2016 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 9

Ciara has been out on every major awards show red carpet over the past year and is expected to be out on Oscar night at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party gala as she is one of the events many celebrity co-chairs. While almost every single red carpet look that Ciara has worn on the red carpets recently has been Alexandre Vauthier I would most love to see Ciara wearing this green Akris Pre-Fall 2016 sequined gown with her favored sexy high thigh split as well as a bodice splice. This is a perfect look for a music star out on the red carpet on Oscar night as it mixes that edge you get from music and the glamour of a film red carpet. A pair of simple black sandals, hair styled in a sleek low ponytail (like the lookbook), a pair of diamond cluster earrings, and red lip would ensure that this is a major look for Ciara on the Elton John red carpet.
Last years Oscar winner Julianne Moore is presenting at the ceremony and I am sure that we will have an amazing moment on the main stage red carpet but I am also hoping that she changes for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party after the show. Julianne has always been one of my favorite red carpet ladies and I am truly hoping that she gives me two looks on Oscar night. For the Vanity Fair party I picked this amazing black Versace Pre-Fall 2016 grommet embellished gown which features long sheer sleeves. This is a type of look that I would expect to see on the back of someone who went big on the main red carpet and want to slip into something a little more comfortable to party in for the Vanity Fair party. A black clutch, black pumps, a pair of statement stone earrings, and a red lip would finish this perfect after-party look for Julianne.
Naomi Campbell is another that is on the long list of co-chairs for the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and I am sure that the supermodel will be out on the red carpet. For big red carpet outings Naomi has a small arsenal of designer friends like Donatella Versace, Azzendine Alaia, and Riccardo Tisci to whom she looks to dress her. I am going with Riccardo Tisci and this beige Givenchy Spring 2016 Couture draped gown which featured crocodile tin on the stomach cutout. I am not usually a fan of Naomi on the red carpet. There is almost always something that I find I have a problem with, usually her hair. I would recommend to Naomi that she wear the sleeves of this gown up on her shoulders instead of off the shoulder, add old Hollywood waves pushed over one shoulder, add a red lip and some gold sandals to ensure that this is a beautiful red carpet moment for Naomi for the Elton John party (and who knows maybe for Vanity Fair as well.)
Nina Dobrev is always a fixture at awards show parties and next Sunday night I would put my money on her attending the Elton John party. Nina has been on the Elton John red carpet almost every year since she burst on to the red carpet scene. I would love to see the former Vampire Diaries star to show up for Elton wearing this white J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2016 black & white corded halter gown. This is a very Nina gown. She loves a classic yet dramatic look, and if this gown is not on the main stage I would love to see Nina wearing it for Elton John. Such a glam look needs very classic styling with a black Rauwolf clutch, black Christian Louboutin sandals, a red lip, and diamond drop earrings to ensure that Nina has a Hollywood moment on Hollywood's biggest night.
I certainty am expecting to see Rita Ora out on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party as I don't think Rita has ever met a red carpet that she hasn't liked. I would love to see Rita bring some DRAMA to the Vanity Fair party red carpet wearing this black and white Giambattista Valli Spring 2016 Couture tea length ball gown. This is a majorly dramatic moment and I think that Rita would be one of the best choices to give this gown to to have the total impact that I can picture it having on a red carpet. The styling would have to be on point to ensure that this doesn't go into costume territory. A pair of black sandals, a sleek updo, red lip, and diamond cluster earrings would make this look an amazing red carpet moment for Rita on Oscar night.

2016 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

Ladies and gentlemen strap yourselves in and prepare for the onslaught of two Oscar party wish lists a day for the next week. I am combining my wishes for the two biggest parties on Oscar night the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party and the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Kicking off my wishes is Academy Award nominee, and probable winner, Alicia Vikander. I am betting that she will wear a custom Louis Vuitton gown for the red carpet but I am also betting that she will change for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party after the ceremony. I picked this vintage floral print Alexander McQueen Spring 2016 one shoulder chiffon gown for Alicia because I can picture her wearing this gown as a relaxed look after the big red carpet. This look would be perfectly accessorized with a pair of gold sandals, red lip, Louis Vuitton fine jewelry drop earrings, & an Oscar statuette for the
Vanity Fair red carpet.
We will be seeing Allison Williams on the red carpet on Oscar night at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party where is is one of the event's many celebrity co-chairs. Allison is one of the lovely ladies of television that I adore seeing on the red carpet and I think that she will shut the red carpet down. I am almost expecting to see her in something custom from Lanvin, Oscar de la Renta, or Altuzarra but I would fall over if she were to wear this amazing Elie Saab Spring 2015 Couture sleeveless hand painted floral print ballgown. I have been wanting to see this gown on the red carpet and I think that Allison would be a vision in this gown on the Elton John party. A chic romantic updo, a pink lip, and gold pumps would finish this look off perfectly.
I usually adore seeing Amanda Seyfried on the red carpet and I am really hoping that the actress will be out on Oscar night at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. If she does I would love to see her wearing this pale pink Givenchy Spring 2016 Couture draped halter gown which features crocodile leather detailing along the side cutouts. I think that this gown is chic, modern, and elegant which is exactly what I think about when I think of Amanda's red carpet style. Keep this look chic with a pair of gold sandals, a diamond bracelet, & a sleek updo to ensure that Amanda has a winning red carpet look.
Amber Heard was a vision in custom Gucci at the Golden Globe Awards at the kick off of awards season and I am hoping to see her make the full round by attending the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Amber was part of the ensemble cast of The Danish Girl and has been making her rounds this season promoting the film as well as with her husband Johnny Depp. For Vanity Fair I would love to see Amber wearing this Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2016 draped gown with a beautiful print. I think that this is something that Amber would look absolutely stunning wearing, and it is something that I can picture her snatching this gown off the runway. A matching dark green satin clutch, a pair of gold pumps, a vintage inspired hairstyle, and a red lip will ensure that Amber had a killer moment on the red carpet.
One of the people that I am really hoping to see on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar party is Amy Adams. Amy always kills it on the red carpet and with three movies come out this year I am sure we will be seeing her on a lot of red carpets keeping up appearances. Last year Amy wore a strapless light blue Atelier Versace gown for the Vanity Fair party and I am hoping that she goes back to Versace again as she has had some of her best red carpet moments in the brand. I would love to see Amy wearing this strapless white Atelier Versace Spring 2015 Couture mermaid gown for this years Vanity Fair party as she really does work fitted classic looks really well and I think that the white gown would just look so ethereal on her, in a modern sexy way since that is the only way Versace knows how to do. Add a pop of color via a bold clutch, silver sandals, a statement diamond necklace, red lip, and old Hollywood waves to finish this look off perfectly for Amy.

#Grammys 2016: Alicia Keys, Amber Heard, Lady Gaga, & Nicole Richie Red Carpet Wish List

Alicia Keys was on hand to help announce all of this year Grammy Awards nominees and that could translate into her presenting or attending the show on Monday night. Alicia has always been one that I find interesting to see on the red carpet because she usually goes very edgy or very glam and I would be intrigued to see what she will wear on the red carpet Monday. I would love to see Alicia wearing this light pink Givenchy Spring 2016 Couture halter neck gown with side cut-outs and open back. Julianne Moore wore a similar look from this collection in chartreuse sequins for the SAG Awards so the style of gown might not appeal to someone as it could go into a "Who Wore It Better" type of situation. I think that this classic ethereal style is perfect for Alicia. I would style her hair into a large braided bun, add a pair of Bulgari earrings which feature a some pink stones, a gold clutch, and a pair of gold sandals to ensure that Alicia has a beautiful red carpet moment at the Grammy's.
Amber Heard is most likely going to be attending the Grammy Awards on Monday night as the plus one of her husband and Grammy performer Johnny Depp. You read that right. Johnny Depp will be making his Grammy Awards debut with the other members of The Hollywood Vampires, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. I am excited to see what Amber is going to wear on the red carpet at the Grammy's as she is so versatile. I picked this dark pink Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2016 Alta Moda long sleeve sequin floral pattern cocktail dress for Amber because I think that this is a chic fun look for a movie star to wear on the Grammy Awards red carpet as a guest of a performer. I would keep the look simple with chic waves, a black clutch, and a pair of black peep toe pumps to ensure that Amber dazzles on the red carpet on Monday night.
Lady Gaga has been announced to perform a tribute to the late David Bowie on the Grammy Awards telecast on Monday night and I am very excited to see what she is going to wear on the red carpet and for her performance. I have been loving Gaga's style recently and I don't think that she will let me down on Monday night. For the red carpet I would love to see Gaga wearing this Armani Spring 2016 Couture gown which features a sequin embellished tiered skirt and black lace bodice on illusion fabric to give a sexy and edgy yet vert glamorous look. Gaga has toned down her crazy antics and has made me quite love her style recently. This paired with old Hollywood waves, a pair of black pumps, Diamond drop earrings, and a red lip would make for a perfect glamorous Grammy Awards red carpet look. For her performance of a selection of David Bowie's greatest hits I would love to see Gaga wearing this hot pink Moschino Pre-Fall 2016 cartoonish suit, though it might be a little to similar to the Gucci suit that she wore to perform the National Anthem at Super Bowl 50. I think that this suit embodies the spirit of David Bowie's iconic style and would make for the perfect look for Gaga to wear to memorialize the late pop icon.
Finally I have a wish for Nicole Richie to wear a beautiful Reem Acra Spring 2016 RTW teal gown which features stunning floral embroidery as I bet she will be on the red carpet as her father Lionel Richie is going to be honored as the MusiCares person of the year and will have a tribute to his music performed during the Grammy Awards on Monday night. I think that this type of chic Indian inspired gown would look amazing on Nicole though she might not go for such a princess moment on a night where she is just attending as a guest. Finished with a gold clutch and a pair of gold sandals and I believe that this would be an absolutely beautiful red carpet moment for Nicole.

Runway Report: Givenchy Spring 2016 Couture

Riccardo Tisci showcased his Spring 2016 Couture collection for Givenchy during Paris Fashion Week: Men's keeping with tradition that started last summer. I get excited to see all the new menswear clothes that I ogle and fawn over and then add couture and I am usually lusting over the collections. While the couture collection might have only been 12 looks they were 12 amazing looks full of absolutely beautiful details. I am happy Riccardo is showing couture on the runway and I am hoping that sometime soon he will return to the couture circuit and deliver a full runway collection during haute couture fashion week. No two looks in this collection were similar and I can see a bevy of Givenchy loyalists like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Lea Seydoux, Rooney Mara, Rihanna, Amber Heard, Ciara, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Florence, Beyonce and Naomi Watts on the red carpet. I would most like to see Jessica Chastain wearing the chartreuse sequined gown with a halter neck and side cutouts, maybe for the Vanity Fair Oscars After-Party? While I am sure that most of these looks will be left to couture clientele I am hoping that a few of them make it onto a red carpet.

I have been pinning all the collections on my Pinterest page with my immediate wishes of who I would die to see wearing these stunning couture creations, so to get more of an idea of who I want to wear what from the collections I would head over there!

2016 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 3

I was really surprised that Kirsten Dunst opted for an all black velvet Valentino Couture gown for the Golden Globe Awards this past week, she looked beautiful but I was expecting something major from Rodarte. I am hoping that when Kirsten steps out for the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday that she gives me something interesting to look at. I picked this white cold shouldered Givenchy Pre-Fall 2016 embroidered gown. While Kirsten has never worn Givenchy in the past this gown is very much her type of look, classic with a bit of a twist. I love seeing Kirsten, with her peachy pink pale skin, wearing light colors and I think she would look so angelic wearing this white gown. Finished with a vintage inspired updo, a lined eye, red lip, diamond drop earrings, a silver clutch, and a pair of silver sandals and this look is ready for the Critics Choice Awards red carpet.
Krysten Ritter is one of the most underrated style stars in the red carpet world. There is very rarely a time when Krysten steps out on a red carpet and I don't love what she is wearing and I am sure that will be the case when she steps out on the red carpet Sunday night at the Critics Choice Awards. Krysten, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for the Netflix series Jessica Jones, would look amazing wearing this black Carolina Herrera Spring 2016 RTW gown which features a deep v-neck, an a-line floor length skirt, and illusion seams throughout. This gown is elegant but extremely modern which is what I think would look amazing on Krysten on this red carpet. I don't expect to see the same type of big gowns we saw on the red carpet at the Globes. Styled with a Rauwolf violet 'Castellum' gemstone clutch, a pair of black sandals, old Hollywood waves, a smokey eye, and a pair of Chopard diamond drop earrings and Krysten will hold her own against some of the most revered red carpet stars.
Mary J. Blige is not one I usually get excited about when it comes to the red carpet. I tend to feel like her style is stuck in the 90s or early 2000's. I am interested to see what she would wear on the red carpet of the Critics Choice Awards where she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series for The Wiz! Live. I decided to go with something a little more modern and edgy for Mary, since she is more of a recording artist than a TV star, by picking this white Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2016 3D mesh jumpsuit which features a one shoulder neckline with cascading ruffle trim, illusion cutout detailing, a fluid wide leg pant, and one ruffle slashed pant leg. I think that this is a perfect modern look for Mary to rock which still has a load of glamour, the wide leg pant and split mimic the idea of an evening. Finish the look with a sleek sliver metal clutch, a pair of Jimmy Choo silver 'Lance' sandals, and a pair of statement emerald and diamond drop earrings and this is a look that I can get behind for Mary.
I was one of the few who was not a fan of the Lanvin gown that Rachel McAdams wore to the Golden Globe Awards this past weekend and I am hoping for something better when she steps out for the Critics Choice Movie Awards. I picked this black Marchesa Notte Spring 2016 RTW gown which features cap sleeves, side cutouts, an open back, and gold embroidery on the stomach for Rachel who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress thanks to her role in the movie Spotlight. It has been a while since I have actually fully loved a look from Rachel and I would love to see her continue to get better and better, and I think that this gown would help her do exactly that. Finished with a Rauwolf black and gold lace "emerald-cut" clutch a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps, a wavy bob, and a red lip this would be a perfect look for Rachel on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards.
Rooney Mara was one that I was intrigued to see what she was going to wear over the course of awards season and my interest is already fizzling out. It has been bland or black since the start and I while I know that is her MO, none of these looks have made me take notice of her. I would love to see Rooney wear this peachy pink Chanel Pre-Fall 2016 embroidered tea length gown with a plunging neckline. I think that this peachy color would be just what Rooney needs to make me start taking an interest in her style again and the feather embroidery helps with that as well. This is a very visually intersting gown and I think that it would make such a beautiful moment on the Critics Choice Awards red carpet. Finish the look with a pair of simple gold sandals and pretty pink makeup and Rooney will for sure get me talking about her again.

2015 AFI Fest: "Carol" Premiere Wish List

Whilst this year Cate Blanchett has not been a disaster most of the queens red carpet looks have not been up to the incredibly high standards that she has continued to set for herself. I have not been in love with one of her looks since her black Armani Prive gown at the Cannes Film Festival. I am hoping that when she steps out for the 2015 AFI Fest premiere of "Carol" that Cate is back on form. I picked this black and white mirror embellished Marc Jacobs Resort 2016 structured "shirt" dress for her because I think that this edgy masculine meets feminine ensemble is perfect for Cate to wear for this red carpet. A sleek hairstyle, a red lip, black clutch, and a pair of black sandals will ensure that Cate is back on top form.
With Cate not being a complete favorite Rooney Mara has been consistently wowing me on the red carpet, and I am hoping that she will continue to do so at the AFI Fest premiere of "Carol." Rooney has been sticking to her black and white box but picking interesting looks so that nothing is left to be called boring. I am surprised that Rooney has not worn a single Givenchy look so far this year and I am awaiting that moment on the red carpet. I love how Rooney's romantic gothic style is perfectly punctuated by the soft romantic styles of Givenchy. I think that this white silk and lace Givenchy Spring 2016 RTW ensemble is a perfect look for Rooney to wear on this red carpet. Finish with a pair of silver sandals and Audrey Hepburn inspired beauty and Rooney will be perfectly poised to a major red carpet moment in one of her favorite designers.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" London Premiere Wish List

"The Hunger Game: Mockingjay Part 2" will premiere in London on Thursday November 5, 2015 and I am expecting a rather large celebrity turn out. The ladies, and gentlemen, of the series will surly be out in troves to mark the final London premiere for "The Hunger Games" franchise. Jennifer Lawrence, AKA Katniss Everdeen, is obviously going to present at the premiere and I gotta say I am quite intrigued as to what she will end up wearing. JLaw is a signed face of Christian Dior, but with the news this past week that Dior creative director Raf Simons is stepping down will Jennifer still have to wear Dior for EVERY red carpet? I guess this red carpet will be the tell. If she does wear Dior for this premiere I would love to see her wear this mauve Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture strapless gown. This gown mixes sporty and feminine glamour which are the looks that Jennifer ends up rocking the most on the red carpet. This look paired with diamond cluster earrings, gold sandals, a gold clutch, fresh faced makeup, and a chic updo will ensure that Jennifer has a winning moment at this major premiere for her.
Elizabeth Banks has A LOT to live up to with what she wears on the red carpet for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" premiere thanks to the Elie Saab Couture gown that she wore to the premiere of "Mockingjay Part 1" last year. The first promo tours for this franchise Elizabeth rocked orange for the red carpet and I think it would be nice to see her come full circle wearing this incredibly dramatic Marchesa Spring 2016 RTW sherbet to coral ombre gown which is rendered in textured tulle and features an ombre skirt with a feathered threadwork embroidered bird bodice. This is a bold statement, definitely something her character Effie Trinket would approve of. Elizabeth has the stature to carry this gown off, the question is will she go bold or will she let JLaw shine? Elizabeth should wear a pair of gold sandals, a pink lip, and a vintage inspired updo to ensure that she doesn't overcook this look as too many accessories or jewels will ruin this beautiful statement.
Red carpet rebel Jena Malone is one that I am looking at very closely to see what she is going to wear for the "Mockingjay Part 2" premiere. I absolutely adore Jena's edgy style and it breaks up what is usually a lot of pretty on the red carpet. I would love to see Jena brave London's cold and rock the hell out of this black sheer Schiaparelli Fall 2015 Couture gown which features a beautiful gold sunburst embellished embroidery on the bodice. This gown gives a very distinct 20's Erte art deco style and I think that Jena would look incredibly chic and sexy wearing this gown. Finish the look with old Hollywood waves, a gold clutch, a pair of black sandals, and a bold red lip to keep the vintage inspired air of this look going.
Julianne Moore has been consistently killing it this year on the red carpet and I hope that she finishes with a strong promo tour for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2." Last year for the London premiere of "Mockingjay Part 1" Julianne wore looking stunning in a simple black Balenciaga cocktail gown, I am hoping for a little more drama when she takes to the red carpet for the "Mockingjay Part 2" premiere. I would love to see Julianne Moore wearing this Givenchy Couture gown that was presented alongside the Spring 2016 RTW collection. This gown is a re-envisioning of a gown that Riccardo Tisci first presented in his Givenchy Spring 2011 Couture collection and it has only gotten better. I love the brown ombre feathers on the skirt over the yellow that it was first crafted as. I think Juliane would kill this dark statement gown on the red carpet. Finish the look with a bronze clutch, a pair of bronze heels, old Hollywood waves, and a red lip and this look is for sure going to be one that people will be talking about the next day.
Gwendoline Christie is joining the ranks of the star-studded of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" for the final installment of the series. I am learning to love what the incredibly tall actress, Gwendoline is 6' 3" tall, is wearing on the red carpet and am quite looking forward to what she is going to wear for this premiere. I would pick this white Osman Spring 2016 RTW halter neck caped gown for Gwendoline to wear on this red carpet. I think that this look is classic and modern all at the same time and Gwendoline would look innately regal wearing this design. Add a pair of silver sandals, finger waves, and a pink lip and this is for sure one of the chicest moments on the red carpet.
Natalie Dormer, like Jena Malone, usually brings something edgy to the red carpet. For the "Mockingjay Part 2" premiere in London I would love to see Natalie wear this amazing Roksanda Spring 2016 RTW primrose yellow "Lexie" dress which features an asymmetric high neck and a layered fringe construction throughout with a flat back and a black belted waist. I think that Natalie is one of the few women that could make this type of avant garde gown work on a red carpet. Now if she decided not to wear the belt I think that she would get lost in the froufiness of this gown, but I believe that she wont. Finish the look off very simply with a sleek updo, red lip, black clutch, and black sandals to ensure that this gown is not overtaken by the styling and keeps its awesome impact.

Runway Report: Givenchy Spring/Summer 2016 RTW

Givenchy SS16 RTW
As I said earlier, last night Riccardo Tisci showcased the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2016 RTW collection to a star-studded audience in New York City. Tisci worked with friend and artist Marina Abromovic to stage the show. The two knew that the date of the show was a somber one in NYC, it fell on the 14th anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks, and worked together to almost pay homage but in a non-literal way. Ambrovic designed a set that was made completely of recycled materials and debris. She then soundtracked the show to the sounds of music from six different religions to bridge gaps and "unite people without discrimination." The performances, as well as the hour long wait for the show to start, made attendees sit back and think about taking things slow, actually appreciating what is going on around them and just reflect. As for the clothes themselves Riccardo took the chance to reflect himself. The collection was a rebirth of some of the most successful hits that Tisci has had over his 10 year tenure at the house. Over a thousand guests in person, and many more via the livestream, took in what I believe has been the most amazing Givenchy collection on forever. The palette of black, white, gold, and silver was a reflection without being trendy. 88 looks came strutting down the runway, and surprisingly only 2 models fell during the course of the show going up and down stacks of recycled shipping palettes. I loved that Tisci showed his latest RTW collection but also showcased new menswear as wells a reflection of Haute Couture as well. Joan Smalls stepped on to the runway wearing a black velvet version of am ombre purple gown that Zoe Saldana wore to the 2010 Academy Awards. We also saw a gown Anne Hathaway wore to the 'Les Miserables' world premiere. While I am not an advocate for red carpet reruns I would love to see that black velvet ball gown that Joan Smalls slayed the runway in on the red carpet. A deconstructed pointy toed boot was the shoe style of choice which we saw in a bevy of colors and in varying levels of construction. I strongly urge you to take the time to watch the runway show because it was like a religious experience to me.

See all my favorite looks from Spring/Summer 2016 over on Pinterest.

Givenchy Spring/Summer 2016 Front Row

Givenchy SS16 Front Row
Last night Riccardo Tisci showcased a glorious Givenchy collection on Pier 59 in the shadow of the Freedom Tower in New York City to celebrate the re-opening of the Givenchy NYC flagship store. We usually see a few celebrities seated front row at a Givenchy show in Paris but the stars showed up in droves for the Spring/Summer 2016 presentation. There was the expected guests like Kim Kartashian & Kanye West (who were so annoyingly late that they held the show up an hour), Ciara & Julia Roberts (both former faces of Givenchy), & Naomi Campbell were also not surprisingly in attendance. We were graced with the presences Uma Thurman, Nicki Minaj, Liv & Steven Tyler (on a father/daughter night out), and Christina Ricci who were some of the more surprising guests of the night. I was surprised and saddened not to see Beyonce and Jay-Z not in attendance. The front row at the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2016 RTW presentation I think is only rivaled by the front row that Tom Ford was able to bring out for his Fall/Winter 2015 collection he presented in LA on the eve of the Academy Awards earlier this year. This leads me to ask: why are shows that are put up in locations that differ from their norm able to pull such large celebrity audiences>

#NYFF15: "Carol" Premiere Wish List

I am SOOOOOOO excited about the "Carol" premiere at the 2015 New York Film Festival. I have not had enough Cate Blanchett in my life this year and it seems like we will be seeing a lot of her over at least the next two months. For this premiere I would love to see Cate wear this off the shoulder Marc Jacobs Resort 2016 long sleeved mirror embellished gown. I have been picturing either Cate or Nicole Kidman wearing this gown since it was first presented. I think that this is a more modern look than we are used to seeing Cate wear but I think that she would rock the hell out of it. Finish this look with a wavy faux bob, black sandals, and a bright red lip and this look will be absolute perfection.
Rooney Mara is almost too predictable on the red carpet. She will most likely wear a white or black dress for the "Carol" premiere at the New York Film Festival, but I am holding out hope for something slightly different. I would love to see Rooney wear this lemon sorbet colored Givenchy Fall 2015 Couture feathered tea-length gown for this premiere. I think that the soft pastel color of this dress fits Rooney's non bold personality. Finished with a pair of nude sandals, pulled back waves, and neutral makeup will ensure that Rooney looks sensational on the red carpet.

#TIFF2015: "The Danish Girl" Premiere Wish List

Loyal readers know that I only feature a select few men on my red carpet wish lists because for the most part men are really boring on the red carpet. It would get a little monotonous to keep posting black and navy tuxedos from Tom Ford, Armani, & Burberry. Eddie Redmayne is one who is not so predictable, except this past awards season, and since the Oscar campaign is over I am hoping that we will see Eddie return to being one to the best dressed men not afraid to mix things up a little when it come to red carpet menswear. For the TIFF gala premiere of "The Danish Girl" I would love to see Eddie wear this amazing black Givenchy Spring 2016 Menswear tuxedo with dual lined trim piping on the jacket for this premiere. I would pair this look with a crisp white tuxedo shit, a black silk bow tie, and a pair of black patent leather lace-ups to ensure a classic yet slightly edgy look for Eddie on the TIFF red carpet.
Alicia Vikander has been killing it on the red carpet recently and I am super excited to see what she brings to film festival season. As a face of Louis Vuitton I am sure that we will see Alicia wear quite a few LV pieces, and while I am hoping that she doesn't exclusively wear the brand on the red carpet. For the TIFF premiere of "The Danish Girl" I would love to see Alicia wear this cream Louis Vuitton Resort 2015 gown which features gold embroidery on the sleeves and a front exposed zipper. I think that this would be a very chic modern take on a vintage inspired look for Alicia to rock on the red carpet. Finished with a gold Louis Vuitton clutch, a pair of gold sandals, a chic updo, and a red lip would ensure that Alicia puts her best foot forward for this premiere.
Amber Heard has been finding her sexy again after a stint of oversized suits and baggy ensembles on the red carpet over the past year. I am excited to see what Amber will wear for TIFF. Will she go with a sexy Zac Posen gown? A Tom Ford cocktail dress? I personally would love to see Amber wear this ink blue Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture jumpsuit. I think that this is a formal look perfect for Amber, who loves a red carpet lady pant. A bold red lip, back sandals, pulled back hair, a silver clutch, and a statement diamond collar necklace would ensure that Amber looks all the part of a movie star on the red carpet.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook during the 2015 Venice Film Festival, which runs from September 2 to September 12, to keep on top of all the looks that come down the red carpet.

Shop The Look For Less: Givenchy Spring 2015 RTW

Givenchy is always one of the hottest shows of fashion month and Riccardo Tisci produces some of the most coveted styles in all of fashion so it is no wonder that many of his design ideas show up in the fashion fashion stores. This all black catsuit was one of my favorite looks from the Givenchy Spring 2015 RTW collection and I have to say that I am not shocked that this is what has shown up. The Pretty Little Thing bodysuit top would makes it so that you can get the illusion of a catsuit. Paired with faux leather leggings from Target gives that luxe ultra sexy look. Finished off with a pair of BCBGeneration peep toe booties and you have yourself a version of one of the seasons hottest looks at a fraction of the price

#Cannes2015: amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala Red Carpet Wish List Part 4

Kylie Minogue is a regular at the Cannes Film Festival and the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala. A huge supporter of AIDS charities, I love to see Kylie on the red carpet. For this years amfAR Gala on Thursday I would love to see Kylie wear this fire ombre Roberto Cavalli Fall 2015 RTW cutout gown. Sadly with the transition from the Cavalli era to the Dundas for Cavalli era there has been a noticeable absence of Cavalli on the red carpets. Not one look during the course of the festival has come from Cavalli and we are long over due. I think that Kylie would rock this gown making it look sexy yet still elegant. Some black sandals and simple earrings would finish this look off perfectly.
Since Marion Cotillard is going to most likely wear Dior for her two big premieres during the Cannes Film Festival this week it looks like the reigns have been loosened. Marion gave us 70s disco wearing Balmain at the Chopard Trophy party and I am praying that she will be able to work another brand again for the amfAR Gala. I would love to see Marion wear this amazing red Givenchy Fall 2015 RTW caped embellished gown that evokes the spirit of the Spanish matador by way of a 40's screen siren. Of everything from the Fall 2015 RTW season this is the gown that I am most looking forward to seeing on the red carpet and I am waiting with bated breath for it to turn up. Finished with a classic updo, lined eyes, a red lip, a matching red clutch, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of black sandals and Marion would definitely be one of my favorites at amfAR.
Naomi Watts has been around Cannes since the Opening Ceremony this year. She spent the first two days on the carpet as a L'Oreal Paris brand ambassador, then spent a day promoting Bulgari and their new boutique in Cannes, and on Saturday premiered her film "The Sea of Trees." If Naomi decides to stick around for the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala I would love to see Naomi wear this Armani Prive Spring 2015 Couture spaghetti strap gown with a plunging neckline side cutouts and column skirt. The only problem with the possibility of Naomi wearing this gown is that she wore another gown from this collection for the "The Sea of Trees" premiere two days ago. A black clutch, a pair of black sandals, a simple pair of Bulgari diamond earrings, old Hollywood waves, and a red lip would finish this look off perfectly for the amfAR red carpet.
Natalie Portman is one of the hostesses of this years amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala and I am uber excited to see what she is going to bring to the red carpet. So far the stunning actress has given us three different looks during this years Cannes Film Festival: 1) sleek, sexy, modern and red in custom Christian Dior Couture at the Opening Ceremony, 2) classic Christian Dior Spring 2015 Couture blue floral for the "A Tale of Love and Darkness" premiere, and 3) avant garde Rodarte Fall 2015 RTW at the "A Tale of Love and Darkness" photocall. For the amfAR Gala I would love to see Natalie wear this orange Christian Dior Spring 2015 tea length gown. This gown mixes classic elegance with sleek modernity and I think that Natalie would look stunning in this dress. Finished with a pair of silver sandals and some diamond cluster earrings and this look will continue my love affair with everything that Natalie wears.
