2016 Golden Globe Awards: Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries Nominees Wish List

We are just 5 days away from the Golden Globe Awards! I am so excited to see all the amazing looks that are going to gracing the red carpets, today I am making my wishes for the very talented women who are nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries. Up first is American Crime star Felicity Huffman. I can't honestly say that I am expecting Felicity to wow me, it has been a long time since that has happened, but I am sure that she will wear something very pretty. I think that this tangerine Jenny Packham Resort 2016 chiffon halter gown with a neck scarf would be a perfect choice for Felicity to make for this red carpet. I think that by choosing something in such an interesting color will keep me more interested than a dramatic gown in black (which is what I am expecting). I think that the color would compliment her skin tone, as well as her new darker hair. Finished with a  gold clutch, a chic up-do, pink lip, and a pair of gold pumps and this look will be exactly what Felicity needs to get me a little interested in her style again.
I am incredibly excited that Kirsten Dunst has earned a Golden Globe nomination, thanks to Fargo, not because I watch the show but because I love her on the red carpet. Kirsten knows how to work some of the brands known for their edgy designs like Rodarte, Chanel Couture, and Proenza Schouler on the red carpet and I am hoping that she brings one of those brands to the red carpet on Sunday. I would die if she showed up in this black and white Rodarte Spring 2016 RTW silk velvet lace gown with its stunning navy floral embroidery. I think that this gown reminds me of a bygone era and Kirsten is one of the few who I could picture making this gown work off the runway because of that vintage spirit she possesses. With her pale skin, a red lip, vintage inspired hair, diamond drop earrings, a white Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of silver sandals this look would just elevate to a whole other level of red carpet beauty.
I was a little shocked that Lady Gaga was actually nominated for her work on American Horror Story: Hotel, but I am very excited that she is going to be on hand. We have seen a more toned down, by Gaga standards at least, version of Lady Gaga since she has been on the show and I am pretty sure that more demure glam side will be out on display on Sunday night. I honestly predict that Gaga will be wearing a custom gown from one of her fabulous designer friends like Tom Ford, Brandon Maxwell, or Donatella Versace. I personally would love to see Gaga wearing this jet black Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2016 crepe jersey gown which features a racer design neckline, a ruched bodice with grommeted leather trim, and a floor length pleated column skirt. While this look is very subtle, maybe a little too subtle for Gaga since she is actually nominated, I think that it has that rocker edge with the leather grommeted trim that it could make the cut. I think that if she took this look and went full Hollywood with old Hollywood waves, a red lip, diamond chandelier earrings, and a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps that Gaga would slay the Globes red carpet.
I find Queen Latifah to be a delight to see on the red carpet. She might stick to a small group of designers but she always look beautiful. I am hoping that the Bessie actress will really bring it to the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday and I think that she would do exactly that wearing this dark teal Zuhair Murad Fall 2015 Couture halter cape embellished gown. I think that any type of Zuhair Murad cape gown will be compared to JLo at last years Globes but I think that this gown is very different with its fitted sheath gown and cape sleeves. I feel like this is a statement that Queen Latifah has never made on the red carpet and I think that it has a lot of red carpet potential. Finished with a gold clutch, a pair of gold peep toe pumps, chic up-do, and a fierce eye and this look will for sure keep Queen Latifah on the top of Best Dressed Lists.

#Emmys2015: Oustanding Actress in a Lead Role in a Limited Series or Movie Nominee Wish List

I have to say that I am not expecting Felicity Huffman, nominated for "American Crime," on the red carpet at the 2015 Emmy Awards. I picked this white, black, & gold J. Mendel Fall 2015 RTW silk crepe scarf draped halter neck column gown. I think that this gown is perfect for Felicity for the Emmys as I think that this gown is simple, as she isn't expected to win, yet still sophisticated enough to wear if she does. Finish with a pair of gold sandals, a gold clutch, and pulled up hair and Felicity is ready for the Emmy Awards red carpet.
I love to see Maggie Gyllenhaal on the red carpet. I am always surprised by what she ends up wearing. I would go with something incredibly chic for the 2015 Emmy Awards. I think that this ivory and black Vionnet Resort 2016 draped column gown with its asymmetrical neckline is something that a modern day Jackie-O would wear and is a perfect gown to wear for an awards show. A pair of gold sandals, a gold Edie Parker clutch, pop of color via precious stone Bulgari earrings inlaid in yellow gold, and a red lip and Maggie will be red carpet ready and one of my favorite looks of the night in this Vionnet ensemble.
Queen Latifah is producing some awards buzz around her HBO movie "Bessie," so I am sure that the actress will show up on the Emmy Awards red carpet working it. I have to say that when Georges Chakra and the Queen work together on a red carpet look that it usually results in magic, I mean I predicted that she would wear the red gown that she wore to the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party (though it was green on the runway). I picked this Georges Chakra Fall 2015 RTW gown which features a black and grey geometric sequined bodice and a simple black silk crepe skirt. I think that this gown on Queen Latifah would just hug, and accentuate, her famous curves. Finished with a pair of dazzling diamond chandelier earrings, a black Edie Parker clutch, a pair of black Christian Louboutin sandals, chic old Hollywood waves draped over one shoulder, and a red lip and Queen Latifah is ready to accept and Emmy in style.

I will be live tweeting this years Emmy Awards red carpet and telecast with Kelly from Dream In Lace on September 20. I hope you will follow me and Kelly on Twitter and join in on the conversation! I am excited as this is our awards tradition now, so pop your bubbly and join in the fun.

2012 Emmy Awards: 'Desperate Housewives' Cast Wish List

On October 3rd 2004 ABC television transported viewers to suburbia by way of Wisteria Lane and its new show 'Desperate Housewives.' Since then there have been eight seasons and thirteen years between the beginning and the series finale in May of this year. Whilst none of the cast of the show this year are nominated for any awards in 2012 I would like to believe that they will be there to celebrate their show. Eva Longoria who was the pool boy's mistress in 'Desperate Housewives' is the most likely to attended the event and if she does I would love for her to wear an this amazing fully beaded Georges Hobeika ice blue strapless mermaid gown. Eva has worn Georges Hobeika a few times in the past and has always looked amazing in his designs. Add a silver clutch, silver pumps, a small pair of drop diamond earrings and a small diamond bracelet and this look will look absolutely amazing.
Felicity Huffman looked amazing wearing a nude lame Romona Kevesa gown for the 2012 Golden Globe awards and I think that this asymetical halter neck black Pamella Roland Fall 2012 RTW gown would look just as amazing as the Romona did. I think that this is a classic gown but is still edgy and I love the embellishements that are not too over the top. Add a simple black embellished clutch by either Judith Leiber, Swarovski, or Edie Parker and some black strappy sandals, as well as some statement jewelry by way of earrings and a bracelet and Felicity will look demure and sexy. Anything but 'Desperate.'
Marcia Cross had fallen of the face of the red carpet world until last fall when she arrived at the 2012 ALMA Awards with the rest of her cast. Marcia used to always blow me away wearing designers like Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuillier, Marc Bouwer, and on many occasions Elie Saab. I would love for her to make another appearance in a gown by the beloved red carpet couturier at this years Emmy Awards. I love this amazing grey, gold and peacock blue chiffon gown with spaghetti straps. A gold clutch paired with gold strappy sandals the look would be complete.
Teri Hatcher is another one of the 'Housewives' who doesn't make regular red carpet appearances but I am hoping to see at the 2012 Emmy Awards. I think that this amazing matte black and embellished black color blocked Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 RTW gown would be a great choice for her. I think that this gown would just accentuate all of Teri's curves. Add simple black accessories and then some amazing bold sapphire, ruby, or emerald jewelry to make the look POP.
Last but not least we have the former beauty queen and ABC tv show veteran who looks has had leading roles in Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives and has a new comedy coming up on the network called '666 Park Ave.' I am hoping to see a lot of DIVA drama on the 2012 Emmy red carpet from the former Miss America. I think that this maroon deep cute high slit draped Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 RTW gown with a small hip peplum is an amazing choice for the star. Add a gold Edie Parker clutch, gold strappy sandals and some amazing gold earrings and a bracelet would make her shine like the crystals in her tiara or one of the statues that will be handed out that night.
