 We haven't seen much of Leighton Meester since her hit show 'Gossip Girl' ended in December but I am hopeful that she will make a red carpet return at this years CFDA Awards. Leighton is the face of Vera Wang's 'Lovestruck' fragrance and this year the glam designer will be receiving the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award so it surprise me if Leighton isn't their to support Vera. I would love to see Leighton take to the red carpet wearing this black and white jacquard print cocktail dress from the Vera Wang Fall 2013 RTW collection. Leighton is usually known for amazing interesting taste in footwear so I am expecting some amazing Jimmy Choo or Brian Atwood dazzler and some amazing Harry Winston sparklers to complete this amazing red carpet ensemble.

 I have a hate/love relationship with Rita Ora on the red carpet sometimes she looks absolutely fantastic and others its a complete disaster doesn't seem like there is any middle ground. As Rita knows Alexander Wang well it would not surprise me if Rita attends as his guest as she knows how to do downtown glam and could pull off with great aplomb the dressy dressed down looks from Alexander Wang. For the CFDA Awards I would love to see Rita wear this white halter top and pants from the Alexander Wang Fall 2013 RTW collection. Complete this ensemble with her signature red lip and a pair of silver sandals and Rita will be a great ambassador for the Women's Wear Designer of the Year nominee on the red carpet.

And Finally to round out the 2013 CFDA Awards wish lists we have Stacy Keibler. Since she stepped out on the red carpet scene on the arm of George Clooney in the Fall of 2011 Stacy has been showing all of Hollywood that she is one to watch on the red carpet appearing in amazing gowns from the likes of Naeem Khan, Marchesa, and Armani Prive. But for this years CFDA Awards I would love to see Stacy support Accessories Designer of the Year nominee Phillip Lim by wearing this midnight blue 3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2013 RTW velvet double breasted suit. I would want Stacy to ooze sex appeal wearing this menswear inspired ensemble so I would recommend that she go topless under the blazer highlighting her decolletage with a diamond and sapphire statement necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels, a pair of Casadei black patent leather t-strap 'Blade' pumps, and a cocktail ring would complete this absolutely amazing androgynous ensemble.

When Emilia Clarke burst onto the red carpet scene after gaining fame from her hit HBO series 'Game of Thrones' she almost exclusively wore Chanel for all of her major red carpet appearances, and while the two were a match made in fashion heaven I am glad that she has been embracing other brands for her red carpet outings so far this year. One designer that she has been wearing a lot of has been Zac Posen and I think that Emilia should wear this wine colored Zac Posen Fall 2013 RTW gown with a matching cape. This gown is perfect because Zac is not nominated but would be in attendance just a a member and supporter of his fellow American designers. Complete this look with a gold box clutch, gold sandals, a gold cuff, and a sleek updo and Emilia will add much needed drama to the CFDA Awards red carpet on June 3, 2013.

Model Hilary Rhoda has been hot on the New York City red carpet scene attending several major red carpet galas, parties, and premieres this year looking best dressed worthy on almost all of her red carpet appearances. This amazing 20's/30's inspired Tory Burch Fall 2013 RTW gown would look absolutely amazing on the model who knows how to work the red carpet. Tory like Zac Posen is not nominated but a fixture at the CFDA Awards as she has been an honoree in the past and I am expected to see her designs take to the red carpet. A sleek silver Judith Leiber clutch, black sandals, and her hair worn up in a faux bob would make this ensemble perfect for the CFDA Awards.

Julianne Hough is someone who I either love or loathe when she steps out on the red carpet as her red carpet aesthetic is extremely bi-polar. I am wishing that she takes to the red carpet at Lincoln Center wearing a gown from CFDA member Naeem Khan's Fall 2013 RTW cream gown with an embellished gunmetal waistband. I am incredibly surprised that Naeem has never been honored by the CFDA with his stunning designs that end up on the likes of international socialites, First Ladies, actresses, models, and singers. Complete this look for Julianne with a pair of cream pumps, a gunmetal clutch, and a sleek up do would complete this amazing red carpet ensemble.

And finally for today we have Kerry Washington to wear an amazing white with floral embroidery Marchesa Fall 2013 RTW cocktail dress with sheer voluminous sleeves. Like everyone else in this post Georgina Chapman and Karen Craig, the chief designers at Marchesa, are not nominated and much like Naeem Khan the ladies have never been honored despite there huge following of their stunning evening wear. Kerry has not been my favorite on the red carpet this year like she has been in the past but I am hoping that the 'Scandal' star will wow me on the red carpet at this years CFDA Awards in this dress. Complete the look with a red Marchesa clutch, gold Christian Louboutin sandals, and her hair worn up in a top knot and Kerry will have a winning look on her hands.

2013 CFDA Awards Wish List Part 1

 The Council of Fashion Designers of America, or the CFDA as it is known, gathers at Lincoln Center every June to celebrate designers in American fashion. This year the ceremony will take place at the home of New York Fashion week on June 3, 2013. Now all of the ladies that are going to be features over the next few days in this list are not confirmed to attend and will not be until I see them walking the red carpet at the event. I have chosen each lady based on past relationships with CFDA members and nominated designers. Allison Williams has stepped out wearing Oscar de la Renta several time in the past year since she has made her mark on the fashion world. Oscar will be receiving The Founders Award in Honor of Eleanor Lambert and Allison would be the perfect date for the classic designer. This lime green gown with grape purple embroidery from the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 collection would be the best option for Allison as it is her classic sophisticated style to the T. Pair this gown with just a pair of simple gold sandals, a gold bracelet, and a classic up do and Allison will make her mark on the CFDA red carpet.

 Anna Wintour is the only woman that is 100% attending the 2013 CFDA Awards as the Council is partnered with Vogue to help launch the careers of promising young New York based designers like Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung, and Jason Wu. For this event Anna usually wears a business like knee length sheath dress made my an American designer like Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, or Marc Jacobs so many of you might be puzzled as to why I have chosen to put her in this black and grey Balenciaga Fall 2013 RTW dress which is a French fashion house. Well in January the house announced that its new creative director is former CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award winner and multi time CFDA Award winner Alexander Wang. So I would not be surprised if the famous Vogue Editor in Chief wore a design by him. What would surprise me is if she doesnt wear her standard nude Manolo Blahnik 'AW' sandals and her beaded necklaces.

 Cat Deeley has selected a Monique Lhuillier gown for several of her major red carpet appearances in the past year. Cat wore gowns by the designer for the Emmy Awards and the Costume Designers Guild Awards among many others. If she were to attends as the guest of the designer who would just be attending as a member of the CFDA if she chose to attend I would love to see Cat wear this amazing white patterned Monique Lhuillier Fall 2013 RTW gown. She is one of the few ladies that I have been able to picture wearing this gown on the red carpet and I know she would have no trouble pulling of the glam that this look requires. Complete this look with a gold metallic clutch, gold sandals, and her hair pulled back would create a winning look for this red carpet.

 While I am usually a fan of Christina Ricci on the red carpet lately she has been underwhelming me so I am hoping that she redeems herself on the red carpet of the CFDA Awards if she was to attend this year. I would love to see her wear CFDA member and Women's Wear Designer of the Year nominee Marc Jacobs silver sequin gown from the Fall 2013 RTW collection. I was surprised that not more of this collection was worn for the Met Ball this year but Christina would look fantastic in this liquid sliver gown. Complete the look with a black Edie Parker clutch and some black peep toe pumps and Christina will dazzle and sparkle on the red carpet at the 2013 CFDA Awards

It would not surprise me if Claire Danes attends the 2013 CFDA Awards with designer and friend Ricardo Tisci the creative director at Givenchy who will be receiving the International Award. This is the one chance, besides possibly Anna Wintour, that we have a shot at seeing a non-American based brand on the red carpet. I decided to dig into the Givenchy archives to pick this amazing gold Givenchy Spring 2008 Couture completely embellished cocktail dress. I have been in love with this dress since the first time I saw it on the runway and I am surprised that this didn't get picked up for an Awards Show, Met Ball, or Film Festival in the past but you know what they say you snooze you loose. I would pair this dress with a pair of gold Jimmy Choo 'Lance' sandals and a loose up do would complete this absolutely stunning ensemble.
