2016 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish Lists Part 8

Continuing on with my week of Oscar parties wishes today kicking off with Dita Von Teese. I am always interested to see what the stunning burlesque queen will wear on the red carpet. I am hoping that Dita will make an appearance at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party wearing this amazing black Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture cocktail dress. This cocktail dress would make for an amazing red carpet moment on Dita with her stunning vintage beauty. I can picture Dita working the red carpet with her vintage inspired curls, signature red lip, the runways black fur pom-pom Christian Louboutin pumps, and a pair of diamond cluster earrings would ensure that this is an amazing r ed carpet moment for Dita.

I am really hoping that Gwen Stefani is going to make an appearance on Oscar night. Years ago Gwen made it through many red carpet moments on Oscar night wearing some of the best designers like Chanel Couture and Vera Wang. For this year's Vanity Fair Oscar Party I would love to see Gwen wearing this amazing fuchsia ombre Marchesa Spring 2016 RTW gown features a bird and botanical threadwork embroidered bodice with a tea length satin faced organza tiered skirt. When Gwen goes avant garde glamour on the red carpet I always fall head over heels in love with her look. I would finish this look off with a pair of black peep toe pumps, a black clutch, chic updo, red lip, and diamond cluster earrings to ensure that Gwen has an amazing red carpet moment.

I am betting that Oscar night is going to be a big night for Lady Gaga. Gaga is nominated for Best Original Song and I am really hoping that she takes the prize home. After the big ceremony, where she will also perform that nominated song, I would love to see Gaga change into this amazing Stephane Rolland Spring 2016 Couture jumpsuit which features an amazing crystal neckline and a dramatic train. This type of look takes a certain personality to pull off and Gaga definitely has the presence to make this look work on the red carpet. I would finish this look off for Gaga with a pair of diamond cluster earrings, silver crystal Christian Louboutin 'Daffodile' platform pumps, old Hollywood waves, red lip, and a lined eye to just top off what I am hoping will be another perfect red carpet moment for Gaga on Oscar night.

Naomie Harris has been on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party the past two years and I am hoping that she will be back on the Hollywood red carpet next Sunday night. I would love to see Naomi wearing this amazing Balmain Pre-Fall 2016 navy velvet gown with lace cut-out details. This look is a perfect red carpet moment waiting to happen. Like I said in a recent post, this Balmain collection has been my favorite from the brand in a very long time and I bet that we will see at least one look from the collection on the red carpet on Oscar night. Style this look with a navy Edie Parker clutch, navy peep toe pumps, old Hollywood waves, and a red lip would ensure that Naomie slays the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

While she might be over in Europe on the fashion show circuit but I would love to see Olivia Palermo out in full force on the Vanity Fair Oscar Party red carpet. The fashionista knows how to work some amazing avant garde lady like looks on the red carpet. I would love to see Olivia wearing this yellow Sachin + Babi Pre-Fall 2016 high low bow accented floral embroidered gown on this red carpet. As the queen of red carpet accessorizing and I could picture Olivia pairing this gown with a yellow feathered clutch & gold sandals to just take this look over the top for an Oscar night red carpet.

Best Dressed of August 2015

August was a real slow month for red carpets. Most months I have 50+ contenders for the 10 spots on the monthly Best Dressed list. This month I only had 30 women but they were still all worthy contenders. Sarah Jessica Parker worked the red carpet at the opening night of the Broadway show "Hamilton" in a stunning emerald green Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture spaghetti strap ball gown. I have been waiting to see a drop dead beautiful red carpet gown from SJP on the red carpet and this defiantly did me disappoint. SJP styled this gown very simply with flowing waves and emerald green eye shadow. I definitely applaud this look and it will be one that I remember when it comes to the Best Dressed of the Year list. 2013 End of the Year Style Awards: Best Street Style

Olivia Palermo to wear the Resort 2014 Collections

Olivia Palermo has been giving Miranda Kerr a run for her model money in the street style department lately stepping out in several absolutely fabulous ensembles while traveling and out and about in NYC. I think some of the Resort 2014 collections would help add a boost to her street style and help boost her to the Best Street Style Award win. First we have this green and brown printed Carven Resort 2014 shirt dress. I think that this is something that Olivia would look absolutely stunning wearing as she runs around New York from designer showroom to designer showroom. I could see Olivia pairing this dress with her Valentino 'Rockstud' python dome bag and a pair of Zara multi-strap camel sandals to complete this business ready fashion forward look.

I thought that this Emilio Pucci Resort 2014 ensemble which consists of a coral blouse and a pair of baby pink pants would also be a great choice for Olivia as it is a little more casual and easy to do a large amount of running as she goes from the office, to lunch, to a photo shoot. I think that this look will most likely be scooped up for a photocall during the Venice, Toronto, or Rome Film Festivals but Olivia would look just as good as any Hollywood actress wearing this. Where Olivia would have the upper hand is in her top notch styling which I could see including her raspberry Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton handbag and a pair of Sergio Rossi 'Oberoj' multi colored and patterned sandals to complete this amazing ensemble for Olivia.

In April, Olivia Palermo attended a Louis Vuitton boutique opening in Munich, Germany as well as being a regular at the Louis Vuitton runway shows. These events have brought me to choose this flirty BOHO Louis Vuitton Resort 2014 yellow dress as my final wish for the sartorial diva. Olivia can either be very Upper West Side chic or Flirty with more of a European BOHO inspired look which is were my inspiration for this ensemble comes from.  A Chloe 'Marcie' light brown leather bag and Lanvin satin crisscross sandals would be the perfect look for a casual day off of sightseeing and lunches around the city.

Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 Couture Presentation Wish List

Hilary Swank attended amFAR's Life Ball last month wearing an amazing animal print Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture cocktail dress for the red carpet. I loved this look and would love to see Mrs Swank attend the designers Fall 2013 Couture collection presentation on July 1st to see what she might be able to grab off his runway next. To do so I would love to see her grab up the red draped Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2013 dress all the way to the right. I think that this is a classic look that would be perfect for a celebrity for the front row of the show. Finish off with a pair of gold pumps by the designer and Hilary has a great look going for her.

Jessica Biel is Giambattista Valli's biggest Hollywood fan and friend. For her wedding late last year to pop star Justin Timberlake, Jessica and her entire wedding party wore custom Giambattista Valli designs. If she were to attend the designers Fall 2013 Couture runway show then I would love to see her wear this very lady like mint green with what looks to be pale pink crystal embroidery. It is not very often we see Jess go for a very classic lady like dress but I think that this would look stunning on her. Add a pair of silver peep toe pumps and Jessica will have the perfect front row ensemble.

Olivia Palermo has attended the Giambattista Valli couture show since the very first one in Fall of 2011. She usually wears high street brands like Zara or Topshop but I think that this snow leopard print Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2013 dress is very much in tune with Olivia's sense of style. Of course I would expect her to pair this dress with a white blazer by one of her high street brands, a feather clutch, and a great pair of sandals.

The final star that I would love to see front row at the Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 Couture presentation is Zhang Ziyi. As a member of the Un Certain Regard jury during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival last month Zhang Ziyi wore two looks by Giambattista one for the Jury Photocall and one for the amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. With 2 films premiering towards the end of this year and a stint on the Chinese version of the 'X Factor' coming up I am sure that we will see Zhang scoping out looks during some fashion shows soon. For this show I would love to see Zhang wear this amazing sunflower yellow Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture cocktail dress. I am still a little surprised that this dress hasn't been snapped up for a red carpet appearance yet. The only finishing touch that this dress need is a pair of gold ankle strap pumps and Zhang will shine like a ray of sunshine.

Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture Presentation Wish List

Monday July 1st will mark the 1 year anniversary for Raf Simons at Christian Dior and I am expecting a front row at the Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture presentation to be jam packed with glamorous editors, spokesmodels, and celebrities. One spokesmodel that I am sure we will see is Jennifer Lawrence. JLaw as she has become to be known will without a doubt be sitting front row scoping out possible ensembles for her to wear for the 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' promo tour that will start later this year. For the front row I would love to see Jennifer wear this floral bustier and black pant ensemble from the Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture collection. I have been in love with this look since it took to the runway back in January. Finish the look with a messy bun, natural faced makeup, and a pair of black pumps and Jennifer will have the perfect front row ensemble.

Marion Cotillard is the undisputed queen of Dior and has already snatched up a custom dress and the first off the runway look from the Christian Dior Cruise 2014 collection. I am wishing that the French beauty will wear this amazing green Christian Dior Cruise 2014 dress that makes me think about the classic silhouettes of the 1950s. The color on Marion would look divine. Complete this retro inspired look with a faux wavy bob, a pair of white pumps, and a white Christian Dior 'Lady Dior' bag and Marion will ensure some classic Hollywood glam for the French houses big show.

Having recently donned several Christian Dior ensembles within a month I am taking a bet that Nicole Kidman will be one of the next faces of Christian Dior. I have to say that this is a match made in heaven as Nicole is the epitome of old Hollywood glamour and knows how to carry off some incredibly difficult designs. Recently Mrs Kidman has been showing off almost a Rockabilly sense of style which is why is picked this white black and pink Christian Dior Cruise 2014 coat dress. I think that this dress on Nicole would look fantastic as she has the air of sophistication to pull it off. Complete with a pair of bold pink Jimmy Choo pumps and a white Christian Dior clutch and a sleek pony tail and Nicole will have a winning look on her hand yet again.

One person I usually really look forward to seeing during fashion weeks is socialite and editor Olivia Palermo. I love that she has a sense of style that is not dictated by trends but she knows how to infuse the trends of the moment into her personal style. For the Christian Dior Fall 2013 presentation I would love to see Mrs Palermo wear this black and white color blocked Christian Dior Fall 2013 RTW dress with a houndstooth print breast plate with a bold pink or red blazer (her usual signature.) Finish the look with a pair of amazing sandals (Olivia has a shoe closet to DIE for) and a simple black Christian Dior clutch and she will continue to showcase her great street style.

Paris Spring 2013 Couture Fashion Week Wish List

Cate Blanchett made her red carpet comeback at the end of 2012 as the head jury member of the Dubai International Film Festival and I am hoping to see much more of her this year and as a huge fan of Armani Prive it would not surprise me to see the stunning actress sitting front row next week. I would put Cate in the lavender version of this Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture dress. Cate wore the almost same color blue for the 'Life of Pi' premiere at the Dubai Film Festival so I think the lavender would be a perfect choice. She would pair the look with the runway pumps that are the perfect match to the stunning dress to complete a best dressed front row look.

Jessica Chastain has the power to win an Oscar this year and I am sure that she will be in Paris attending all the fashion shows of her favorite red carpet brands. Last year on the day that she was nominated for her Oscar for 'The Help' she attended the Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture show and Mr Armani personally congratulated the stunning actress and handed her a bouquet of roses. She did not go on to wear a look for the Oscars but did choose a suit from the collection for the Independent Spirit Awards. Well I have decided to put the actress in a green look from the same Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture collection for the Spring 2013 Couture presentation. I love a redhead in green as I think it is a stunning combination whenever it is done.

Dita von Teese is a huge fan of Elie Saab but as of late we have been void of any collaborations between the two and this makes me very sad. I would love to see the 1940's pinup beauty wear this stone colored Elie Saab Spring 2013 RTW suit for the Spring 2013 Couture presentation. I think that this would be a winning combination. Put a gold beaded belt and some gold Christian Louboutins to finish off this stunning look.

Jessica has been another huge fan of Elie Saab's red carpet work and has already worn two dresses from the designers Spring 2013 RTW collection whilst promoting the film that she is nominated for an Oscar for, 'Zero Dark Thirty.' I think that this pale pink Elie Saab Spring 2013 RTW gown would be perfect for the star to wear while sitting front row at the show to scope out possible Oscar gowns.

Diane Kruger is always front row at Chanel shows especially the couture shows. I would love to see the stunning German actress wear this black and white tweed coat from the Chanel Fall 2012 Couture show for the Spring 2013 Couture presentation. I love this coat and there are not many platforms where a celebrity would be able to wear this but entering the Grand Palais on a cold Paris morning this would be perfect.

Olivia Palermo is another one who is always on hand during fashion week and always makes her most fashionable arrival at the Valentino Couture show. I would like to see her wear this Valentino Fall 2012 Couture black and gold beaded cocktail dress that we recently saw on Jennifer Lawrence at the Peoples Choice Awards. I do not really believe in re-runs but seeing that Olivia would personally have to own this dress to wear it as she is just a fashion editor and not a Hollywood actress I would only find it fitting for her to wear this for the show.

Giambattista Valli designed all the gowns for Jessica Biel's wedding to Justin Timberlake last year. The two have been friends for a long time and it would not surprise me to see her at the designers show in Paris next week. I would love to see her wear this cream and gold Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 RTW dress paired with a cream coat to keep her warm in the chilly Paris streets.
