2016 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 14

We are close to the end of my Oscar parties wish lists, and we are going to go out strong. Emmy Rossum is always one that I am excited to see on the red carpet and she usually steps out for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, so I am hoping that next Sunday she will be one of the gorgeous women out on the red carpet. I would die to see Emmy wearing this strapless Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture floral embroidered tea length gown. I think that this gown would make for very chic red carpet moment for Emmy on the Vanity Fair red carpet. Old Hollywood waves, a red lip, yellow clutch, a pair of red pumps, and diamond cluster earrings would finish this red carpet look perfectly.
Jennifer Lopez is currently on hiatus from her Las Vegas residency as she judges the final season of American Idol so I am hoping that she will journey to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party giving us life with her red carpet moment. I have been wanting to see Jennifer wearing this silver Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 Couture long sleeve embellished gown since it first took to the runway. Since she is not going to the main show why not wear it for the party? I think that this gown mixes classic JLo sexy with high glam which makes it a perfect look for an Oscar night red carpet. Sultry styling via old Hollywood waves pushed over one shoulder, a silver clutch, a pair of silver pumps, diamond cluster earrings, and a red lip would ensure that JLo kills the red carpet.
Lea Michele is one of the celebrity co-chairs for the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and I gotta say that I am kinda not looking forward to seeing her. In the past year or so Lea has not delivered anything on the red carpet that has made me stop and take notice. I would love to see her wearing this ruby red Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture strapless embellished cocktail dress. Lea will most likely show up on the red carpet in some gown but I think that this cocktail ensemble is a perfect look for Oscar night. One can get away with shunning a gown for an Oscar party red carpet if it is avant garde or haute couture. Keeping the styling low key is the most important part of keeping this look perfect. I would have a pair of dyed to match ruby red satin peep toe pumps, a diamond bracelet, red lip, and a pair of diamond drop earrings on hand to ensure that Lea has a wow moment.
After appearing at the Academy Governors Awards late last year and appearing on the cover of the 2016 Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue, I am betting that Rachel Weisz is at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party next Sunday night. Rachel is one that I loved seeing on the red carpet last year and I hope that love continues on Oscar night. I picked this hot off the runway purple velvet Ralph Lauren Fall 2016 RTW strapless gown for Rachel as I think that it would give us a chic modern interpretation of old Hollywood glamour. Classic styling including a chic updo, a red lip, black clutch, a pair of black pumps, and a statement diamond necklace would finish this look off perfectly for Rachel.
Riley Keough brings cool girl chic to every red carpet that she steps onto. I am hoping that the Mad Max: Fury Road actress will be out on the Vanity Fair red carpet next Sunday. I would love to see Riley walking the red carpet in this Altuzarra Fall 2016 RTW sequined red and black handkerchief gown. It would take a woman with a very relaxed type of glamour to make this gown work on the red carpet and Riley has that type of red carpet persona. Blown out waves, a dark red lip, and black pumps would ensure that Riley kills the Vanity Fair red carpet.

#Cannes2015: "Mad Max: Fury Road" Premiere Wish List

Charlize Theron is the 3rd Dior lady that will be on hand at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival to promote a movie. Out of the three Charlize is definitely the Dior lady that I am most excited to see on the red carpet. Charlize has been the only spokesmodel who has had no problem with the transition from the Galliano-era  to the Simons-era at Dior and I love it. For the "Mad Max: Fury Road" photocall I would love to see Charlize wear this amazing heather grey Prabal Gurung Fall 2015 RTW Cashmere flannel asymmetrical dress which features a square neck with a fitted bodice, a wraparound design with a silver detail at the hip and a pleated skirt with a split at the hem. This dress, despite being flannel, makes me think of the French Riviera and I think that Charlize would make this look effortless with a pair of gold sandals for the outdoor photocall. Changing things up for the premiere I would love to see Charlize wear this stunning Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture chiffon gown with white sequin circle dress underneath. I absolutely adore this gown, it is modern and sexy in a very subtle way. Charlize should pair this gown with a pair of Chopard diamond cluster earrings, a small silver Dior clutch, black Dior sandals, a sleek hairstyle, and a red lip to ensure that Charlize just oozes modern glamour on the Cannes red carpet.
Last year Riley Keough defied the go big or go home Cannes Film Festival dress code by wearing a white mens button with a Valentino butterfly silk jacquard knee length skirt. This statement really solidified Riley as a cool girl on the red carpet and I am really excited to see what she will wear to promote "Mad Max" during the festival. For the photocall I would love to see Riley wear this blue, white, yellow, and black Roland Mouret Pre-Fall 2015 dress with its abstract print. I think that this is a classic yet very cool statement for Riley to wear on the Cannes Red Carpet. For the premiere I want to see Riley call up Valentino again and get her hands on this Valentino Spring 2013 Couture black long sleeved sheer ball gown. While this gown is extremely covered up Riley would look amazing and I think that she would still exude sex appeal. Finish this look off with simple slicked back hair, a bold cocktail ring, and a pair of black pumps and Riley will waft down the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival with a major moment that will just solidify her cool girl status forever.
Its been a long while since we have seen Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on a promo tour for a movie, and I am super looking forward to seeing what the former Victoria's Secret Angel will rock on the red carpet. For the Cannes Film Festival stop on this big budget promo tour I am even more excited to see what Rosie will wear. At the daytime photocall I would love to see Rosie wear this white Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2015 RTW long sleeve pleated chiffon dress with maroon details. I think that this sporty yet feminine dress is perfect for a Cannes photocall. Paired with a pair of maroon Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals and flowing waves, Rosie will exude effortless glamour for the photocall. Upping the glam factor uncountable numbers for the big premiere I would love to see the British model and actress turn to British based couture brand Ralph & Russo. This creamy Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture caped goddess gown with lace bodice details would literally make me swoon if Rosie stepped out on the red carpet at the Palais de Festivals in it. Finish the look with a chic up-do, a pair of gold sandals, and some stunning Chopard cluster earrings and this look will literally be in contention for one of the best looks from Cannes.
And last but not least I have a wish for edgy rocker chick Zoe Kravitz. Last year Zoe made her film festival debut at the Venice Film Festival where she wore Balenciaga & Armani Prive. I loved her Balenciaga look during the photocall but the Armani Prive gown at the premiere fell flat. For the "Mad Max: Fury Road" photocall in Cannes I would love to see Zoe wear this stunning long sleeved Valentino Pre-Fall 2015 powder blue trapeze dress. This fun flirty dress is perfect for a Cannes Film Festival photocall overlooking the French Riviera. Paired with a pair of black sandals would be all that would be needed to finish off this perfect photocall ensemble. For the premiere I am actually hoping that Zoe dares to defy the typical gown dress code for the Cannes Film Festival and rocks this silver embroidered and embellished Balenciaga Fall 2015 RTW midi cocktail dress. I am literally in love with this look and I think that for Cannes and Zoe's red carpet style that this dress is perfection. Paired with another, or the same pair, of black sandals, a pair of diamond cluster earrings, and a diamond bracelet courtesy of Chopard and Zoe will slay the Cannes red carpet.

2014 End of the Year Awards: Ones to Watch in 2015

My One to Watch last year, Lupita Nyong'o, did not disappoint so I am hoping that the same will be come the next year with the four ladies that I have chosen this year. Usually I try to cut it down to one but each of these ladies that are featured have me excited for the year to come for different reasons. Amal Clooney showcased her sartorial style during her wedding weekend festivities in Venice, Italy earlier this year. I am excited to see what the new Mrs. George Clooney will wear as a plus one to major events that her hubby may attend in the coming year. Up next is supermodel turned actress Cara Delevinge. The 22 year old British superstar has five movies coming out in the next year which just helps cement her "IT" girl status even more. What I love so much about Cara is that she knows how to balance glamorous red carpet dressing with her rocker edgy personality. A repeat appearance on this list is Felicity Jones. I put her on this list back when this blog first started and we really did not see her live up to that title until this year. With an awards season run, most likely ultimately ending with an Academy Award nomination, as well as two films premiering in 2015 I will be extremely excited to see if Felicity gives me the red carpet run that I have been waiting for. Last but not least we have Riley Keough. Three films, including the much anticipated "Mad Max: Fury Road" adaptation, being released in 2015. I am excited to see what the actress, who this year shunned the gown for events like the Met Ball and Cannes Film Festival, will wear for her major premieres.
