2013 Cannes Film Festival: 'The Past' Premiere

On Friday, the 17th, Berenice Bejo will debut her latest film 'The Past' at this years Cannes Film Festival. In 2011 Berenice presented her film 'The Artist' that went on to take home the Best Picture Academy Award and garnered a nomination for Best Supporting Actress Oscar as well. Last year after jutting into red carpet fame during awards season Berenice took to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival as the Mistress of Ceremonies rocking ensembles by Louis Vuitton, Prada, Christian Dior, and Giambattista Valli. Berenice took to the red carpet at Cannes wearing two different Giambattista Valli Couture ensembles once at the Chopard Trophy party and again at the amFAR Cinema Against AIDS gala. I am hoping that the Argentinian actress will wear the brand yet again when she premieres 'The Past.' This amazing white Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture ball gown with a gold embellished waist. This is a grand gown that deserves the Cannes Film Festival as the platform for it to be worn. Chopard jewelry, a glamorous up-do, and some amazing gold sandals and Berenice will continue to show why she was last years Best Dressed Newcomer.
Nicole Kidman has really been wowing me on the red carpet lately and I am hoping that it keeps up during the course of this festival. Former face of Chanel No. 5 I believe that Nicole will don a few Chanel looks during the course of the 11 day festival. For this premiere I would love to see her wear this black, white, and red Chanel Spring 2013 Couture floral print sequined gown. I am only not sure if she will wear this because it is incredibly similar to the Chanel couture gown Anna Wintour wore for the 2013 Met Ball. Add a red Jimmy Choo tube clutch, a pair of black Jimmy Choo pumps and Nicole will wow on the red carpet wearing a stunning couture ensemble.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: 'The Immigrant' Premiere

Marion Cotillard will present her second film of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival 'The Immigrant' on May 23rd adding a little glamour to the end of the festival. For this premiere much like the one for 'Blood Ties' I have dug into the Christian Dior archives to find a gown for Marion to wear. While I do love what Raf Simons has done for Dior the collections are limited as they are hot tickets so I do believe that Marion will wear a custom creation by creative director Mr Simons I am going to put out some wishful thinking. This teal and yellow Christian Dior Fall 2005 Couture gown designed by John Galliano is one of my favorite gowns from this house of all time and I am surprised I have never seen this gem turn up on the red carpet. Of course I would have the gown lined but in gold not nude or yellow. A 1920's finger wave inspired hairstyle, a teal clutch, and some gold sandals are what is needed to add the finishing touches to this amazing gown.
For jury member Nicole Kidman I also looked back the Fall 2005 Couture collection archives. I am expecting amazing things out of Nicole during the course of the festival and I think that this midnight blue Elie Saab Fall 2005 Couture gown is a perfect choice. Now I am sure that since the announcement that she was going to be a jury member designers have been throwing current runway and custom gowns at the stunning Australian beauty. Despite this I think that Nicole would look absolutely in this amazing beaded gown. Add to this amazing gown a blue clutch, and some amazing Jimmy Choo sandals as Nicole was announced yesterday as the new face of the brand, and some amazing sapphire and diamond jewelry by event sponsor Chopard and Nicole will hit another red carpet home run.
Another wish for Mistress of Ceremonies Audrey Tautou to wear while attending the premieres during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Face of Chanel No. 5 and a woman who has played the famed designer herself. Another archive pick for the red carpet this amazing gold and blue Chanel Fall 2009 Couture peplum gown would be the perfect option for Audrey to wear during the festival. I am hoping that she fairs better than she did at her photocall yesterday wearing a lackluster Red Valentino sundress. Finish this Chanel gown with a pair of black pumps and she will be absolutely wow me on the red carpet.

MTV Video Music Awards Wish List: Florence Welch

I freaking LOVE Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine!!! She always looks so amazing on the red carpet is things that many others would turn their noses up at and say why the hell would anyone wear that. I will admit that she has made me like more than a few thing that she has worn that I hated on the runway. For this even I choose to put Florence in one of her favorite designers Valentino. This gown is got this amazing 70s vibe from it and she rocks that style so often. I love the colors and I think that they would make the red tone of her hair just stand out!
To finish the look I added complimentary colors through a Kotur clutch, Nicholas Kirkwood sandals, Chopard earrings, and a Bulgari ring.

Random Wish List: Hailee Steinfeld

Hailee Steinfeld has taken the fashion world by storm since she first stepped out in Marchesa Spring 2011 RTW at the Critics Choice Awards. She made it through awards season wearing designers such as Prada, Miu Miu, Prabal Gurung, and another Marchesa. But recently has been dressing beyond her teen years, so I have come up with four red carpet looks for her. To make it easier to visualize her in the dress I placed her head on the models body. X-D. The Blue Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture mini dress is paired with a blue Judith Leiber clutch, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, Loree Rodkin diamond earrings, and a Harry Winston ring; the Marchesa Resort 2012 cocktail dress is paired with an aqua Nancy Gonzalez clutch paired with aqua Brian Atwood peep toe pumps and matching Bulgari earrings; to top off the Miu Miu Resort 2012 ensemble I choose to pair it with a black and orange Alexander McQueen Union Jack clutch and orange Versace shooties; and last but not least I have paired the pink Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 gown with a pink and purple butterfly Judith Leiber clutch, crystal encrusted Jimmy Choo sandals, Cartier chandelier earrings, and a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels diamond bracelet.
