Zhang Ziyi to wear the Resort 2014 Collections

 Zhang Ziyi has been one of my favorite non mainstream red carpet stars especially after her successful run at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival wearing couture almost exclusively but the stunning Chinese actress doesn't discriminate against Resort or Ready to Wear collections for her red carpet ensembles either. This white Chanel Resort 2014 gown with an embellished shoulder piece would look amazing on Zhang who really knows how to take the complicated looks and make them look effortless and chic. This has to be one of the best Chanel gowns that was featured in this collection but it will definitely bot be chosen by a mainstream star as like I said it is a complicated look.

 A more casual look for Zhang to pull for maybe a photocall or other more casual appearance would be this amazing leaf print Peter Pilotto Resort 2014 dress. This dress is a sexy yet sophisticated look that would be absolutely divine on Zhang. I would pair this dress with the same yellow Christian Louboutin pointy toe pumps that Zhang wore with her Giambattista Valli dress at the 'Un Certain Regard' jury photocall during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. In fact this Peter Pilotto dress seems like a bit of a commercial version of that garden inspired couture dress (pictured left.)

Last but not least we have this absolutely amazing Zac Posen Resort 2014 ball gown. The Zac Posen Resort 2014 collection was a glamorous 30s inspired glamour collection and that this amazing ball gown is another one of those looks that not many would gravitate toward and I think Zhang Ziyi is one of the few women in the entire world that could take this avant garde gown and make it work on a red carpet and make me love it! I hope you have enjoyed my insight into the Resort 2014 collections, there are even more amazing ensembles that I am sure will be making it onto wish lists for fall Awards Shows and Film Festivals so keep on the look out!

Emilia Clarke to wear the Resort 2014 Collections

 Emilia Clarke has defiantly been on my radar this year after she broke her steady run of Chanel only looks. One of the designers that she broke away with was a stunning Altuzarra dress while doing press for her hit HBO show 'Game of Thrones.' I think that this blue and white long sleeved Altuzarra Resort 2014 backless dress would be another perfect look for Emilia to wear while out on the promotional trail be it for 'Game of Thrones' or her Venice Film Festival contender 'Dom Hemingway.' Emilia usually looks the part of a glamorous fashion forward woman so I could totally see her rocking this dress with a pair of white high heeled sandals and loose wavy locks so that the focus would still be on any interview that she would give.

 An up and coming red carpet star should also wear other up and coming red carpet stars (no not in the Hannibal Lector way but up an coming celebrities should wear up and coming designers which is what I am wishing for with this amazing black with silver embellishment Maxime Simoens Resort 2014 gown. This gown has to be one of my favorites from all of the Resort 2014 collections. I am hoping to see it on some major red carpet between now and awards season and I think Emilia would be the perfect choice to give this gown its much needed red carpet moment. Finish the look with a black Edie Parker confetti clutch and a pair of crystal embellished Jimmy Choo sandals as well as some stunning Chopard diamonds would be the perfect top off to this amazing ensemble.

The final wish for Emilia is this amazing blush pink Zac Posen Resort 2014 strapless  peplum cocktail dress. Another favorite from the Resort 2014 collections and possibly one with the most potential to make it onto a major red carpet and I am hoping that Emilia will be the one to scoop it up especially after being the date of Zac to the amFAR Gala to Kick Off New York Fashion Week. This would be perfect for a pre-Emmy party or even the HBO Emmy Awards After Party. A pair of gold Jimmy Choo 'Lance' sandals and a gold Judith Leiber clutch would be the perfect options to finish off this amazing ensemble.

Anna Wintour to wear the Resort 2014 Collections

This past year we have actually seen a lot more of Anna Wintour attending parties than we have in the past. It used to be Met Ball and CFDA Events were the only time that we saw the infamous Vogue editor on the red carpet but this year we have seen her out and about at other events showcasing her signature style. Anna may be the woman who gets to dictate to the world how they must dress for the coming season but she always takes the runway looks that suit her lady like style or have things modified to suit her style. This black and blue Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 cocktail dress is a total Anna dress and as she and Carolina have an out of office fashion relationship I could definitely see Mrs Wintour wearing this for a cocktail event or even during Spring 2014 RTW Fashion Week.

 Anna Has already scooped up one Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 dress which she wore with a scooped up Marc Jacobs Resort 2014 cropped jacket to the 2013 CFDA Awards (pictured left) and I am sure that this will not be the only dress from the designers Resort 2014 collection that we will see Mrs Wintour wear. I think that this navy blue and white plaid Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 dress for a normal day inside the Vogue offices deciding on layouts and which looks will be featured in the next issue.

And last but not least I have my dark horse wish for the chic Vogue editor which is this white and black printed Thakoon Resort 2014 dress with pleated side hem panels. Thakoon was a runner up in the 2006 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition which really launched his career and garnered Anna's attention. While she may not wear his pieces as often as those of Chanel, Prada, or Oscar de la Renta the young brand has certainly had a few outings from Anna. This dress would have to be modified so that the sheer panels are no longer sheer because I could not see Anna rocking any type of sheer panels.

Olivia Palermo to wear the Resort 2014 Collections

Olivia Palermo has been giving Miranda Kerr a run for her model money in the street style department lately stepping out in several absolutely fabulous ensembles while traveling and out and about in NYC. I think some of the Resort 2014 collections would help add a boost to her street style and help boost her to the Best Street Style Award win. First we have this green and brown printed Carven Resort 2014 shirt dress. I think that this is something that Olivia would look absolutely stunning wearing as she runs around New York from designer showroom to designer showroom. I could see Olivia pairing this dress with her Valentino 'Rockstud' python dome bag and a pair of Zara multi-strap camel sandals to complete this business ready fashion forward look.

I thought that this Emilio Pucci Resort 2014 ensemble which consists of a coral blouse and a pair of baby pink pants would also be a great choice for Olivia as it is a little more casual and easy to do a large amount of running as she goes from the office, to lunch, to a photo shoot. I think that this look will most likely be scooped up for a photocall during the Venice, Toronto, or Rome Film Festivals but Olivia would look just as good as any Hollywood actress wearing this. Where Olivia would have the upper hand is in her top notch styling which I could see including her raspberry Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton handbag and a pair of Sergio Rossi 'Oberoj' multi colored and patterned sandals to complete this amazing ensemble for Olivia.

In April, Olivia Palermo attended a Louis Vuitton boutique opening in Munich, Germany as well as being a regular at the Louis Vuitton runway shows. These events have brought me to choose this flirty BOHO Louis Vuitton Resort 2014 yellow dress as my final wish for the sartorial diva. Olivia can either be very Upper West Side chic or Flirty with more of a European BOHO inspired look which is were my inspiration for this ensemble comes from.  A Chloe 'Marcie' light brown leather bag and Lanvin satin crisscross sandals would be the perfect look for a casual day off of sightseeing and lunches around the city.

Miranda Kerr to wear the Resort 2014 Collections

Miranda Kerr had the Best Street Style Award in lock last year with several amazing sidewalk style looks this year it seems the stunning Victoria's Secret model has a little competition from Olivia Palermo, Beyonce, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and I have a feeling that it will be a close race to the bitter end. Today I'm going to bring you a few looks that would help boot Miranda up on the Best Street Style list. This blue floral A.L.C. Resort 2014 would be an absolutely amazing pick for Miranda for when she just steps out of her New York City apartment to run some errands like grocery shopping and taking her adorable son Flynn out on a play date. Not one to usually forgo a pair of stilettos I would actually have Miranda wear a pair of black sandals and carry a blue 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Pashli' tote and a pair of oversized sunglasses would complete this amazing look.

In the Resort 2014 collections Marchesa released a contemporary diffusion line named Marchesa Voyage which is designed with the same woman in mind that purchases the luxe evening wear from the main label as well as the Notte by Marchesa (the lower priced evening wear line) at a much more affordable cost to them. Having worn a stunning Marchesa dress at the 2011 Met Gala as a guest of the brand I would say that she is one of the women that they had in mind as a client for this collection especially after seeing this amazing Marchesa Voyage Resort 2014 zipper embellished dress. I could see Miranda wear with a white blazer a pair of white pointy toe Manolo Blahnik pumps and a blue and black Jason Wu 'Jourdan' satchel making the perfect look for running around the city from meeting to meeting as she runs her empire.

In an appearance on 'Good Morning America' earlier this year Miranda Kerr donned a stunning Mary Katrantzou printed pencil dress and looked absolutely perfect for her interview. For that dress Miranda actually did not pick the original runway look as it was extremely covered up and over the top but waited for the commercial version of the dress to come out. This is the very first Resort collection from Mary Katrantzou which shows her much more commercial side. This look presented on her normal Fall or Spring runway would have most likely been completely embellished but this look is just printed silk and would look amazing on Miranda as she runs around New York City promoting herself and Victoria's Secret. In fact I would actually add the same orange Alexander McQueen 'Heroine' handbag and blue pumps that she is pictured wearing in the picture on the left to complete a perfect look for promoting herself.

Last but not least we have another favorite look from all the Resort 2014 collections, this one courtosey of Peter Pilotto. Why is this one of my favorites? Well I love the mix of structure, draping, and color blocking as well as the designers rare departure from mixed media prints. This is another great look for Miranda to wear as she runs around the city from business meeting to business meeting. This is a very professional look which Miranda pulls off like anything else that she wears. A pair of white pointy toe Manolo Blahnik pumps and a blue Prada 'Pyramid Accordion'  frame bag would be the perfect finishing touches to this amazing look.

Dita von Teese to wear the Resort 2014 Collections Wish List

Dita von Teese the Queen of Fetish and Burlesque dancing made a welcome red carpet return earlier this year. Dita has always been one of my favorite ladies to see grace the red carpets and is one of the few people who can pull off the complete pin-up ensemble. So this year instead of just doing a single '10 Best of the Resort 2014 Collections' post I am going to show four looks for a celebrity that makes a lot of red carpet appearances but does not get featured on here often. Up first we have the Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 collection with this amazing black gown with sheer sleeves with white beading. Dita would rock this look for any number of gala appearances that she makes.

When I saw this powder blue Marchesa Resort 2014 Grecian draped dress I thought of how light and airy it would look on Dita who normally wears very structured ensembles and this ethereal gown would be a welcome variation to her normal ensembles. The usual Marchesa Resort 2014 collection is just as large as any other runway collection but this year a modest 14 look garden inspired collection was presented and this powder blue gown will most likely be the most fought over look from the collection as it is a classic Marchesa style. Dita should finish this look with a silver Judith Leiber clutch, a pair of silver Christian Louboutin sandals, as well as sapphire and diamond jewelry and Dita will have the perfect look for a red carpet event.

Up next I have a stunning Mary Katrantzou Resort 2014 strapless cocktail dress. The funky London based designer released her very first Resort collection this year and there are definitely some major red carpet moments held within. This amazing window pane rose full skirted cocktail dress with this amazing dress has to be one of my favorite out of all the Resort collections as it is awesomely amazing and so stunning. This dress is very 50's in style and the print only adds to the amazingness of the ensemble. On Dita that this cocktail dress would just come to life with a pair of red Christian Louboutin pumps.

And last but not least is a stunning Zac Posen Resort 2014 floral patterned cocktail dress. This dress is totally 40's/50's influenced by the way of the 1980's. I think that this dress is actually very similar to the black velvet Ulyana Sergeenko Couture dress that Dita wore to the 2013 amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala during the Cannes Film Festival. I think that this dress would totally surpass the Ulyana dress solely based on the fact that it is not a standard black dress. Complete this ensemble for Dita with a pair of amazing crystal encrusted Christian Louboutin pumps and some amazing Chopard diamond jewelry and this will make international red carpet best dressed lists.

Dita Von Teese Red Carpet Wish List

On the rare occasion that she steps onto the red carpet I usually fall in love with what Dita Von Teese is wearing. When stepping out to do promotions she usually wears the best cocktail looks. Here I have three looks that I would love to see her wear. First we have a stunning blue Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 RTW dress. I think that this 40's-esque dress is something that Dita would thrive in with her classic pin-up girl style. Next we have a Christian Dior Fall 2013 RTW tiered dress with amazing sequined details. Finish this list with a stunning red beaded cocktail dress from one of Dita's favorite designers Jenny Packham from her Fall 2013 RTW collection. This would be a perfect dress for when Dita is out promoting the liquor brand that she is the face of, Cointreau.

An even rarer but usually extremely stunning moments is when we get to see Dita wear a stunning gown on the red carpet. The first one that I would love to see her wear is this blue and white thistle print Carolina Herrera Fall 2013 RTW gown. This Carolina Herrera collection had many possible red carpet moments that are bound to happen and is something that Dita would look stunning in almost any of the looks from it. Next we have a midnight and powder blue Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture new look inspired ensemble. I love this dress but off course I would make sure that this dress hits the floor because Dita is extremely short and I want her to look fabulous. The final gown would be this stunning black gown with gold embroidery from the Marchesa Fall 2013 RTW collection. This is my absolute favorite wish out of all of these wishes and I am hoping to see her wear it during the Met Ball or well honestly anytime because I think that she would look fantastic in this gown.

Giorgio Armani 'One Night Only in Beijing' Event

 Back at the end of May, Giorgio Armani took the Chinese fashion market by storm by hosting a HUGE fashion event where he showcased the Fall 2012 RTW collections from his labels Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani as well as his Spring 2012 Armani Prive Couture collection. While there was nothing new that was shown in the collections from Emporio and Giorgio, Mr. Armani showed brand new couture ensembles alongside creations that walked the Prive runway back in January at his Paris fashion show. When I first saw the images of the new Spring 2012 Couture collection gowns I was dumbfounded as these gowns are what I would have actually liked to have seen walk the runway. These are the gowns that get hidden in the backroom of the Armani Atelier and saved away for celebrates to wear to for Awards Shows and Film Festivals. Bellow are just a few of my new favorites from what was added to the collection in Beijing.

 This is the first look that I fell in love with. When I first saw this gown I knew that I have to see this on the red carpet. I thought of Amanda Seyfried wearing this gown to the Tony Awards which just past on Sunday night. I wish that she had chosen this gown over the Givenchy Fall 2012 RTW collection that she actually ended up choosing. I think that this would look amazing on her.

 Fan Bingbing was one of the Asian celebs that attended the Armani 'One Night Only in Beijing' event on May 31st and I am hoping that she immediately went backstage to see Mr Armani and requested this amazing green chiffon ballgown. I think that this is a classically beautiful silhouette that Fan tends to love mixed with an edge that is brought about through the color.

 As soon as I saw this gown Jessica Alba came to mind and I am just sending prayers to the gods of fashion that her stylist, Brad Goreski, will pull this gown for one of the red carpet events that Jessica attends. I think that this gown with a white strapless top that goes into a beaded drop waist with a green skirt with a black sheer overlay is something that Jess would totally die over and would rock for any formal appearance.

 Milla Jovovich looks amazing when she hits the red carpet be it in something edgy or something classic old hollywood. This Armani Prive gown is definitely something edgy and I think that she would look absolutely stunning in it as she is one of the few celebrities who has the right attitude to pull this gown off.

Zoe Saldana has a promo tour coming up for the 'The Words' which I am hoping will debut during the Fall 2012 Film Festival season. I am praying for this so that Zoe can wear this stunning gown with a voluminous skirt for a premiere.

Jessica Beil Premiere Wish List

Jessica Biel is not one of my favorites on the red carpet, just for the fact I feel like she doesn't put enough effort into how she looks; she picks stunning amazing clothing, but when she accessorizes them and then styles her hair and make-up, there is always at least one element that doesn't work. First thing I am going to ask Jessica to do is to cut and dye her hair. I think she needs to have shorter hair maybe in the very hot 'Lob' (Long Bob) hair style and with a caramel light brown hair color, I feel that her dark locks always end up looking greasy and untamed.

Now on to the clothes! First look I have for Jessica is this black and white completely embellished Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 Couture dress. I absolutely love this dress as this was always one of my favorites from the collection. Jess should just pair with a pair of black strappy Christian Louboutin sandals and a white and black diamond cocktail ring, a light smokey eye and simple sheer lips would be perfect for this look. Next is a Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 blue and black jacquard print embellished strapless cocktail dress, I think that this is perfect for a photocall or premiere. All I will add with this look are a pair of black strappy sandals and a blue embellished clutch would complete this look. And finally, I have this purple and red swag fringed scoop neck Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2012 RTW cocktail dress. I think that Jessica would look great in this dress (even though I have always wanted Zoe Saldana to wear it) but I feel she would kill it with her accessories. I would just pair it with simple red sandals as anything more closed would be too heavy for this dress,

Camilla Belle Wish List

Camilla Belle is a red carpet diva, who literally will just show up at an event to wear borrowed designer duds, and look freaking fantastic. So I have come up with a few wishes for her to wear.

Camilla looks amazing in Armani Prive and I think that this sculptural corset dress with a hip detail and velvet skirt. I love this gown and think that Camilla would rock it till no tomorrow. You may recognize the second dress, as I have just wished for Kate Beckinsale to wear this dress; I think that Camilla and Kate would rock this dress in two different ways but would still look amazing in it. Now, Camilla may attend the Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture in Paris on January 23rd, and I would love for her to wear this bubblegum pink dress with some gold sandals. The last one in this section is this amazing Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 RTW dress that she should wear to the Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture show on January 24th.

Catherine Middleton Wish List

I just have a few wishes for the woman, who has won the hearts of millions, and has lived the ultimate fairy tale by marrying a prince thus making herself a princess.

1) This wish is for more public appearances and events. This cranberry Antonio Berardi Spring 2012 RTW dress with 3/4 length sleeves. She will most likely pair this with a pair of LK Bennett nude pumps and a Phillip Tracy fascenator.

2) I love when the Duchess of Cambridge wears Erdem; it is her real mix of princess style and high fashion. This blue, white, and yellow full skirted dress from Erdem's Spring 2012 RTW collection would be perfect for a garden party paired with a white jacket, yellow pumps, and a wide brimmed hat.

3) Catherine is the person that really made Issa famous by wearing a blue dress by the designer to announce her engagement to Prince William, and I hope to see her in the brand again. I think that this pink jersey draped gown would look stunning on the Princess. She should pair it with a pink clutch, silver shoes, and some amazing diamonds that everyone knows she now has access to.

4) And last, but not least, we have this stunning gown by Catherine's go to red carpet designer, Jenny Packham, from her Spring 2012 collection. I love this yellow and white ball gown and think it is perfect for the princess. A yellow clutch, gold shoes, and a tiara would complete this princess look.

Michelle Obama Wish List

Michelle Obama is the most fashionable First Lady to hit the political scene in years. The First Lady always steps out in the most fabulous of almost all American designers, and has a love for Alexander McQueen, which I will not condone. All the looks presented below are all American designers, some of which she has worn in the past, and some of whom I wish she would wear.

In doing my research, I found the Michelle Obama has not worn Angel Sanchez to a documented public function, and I think that needs to change. I have chosen, as my wish for her, to wear this stunning purple strapless structured dress from his Spring 2012 RTW collection. Then, there is this teal and purple Badgley Mischka spring 2012 dress, which would be perfect for an appearance on the campaign trail. For a grand state affair, I wish that Michelle would don this black and red Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 ball gown; now I know that she loves Jason, as she has worn his designs on several occasions including the Inaugural balls in 2008. And finally in this section, I have this gold L'Wren Scott Spring 2012 RTW gown. Now if you want to talk about perfection, then she should wear this for her next state dinner because I think that the First Lady would look stunning in this color and the amazing body conscious design would be amazing on her figure.

More gowns for the First Lady to choose from, here we come. First, we have this stunning black and white Monique Lhuillier crisscross halter gown, then this amazing stone grey beaded draped Naeem Khan dress, which is the most likely of my wishes to come true as she wears Naeem for most of her formal events. Then there is this amazing white Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 RTW gown with a halter neck and draped sleeves that would look stunning on the First Lady with a bejeweled belt. Last, but not leas,t we have a wish for this amazing sporty style Victoria Beckham Spring 2012 RTW gown. I think that this black gown with a white halter would look stunning on the Michelle.
