#Cannes2015: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

One of the highlights of the Cannes Film Festival is definitely the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. This years benefit will take place next Thursday evening and one of the nights hostesses is L'Oreal brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai. Much like Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya usually wears one traditional sari during the course of the festival, the gold Tarun Tahiliani sari almost made my Best Dressed of the Year list in 2013. Since I picked couture gowns fro Aishwarya to wear on the red carpets at the premieres I decided to pick a sari for her to wear for amfAR. I personally love this simple black Surendri bu Yogesh Chaudhary Spring 2015 silk sari wil gold embroidery along hems. The simplistic sense of this ensemble makes it extremely elegant and perfect for the amfAR red carpet. Finished with Chopard earrings, a pair of black Christian Louboutin sandals, a red lip, and an elegant up do this look would make waves during Cannes.

Charlize Theron is not confirmed to attend the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, but as an avid supporter of AIDS Charities. With "Mad Max: Fury Road," Charlize's latest flick, premiering days before the amfAR Gala I would love to see Charlize take to the red carpet. I am kinda in love with the idea of Charlize ditching her Dior duties in favor of this black Marchesa Fall 2015 RTW silk crepe column gown which features a fold over neckline that plunges in the back, an asymmetrical detailed skirt and gold metallic threadwork embroidery.I think that this gown would look chic on Charlize and give an impact making look despite being an almost all black gown. Finish the look with a red lip, black Dior sandals, and a gold Dior clutch to ensure that Charlize is the epitome of glamour.

Diane Kruger, like Aishwarya Rai, is going to be one of the hostesses of the 2015 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. I love to see Diane on the red carpet and she always brings even more during Cannes. For amfAR I would love to see Diane wear this Chanel Cruise 2016 sequined candy striped strapless midi gown with electric blue chiffon overlay. Diane immediately sprang to mind the moment that I saw this dress and I am praying that she gets her hands on it. With a gold clutch and gold sandals Diane would have a perfect look for the gala which takes place ocean side.

Dita von Teese almost always makes an appearance at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala during  the Cannes Film Festival. Dita sat front row at the Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture presentation back in January and I am anxiously awaiting which look from the collection Dita will wear on the red carpet. I would pick this floral embellished Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture caped a-line cocktail dress for Dita to wear on the amfAR red carpet. This gown would fit right in with Dita's classic beauty MO on the red carpet. Finished with a pair of gold Christian Louboutin pumps and her signature beauty look Dita would evoke a lighter side of classic glamour on the red carpet during the amfAR Gala next Thursday.

#Cannes2015: L'Oreal Ladies Aishwarya Rai, Blake Lively & Cheryl Fernadez-Versini Wish List

Bollywood starlet Aishwarya Rai has been a queen of the Cannes Film Festival red carpet for years. The L'Oreal Paris ambassador to India always knows how to BRING it to the red carpet. Last year he major look was a gold Roberto Cavalli couture gown that she worked like it owed her years of back rent. I am excited to see what the Indian beauty will wear this year. I would love to see Aishwarya dig into the Armani Prive archives and pick up this green layered strapless fully beaded mermaid gown from the Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture collection. I have been long awaiting someone to pick this gown up and wear it on the red carpet and I think that Aishwarya would be the perfect woman to give this gown its moment. The other look I would love to see Aishwarya to wear on the red carpet at the Palais de Festivals would be the grey Elie Saab Spring 2015 Couture beaded and feathered cap sleeved a-line gown. This is a perfect statement for the Cannes red carpet because it is glamorous while taking a major risk, and the feathers would flow beautifully with the sea breeze from the French Riviera. Flawless hair and make-up courtesy of the L'Oreal Paris masters and Chopard jewels will finish this look off perfectly for the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Blake Lively slayed her first ever Cannes Film Festival last year. In fact her custom black and white Gucci Premiere gown that she wore for the "Captives" premiere topped my 2014 Best Dressed of the Year list. I am hoping for a major repeat performance this year. While Blake will most likely wear a custom Gucci gown I decided to stray away from that as the way Gucci is heading has me very scared. I instead went to the king of red carpet glamour and this stunning white Elie Saab Spring 2015 RTW fully beaded sheath gown with flowing cape train. This gown would be an amazing glamorous statement for Blake to make on the Cannes red carpet. Blake has been a busy bee as of late, she had 10 looks in 1 day this week, whilst promoting her new film "The Age of Adeline" and it seems like she has no intentions of slowing down. The other gown I picked for Blake is this absolutely stunning Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015 RTW gown with its extreme sweetheart neckline. I am sure that this gown will make an appearance between the White House Correspondents Dinner tonight, the Met Ball on May 4, or the Cannes Film Festival.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (Cole) usually only jets to the French Riviera for one premiere for the Cannes Film Festival, while her other L'Oreal spokesmodels usually do at least two premieres and a few parties. I am hoping that Cheryl will take a break from her oh so busy schedule to walk the carpet at two premieres this year. The first look I picked for the British pop star is an avant garde ivory and gold Georges Chakra Spring 2015 Couture strapless gown. I wouldn't normally associate Georges Chakra gowns with the Cannes Film Festival, only Elizabeth Banks has made me love one of his gowns at the festival in 2010, as I normally associate Georges Chakra with country music awards shows. I think that Cheryl would make this gown look like an expensive modern twist on a classic silhouette. The other look I would love to see Cheryl rock on the Cannes red carpet is this Stephane Rolland Spring 2015 Couture silver crystal embellished long sleeved top and white flowing chiffon skirt. This look is sleek, modern, and glamorous and perfect for Cannes where modernity and glamour are on the menu for a perfect Cannes red carpet look.

2014 Cannes Film Festival: L'Oreal Spokesmodels Aishwarya Rai, Araya Hargate, Barbara Palvin, & Bianca Balti Wish List

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN IT IS NOW THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, ITS TIME TO START THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL WISH LISTS! Like every year we will be kicking things off with the lovely ladies whose job it is to walk the red carpets in couture just to add some glamour, that is right I am talking about the stunning L'Oreal Paris spokesmodels. Up first is Aishwarya Rai, the stunning actress from India. Each and every single year Aishwarya returns to the red carpet and rocks the most stunning gowns. Last year she rocked Gucci Premiere, Elie Saab, and two couture saris and looked absolutely amazing. This year I have two wishes for her. First is this amazing black Armani Prive Fall 2013 Couture embellished gown. I am surprised that no one picked up this gown since July of last year and I am praying to see it on the Cannes red carpet and Aishwarya would be the perfect woman to bring it to life on the croisette. The other is this goldenrod Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture draped gown, its so elegant and goddess inspired that Aishwarya would look absolutely stunning.

Last year Araya Hargate made her Cannes Film Festival debut wearing a midnight blue Salvatore Ferragamo fringe gown and a green Zac Posen ballgown and I am excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet next month with L'Oreal. The first look that I can see Araya rocking on the red carpet is this bright green Christian Dior Fall 2014 RTW, while her last green moment (the Zac Posen) might not have been one that most applauded but I do think that this minimalist moment would defiantly be. The other look I picked is more glam this black to burgundy Elie Saab Fall 2014 RTW halter ombre gown with a sexy slit would give the opposition to the other look. I would have this look modified to include a really long train because the steps into the Palais de Festivals needs a dramatic moment.

Two years ago Barbara Palvin, the Hungarian supermodel, rocked Valentino Couture girly beaded gown and last year a sexy Alexandre Vauthier tuxedo, I am hoping that she brings back the glamor for this year because the tux just did not work for me. The first gown I would pick for Barbara is this dove grey Alexis Mabille Fall 2013 Couture long sleeved pearl embellished gown. This is seriously one of my favorite gowns from the Fall 2013 Couture collections and it has yet to be worn which makes me incredibly sad. The other is a sexy, yet sophisticated, Versace Fall 2014 RTW red silk chiffon gown with gold embellishments. This gown would mix the statements of the past while the first would much more go back to the glamour that the Valentino evoked.

Bianca Balti is a stunning model and sometimes knows how to get it right on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Last year was not one of her finer years with the unflattering pin Chanel Couture gown she paired with clunky black accessories. I am hoping that this year she redeems herself with stunning moments that shut the red carpet down. The first gown I picked is this black, stone, and gold Alberta Ferretti Fall 2014 RTW gown. This gown needs a woman with presence to rock it and Bianca definitely has that. The same can be said about the cram colored Chanel Fall 2013 Couture halter gown that I have also picked. Only a model and like 3 actresses in Hollywood would be able to pull this gown off and what would be a better option than Chanel Couture to add glamor to a red carpet.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: L'Oreal Spokesmodel's Wish List Part 1

 The Cannes Film Festival just like the Met Ball is just around the corner. As a sponsor of the event L'Oreal Paris sends all of their spokesmodels just to walk the red carpet and add a dose of Hollywood glamour to the red carpet. Ironically the first actress we have up for a wish list is not a Hollywood name but a Bollywood name. Aishwarya Rai is an Indian star and obviously a face of L'Oreal. She has a huge relationship with Elie Saab and I always expect at least once look by the designer worn by her during the duration of the festival. Last year I was disappointing with her blue gown from Elie Saab's Fall 2011 Couture collection (pictured L). Well I have three looks by the designer for the star to choose from. First is a powder blue ball gown from the Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture, out of all the looks this is best for a premiere. I think that this gown encompasses the go big or go home mentality of Cannes for the major stars. Next is a stunning electric blue long sleeved Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2013 gown, this is much more of a party ensemble and as L'Oreal throws some amazing parties during the course of the festival. Finally we have this midnight blue Elie Saab Fall 2013 RTW beaded gown. This could go for either a party or a standard non-gala premiere.

 Last May model Barbara Palvin made her Cannes red carpet debut looking stunning in a chevron Valentino Fall 2011 Couture gown. I am looking forward to seeing what the stunning Hungarian beauty will bring to the red carpet this year. First look I have for her is this stunning red Armani Prive Spring 2013 Couture gown. She should feel honored that I have wished for her to wear this as it was one of my favorites of the Spring 2013 Couture collections. She would look amazing in this and as a face of L'Oreal she would not go unnoticed. Next is a stunning Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 pale pink floral embroidered gown. I think that this would look amazing against Barbara's pale skin. Last but not least I have a stunning white and gold baroque print Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 Couture gown. Again another one of my favorites of the Spring 2013 Couture collections and it is my favorite of these looks for Barbara to wear as it totally embodies the Cannes experience.

Finally we have Beyonce. The stunning actress and pop star has not been on a Cannes Film Festival red carpet as a L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel and hasn't been on the famous stairs at the event since the 2006 Premiere of her film 'Dreamgirls' during the festival. I am hoping that between stops in France at the same time as the festival that the star will make her first appearance at the festival. The first look I would like to see Beyonce wear for the festival is this black tulle with gold embroidery Marchesa Fall 2013 RTW strapless mermaid gown. I watched the video of this collection and this dress is stunning and in the finale they showed the dress without the jacket and it is just even more stunning. The second option I have for the star is this amazing red Zuhair Murad Fall 2012 Couture gown. This gown is sexy and light which embodies the goal of everyone's look when they walk the red carpet at Cannes. The last look that I picked is tone on tone black Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 RTW gown. This is just a sultry sexy look that Bey would rock on any red carpet and I think that she would stand out at Cannes wearing.

Cannes Film Festival: L'Oreal Paris Spokesmodel Aishwarya Rai Wish List

 The Cannes Film Festival is probably the most fashionable event of the entire year and I always look forward to it. One of major reasons that the event is so fashionable is that the organizers pair up with their sponsors to make it even more fabulous. L'Oreal sends two of their spokes models to everyone of the major premieres and a bunch of the events. Aishwarya Rai is one of the most stunning foreign actress that I have ever seen and I always look forward to the choices she makes. She has worn Elie Saab couture, Armani Prive, Gucci Premiere, and Roberto Cavalli all on the red carpet at this event in the past.

I have decided to put her in three of her favorite designers and then one look that I would DIE to see her in. First we have this smokey green Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture ball gown, I think that this would look stunning on the actress who tends to wear one gown by the designer for the festival. The second look is this stunning periwinkle blue Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture gown, I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this gown and she might be able to wear it for one of the more subdued parties not a grand premiere because if she did then maybe they might make connections to a gown that was the same color from the same collection in 2010. The third wish I have for her is what I would like for her to wear for the opening ceremony because she always attends the opening ceremony. I think that this lavender and gold Marchesa Fall 2012 RTW gown and she would look absolutely stunning. And last but not least we have a party look for one of the Roberto Cavalli parties, this stunning black and blue Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 RTW gown.
