2016 Oscar Parties Red Carpet Wish List Part 11

5 more posts of Oscar party wishes and a post for the Costume Designers Guild Awards red carpet are all that stand between the main stage wishes. I am getting more and more excited as there are a gaggle of red carpets leading up to the Academy Awards next week and the ultra glam parties that follow. Dakota Johnson has been continuously getting better and better with her red carpet looks and I am hoping that she will step out on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party next Sunday. Dakota, and her stylist, have been picking amazing gowns for her red carpet appearances lately and I am intrigued to see what they would pick for the Vanity Fair party. I would love to see Dakota step out in this ultra sexy glam black Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2016 RTW long sleeve crystal embroidered gown which has a daring plunging neckline. I believe that this classic chic gown would be very high impact on Dakota who knows how to elevate a classic look. A black Edie Parker clutch, a pair of black satin sandals, a dazzling diamond necklace, a bold red lip, chic waves, and a pair of diamond studs would just ensure that Dakota has a sultry and glamorous look on the Vanity Fair red carpet.
Jessica Biel would be a fun person to see out on the red carpet on Oscar night with hubby Justin Timberlake, giving them an ultra glam date night while a sitter stays home with the baby. Jessica has been on very few red carpets since giving birth and I have not had a major wow moment, so I think that this opportunity would make for a great chance for her to redeem herself. I think that this black and blue Atelier Versace Spring 2016 Couture strapless embroidered mermaid gown would make for such a major red carpet moment for Jessica. Some of my favorite moments from Jessica in the past have come thanks to Versace and I think that this would be another. While I know some people are wanting to see this at the main event I think that this is something more in tune to an after party and I am really hoping that Jessica gets her hands on it.
After the year she had last year I am kind of expecting to see Lea Seydoux on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party next Sunday. Lea was jettisoned to international fame after her role as a Bond girl in Spectre, the latest installation of the James Bond franchise. Earlier this year Lea was announced as a face of Louis Vuitton and I let my heart sink. Her first look with the brand was a disaster, only Alicia Vikander has had continued success as a Louis Vuitton ambassador, so I am hoping since it is going to be Alicia's big night that Lea takes to the red carpet in another brand. I would love to see Lea in a custom Prada or Miu Miu gown or this amazing emerald green Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture fulled embellished gown with a 3/4 length sleeve. This is a regal red carpet moment waiting to happen and I think that Lea would punctuate that regality perfectly. A sleek hairstyle, a red lip, and diamond cluster earrings would finish this regal moment with ease.
I am interested to see what Nicole Kidman will wear on Oscar night. I am betting that she wears one look all night from the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party (which she is one of the events co-chairs) to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party after the ceremony. Nicole usually sticks to one look and I am hoping that it is something that I love. I think that soft dusty pink Gucci Pre-Fall 2016 puffy sleeve gown with bow detailing on the bodice and subtle print. I think it would take a woman with regal presence to make this gown work on the red carpet and Nicole has it, when she wants it. I think that this would make for a very old Hollywood moment as the gown evokes the styles of the 1940's, so I think a chic vintage inspired bob, fresh faced makeup, a gold clutch, pair of gold sandals, and yellow gold set diamond cluster earrings would ensure that Nicole has a great night on the red carpet.
Saoirse Ronan might be the nominated actress that I am most worried about when it comes to her Oscar night style. I think that the actress and Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue cover star will most likely go short for the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. After a glam gown on the main stage I would love to see Saoirse wearing this black and silver Burberry Pre-Fall 2016 gown with beautiful beaded fringe gown on the red carpet at Vanity Fair. I think that this kind of relaxed modern flapper look would be a perfect look for an after party. Keep the styling along the lines of a modern flapper with a sleek ponytail, a smoky eye, black clutch, and a pair of simple black sandals and Saoirse would have an after party look worthy of an Oscar nominated actress.

2015 End of the Year Style Awards: Best Dressed of 2015

First off I would like to wish all of my readers a very Merry Christmas. I hope everyone is spending the day with family and enjoying the day. On this day of celebration and gift giving I am gifting to all of you a host of beautiful women in my Best Dressed of the Year list. Taking the top spot is Lea Seydoux in custom bright sunshine yellow Prada at the 2015 BAFTA Awards. This was a major moment that made my jaw drop the moment I saw it. For the most part I was very disappointed in the BAFTA red carpet as there was nothing all that interesting until Lea showed up. This dramatic yet extremely elegant gown is one of the best things that Prada has ever put on the red carpet. It was however hard to choose between Lea's looks as they have all been amazing this year. I am excited to continue to see Lea be embraced by mainstream films because I want to see her on more big promo tour red carpets.
Following closely to Lea is Emmy Rossum who exuded lady like elegance at the The New York Botanical Garden's annual Conservatory Ball wearing a beautiful water inspired Carolina Herrera Fall 2015 RTW. If Lea and Prada weren't such a match made in heaven this would have been my number one look of the year. Everything about this look exudes chicness, from the diamond drop earrings to the sweeping updo, and the red lip. This will be a look that will rank in Emmy's record books for many years to come.

Sonam Kapoor is a stunning spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris in India. Before she got her hands on this contract I had no idea who she was but slowly over the years she has been taking the Cannes Film Festival by storm and I have been loving more and more of her looks. This year I fell in love with this stunning Ashi Studio couture gown that Sonam wore for the L’Oreal Paris ‘Matte or Gloss’ Cannes Collection Launch prior to this years festival. The sculptural-ness of this gown made me absolutely fall in love with it. This gown is so unique in it's shape that most would end up being overwhelmed, and Sonam worked it like it owed her back rent.

Kerry Washington stepped out for the 2015 Emmy Awards and she worked the hell out of this Marc Jacobs Spring 2016 RTW completely embellished cocktail dress. Kerry broke standard awards show dress code rules by showing up in a short dress. While I would have been even more in love with this as a gown I applaud Kerry for stepping out of the standard box and going with a look from my favorite Spring 2016 RTW collection. This collection was made for adventurous spirits like Kerry. Oh and on a side note, Kerry is the only woman to make an appearance on both this years Best and Worst Dressed lists.
Kate Hudson and Atelier Versace has always been a match made in heaven. This white gown embellished with swarovski crystals and its plunging neckline has been on my mind all year. As I think back on all of my favorite moments that Kate Hudson has had on the red carpet almost all of them that come to mind immediately have been in white. What I love about this look is that while everything about this look on paper should read cheap, tacky, pageant dress but on Kate it is chic, demure with the right amount of sexy.

How to do you go out with a bang? Just look at Elizabeth Banks who kicked off the final promo tour for the Hunger Games series with Mockingjay Part 2 in grand style wearing an Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture floral ball gown at the films world premiere in Berlin. This is a beautiful princess moment that I can picture her character, Effie Trinkett, being quite proud of. It may not have been the Atelier Versace moment that I was expecting but it is even more spectacular than what I was expecting.

I always have one street style look on the list. I am always one of the people who loves a great moment of personal style. Lupita Nyong'o was spotted leaving The View wearing a dress from the BOSS Fall 2015 RTW dress that she paired with a matching blazer, a grey BOSS "Bespoke" handbag, red suede pointed toe pumps, and a pair of black sunglasses. This is an edgy feminine version of a power suit that I immediately fell for. If you are looking for inspiration for hot work wear this is exactly what you should be using as inspiration.
Julianne Moore had an amazing year and it really was hard picking a favorite look of her's to feature on the Best Dressed of the Year list. With all kinds of custom gowns from Chanel and Givenchy it was surprising to me that my favorite look from the stunning redhead was her all black Armani Prive gown worn to the Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony. I love a redhead in black and Julianne pulled off this stunning gown embellished with crystals and feathers. I think it was the feathers, and the emerald Chopard earrings, that made me really love this gown. I am a sucker for feathers. Sleek hair and a perfectly executed smokey eye finished this look to perfection.

Lily James's rise to fashion stardom was paved with princess dresses from the likes of Dior and Elie Saab but it was her sleek modern icy grey/blue custom Balenciaga gown with brass buttons at the "Cinderella" premiere in London. For almost all the premieres it was ball gowns so I was very happy to see Lily change it up with this look. I love how she kept the styling simple adding sleek slicked back hair, a lined eye, and pink pout. This is how you do modern Cinderella. Lily at the end of the year cut her hair and dyed it dark and it's almost like she lost her mojo. I am hoping that she returns to top form in 2016, because this type of moment is one that is forever needed.

Finally I picked Blake Lively in her stunning red Monique Lhuillier Fall 2012 RTW gown at the New York premiere of her film "The Age of Adeline." The promo tour for this film was so much better than the movie and honestly she might have been a little overdressed for the occasion. Blake gave us sexy Marilyn bombshell in this dress which fused ruffles, lace, leather, and volume. The old Hollywood waves, Lorraine Schwartz diamond ear clips added to the high glamour of the look and a Judith Leiber "Koi Fish" swarovski crystal clutch added a quirky fun touch to ensure that Blake sizzled down the carpet.

It was a hard job taking over 1,300 red carpet looks and narrowing it down to 10 looks. It is a daunting task but someone has to do it. I want to take this moment to thank all of you for helping me have a wonderful year with If I Was A Stylist. 2016 starts a new chapter on my personal journey as for the first time I don't have any school to attend. I am going to work on balancing work life, with blogging and still having time for friends and family. I am formulating some new features for the blog based on things I want to add and things that I have been getting back in my feedback. If you haven't taken my survey please do. It is only 6 questions that help me give you guys what you most want to see. All the feedback I get helps me make your experience on this site more enjoyable. Awards season posts will start on Monday so I am excited to show all of you my wishes.

2015 End of the Year Style Awards: Best Promotional Tour

I waited almost the entire year for Lea Seydoux to start her promo tour for the latest James Bond film "Spectre" because I knew it was going to be amazing. I have always adored Lea's style and she definitely lived up to my expectations and then some. I was hoping that Lea wasn't going to wear only Prada and Miu Miu for the almost all of the promo tour. I have to say that while she did wear almost all Prada or Miu Miu (only stepping out twice in a brand other than Prada or Miu Miu) no two looks were the same or remotely similar either. Lea looked all the part of a screen siren and Bond girl and I was sad to see this tour come to an end. I hope that this will be the mainstream market breakthrough for Lea as I would love to see her rock more and more red carpets.
I am currently looking for feedback from my readers if you wouldn't mind taking a quick six question survey I would be greatly appreciative of that, you can take it by clicking here.

2015 End of the Year Style Awards: Best Brand Ambassador

To say it was the year of Lea Seydoux is an understatement. At the beginning of the year if you didn't follow fashion or the European film circuit you are most likely to never have heard of Lea and now with title of Bond Girl under her belt people have begun to take notice. For almost all of her looks this year, I think there might have been one Schiaparelli Couture look and one Alexis Mabille Couture look, Lea was exclusively dressed by either Prada or its little sister Miu Miu. Muccia Prada is not exactly well regarded for her custom designed gowns for the red carpet but Lea is the only person I know that has a perfect record of never wearing a Prada or Miu Miu gown that isn't flawless. Many of Lea's Prada/Miu Miu looks ended up in contention for a spot on the Best Dressed of the Year List and I am sure that you can see why. All of these glamorous looks and styles that are quite varied. Check out some more of Lea's Prada/Miu Miu moments and don't forget to check back every day as more awards are posted leading up to the Best Dressed of the Year list on December 25!

Best Dressed of November 2015

If you don't know the November Best Dressed list the end of the year for If I Was A Stylist. I take looks from December of the previous year through November of the current year into consideration for my Best Dressed of the Year list. Starting tomorrow the End of the Year Style Awards will start posting with Best Transformation. Topping the Best Dressed of November list is Lea Seydoux who looked very much the part of a Bond girl wearing a red custom Miu Miu off the shoulder chiffon at the "Spectre" premiere in Mexico City. I was a little concerned with Lea only wearing Miu/Miu and Prada during this promo tour and thus becoming a one note but each look that Lea put out was more glamorous than the last and this was the piece du resistance.
Spanish supermodel Nieves Alvarez, who has long been a favorite of mine (often giving looks worthy of being on my Best Dressed of the Year list), attended the Vanity Fair Awards in Madrid wearing a custom Stephane Rolland Couture gown which masters illusion neckline which she paired with an Yliana Yepez clutch, Torricao Alta Joyeria jewels and a Santiago Del Palacio fur. Nieves for sure showed us how it is done as this is the perfect way to wear white going into the winter season. The big shock of the month for me was how amazingly beautiful that Heidi Klum looked on the red carpet of the Bambi Awards wearing a custom eggplant Zac Posen strapless structured ball gown. Heidi has been wearing a lot of really unflattering, age inappropriate looks which have aged her more than they should so it was amazing that this gown made such a glamorous impact. Talking about glamorous impact model Arizona Muse stepped out for the British Fashion Awards wearing a Ralph & Russo Fall 2015 couture embroidered cap sleeve crop top and high waisted palazzo pants. Arizona took this modern take on a classic look and went full on old Hollywood movie star glam with her hair and make-up which just made this look even more beautiful.
Kiernan Shipka is always the most amazingly dress teenager on the red carpet. She attended the Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2015 Couture embroidered and embellished cocktail dress. What other 16 year old can work this dress on red carpet with such class and confidence. Kiernan is definitely getting better and better with each red carpet that she steps out on and I am excited to continue to see her grow. Stephanie Sigman was an unknown to me prior to the "Spectre" promo tour but after wearing one of my favorite Marchesa looks for the London premiere and this absolutely stunning red custom Armani Prive long sleeve structured gown, it is safe to say that she has put her foot in the cement of being a fashion darling. Solange is one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet. She gives some of the looks that you would only see fashion folks wearing during fashion week on the red carpet. On the red carpet for the Louis XIII Celebration of ‘100 Years’ The Movie You Will Never See, Solange rocked a tangerine Milly Spring 2016 RTW off the shoulder pencil dress with flamenco sleeves that she paired with a gold box clutch, neutral sandals, braids and an orange lip. We don't see much of Milly on the red carpet and it is looks like this from Solange that makes me question why we don't.
While I loved Kiernan's dress at the Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party it was Dakota Johnson in her white Christian Dior gown with a silver embellished bodice at the Guggenheim International Gala Dinner that took my breath away. Only a day away and such vastly different looks this has got to be my favorite look from Dakota as she keeps getting better with her red carpet dressing. I am actually looking forward to seeing what she is going to bring next year. Elizabeth Banks started the final promo tour for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 in high style wearing a floral Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture spaghetti strap ball gown for the films premiere in Berlin. This is a perfect red carpet moment to close a major film series, which is good since Jennifer Lawrence completely let me down. Finished with an Elie Saab floral crown this look is in definite contention for Best Dressed of the Year. Kerry Washington made a very disappointing night on the red carpet from the Academy Governors Awards into something interesting wearing a black organza Giambattista Valli Fall 2015 Couture sheer ball gown with pink floral embellishments to the Baby2Baby Gala. Usually we see some very pretty dresses, which there were many pretty gowns, but Kerry brought a dramatic red carpet moment. Kerry plus Giambattista Valli Couture = amazing.
I am currently looking for feedback from my readers if you wouldn't mind taking a quick six question survey I would be greatly appreciative of that, you can take it by clicking here.

"Spectre" London Premiere Wish List

I am super excited to see the latest installment of the James Bond franchise "Spectre" premiere in London on Monday. This has to be one of the premieres that is going to have the best fashion of all of the year. So many of the stars of this film are known for their A+ red carpet style and I am betting that this will be the best dressed premiere of the year. French actress Lea Seydoux is expected to attend the premiere. I LOVE Lea's style and I am almost 100% certain that she will wear either a custom Prada or Miu Miu gown for this red carpet. Since I can't exactly show you a custom gown I went through all of the brands that Lea loves to wear on the red carpet and decided that I would love to see her wear this Elie Saab Spring 2016 RTW black embellished gown with sheer panel on the skirt. I think that this is a classy way for Lea to take on the sheer trend. My wish for her and this gown for a major premiere like London is that she would have a dramatic train added to follow her. A pair of black Christian Louboutin lace "Magicadiva" pointed toe ankle strap pumps, a black Prada clutch, and Chopard cluster diamond earrings are the accessories that I would pair with a vintage inspired updo and a red lip to ensure that Lea delivers the femme fatale style that we are all expecting to see her wear for the "Spectre" premieres.
Naomie Harris got her big break in the last incarnation of the James Bond franchise "Skyfall" and her character is one of the few that is continuing on to be in "Spectre." I have loved watching Naomie become the fashion star that she is over the past 3 years and I can not wait to see what she is going to bring to the red carpet for the "Spectre" premiere in London. I picked this Giambattista Valli Fall 2015 Couture marigold yellow caped draped gown with a uber sexy split up to there for her to wear on the red carpet. I really hope that Naomie gets her hand on this gown, but might be a little bit of a stretch since Naomie has never worn of of Giambattista Valli's couture pieced on the red carpet before (but she has worn his RTW.) I think that this gown with its dramatic train is perfect for the "Spectre" premiere, the added sparkle via the faux embellished ribbon on the neck is a glamorous addition. I would add a pair of gold sandals, fresh faced makeup, an updo, cluster earrings, and a gold clutch to ensure that Naomie can make a best dressed list.
Model Monica Bellucci is making her waves in the acting world and "Spectre" is her latest film. I gotta say I don't have very high hopes for what she is going to wear for this premiere on Monday. Monica basically exclusively wears Dolce & Gabbana for her red carpet appearances, and with very little variation. This black Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2015 RTW simple black 3/4 length sleeve gown with a square neckline is something that Monica would for sure wear on the red carpet. I think that this gown is just blah. It is nothing that we haven't seen on a red carpet time and time again. I am going to hold out a slight hope (and I mean very slight) that Monica will give me something slightly more interesting to the red carpet. I don't picture Monica keeping the teal ribbon belt but I think that it would enhance the look. Paired with a black Dolce & Gabbana clutch, a pair of black Dolce & Gabbana pumps, a red lip, and flowing tresses will give a beautiful look for Monica to wear for the London premiere of "Spectre."
Rachel Weisz is not part of the cast, BUT she is married to Daniel Craig (AKA James Bond), so I am expecting that we will see her playing the plus one role at this premiere. Rachel has been making the film festival rounds lately promoting her latest films "The Lobster" and "Youth," and doing so in fine form wearing some of my favorite looks of hers ever. For this premiere I am predicting that Rachel will wear something that is elegant but not a statement (though for the "Skyfall" premiere she did wear Chanel Couture.) I think that this Vionnet Resort 2016 black and white asymmetrical gown is exactly what Rachel should wear for this premiere. It is sophisticated and statement making but also the perfect look for her to wear as the wife of the star of the movie. Keeping the belt, I would also add a black clutch, a pair of black sandals, a chic updo, and a red lip would endure that Rachel is perfectly dressed for this premiere.
This premiere is a royal premiere and I have read that Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to make an appearance with her husband Prince William. I have only recently been more intrigued by Catherine's style and I am hoping that she will wow me on the red carpet. I am not expecting the Princess to stop and pose for the cameras but I am hoping that she will give us something that photographs herself while she is walking in. This pastel tangerine Emilia Wickstead Spring 2016 RTW "Caroline" ball gown which features a scalloped neckline, an open back with camisole style straps, and a gathered, full skirt. This gown, designed by a British brand, is regal and elegant and I could totally picture the Duchess wearing this for some sort of official function, why not a royal movie premiere? Finish with a gold clutch, gold pumps, a pink lip, and hair worn up would ensure that Catherine has a perfect red carpet moment at this premiere.

Lea Seydoux's "Spectre" International Promo Tour Wish List

The promo tour for the latest installment of the James Bond "Spectre" is about to start and I gotta say that I don't think I could be more excited. French star Lea Seydoux is part of the cast of this film and I am extremely excited to see what she is going to wear. I would love to see Lea make this promo tour interesting not wearing something by Prada or Miu Miu the entire tour. While Lea always gets her hands on the best of the best of Prada and Miu Miu I would like to see a lot of diversity. This black and white floral printed 50's inspired Christian Dior Spring 2015 Couture dress made ultra modern via the side cutouts. Lea has been front row at a few of Raf Simons Dior Couture presentations but has never worn the brand out on a red carpet, and what better platform to wear this beautiful creation other than the "Spectre" promotional tour. Finish the look with a sleek bun, red lip, and a pair of silver Christian Louboutin sandals to ensure that Lea gives us modern glamour for one of her stops on the "Spectre" promo tour.
I hope that Lea Seydoux is going to give us classic Bond femme fatale at least once during the course of her "Spectre" promo tour. I would love if she did so wearing this black Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture gown that features the brands signature extreme sweetheart bustier and forest green pleated tiered satin detail on the side. I think that this would be a beautiful sexy moment for Lea to wear on the road promoting this movie. This is the look that one would stereotypically see on a Bond girl. This 40's-esque midi gown paired with a pair of black Prada sandals, old Hollywood waves, and a red lip will continue to keep Lea on top of this promo tour.
Finally for my "Spectre" international promo tour wish list is for something that one might not immediately think of when it comes to a James Bond promo tour. This iridescent Louis Vuitton Spring 2016 (another quick typo sorry guys sometimes little things like that fall through when I am editing LARGE groups of people) RTW ensemble, which consists of a sleeveless blouse and a skirt with a mini skirt with exaggerated hips, is a perfect look if Lea wants to give us a very modern futuristic type of a look to break up all of the high glamour looks that we are sure to see her wearing over the course of this promo tour. I would keep this look very simple with a pair of silver Prada sandals, neutral makeup, and sleek hair to ensure that this look is about the dress and not over styled.

#NYFF15: "The Lobster" Premiere Wish List

We are going to be seeing quite a bit of Lea Seydoux on the red carpet in the coming months. "The Lobster" is hitting almost all the major film festivals, and she is one of the femme fatale characters in the next Bond film "Spectre." For the New York Film Festival premiere of "The Lobster" I wold love to see Lea wear this white long sleeve Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture cocktail dress with its embellished chainmail-esque overlay. I think that this simple dress is elevated by the chainmail overlay making this look anything but basic. I would keep the styling very clean to keep with the air of the ensemble finishing the look off with a pair of white Christian Louboutin sandals, loose waves, and a light pink lip.
We might actually see a lot of Rachel Weisz on the red carpet over the next few months too for the same reasons as Lea; as Rachel's husband is "Spectre" star Daniel Craig.  NYFF is a more laid back film festival so you wouldn't expect to see stars showing up in show stopping gowns, stunning cocktail ensembles are the norm. With that in mind I picked this black and white asymmetric Antonio Berardi Resort 2016 cocktail dress that is rendered in a variegated striped print and features an asymmetric neckline with a single off the shoulder sleeve, a fitted bodice with a layered blazer design at one side, and a knee length sheath silhouette. The fitted silhouette would show off all of Rachel's stunning curves. Finish with a pair of Christian Loubotuin black sandals, a red lip, and a sleek updo and Rachel would be perfectly dressed for the NYFF red carpet.

#TIFF2015: "Trumbo" & "The Lobster" Premieres Wish List

Hi everyone! I am sorry yet again for neglecting the site. I have a bunch of stuff in drafts that is ready to be written but with my move of homes and then my move back to and starting my senior semester of college I have just been so busy that I haven't really had a chance to do any writing. I will keep on top of things for the rest of the year from here on out. Lots of big things coming up in the next few weeks and I am excited to be able to share my thoughts on them with you. The Toronto International Film Festival is one of these events and I am excited to see Elle Fanning is on the excepted stars to appear list for her film "Trumbo." Elle's style has been slowly growing on me, although she is still hit or miss I find myself liking more and more of her choices as she grows up. For this premiere I would love to see Elle wear this sweet Giambattista Valli Fall 2015 RTW floral organza ruffled cocktail dress which features a sheath silhouette with a ruffled mock neck, a floral lace appliqued bib, & flared cuffs. I think this 60s mod style dress is perfect for a 17 year old actress. Finished with a pair of pink pumps & pulled back hair this could be a hit for Elle's red carpet portfolio.
At 70 Helen Mirren still knows how to bring the sexy to the red carpet in a chic and sophisticated way. I am looking forward to seeing what her offerings at the Toronto International Film Festival will be. I picked this indigo Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2016 long sleeve fit and flare dress with a rounded neckline and ankle length hemline. I think that despite being so covered that this dress just exudes sophisticated sex appeal and Helen would make this look just as sultry as the model. A pair of black peep or pointed toe pumps and a pair of diamond cluster earring would ensure that Helen delivers on the "Trumbo" premiere red carpet.
Lea Seydoux is going to be a very busy woman on the promotional tours this fall. "The Lobster," which first premiered at Cannes in May, and "Spectre" are both going to have a lot of stops for the French actress. If anyone can handle the pressure of delivering good look after good look it is definitely going to be Lea. Mostly loyal to Prada and Miu Miu, I am hoping that Lea will step out in other designers as well. Recently if Lea hasn't worn Prada/Miu Miu she has been spotted out in Elie Saab. I am hoping that Lea chooses this tea length Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture embroidered and embellished sleeveless gown for the TIFF premiere of "The Lobster." I think that this elegant offering would look so chic on the French actress who has the grace and elegance to make this look 5x more chic that it was on the runway. A pair of gold Prada sandals and a pink lip would finish this sweet look off perfectly for Lea, who has the potential to win Best Promo Tour, Red Carpet Diva, & Best Brand Ambassador come the End of the Year Style Awards in December.
Rachel Weisz is another that is either hit or miss for me on the red carpet. Her photocall looks at Cannes were amazing but the looks that she picked for the red carpets were just a little lackluster. I would love to see Rachel wearing this dusty rose Balenciaga Resort 2016 strapless midi cocktail dress with flocked detail on the bodice. This simple silhouette is perfect for a red carpet look for Rachel as she is one who doesn't like a fussy red carpet ensemble. Finished with a pair of simple silver sandals, a pair of cluster diamond earrings and a chic updo and Rachel will slay the TIFF red carpet.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook during the 2015 Venice Film Festival, which runs from September 2 to September 12, to keep on top of all the looks that come down the red carpet.

#Cannes2015: "The Lobster" Premiere Wish List

I don't think that the Cannes Film Festival would be complete without at least one appearance by French actress Lea Seydoux. On Friday May 15, Lea will take to the festival to promote her latest film "The Lobster." I am honestly waiting with bated breath to see what Lea will be bringing to the red carpet. For the photocall during the day I would love to see Lea wear this bubblegum pink Prada Fall 2015 RTW with red lapel details and an aqua blue top. As a brand ambassador for Prada, Lea is one of the few ladies that has a near perfect track record when it comes to the brand on the red carpet. I expected that one, if not both of Lea's looks during the Cannes Film Festival will come from Prada. Finish off the photocall ensemble with chic waves, a red lip and a pair of red pumps to ensure that the look checks all the boxes. For the premiere I am predicting that Lea will wear a custom Prada gown but if I had to pick a runway look for her to wear on the red carpet it would definitely be this Elie Saab Spring 2015 Couture nude ball gown. This floral beaded ball gown would look so elegant on Lea who would work this with great aplomb.  A chic low bun, simple earrings, a gold clutch, and a pair off gold sandals would ensure that Lea continues her sophisticated Cannes red carpet run.
"The Lobster" is one of two films that Rachel Weisz is going to be promoting during this years Cannes Film Festival. I was heavily disappointed in the Chanel Couture dress that Rachel wore to the Met Gala this past Monday and I am hoping that we will see her red carpet mojo return quickly for Cannes. I would like to see Rachel try Chanel Couture again for Cannes via this electric blue Chanel Spring 2015 Couture tea length dress which I think would be perfection for a photocall. I would even like to see Rachel wear a modified version of the floral bolero that the dress was paired with on the runway. While I would figure that Rachel would quickly step into a pair of black pumps to finish this look off, I would recommend that she wear a pair of very simple almost naked Saint Laurent "Jane" sandals in black to make sure that she keeps this look breezy for the French riviera. A red lip and simple hair would ensure that Rachel redeems herself from that ugly Met Ball dress. For the premiere I am praying that she will blow me away. I am praying that someone picks up this white Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture strapless goddess gown emblazoned with purple floral details. I think that Rachel would look amazing in this gown and that it would be a perfect look for a Cannes Film Festival premiere. A simple pair of diamond earrings, chic waves, and a pair of silver sandals would ensure that Rachel kills her first premiere during the festival.

Best Dressed at the 2015 BAFTA Awards

Yesterday was a MAJOR day on the red carpets. It started in London with the BAFTA Awards. I was disappointed that Emma Stone didn't attend but I have to say that there was an amazing red carpet none the less, but there were only four real stand out looks for me. When Lea Seydoux stepped out on the red carpet in her custom saffron yellow Prada chiffon gown, I was taken aback. Lea was my Best Brand Ambassador for Prada last year and this gown just shows why. Lea is the only woman who has a 100% success rate with Prada looks on the red carpet and this look gave me a stunning red carpet summery look in the dead of the British winter.
Julianne Moore broke her red carpet run of wearing Givenchy Couture for major red carpets by wearing a custom Tom Ford red gown with a velvet top and a silk skirt. I totally called this as Julianne and Tom attended pre-BAFTA parties the night before. This is how a 54 year brings the sexy to the red carpet. A redhead in red is a winning combination. Julianne has been picking the winning colors for the red carpets so I am excited to see her wear even more bold colors on the red carpets still to come this awards season. Gugu Mbatha-Raw is still becoming one of my favorites on the red carpet. I loved her soft lavender custom Prada gown (yesterday was a real winning day for Prada on the red carpet). I don't see any other woman making this gown look as beautiful as Gugu does. There was some debate about who Amy Adams wore to the BAFTAs yesterday. I have to say that this amazing custom Lanvin white gown with an embellished waist and tassel belt. This was chic yet impactful. I love that she let the waist do all the talking.

2014 End of the Year Awards: Best Brand Ambassador

French Actress Lea Seydoux has won the Best Brand Ambassador award for her paring with Muccia Prada and all of the stunning custom Prada and Miu Miu creations that she has worn this year. Be it a custom gown, a commercial photo call ensemble, or something that came off of the runway Lea has won my heart being one of the few people who ALWAYS hits a home run wearing Prada. She makes the perfect muse for the Italian brand. With her role as a femme fatale in "Bond 24" and two other films premiering in 2015, I am sure that we will see a lot more of Mrs Seydoux on the red carpet and lots more custom Prada/Miu Miu looks from her in the coming year.

2014 AFI Fest: "Saint Laurent" Premiere Wish List

The 2014 AFI Fest seems to be a reincarnation of the Cannes Film Festival all over again but in LA. Seven of the major films that are premiering at the Fest got their first red carpet at the renowned French film festival. Lea Seydoux's "Saint Laurent" was one of these films. Back then I thought for sure that the 29 year old French beauty would have worn a custom Saint Laurent creation for either the photocall or premiere but she shocked me, albeit only a little, by wearing custom Prada for both events in Cannes. I figure that she will once again be loyal to Muccia Prada at the AFI Fest premiere of the film next Tuesday and I think that this black silk ruffled crop top and pencil skirt of clashing prints from the Miu Miu Spring 2015 RTW collection would look stunning on Lea at this premiere. I mean they would look stunning on her anywhere but I think that the mix of classic, youthfulness, and edge are exactly what Lea needs for this red carpet. A pair of Prada or Miu Miu pumps dyed to match the blue in the skirt, hair worn down but pulled back to show the neck, and a red lip will just continue to elevate this into a perfect red carpet ensemble.

2014 New York Film Festival: "Saint Laurent" Premiere Wish List

French beauty Lea Seydoux will take to the red carpet at the 2014 New York Film Festival to premiere her film "Saint Laurent" on Tuesday September 30th. The actress has stayed loyal so far thus year to Muccia Prada by only wearing Miu Miu and Prada on the red carpet. I would have expected her to break away and wear some custom Saint Laurent as the film is a biopic on the life and times of the houses late founder. Despite that I figure that Lea will wear yet another Muccia Prada designed frock for the films NYFF premiere. I saw the Miu Miu Resort 2015 collection and loved the idea of layering dresses which was done very chicly within this presentation but none of the full looks would I have picked for Lea to wear. So naturally what would I do? Pick two dresses from the collection that I would layer to give Lea the perfect red carpet look. I would put the flowing navy chiffon dress featured all the way right under the embellished suede shift dress to give a monochromatic statement that reads totally of the 1960's when the Saint Laurent house was founded. I would finish the look off with a silver box clutch, a chic up do, a bold red lip, and a pair of navy sandals to ensure that Lea gives perfect face on the NYFF red carpet.

Runway Report: Alexis Mabille Fall 2014 Couture

Alexis Mabille is always a light spot on the day. You know exactly what you are going to get when you see his collection. Classic glamour. This season was no different. Luxurious gowns, a couple structured cocktail dresses, and perfectly tailored separates made this the ultimate collection. But to be honest all of the staples of a great wardrobe were addressed in this collection and it would be the ultimate couture closet.

2014 Cannes Film Festival: 'Saint Laurent' Premiere Wish List

Lea Seydoux will be in Cannes this year to premiere her Yves Saint Laurent biopic 'Saint Laurent' in competition on May 17th. As a face of Prada and Miu Miu there has only been one look not from the brand worn by Lea on the red carpet. I am hoping though that Lea will wear Saint Laurent for this premiere. I saw this stunning red Saint Laurent Fall 2014 RTW sequin cocktail dress and thought how it would make the perfect gown for a Cannes premiere if lengthened into a circle skirt. This would be the perfect mix of the classic and modern Saint Laurent brand and a bold statement for the Cannes red carpet instead of classic. A sleek up-do, red lips, no clutch, simple Saint Laurent 'Janis' sandals in black, and simple sleek diamond jewels would make this look 1,000% perfect for Cannes.
In total opposite of what I want to see Lea wear on this red carpet is the golden Alexis Mabille Spring 2014 Couture goddess draped gown that I want to see Jeon Do-Yeon. I figure that Jeon will end up being my stand out star on the 2014 Cannes Film Festival jury and I really hope that I am right. I know I have said it before but coming off stars like Kate Beckinsale, Diane Kruger, and Uma Thurman, I am weary of this years red carpets. Those three ladies all gave me looks that I put on my Best Dressed of the Year list and the likes of Nicole Kidman came very close. Well enough rant back to the clothes! I think that this golden gown would be would be pretty on Jeon with its classic silhouette and simple embellishments. A gold clutch, gold sandals, and simple jewels would all compliment this gown perfectly for this red carpet.
