2016 AFI Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 2

The possibility of seeing January Jones at the 2016 AFI Awards on January 8, 2016 is quite good because Mad Men, which aired it's last episode in 2015, is going to be honored with a special AFI Award. When she first came onto the red carpet scene at the start of Mad Men, January was one of the stars to watch but she ended up faltering but at the end she seemed to be doing the right red carpet tricks to gain my eye again. I am excited to see what January will bring to the red carpet and I think that this chic Peter Pilotto Spring 2016 RTW off-the shoulder printed cocktail ensemble is perfect for this more laid back type of a red carpet. This is such a flirty, summery style that eyes would undoubtedly move over to January as the cast takes one last photo together. I would finish this look with Veronica Lake waves, a pink lip, and a pair of fun gold and blue dotted Charlotte Olympia sandals so that January adds another unexpected pop to this look for the red carpet.

After so elegantly promoting The Martian last year, her black Elie Saab Couture gown almost made my Best Dressed of the Year list, I am hoping that Jessica Chastain will be on hand at the AFI Awards next Friday. Jessica had a really elegant year last year and I am always intrigued at what she is going to show up on the red carpet wearing. For this event I would love to see Jessica wearing this saffron yellow Oscar de la Renta Spring 2016 RTW jewel neck gathered waist lace dress. This is such a lady like ensemble and it is very daring for a red head to wear yellow on the red carpet, but if anyone would be able to make it work it would be Jessica. The color combo is such a major statement that I would just finish this look off with a pair of gold Charlotte Olympia 'Monroe' leather pumps, old Hollywood waves, and a red lip to ensure that Jessica kills the AFI Awards red carpet.

I think the person I am most excited to see at the AFI Awards is former Mad Men star and rising fashion star Kiernan Shipka. I have never had a 16 year old almost make my best dressed of the year list but Kiernan came really close with the Dior Couture ensemble that she wore to the Emmy's. I have been loving seeing Kiernan continue to give us stunning look after stunning look. For this red carpet I would love to see Kiernan show up wearing this Gucci Pre-Fall 2016 lace shift dress which features a peter pan collar, black ribbon bow, and lace ruffles on the blouse. This is a look that I think only a couple of stars could end up pulling off and Kiernan is at the top of the list of those that I think that can. Finished simply with a pair of nude fine glitter fabric Jimmy Choo 'Lorelai' pumps with champagne flower embellishments to keep the pretty air of this look going.

It has really been a hot minute since Kirsten Dunst has given me a real wow moment on the red carpet. While the AFI Awards, where Kirsten's show Fargo is being honored, is not where I am expecting her to wow me it is the place to help get me excited about things to come. This Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2016 liberty floral printed handkerchief dress is exactly what I would love to see Kirsten wearing to help get me excited about all of the red carpet appearances that she will be making over awards season. This dress is one of the few from this collection that I actually liked and I am hoping that whomever gets their hands on it does it justice, and I definitely think that Kirsten could. I would love to see this dress paired with a pair of black and gold Tabitha Simmons sandals, a pink lip, and a curly bob to add the perfect final touches.

While I am holding out hope that awards season will not be an all black and white affair for Rooney Mara I also know that this is a very slim chance. For the AFI Awards, where Rooney will most likely be on hand to represent her film Carol, I picked this simple black Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2016 cocktail dress. I think what immediately made me think of Rooney when it came to this dress was that the model is doing one of Rooney's signature poses. While I believe that this dress should be lined for Rooney as I think that most all of the elegance is the top her must have list for the red carpet. I would only add a pair of black suede Nicholas Kirkwood 'Maeva' pearl embellished pumps to ensure that elegance is key in this look for Rooney.

And finally I have my wish for Empire starlet Taraji P. Henson. As I have previously stated I am hoping that 2016 brings a time where Taraji learns that she doesn't have to have a lot of skin showing to have a sultry, sexy look on the red carpet. For the AFI Awards, where it's more ladies who lunch than sex kitten, I picked this Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2016 asymmetric constellation dress which is rendered in white, navy, and black. I think that this type of look is exactly what Taraji needs to have a chic look that still delviers a hint of sexy. The sexy would be further upped by the addition of a pair of black Tom Ford leather sandals with a gold padlock.

2016 AFI Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

Every year the American Film Institute compiles a list of the 10 best movies and television shows of the previous year. This year this list is chock full of movies and television shows that have strong female performances and we are bound to see the stars of these films and shows on the red carpet of the AFI Awards luncheon red carpet on January 8, 2016. Brie Larson might be this seasons biggest underdog and the one to watch. I am really looking forward to seeing what the Room actress will be bringing to the red carpet. For this event I would love to see Brie wearing this white Bottega Veneta Spring 2016 RTW halter dress. This dress is such a chic and simple look which is perfect for a daytime luncheon. I am hoping that Brie continues to expand her repertoire of designers and this would be a lovely addition. Finish with a pair of simple nude sandals and fresh faced make up to finish this luncheon look off perfectly.

I can't believe I am saying this but I was very underwhelmed by what Cate Blanchett brought to the red carpet last year. I think that this is the first time in a while where I haven't had a single look from Cate gracing any of my end of the year awards. I am hoping that come awards season that Cate finds her footing again as she is set to be on every major red carpet this season. For the AFI Awards I would love to see Cate wearing this Roksanda Spring 2016 RTW ensemble which incorporates a simple sky blue silk blouse and pair of beige desert printed pants with sculptural detail in goldenrod on the right hip. I think that this look is something that many would not be able to pull of but the red carpet queen would have no trouble. This is the type of look that I think Cate needs to get me interested in her again, if she steps out in one more black Armani look I might cry.

I am super excited to see Charlize Theron on the red carpet this awards season. I know that she will undoubtedly be in Dior at all the big events but for some of the smaller event I am hoping that she will dig into some of the other brands that she tends to favor. For the AFI Awards I picked this incredibly chic black Jason Wu Spring 2016 RTW structured dress which features side cutouts and ruffles. I love how this look mixes classic sophistication with a fun flirtatious edge. Charlize knows how to take a simple look like this and make me fall head over heels in love with it. Something like the black Christian Louboutin 'Bareta' studded pumps, casual hair, a red lip, and a Dior clutch would ensure that Charlize slays this look at the AFI Awards.

Claire Danes is another whom I usually love but in 2015 she really let me down. I am hoping that if she takes to the red carpet at the AFI Awards for her show Homeland that she will be back on form. To help her do so I picked a sexy borrowed from the boys type of look. This Versace Spring 2016 RTW black pinstripe dress is something that is sexy and sophisticated, perfect for the AFI Awards luncheon. I know that while some might be tempted to go all Angelina Jolie with their leg and that sexy slit, I know that Claire would keep it classy and just let the leg pop out the split naturally. Finished with a pair of simple black Jimmy Choo pumps and fresh faced makeup and Claire will be ready to hit the red carpet and work it like she hasn't worked on in a long time.

If there was a fashion breakout star in 2015 it had to be Daisy Ridley who captured our hearts and the eye of many of the top designers. As she did such an amazing job while promoting Star Wars: The Force Awakens so I am sure that they will send her to the AFI Awards, where the film is being honored. Since Daisy has yet to double dip on designers I am continuing to expand her base by picking this black Etro Spring 2016 RTW ensemble which consists of a floral printed leather bodice and a tiered eyelet hem skirt. With the caliber of looks that Daisy has been putting out I could see many being bored with this type of look, but I think that the visual interest on the blouse is perfect for this type of more casual type of a red carpet. Finished with soft curls, a pink lip, and a pair of gold Christian Louboutin pointed toe pump and this is a perfect AFI Awards red carpet look.

Emilia Clarke was up and down last year and I am hoping that if she attends the 2016 AFI Awards to represent Game of Thrones that she starts the year on the right foot. What better way to do that than wearing this aqua blue Roland Mouret Spring 2016 RTW flared dress. Emilia is not one who is afraid of a bold color and since the AFI Awards are handed out during a luncheon this more laid back style is totally appropriate. The dress is classic and has a sense of flirtation with it's flared skirt. I would just add a pair of gold Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals and a pink lip to finish this look off.

2015 AFI Fest: "Disorder" Premiere Wish List

Diane Kruger's film "Disorder" has been screened at Cannes and Toronto and is now on the slate to premiere at the AFI Fest, which kicks off tonight. I am hoping that Diane will jet her way to LA for this premiere and keep looking absolutely fabulous. I was not a huge fan of the Fendi Spring 2016 RTW collection but I do have to say that this short sleeve, lace-up detail, cocktail dress with its sexy modern cut-outs. 2015 AFI Fest: "The 33" Premiere Wish List

"The 33" will premiere at the 2015 AFI Fest on Monday evening. I have got to say that this is a premiere that I am excited to see what will become of the red carpet. Juliette Binoche has been making the rounds promoting various movies all year and looking absolutely fabulous doing so taking effortless French style on the road. For this premiere I would love to see Juliette wearing this absolutely beautiful Oscar de la Renta Fall 2015 RTW little black dress with crystal embroidered sleeves. This is such a classic dress and Juliette would look absolutely beautiful on this red carpet. Up-swept hair, a red lip, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps would round out this absolutely fabulous moment for the AFI Fest red carpet.

2015 AFI Fest: "Tale of Tales" Premiere WIsh List

Salma Hayek, the first lady of the Kering Group, is expected to take to the red carpet at the 2015 AFI Fest premiere of her film "Tale of Tales." I am predicting that she will keep up her roll wearing Alexander McQueen while promoting this film. I would love to see Salma wear this floral embroidered Alexander McQueen Resort 2016 strapless cocktail dress. Salma is either a hit or miss on the red carpet since she only wears brands under the Kering Group umbrella which can make her a little predictable but I still think that this dress is perfection and Salma would look beautiful. Finish with a pair of gold Sergio Rossi pumps and a gold Gucci clutch will ensure that Salma does all of her husbands brands a good justice.

2015 AFI Fest: "Queen of the Desert" Premiere Wish List

Nicole Kidman is killing the red carpets recently. I have a love/hate relationship with Nicole when it comes to her red carpet style and I am really happy that she has been churning out amazing look after amazing look. Nicole's latest film "Queen of the Desert" is part of the 2015 AFI Fest and I hope that she will give me a major moment on the red carpet. I think that this navy Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture jumpsuit is a perfect moment for Nicole and this red carpet. It will take someone tall to pull off this look and Nicole definitely has the height to make this look work. Finished with a pair of black sandals and a navy Edie Parker clutch this would be a major moment for Nicole to rock on the AFI Fest red carpet.

2015 AFI Fest: "Macbeth" Premiere Wish List

Marion Cotillard is either killing it on the red carpet or she is a hot mess. I am hoping that with Raf Simons stepping down as the creative director of Dior that Marion will return to the woman that I fell in love with all those years ago. For the AFI Fest premiere of "Macbeth" I picked this ultra chic and modern Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture white long sleeved dress with chainmail overlay. I believe that this can be the moment that Marion needs to start her road to red carpet recovery and continually give major red carpet moments instead of making me wish for more. Finish the look with a pair of silver Jimmy Choo sandals, a white Dior clutch, sleek pulled back hair and a red lip to ensure that this look shines bright like the modern statement it is.

2015 AFI Fest: "Carol" Premiere Wish List

Whilst this year Cate Blanchett has not been a disaster most of the queens red carpet looks have not been up to the incredibly high standards that she has continued to set for herself. I have not been in love with one of her looks since her black Armani Prive gown at the Cannes Film Festival. I am hoping that when she steps out for the 2015 AFI Fest premiere of "Carol" that Cate is back on form. I picked this black and white mirror embellished Marc Jacobs Resort 2016 structured "shirt" dress for her because I think that this edgy masculine meets feminine ensemble is perfect for Cate to wear for this red carpet. A sleek hairstyle, a red lip, black clutch, and a pair of black sandals will ensure that Cate is back on top form.

With Cate not being a complete favorite Rooney Mara has been consistently wowing me on the red carpet, and I am hoping that she will continue to do so at the AFI Fest premiere of "Carol." Rooney has been sticking to her black and white box but picking interesting looks so that nothing is left to be called boring. I am surprised that Rooney has not worn a single Givenchy look so far this year and I am awaiting that moment on the red carpet. I love how Rooney's romantic gothic style is perfectly punctuated by the soft romantic styles of Givenchy. I think that this white silk and lace Givenchy Spring 2016 RTW ensemble is a perfect look for Rooney to wear on this red carpet. Finish with a pair of silver sandals and Audrey Hepburn inspired beauty and Rooney will be perfectly poised to a major red carpet moment in one of her favorite designers.

2015 AFI Fest: "The Big Short" Premiere Wish List

"The Big Short" is the closing film of the 2015 AFI Fest and I am hoping that Selena Gomez will attend and wow me. I have not been wowed by one of Selena's looks all year and that is really sad because I thought she was going to be one that I consistently loved. When she was having a love affair with all things Versace a few years ago was when I loved everything that Selena was wearing on the red carpet and I decided that for this premiere that she should go back to that place. I think that this one shoulder crystal embellished Atelier Versace Fall 2014 Couture gown is perfect for this occasion. The sleek modern glamour of this gown makes me question why it has never been worn on a red carpet and I think that Selena would be a perfect choice to rock this gown on a red carpet. Finish the look with black crystal embellished sandals, a silver clutch, a sleek bun, and a red lip and Selena will be back on top form for the AFI Fest premiere of "The Big Short.

2015 AFI Fest: "Concussion" Premiere Wish List

Gugu Mbatha-Raw has consistently been a delight to see on the red carpet, I don't think that I have ever disliked one of her red carpet look, and I am extremely excited to see what she will wear to the 2015 AFI Fest centerpiece gala premiere of "Concussion." I was searching through all of Gugu's past red carpet moments trying to pick the perfect look for her to wear for this red carpet premiere and couldn't find anything that spoke to me but when I scrolled passed this strapless navy blue BOSS Spring 2016 RTW dress which features fringe details horizontally and vertically. I think that this modern yet very classic dress is perfect for the AFI Fest red carpet. Finish with her hair worn curly, a red lip, a navy clutch, and black sandals and this will be another winning look for Gugu.

Jada Pinkett Smith might not be in "Concussion" but she is always there to stand next to husband Will Smith looking fierce. I would love to see Jada rock her plus one duties wearing this black and white strapless Balenciaga Resort 2016 floral print embroidered cocktail dress which features a slit to there. I think that this definitely would bode well for the actress who does not look anywhere near 44. This is a sexy yet chic look perfect for a plus one. Finish the look with a sleek edgy hairstyle, neutral makeup, and a pair of black and white Givenchy sandals and this look is red carpet ready.

2015 AFI Fest: "By The Sea" Premiere Wish List

It is happening again. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in a movie together, and guess what she directed it. I am actually quite intrigued to see what Angelina will bust out for the premiere of her latest film "By The Sea" at the opening night of the 2015 AFI Fest  on November 5, 2015. I have been mentally saving this Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture strapless sweetheart neck gown which features lavender floral embroidery on the bodice and black lattice embroidery on the skirt for Angelina since it was first presented back in January. The silhouette is classic Angie but the floral embroidery might not be. I can see her having this dress custom made to just feature the lattice work or be made in the same silhouette in all black but I think that this softer version of this dress is what Angie should wear. She can keep her normal styling of black peep toe Salvatore Ferragamo satin pump, old Hollywood waves, and neutral makeup to ensure that the dress is the statement.

2014 AFI Fest: "Foxcatcher" Premiere Wish List

 Of all of the premieres that "Foxcatcher" has had Sienna Miller has only attended the London and New York Film Festival premieres. I am really hoping that when the film closes the 2014 AFI Fest on Thursday that the British actress is on the red carpet giving us full on glam. I picked this army green Erdem Spring 2015 RTW strapless textured gown which features a center tummy cutout, which if her recent black crop top has anything to say about it Sienna would have no issues with. I think that while this isn't a stereotypical glamorous moment that this has Sienna written all over and I think that with a sleek hair style, a pair of gold sandals, and a red lip that this would be a winning red carpet moment for the stunning British star.

2014 AFI Fest: "The Homesman" Premiere Wish List

Some light possible Oscar buzz has been buzzing around for a possible acting nomination for Hilary Swank because of her role in "The Homesman." I am sure that has had some impact on the extremely strong promo tour that she has had with this film, she is definitely a front runner for best promo tour right this moment. Another Cannes film that will screen during the 2014 AFI Fest, it is a gala premiere on Tuesday, I am very excited to see what Hilary will wear for this premiere. I would pick this Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture strapless floral embroidered cocktail dress. This is a feminine beautiful elegant choice perfect for a gala premiere. I would have the skirt lined in cream because I do not see the 40 year actress wearing the bodysuit runway version. A pair of gold pumps, a gold clutch, and soft waves over one shoulder would ensure that Hilary has yet another winning look on this promo tour further solidifying her as the promo tour star of the year

2014 AFI Fest: "Still Alice" Premiere Wish List

Julianne Moore is leading the pack at the current moment for the 2015 Oscar Race to take home the Best Actress trophy. Because of this I am expecting to see Julianne Moore at the AFI Fest premiere of "Still Alice" despite it being the day after the "Mockingjay Part 1" premiere in London. Julianne will be able to rest over the December holidays but first we need to get through the final push is 2014. For this premiere I picked this stunning ice blue Nina Ricci Spring 2015 RTW crushed silk pencil dress with an symmetrical bodice. I think that this is a very chic ladylike option for Julianne who I am sure we will see pushing boundaries for what 53 year old women should wear. I would modify this look slightly so that the skirt would hit right above Julianne's knees so that it would not make her look short and stumpy. A silver clutch, a pair of silver cage sandals, a slick parted tight bun, and a red lip would finish off this amazing red carpet ensemble.

At the "Still Alice" premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival Kate Bosworth delivered one of her best ever looks in head to toe red and while I do not think that this sugary pink Oscar de la Renta Spring 2015 RTW flared cocktail dress with white lapel style detail would even come close to that look I do think that it is event appropriate and would look stunning on Kate. Kate and Oscar had a close relationship, he custom designed her wedding gown and styled her bridal look, and I think that she will pay tribute to the late designer at some point on the red carpet. Accessorized with a white clutch and a pair of white Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals and finished off with a tight low bun and soft pink lip this look would do the late designer proud.

2014 AFI Fest: "Saint Laurent" Premiere Wish List

The 2014 AFI Fest seems to be a reincarnation of the Cannes Film Festival all over again but in LA. Seven of the major films that are premiering at the Fest got their first red carpet at the renowned French film festival. Lea Seydoux's "Saint Laurent" was one of these films. Back then I thought for sure that the 29 year old French beauty would have worn a custom Saint Laurent creation for either the photocall or premiere but she shocked me, albeit only a little, by wearing custom Prada for both events in Cannes. I figure that she will once again be loyal to Muccia Prada at the AFI Fest premiere of the film next Tuesday and I think that this black silk ruffled crop top and pencil skirt of clashing prints from the Miu Miu Spring 2015 RTW collection would look stunning on Lea at this premiere. I mean they would look stunning on her anywhere but I think that the mix of classic, youthfulness, and edge are exactly what Lea needs for this red carpet. A pair of Prada or Miu Miu pumps dyed to match the blue in the skirt, hair worn down but pulled back to show the neck, and a red lip will just continue to elevate this into a perfect red carpet ensemble.

2014 AFI Fest: "Two Days, One Night" Premiere Wish List

Marion Cotillard used to be a favorite of mine when she stepped out on the red carpet, her effortless French style always left me breathless. Since Raf Simons took over the reigns at Dior, which Marion is a spokesmodel for, her style has been less and less enthusiastic and varied. With that said I picked an obligatory look from the Christian Dior Spring 2015 RTW collection for Marion to wear for the AFI Fest premiere of her film "Two Days, One Night" on Friday. This look which consists of a white knit tank top and structured cream embroidered skirt would look very pretty on Marion and I would hope that she would make a glamorous statement wearing this on the red carpet. A chic Parisian updo, red lip, light smokey eye, a blue Christian Dior clutch, and black Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals would bring about the perfect finishing touches to bring life back to Marion when she has been very lackluster as of late.

2014 AFI Fest: "Clouds of Sils Maria" Premiere Wish List

For the better part of the year the cast of "Clouds of Sils Maria" has been doing the red carpet pony show promoting the film, with no Oscar buzz surrounding the movie I am surprised that the production team is still pushing it. None the less from Cannes to the AFI Fest the cast of the film will be on the red carpet to promote the film on Friday at the Egyptian Theater. Chloe Grace Moretz has been rocking the red carpet this year showcasing her sophisticated youthful style. I am excited to see what she will bring to the red carpet at the AFI Fest. I think that this Valentino Fall 2014 Couture sleeveless completely embroidered mini dress is a perfect match for Chloe to wear on this red carpet. A pair of red Christian Louboutin sandals, a red lip, and old Hollywood waves would finish off this look perfectly for the AFI red carpet.

Kristen Stewart has been WERKING the red carpets lately. Gone are the days that I would cringe over the soiled major red carpet moments in some of the best looks from the worlds best designers. I think that Kristen has lost the pressure of constantly trying to outdo the last promotional tour that I am sure that she underwent during the "Twilight" years and I think has finally come into her own. For this premiere I picked this Chanel Spring 2015 RTW ensemble. As the face of Chanel Pre-Fall 2014, as well as good friends with Kaiser Karl, it would surprise me if Kristen didn't pick a look from the collection for this premiere. I love the feminine white blouse with the pinstripe shorts paired with the thick gold belt and I think that this has Kristen's name written all over it. Having shed her long locks in favor of a short punky do I have to say that Kristen would rock this look like no other. Finish the look with a simple pair of Christian Louboutin black pumps and a red lip and Kristen will indeed have another red carpet win on her hands!

2014 AFI Fest: "Inherant Vice" Premiere Wish List

"Inherent Vice" will be premiering at the AFI Fest with a gala premiere on November 8. I am excited to see this film premiere because like many of the other films being showcased at AFI it has some Oscar buzz around it, all be it as a dark horse but a contender none the less. Jena Malone is one of the cast members of this film and has been on a major red carpet roll this fall, with the "Mockingjay" promo tour and awards season just forthcoming I am excited to keep seeing Jena grow in her red carpet choices. For the AFI Fest I picked this stunning bright yellow Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2014 Couture layered chiffon cocktail dress. I think that this is pretty yet edgy and the bold color is something that Jena would rock the hell out of with her new red locks. I would just pair this dress with a pair of simple gold Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals, slicked back hair, and simple makeup to ensure that Jena is red carpet ready for the AFI Fest.

I have been really disappointed in Reese Witherspoon so far thus festival season wearing, while be they not boring, but almost all black frocks. I am hoping for some infusion of color come the AFI Fest premiere of "Inherent Vice" on Saturday. I picked this black Marchesa Spring 2015 RTW cocktail dress that features a slight sweetheart neckline with fitted bodice, a full tulle skirt, and floral embroidery throughout the bodice and vertically placed along the skirt in pink and green. This dress was shown on the pre-order site ModaOperandi with looks from the collection that took to the runway. While the base of the dress is black the pink and green floral embroidery elevate this dress into a stunning sweet statement that Reese loves to make on the red carpet. A simple pair of black Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals, A light pink Edie Parker clutch, and some simple diamond drop earrings would accessorize this look perfectly. Throw on a bright red lip and hair styled in old Hollywood Veronica Lake waves swept over one shoulder and Reese will be back to her best.

2014 AFI Fest: "A Most Violent Year" Premiere Wish List

The final festival before the start of awards season, the American Film Institutes AFI Fest, will kick off next Thursday November 6, with the gala premiere of "A Most Violent Year." We have seen a lot of Oscar contenders come from the AFI Fest and "A Most Violent Year" is one of the ones with lots of buzz around it this year. Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor are all possible nominations being thrown around for the film and I am hoping that we get to see it all the way through the Academy Awards. I am mostly holding out hope because the stunning Jessica Chastain is the Best Actress hopeful and she always shuts down the red carpet when she arrives. For the AFI Fest opening gala premiere of the film I have picked this rather simple black Valentino Fall 2014 Couture silk wool cocktail dress with side cutouts. While this is a simple plain black dress I think that with Jessica's presence and the right accessories that this would be a best dressed worthy look. Styled with a gold Bulgari satin damask clutch embroidered in a floral pattern with pearls and semiprecious stones, a pair of black Christian Louboutin 'Valnina' ankle strap sandals, Bulgari emerald, diamond, and sapphire cluster earrings, and a Bulgari emerald and diamond inlaid in yellow gold cocktail ring would add the perfect accent to make this a bold red carpet statement. Sleek straight locks with her bangs out in full force and a red lip add the perfect finishing touches to a red carpet ready ensemble perfect for the AFI Fest.

AFI Tribute Gala Honoring Jane Fonda Wish List

On July 5th the American Film Institute will host its annual tribute gala, this year honoring legendary actress Jane Fonda. Jane killed it earlier this month at the Cannes Film Festival wearing a ruby red crystal embroidered  Elie Saab Couture gown, and while I don't think that she will go that grand for this occasion I am hoping for that signature Jane Fonda glamour diva to make an appearance at this event. I think that this jade green Raoul Fall 2014 RTW gown with long sleeved and slightly draped midsection would be absolutely stunning on the 76 year young actress. I love the gold cuff that was added for the presentation and I would actually add two gold cuffs and a pair of gold silk sandals to give this the perfect finishing touches for Jane for her big night! I am sure there will be a host of other stars that could include: Lindsey Lohan, Felicity Huffman, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, and Freida Pinto but as I have not been able to confirm anyone I decided to solely dedicate this post to Jane.
