2014 End of the Year Awards: Most Disappointing

Well after praising Anne Hathaway yesterday for being my Most Improved, I have to give my Most Disappointing award. This years award goes to Andrea Riseborough. The British actress used to be a favorite of mine when she showed up on the scene in 2011 wearing Christian Dior Couture at the "W.E." premiere during the Venice Film Festival. With those memories in mind I was extremely excited to see that she was amongst the cast of "Birdman," which opened the Venice Film Festival. Sadly all of Andrea's red carpet looks were fugly and the hair and makeup did not help elevate any of the looks, ditto to the styling. The star looked like a high school goth that just happened to have some money. She even wore the same dress just in different colors for the New York Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival. I have to quote the "Fashion Police" and say MAKE IT STOP! I hope that 2014 sees a change in pace for Andrea as I know how much potential that she has.

'Oblivion' Premiere Wish List

One of my Ones to Watch in 2012 was Andrea Riseborough and for the most part she didn't let me down but this year she has had several questionable looks and her makeup artist hates her with a dying passion. I am hoping everything works out for when she makes her red carpet appearance for the LA Premiere of Oblivion. I would love to see the star wear this amazing silver Nicholas Oakwell Spring 2013 Couture gown with layers of beaded fringe. This gown is such a statement that I would love to see her wear her hair up in a tight bun, a silver satin clutch, and a pair of silver satin peep toe pumps would be the perfect finishing touches on this old Hollywood glam look.
Olga Kurylenko is a stunning Ukrainian born French actress who has been breaking into the Hollywood scene with roles as a Bond Girl, in the Showtime series 'Magic City,' and Hitman. Her latest film 'Oblivion.' For the red carpet premiere I would love to see her wear this black Giorgio Armani Fall 2013 RTW gown. This gown is a mix of classic elegance and sexy glamour. Olga has given us some amazing red carpet looks in the past and I am hoping that this premiere will be no different. Finish this look with a black Edie Parker clutch, a pair of Christian Louboutin black peep toe satin pumps, a pair of cluster diamond earrings, and a stack of two diamond bracelets and Olga will have a perfectly accessorized look to wow us with on the red carpet.

2013 BAFTA Awards: Nominee Wish List Part 1

Amy Adams has been looking really pretty on the red carpet as of late but in very simple designs. I think that this Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2013 gown would be absolutely perfect for Amy and the BAFTA Awards. This gown is great for the gold night London weather. Pair this with a black clutch, and some black peep toe pumps and I think she has a winning look on her side.
Andrea Riseborough was one of my Ones to Watch in 2012 after the stunning looks she showcased at the end of 2011 but she really let me down wearing a lot of dumpy looks. The star is being honored with a special rising star award and I am hoping to see her wear something that takes my breath away. This nude leather laser cut Giles Spring 2013 RTW tea length dress would be an absolutely amazing pick for her for this event especially if she modified it into a full length gown. Finish this look with gold Charlotte Olympia pumps and a gold clutch to finish off this edgy look.
I have been having a heard time identifying Anne Hathaway's red carpet style. I feel like she is trying to revert back to her princessy classy choices of the past and I do not feel like they are working with her short hair like the edgy looks that she has been wearing do. Well for the BAFTA Awards I think that this 30's inspired black Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2013 gown would be perfect. Its not the typical 'Anne Hathaway Princess Gown' of the past while not necessarily being extremely edgy either like the looks that I would kill to see her wear are. Finish this look with a black and silver Edie Parker clutch, black sandals, and simple jewels and I may fall in love with my first Anne Hathaway red carpet look in several red carpet appearances.
Elizabeth Olson was another one of my Ones to Watch in 2012 but again she really let me down wearing less than worthy looks that aged her incredibly. For the 2013 BAFTA Awards where she is nominated for Best Young Actress I would love to see the star wear this Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 gown. The black French empire style gown that actually features a pair of black pants incorporated into the look would be a great choice for the star who has shone in Chanel before. Finish this look with a black satin Chanel clutch and some black pumps and I think she will be back on top of my best dressed lists yet again.
When it comes to the red carpet I either love or hate what Helen Hunt wears on the red carpet and on her past few outings I have not been a fan of her looks. I am hoping to see the star redeem herself at the 2013 BAFTA Awards wearing this mauve Badgley Mischka Spring 2013 RTW gown. I think that this is the simple gown with a twist that Helen goes for normally, the twist being the beaded halter of the gown. A gunmetal colored clutch and matching sandals would be the perfect finishing touches for this look and no jewelry for the star who tends to go overboard with the borrowed bling.

2012 Toronto Film Festival: Premiere Wish List Part Seven

Andrea Riseborough was one of last years winners of the 'One To Watch' in last years End of the Year Awards after making a huge splash on the red carpet wearing amazing couture creations last year whilst promoting Madonna's film 'W.E.' in which she stared. Although we have not seen much of Andrea this year she has still given us a few amazing looks from Marchesa and Marios Schwab, she is set to make an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote her newest film 'Disconnect.' Andrea is someone who tends to go for the extravagant looks when she walks the red carpet. For this premiere I would like to see Andrea wear this silver sequin and and nude chiffon draped Vionnet Fall 2012 RTW gown. I think that this look is simple yet makes a huge impact all at the same time and would be perfect for this premiere.
Amy Adams was a no show at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of 'On The Road' but sources say that she will venture to Toronto, Canada for its premiere there. Amy Adams is a huge fan of Giambattista Valli and I am almost positive that she will wear the brand for her premiere. I think that this Giambattista Valli Resort 2013 with a ruffled shoulder gown. Pair this look with gold strappy sandals and a gold clutch and she is red carpet ready.
Kirsten Dunst is one that I either love or hate on the red carpet and while she has had some ok appearances lately she hasn't really wow'ed me in a while. While I do not think that this cheery lemon yellow Andrew Gn Resort 2013 dress would WOW me I think that I would most likely still put this look on the best dressed list especially if she wowed me with some amazing bold accessories like a sparkling gold clutch and a pair of green sandals to really wow me.
Selena Gomez will be promoting her new film 'Spring Breakers' during the TIFF this year and to keep with this fun theme I have chosen to put her in this amazing sapphire blue Moschino Fouall 2012 RTW dress with a feathered skirt. It is a dress that has a young youthful air about it but still has a mature look about it. Finish it off with a blue Edie Parker clutch and gunmetal Jimmy Choo sandals and a high pony tail to complete the look for the red carpet.
Nicole Kidman is about to become a very busy lady on the red carpet promoting all her films in the coming months and attending the Emmy Awards later this month and I am hoping that the Nicole who has been giving us amazing hollywood glamour all year keeps it up. I would love to see her wear this gold emblellished Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture dress with 3/4 length sleeves. Pair this with a pair of gold strappy Manolo Blahnik sandals and a gold Jimmy Choo tube clutch will make an amazing top to this look which has an unexpected open back.
Audrey Tautou shocked the fashion industry for two reasons at this years Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony which premiered her film 'Therese Desqueyroux,' which is also premiering at TIFF, by wearing a tea length dress by Prada instead of Chanel. Well I do not believe that she will stray from the brand for long and will be back in their couture frocks during the Toronto Film Festival. I think that this vintage inspired leaf print dress from the Chanel Fall 2012 Couture collection would be amazing. I think that the ankle length is amazing which keeps this look from being overly formal for the event. Pair this with a black Chanel clutch and some black strappy sandals and this look is complete

Ones to Watch in 2012 Award: Andrea Risenborugh, Elizabeth Olsen, and Felicity Jones

Couldn't choose just one of these stunning girls. I have heard awards season buzz for all of them and I hope to see them on multiple red carpets over the span of awards season and the year.
