2016 Golden Globe Awards: Roundup Red Carpet Wish List

Since tomorrow are the Golden Globe Awards are tomorrow night I am starting to get really excited. It was announced last night that the beautiful Kate Bosworth will be one of the presenters tomorrow and I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to see what she is going to wear on her first Golden Globes red carpet. I have decided to pick a beautiful vintage inspired moment with this icy blue Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2016 satin a-line ball gown which reminds me of something that Grace Kelly would have worn in her hay-day. Kate has a vintage glamour about her and I know that she would add all of the perfect touches to make this a totally classic glam look. A pair of diamond cluster earrings, a Grace Kelly inspired up-so, a pink lip, a diamond necklace, a silver clutch, and a pair of silver Christian Louboutin pumps would be the way to win my heart with this look.
Katy Perry is going to be one of the presenters tomorrow night at the Golden Globe Awards and she might be one that I have the least amount of interest in seeing. I have no idea why she is going to be there. She is not in any of the nominated film or television shows or is not part of any of the nominated songs. Anyway Katy hasn't given me a look to love in a very long time so I am not holding out hope that it will be any different tomorrow. I would however be pleasantly pleased if Katy wore this emerald green Alexis Mabille Fall 2015 Couture corseted gown which features a beaded crisscross sweetheart neckline which then drapes into a beautiful cowel down the back. I would keep the air of Dita Von Teese (who modeled the gown for the lookbook) and go with retro glam hair, a red lip, and a pair of gold pumps to keep this look perfect for a Hollywood red carpet.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet and I am hoping that since her partner Jason Statham is going to be presenting tomorrow night. Rosie has a feminine model meets Hollywood style which makes for her being able to hang with the Hollywood crowd and the fashion crowd. I picked this Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2016 RTW lavender and black strapless evening gown because it is chic and elegant but also very modern. I don't think that Rosie has ever worn Bibhu before but what better platform to try it out than the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. The perfect finishing touches to this look would be old Hollywood waves, a pink lip, a black Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of black sandals. This look would make for a perfect plus one look.
Sophia Bush usually nails her ultra feminine red carpet looks so I am intrigued to see what the Chicago P.D. star is going to wear on the red carpet tomorrow night at the Golden Globe Awards where she is going to be a presenter. My favorite looks from Sophia are usually the looks where she is paired up with Monique Lhuillier, so I picked this red silk faille draped peplum bodice and coral floral embroidered column skirt from the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 RTW collection for her to wear for the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. I have been waiting to see this gown on the red carpet and I think that we are very likely to see it on the Globes red carpet and I think that Sophia is a great choice to wear it. Finished with a red clutch, a pair of red sandals, a chic updo, diamond drop earrings, and dewy makeup this look would be finished off perfectly for this red carpet.

I will be live tweeting the Golden Globe Awards red carpet with my partner in snark Kelly from Dream In Lace on Sunday January 8, 2016 starting a 6pm. Make sure you check out Kelly's blog and then follow us both (@DreamInLace and @FutureStylist93) on Twitter. Join in on the snark and the fashion of the first major awards show of the year!

Top 10 Looks from the 2015 Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards took place in LA last night and more celebs to the the red carpet and killed it. I will say that before I begin there was almost NO color on this red carpet. There are only two looks on this list that had color. I was slightly disappointed in that but I will say the stars worked monochromatic looks with great abandon. Topping my Best Dressed list is Taylor Swift. The now Pop Princess really took her red carpet style to another level in her custom Elie Saab turquoise sleeveless ball gown with a mini skirt cutaway. Listing these elements this look should have been a total looser but somehow Taylor makes it all work. The aqua earrings and fuchsia sandals just kept this look youthful fresh and modern. This is the kinda statement that I love to see on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards.
Gwen Stefani wore two looks from Atelier Versace last night. With my thirst for color needing to be quenched I picked her stunning red performance gown to be the runner up to Taylor. Her red carpet jumpsuit was amazing (though lacking a bold lipstick), this was the statement that I figured that Gwen would make for the Grammy Awards. For someone not nominated or performing I have to say that Rita Ora really dazzled me in her sparkling custom Prada silver long sleeve pailette covered gown. The human disco ball as she is being called really gave me thirst for a true diva moment on the Grammy carpet. When Rihanna showed up at the Grammy Awards last night her Giambattista Valli Couture ball gown the internet immediately started calling her a couture cupcake or a sugary pink loofah, and I have to agree. I did not like that gown, but when she changed into her black oversized Maison Marigela Spring 2015 Couture double breasted tuxedo that she paired with a dazzling Chopard diamond necklace. This was a chic look. I wanted Rihanna to stray away from this look but I loved this more than her left field ball gown.
I think my biggest shock of the night was how much I loved Nicki Minaj in her custom Tom Ford black gown with its deep plunging neck and beaded fringe skirt. Nicki has been toning down her red carpet style and I have to say that I am loving what she is putting down. Jessie J brought the sheer drama to the red carpet in her Ralph & Russo Fall 2014 Couture gown. I was happy that Jessie paired this gown with black panties instead of the nude ones that the gown was presented with. I got alien queen realness from Jessie. I was happy to see her represent her homeland wearing a British designer, and she did them proud. For her moving performance during the Grammy telecast Katy Perry let the stage be all about her voice wearing an off white Valentino Couture gown from the collection presented to honor the reopening of the NYC Flagship store. I loved how simple Katy kept this look, especially since she showed up on the red carpet in a beaded Zuhair Murad cocktail dress and a Purple wig.
And the last set of ladies were more of the black and white showing that they could be anything but basic. I was not a fan of Lady Gaga on the Grammy Carpet but for her performance with Tony Bennett and the awards photocall I loved the black beaded and feather embellished Brandon Maxwell strapless gown with a Jessica Rabbit v-neck was just lovely. It gave the perfect air for the type of music that Gaga and Bennett have been producing and performing lately. I think the toned down Gaga was exactly what I was expecting to see at the Grammy Awards and she more than delivered for me. The other Tom Ford look on the Grammy red carpet was from Jennifer Hudson. Her minimalistic perfectly tailored strapless white cocktail dress could have been very snooze worthy but thanks to the precision tailoring and expert styling this sang a sultry song on the Grammy Awards red carpet. And last but not least I have to give Anna Kendrick some real credit for totally stepping out of her princess gown and mini dress comfort zone and rocking a perfectly tailored Band of Outsiders tuxedo. Keeping the styling minimal let this amazing look shine, and leaving me wanting more from Anna.

Super Bowl XLIX Pepsi Half-Time Show Break-Down

Katy Perry was the feature performer last night at the Super Bowl XLIX Pepsi Half-Time show. I will say that I had very little in way of hopes of what Katy was going to bring. I was not a huge fan of the performance itself. Katy was saved buy some awesome staging and amazing guest Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. If it had not been for these things I think I might have fallen asleep during this performance. Now on to fashion. Katy wore four very different looks custom designed for her by Jeremy Scott. Katy strolled into the arena on the back on a robotic tiger wearing a hot wheels flame top skirt to perform "Roar", "Dark Horse", and "I Kissed A Girl" (with Kravitz). Everyone that I watched the show with joked that Katy was trying to be Katniss, especially when she was performing with Kravitz (who plays Cinna in the "Hunger Games" franchise." Then to perform "Teenage Dream" and "California Girls," Katy quick changed into a beach ball inspired bralet and circle skirt. For the hip hop portion of the night, which really was Katy trying to hip hop dance to Missy Elliott, wearing a 49 jersey hoodie dress. The only thing I really really liked was the finale silver one shoulder star embellished gown that Katy wore to fly around the arena to perform "Firework." It was glamorous and impactful, something that Katy hasn't been in a very long time.

2014 End of the Year Awards: Worst Looks of the Year

With all the amazing looks this year there were still A LOT of dud looks. Be they on the sidewalk, at the airport, awards shows, film festivals, premieres, or front rows some of the biggest names in fashion have landed themselves on my Worst Looks of the Year list? Who do you agree with? Anyone you don't? Anyone you think should be on the list that isn't? Think anyone just had an off day and might be on the Best Dressed of the Year list too?

2014 Grammy Awards: Nominee Wish List Part 1

Sunday night will bring us another big awards show red carpet, and quite possibly the funnest one of the season, The Grammy's. Alicia Keys has one nomination at this years Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album for 'Girl on Fire.' I will say at the end of 2013 Alicia worked the stage, performing at several different events, in designers like Armani Prive and Manning Cartel and I am hoping that she will keep up the fantastic looks come Sunday. While a new Alexandre Vauthier collection was released today I think that Alicia should wear this edgy Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2013 Couture halter neck mono-chromatic ensemble. I think what makes me love this look for Alicia is the mix of classic and uber sexy, which is exactly what works for her. Finish the look with a pair of gold Christian Louboutin sandals and some simple jewelry and this will make for the perfect Grammy look.
Last year Beyonce might not have taken to the red carpet a lot but showed her amazing sense of style through her performance ensembles while on her Mrs. Carter World Tour and ultimately won my Entertainer of the Year award. Sunday night Beyonce is nominated as the featured artist on her hubby Jay-Z's Best Rap/Sung Collaboration or 'Part II (On the Run)' and I am praying for a stunning red carpet ensemble. I am turning to one of the brands that Bey wore quite a bit while on tour, Emilio Pucci. This body hugging white Emilio Pucci Spring 2014 RTW long sleeved gown features quite a bit of skin for a gown which is so covered up and I think that it would look absolutely fantastic on Beyonce. Add a white and gold Edie Parker clutch and a pair of Christian Louboutin gold sandals to complete this look and give Beyonce a best dressed list worth ensemble.
While Amy Adams gave us our first peak into the Valentino Shanghai Collection 2013 on the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, I am hoping that we will see Grammy nominee Florence Welch also pluck a gown from this collection. Florence Welch is nominated in collaboration with Calvin Harris for a Best Dance Song Grammy for their hit 'Sweet Nothing.' I am hoping to see the indie rock diva wear this red and maroon Valentino Shanghai Collection 2013 long sleeved collard gown. This is something that I can see Flo really going for on a red carpet, it's floaty and very vintage looking. With her red hair pulled up and a pair of red sandals on her feet a red lip will be all that I wish for to complete this ensemble for the Grammy Awards red carpet.
I have not loved a Katy Perry look in a very long time. Last year Katy ditched the quirky persona that made me fall in love with her in favor of much more sophisticated looks. If sophisticated is the route that Katy is going to go then I would like to see the the Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance nominee for 'Roar' wear this white Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 Couture rise and fall strapless gown. The Spring 2014 Collection for Giambattista Valli was presented yesterday in Paris but I am still holding out a little bit of hope that this gown will get a red carpet appearance and I think the new Katy is the girl to do it. Finish the look with a strappy pair of silver sandals and some statement diamond earrings in her ears and Katy will make a big sophisticated statement.
And finally for today we have Best Song Written for Visual Media ('Young & Beautiful' from 'The Great Gatsby') and Best Pop Vocal Album (Paradise) nominee Lana Del Rey. I am usually very indifferent to anything Lana Del Rey does. She usually fails to elicit any excitement from me in either her music or fashion so I really don't follow her work. With that said I do not expect much from her at the Grammy's but in the slight hope that she might surprise me I think that this black, white, and ivory Antonio Berardi Spring 2014 RTW gown would actually look really stunning on Lana. Lana is a British star who tends to rock British brands and one of the ultimate's right now is Antonio Berardi. Finish this look with a black clutch and a pair of black sandals and Lana will shock me with a great look at the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday night.

2014 Peoples Choice Awards Wish List Part 2

The 'Big Bang Theory' star Kaley Cuoco is nominated for Favorite TV Comedic Actress at the 2014 Peoples Choice Awards. I will say that when it comes to her red carpet style I am not always a fan of Kaley, but when she gets it right she gets it oh so right. At the 2013 Emmy Awards Mrs Cuoco stepped out in a deep red Vera Wang ballgown and I about died because it was the best she has ever looked. For this years PCA's I would love to see Kaley wear this lavender Georges Hobeika Spring 2014 RTW tutu cocktail dress. This is a very pretty dress that would look stunning on Kaley while giving her a classy ensemble. A pair of silver Giuseppe Zanotti satin peep toe platform pump are what she would normally pick, even though I would much prefer her to wear the runways matching sandals, and some very simple jewelry would complete this look.
Katy Perry garnered 5 Peoples Choice Awards Nominations this year including: Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Song (Roar), Favorite Music Video (Roar), and Favorite Music Fan Following. In the past year we have really seen a shift in what Katy wears for her public appearances. Gone are the days when she wore really fun or shocking ensembles and in are the more sophisticated and mature looks that were far and few between in the old Katy. With so many nominations this year it would surprise me if Katy didn't attend, if not perform, the 2014 Peoples Choice Awards and I think that this pink and brown Cynthia Rowley Spring 2014 RTW full skirted cocktail dress is the perfect look for her to work for the red carpet. I won't give up on that classic 'Katy Quirk' that made me fall in love with her in the first place by pairing this dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin 'Vampanodo' sandals which feature a pink bow on the back of the heel. Finish the look with some simple jewels, a simple hairstyle and makeup, and then Katy will make the Best Dressed lists for this event.
Lea Michele is nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actress at the 2014 Peoples Choice Awards. After the death of fiance Cory Monteith, Lea hasn't really been seen on the red carpet any were but with the release of her solo album and her nomination I am hoping that we will see Lea on the red carpet on January 8th. Lea is one of the few stars that are set to attend that I could actually see snagging a couture look for this event and this blue and white Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 Couture mini dress is absolutely perfect for the 27 year old star of stage and screen. This is a fun flirty look that would not be too stiff or over the top for this type of an event. A pair of blue Jimmy Choo sandals and more simple jewels to just let the dress and Lea's diva-tude make this look sing.
This looks like it might again be the year of Sandra Bullock and with 5 nominations at the Peoples Choice Awards, including Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Movie Duo (2 nominations in this category one for 'Gravity' with George Clooney and one for 'The Heat' with Melissa McCarthy), Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress, and Favorite Comedic Movie Actress it looks like it might start with a few awards given to her from her fans. Not one to love dressing up for the red carpet I can see Mrs Sandra year this strapless fitted Christian Dior Spring 2014 RTW broken glass print cocktail dress. I would remove the hard houndstooth patch on the chest and finish the look with a pair of black leather peep toe Christian Louboutin pumps to keep the look simple.

'The Smurfs 2' LA Premiere Wish List

The 'Smurfs 2' will undoubtedly have a star studded blue carpet at the Regency Village Theater in Hollywood, California on July 28th and I am sure that we will see quite a few blue looks on the red carpet. This wish list will consist of blue looks for all of the stars though I do believe that not everyone will show up in blue. For this premiere I would love to see Christina Ricci, who plays Vexy one of the blue smurfs, wear this amazing just presented Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture cocktail dress. I think that this is a fun flirty look even though it is a couture creation. I believe that this dress would fit in perfectly at the animated/live action red carpet premiere. I would just pair this dress with the blue satin runway shoes and maybe some simple diamond earrings and Christina will rock the red carpet at her big Hollywood premiere.
'Glee' actress Jayma Mays has been, sadly, missing from the red carpet this year. I love to see her take to the red carpet as she has a cute sense of red carpet dressing that varies from appearance to appearance, she can go from sexy vampiress in Alberta Ferretti one week to peachy goddess in Jenny Packham in another. For this premiere I have chosen to put Jayma in this classic shaped Erin Fetherson Fall 2013 RTW silk jacquard dress. I think that for a 'Smurfs' animated feature (even though Jayma's character Grace is one of the live action characters) that this dress is appropriate for Jayma without going too over the top. A simple blur Edie Parker clutch and a pair of gunmetal grey Jimmy Choo sandals will have Jayma back on the worlds Best Dressed lists.
And finally we have a wish for Katy Perry. The quirky star has already been busy promoting this film when the film held events during the 5th Annual Summer of Sony event held in Cancun, Mexico wearing brands like Monique Lhuillier, Dolce & Gabbana, and Zimmerman. Katy plays 'Smurfette' and when the first film premiered Katy took to the red carpet in a custom bustier mini dress by The Blonds with her characters face bedazzled onto the bodice. While I think that Katy will not play to the gimmicks this year I still think that there will be a quirky blue factor which is why I have chosen to put Katy in this blue and white Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 Couture cocktail mini dress. I think that it has been way to long since Katy has really brought a major quirky red carpet moment, lately opting for much more demure gown up looks, but this is the place for this cute youthful cocktail dress. Pair this dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin blue sandals and Katy will look absolutely amazing while taking to the red carpet at this July 28th Hollywood grand premiere.

2013 Kids Choice Awards Wish List Part 1

If Jennifer Lawrence attends the 2013 Kids Choice Awards it will be the first time we will see the star after her big night at the Academy Awards. I do not think the star will venture off her Dior path for this event but she should pick one of the shorter, funkier, more fun options that are available as the event is hosted by Nickelodeon. I think that this color blocked printed option from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 RTW collection would be the perfect choice for Jennifer for this event. It is a fun youthful look that the star would thrive in. A sleek pony tail and a pair of black peep toe pumps would be the perfect conclusions for this look for this event.
Katy Perry has been wearing a lot more demure type of look lately. Towards the end of 2012 the pop star known for her quirks finally ditched the candy colored hair and went back to black which suits her much more but I miss the quirk that she always brought to the red carpet. For this years Kids Choice Awards I think that this sherbert and coral House of Holland Fall 2013 RTW sheath dress with a psychedelic print would be an amazing option for Katy. This dress seems to be the new take on Katy's quirky style with a much more demure approach. I would change the belt to a wide gold metallic and add a pair of gold sandals to finish off this demure ensemble with a twist.
I'm hoping that the major cut that happened to Kirsten Stewart's foot that had her hobbling on crutches in her Reem Acra gown at this years Academy Awards will have healed enough to the point where Kristen will enjoy this years Kids Choice Awards because it may be her last for a while. The former 'Twilight Saga' star is up for an award for the series and might take the blimp home for the last installment in the series. I think for this occasion that Kristen should wear this black and white Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2013 dress. I think that this would look amazing on Kristen. She should wear her hair down in flowing old Hollywood waves and pair this look with black Christian Louboutin spike and crystal embellished peep toe pumps. Add a red lip and Kristen will wow for the first time this year.

2013 Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Party Wish List Part 1

Dita Von Teese is an Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Viewing Gala regular wearing a variety of styles from cocktail to evening and structured to ethereal. For this years event if she is to attend I would love to the the burlesque bombshell wear this cornflower blue and black Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture gown with an asymmetrical neck and side peplum. I think that even with Dita's small frame that this dress would be perfect for her and she is among the few that could pull it off. Finish this look with silver Christian Louboutin crystal pumps and some stunning Chopard jewelry and Dita has the power to make it onto the best dressed at the Oscar parties list.
Hayden Panettiere is another frequent guest of the EJAF Oscar Viewing Gala and for this years event if she so chooses to attend again I would like to see her wear some color. For many of her recent red carpet appearances she has worn cream, nude, or blush colored looks and I am ready to see her bust out the color on the red carpet again. I would have her do so via this amazing blood orange Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 RTW draped gown. I think that this elegant creation would be amazingly chic and a bold choice for the 'Nashville' star. Finish the look with gold peep toe pumps and a gold crystal embellished clutch.
Heidi Klum always attends the EJAF gala and is a huge AIDS research activist working to promote research not only through the Elton John Foundation but amFAR as well. This year Heidi is a co-chair of the event which means that we are bound to see the star attend the event. I think that this black Atelier Versace Spring 2013 Couture gown with cutouts and neon yellow and red accents would be an amazing choice for the supermodel. Over the last year Heidi has has quite a few questionable choices and only as of recent has she have a few red carpet successes. Finish this look with a pair of strappy Jimmy Choo sandals and slicked back hair and Heidi has the tools to help her to keep redeeming herself on the red carpet.
Katy Perry is another member of the board of co-chairs for this event. I have been missing quirky Katy on the red carpet since she has gone back to her black hair. I think that this pink Alexis Mabille Spring 2013 Couture would bring her back to out graces. This dress is elegant and romantic with its soft chiffon layers, sexy with the bustier bodice and the quirk comes via the bow details on the shoulders. Obviously Katy would have to opt for a tight high bun hair style, simple makeup, minimal jewels, and some pink Christian Louboutin sandals to make this look work for her
Miley Cyrus is another co-chair of this event hence why I am actually doing a wish list for her. I think that this black Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013 sheer and embellished gown would be perfect. She has wanted to do edgy and now with her new hair style she is actually able to do it and pull it off of course for me she will always be Hannah Montana as she has still to grow out of looking like her. Simple black accessories including Christian Louboutin Bisou un Bout pumps and a black clutch and extremely simple jewelry and she may convince me to give her a spot on the best dressed list.

2013 Grammy Awards: Nominees Wish List

Carrie Underwood has not wowed me on the red carpet in a long time and I do not think that this teal Georges Hobeika Spring 2013 Couture gown would wow me but I think that this something that would look amazing on Carrie and not be the same think that she always wears. She should finish this look with a silver Judith Leiber bag, silver sandals, and some simple jewelry to complete this looks for the country superstar.
Since this hot pink Gucci Spring 2013 RTW gown walked the runway in Milan back in September I have been waiting for Florence Welch to wear it and I think that the 2013 Grammy Awards would be the perfect platform for the eclectic songstress to wear this stunning creation. I love everything about this dress, from the shoulders to the color to the shape and the sleek and sexy modesty. Finish this off with a sleek pulled back updo and some silver gold sandals and absolutely nothing else as the dress is powerful enough on its own and any other accessories would over whelm the look.
I have never been a fan of Kelly Clarkson on the red carpet she is always alright but they are ok. I think that this black and white Pamella Roland Spring 2013 RTW one shouldered gown is something that is a stereotypically Kelly red carpet dress so it really is a safe option for me to go with as my wish for her to wear. Add a black clutch, black pumps, and some simple jewels to finish this look off.
Katy Perry kicked the crazy colored hair at the end of last year and started giving us demure looks that really should be saves for the likes of Emmy Rossum, Camilla Belle, and Kristen Bell who's job is to just show us and look elegant and glamorous. Katy should stick to the quirky looks that she has always favored in the past which is why I have picked this black Georges Chakra Spring 2013 Couture gown with a sheer beaded side panel and a hot pink lined side cape. This is a demure but quirky look and think that it would look amazing on Katy. Pair this look with some hot pink sandals and a sleek tight pony tail and I think this would be a winning look for Katy.
I am still shocked that more of the Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Couture collection has not been worn. For the 2013 Grammy Awards where Rihanna is not only nominated but also performing I would love to see her wear this green classic Versace print strapless gown from the Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Couture collection. This gown is such a Rihanna gown that I have a hard time picturing anyone else wearing this creation. Finish this look with a simple pair of gold sandals and RiRi's attitude and let the gown speak for itself.
If we can trust anyone to bring a regal glamour to the red carpet at the 2013 Grammy awards it has to be Taylor Swift. This white Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown is the gown that the fashion industry is all begging to see on the red carpet ASAP and if it is not worn at the Grammy's then it will be at the following BAFTA or Academy Awards. I think that this would look amazing on Taylor as I love her in white and I think that this white column gown paired with the matching runway cape would be perfect for her for the red carpet.

2012 MTV Video Music Awards: Katy Perry

There are only a few words that can describe Katy Perry; talented, sexy, and quirky are the ones that come to mind right away for me. I think that this yellow and fuchsia Mary Katrantzou Fall 2012 patterned dress. I love that Mary creates all these prints and patterns all on her own using unexpected items. I can not tell from the far away image what it is that created the patterns in this look but I am sure they are not what you would expect. Katy can pull off some of the edgiest looks that walk the runway and I think that this is one of them. Pair this with just a pair of hot pink strappy sandals and her quirky purple sleek bob and this look is something perfect for Katy for the VMA's.

Haute Couture Wish List: Alexis Mabile

Alexis Mabille is a Parisian Haute Couture designer that does not see enough love on the red carpet. Over the past few years he has not had many red carpet outings but when he does they are usually really big starts like Keira Knightley and Dita von Teese (who both wore the SAME cocktail dress from the designers Fall 2008 Couture collection.) He has had many other celebrities such as Zoe Saldana, Julie Benz, and Ashley Greene all don his designs. I would love to see Kate Beckinsale discover Alexis as I think that this baroque Asian inspired black sequined cocktail dress would look sultry and sexy on the elegant and sexy star.
Katy Perry made a red carpet appearance earlier this year at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party wearing a hot off the runway Alexis Mabille Spring 2012 Couture gown paired with the matching runway flower fascinator. After that appearance I would love to see Katy wear this gunmetal and pale yellow gown from the designers Fall 2012 Couture collection (if she doesn't I sure hope Dita picks this up!)
Keira Knightley is the woman who gave light to Alexis back in 2008 at the London premiere of her film 'The Duchess.' Since that outing Keira has not worn the designer again and I do not understand why because back then she looked amazing in the dress and I think that if you find a brand you look good in you continue to go back to that designer, unless that brands ascetic changes. And although some things have changed it has been nothing major. I would love to see Keira wear this blue embellished Fall 2012 Couture gown with long sleeves and a v cut scoop neckline and long sleeves accented with a black shoulder bow. I think that this would look amazing on Keira who has the power to make this almost stuffy looking gown look absolutely effortless.
And last but not least we have Rihanna. I think that this long sleeved turtle neck gown with white piping detail is something that the singer/actress would gravitate towards for an event much like the American Music Awards or the Grammy's. I think that this a sophisticated bad ass chick written all over it, which is exactly the look that RiRi tends to show nowadays.
