Runway Report: Coach 1941 Fall 2016 RTW

Since he has taken reign at Coach creative director Stuart Vevers has continued to champion high levels of basics and American sportswear classics. Sales have been through the roof and Coach is now being seen as a luxury brand yet again. Prior to Vevers being brought on to reinvent the brand I had written Coach off and saw their products as tacky. Now each runway show makes me covet many many many pieces. I would take the oversized letterman style jackets and shearling fur coats with no hesitation. The pieces from this collection are all the elevated American sportswear staples that people covet for their own closets. While I don't see any of these looks making it to the red carpet I can see ladies like Rihanna, Rita Ora, Miley Cyrus, Kate Bosworth, Reese Witherspoon, Miranda Kerr, and Olivia Palermo vying for this collection end up in their closets to elevate their street style looks. I had afond love of all the boots and chunky heeled loafers that were paired with these looks. These shoes are what I bet you we will see a lot of during New York Fashion Week next February as the fashion pack fights the battle between staying chic and staying warm in frigid NYC temps.

Runway Report: Coach 1941 Fall 2016 Menswear

"Finding the heroic in everyday American life." That is the ultimate summary from the Coach 1941 Fall 2016 Menswear collection statement that I received. I continue to enjoy seeing the reinvention of Coach. 3 years ago I would have scoffed off if someone mentioned Coach as a high fashion brand and now I am fawning over everything that (new-ish) creative director Stuart Vevers has been sending down the runways. The reinvention of the brand has made the pieces desirable again and I think that Coach is the perfect brand for budding fashion lovers to start up their designer collections. The leather jackets, shearling and down coats are among the pieces that I can see all over the street style scene on male style stars during fashion month. I am also a huge fan of the quirky jet and t-rex printed sweaters, they evoke this simpler time when fashion was not taken so seriously (but done in a high fashion and serious way.) I am even more excited now to see what Stuart is going to show for the Fall 2016 RTW collection during New York Fashion Week.

Runway Report: Coach Spring/Summer 2016 RTW

Coach Spring 2016 RTW
Coach presented its first ever runway show during New York Fashion Week and I love this collection. I have loved what Stuart Vevers is doing to reinvent and bring Coach back from a long period where the brand was not regarded as a luxury brand. I am happy that Coach is back to creating not just accessories that cool girls want to own but clothing that they want to wear. I love each of the easy going bohemian looks that walked down the runway a NYFW. Each season we are seeing the brand get better and better and I am excited to see what Stuart will bring for Fall 2016.

Runway Report: Coach Fall 2015 RTW

All I can say is WOW. Coach has really reinvented itself as of late. I am seriously loving the new direction that the company has taken. The Fall 2015 Mens show last month made me really excited for the women's show and my expectations were totally surpassed. Taking the focus away from the C printed purses and Stuart Vevers really making the brand a a company I would want to purchase clothing from. Each piece of outerwear that came down the runway was more and more desirable than the last. Since Coach was founded as a leather goods company Vevers thinks that Outerwear is the natural way to expand the company. I have to agree. The basic pieces of the collection, including a cute grey dress, were nice but the outerwear stood out. I think the outerwear was more amazing the shoes and bags that came away from the collection. I am already wanting more. Can Spring be here already? At least I will just have to wait till July for the next collection, Mens Spring 2016!
