Runway Report: Vera Wang Fall 2016 RTW

My interest in Vera Wang's runway shows vary from season to season and I am actually surprised that I liked two collections in a row. Vera has never had back to back red carpet collection that I am interested in and she finally did. Her fall 2016 RTW collection had a mix of vibes. It started with strong military and menswear structured vibes and ended with the more signature sequin slip gowns that closed the show. I love how despite these ideas being contradictions that they seemed to ebb and flow with each other quite well. I am intrigued to see if this collection will make some big red carpet appearances. I can picture the likes of Zendaya, Naomi Watts, Charlize Theron, Rihanna, Serayah, Ciara, Rita Ora, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Charlize Theron rocking this collection on the red carpet. My favorite look, and one that I really want to see on the red carpet is an army green one shoulder crop top over a brown sweater, and pleated evening skirt. I would love to see this on a red carpet but without the sweater on Ciara or Zendaya.

2016 People's Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 1

The People's Choice Awards is the second awards show of 2016 setting off on January 6, 2016. The dress at People's Choice is usually all over the place with looks ranging from jeans and t-shirts to evening gowns and off the rack purchases to haute couture, so it makes for a fun evening seeing all the different types of looks that grace the red carpet. ABC's Blood and Oil's Amber Valetta is one of the confirmed stars to take to the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards. I was really excited to find out that Amber was transitioning from modeling into TV and was hoping that would mean some amazing red carpet moments, that hasn't happened as of yet but I am always hopeful that it will turn around. With Balmain being everywhere & getting more and more tacky by each new collection I am almost fatigued but this almost sexy tuxedo inspired ensemble from the Balmain Spring 2016 RTW collection is one that I really want to see on a red carpet. I believe that with her supermodel presence that Amber would rock the hell out of this number on the red carpet, giving her a sultry sexy major moment to kick off 2016. Finished with a sleek hairstyle, a red lip, & black Christian Louboutin pumps & this look would make for a great kickoff to the People's Choice Awards red carpet.

Anna Kendrick is nominated at the 2016 People's Choice Awards for Best Comedic Actress thanks to her work in Pitch Perfect 2. Anna had a rather boring year on the red carpet in 2015 so I am hoping that she will make a come back in 2016. I picked this black Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2016 ensemble for Anna to wear for the People's Choice Awards because I think that this is a chic yet subtle and sophisticated way to start her getting back on her feet. Amp up the look with a pair of statement Jimmy Choo sandals and a pair of diamond studs to ensure that Anna kills the red carpet. 

One person who I am really excited to hopefully see on the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards next Wednesday is Blake Lively, who is nominated for Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress thanks to The Age of Adeline. I was not a fan of the actual movie but I love seeing Blake on the red carpet so I hope she steps out (especially since she hasn't been on a red carpet since promoting the movie earlier this year.) I would love to see Blake wear a version of this Gucci Spring 2016 RTW dress. I love this teal blue sequin dress with it's almost comic boom detailing. I think a shorter version with no rosette at the neck would make for a perfect look for Blake for this red carpet. Paired with a sleek pony tail, a pink lip, and a pair of silver Christian Louboutin pumps this look would be a major moment for Blake at the People's Choice Awards.

After killer promotional tours for Paper Towns and Pan I am really excited to see what Cara Delevinge will pop up in on the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards, if she attends. Cara is nominated for the The DailyMail.com Seriously Popular award and I could totally picture the supermodel, whom has a major fan base, winning this type of award. Some of my favorite looks from Cara have come thanks to Alexandre Vauthier and this gold sequined Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2016 RTW ensemble. This sexy ensemble is something that I could picture Cara snatching up and rocking on the red carpet of the People's Choice Awards. This look would be perfectly styled with a pair of gold Christian Louboutin sandals and hair worn in Cara's signature waves.

Charlize Theron is probably one of the women that I am most excited to see take to the red carpet during awards season. Charlize is one of my favorite actresses to see on the red carpet as she just exudes glamour. While she is contractually obligated to wear Dior on the red carpet at the big events, like the Golden Globes or the Oscars, I get excited to see what else she will bring to these types of events. At the People's Choice Awards Charlize is nominated for Favorite Action Movie Actress thanks to Mad Max: Fury Road, and I am really hoping that she will make an appearance. For this red carpet I think that this sexy Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2016 RTW asymmetrical cocktail dress which has a very borrowed from the boys type look. This dress is masculine and sexy which is something we have not seen from Charlize in a very long time. A pair of black Christian Louboutin sandals, a white Dior clutch, and a red lip would ensure that this look is sleek and sexy.

After 2015 I think Ciara is becoming like Leslie Mann or Heidi Klum and inserting herself on any red carpet that she can. At the 2016 People's Choice Awards Ciara will be on the red carpet as she is nominated for Favorite R&B Artist. I didn't even know Ciara had released new music so I guess it tells you how much I follow her. For this res carpet I would love to see Ciara in this black Vera Wang Spring 2016 RTW ensemble. I think that this crop top and feather embellished pencil skirt would make for a perfect look for Ciara. She has been wearing a lot of edgy black ensembles and this would probably take the cake on all of them. A pair of the red to black ombre Christian Louboutin "Hot Chick" pointed toe pumps, sleek slicked back hair, and a red lip would ensure that Ciara has a major all black moment on the red carpet at the People's Choice Awards.

Runway Report: Vera Wang Spring 2016 Bridal

Leave it to Vera Wang to show a bridal collection that goes totally to the left when everyone is showcasing tulle ball gowns. Sex and sensuality was the center of the Vera Wang Spring 2016 Bridal collection. What I love most about the Vera Wang collection is that stars take these creations and then have the white ones dyed for red carpet apperances. I have to say that I am quite excited to see who will get their paws on the black feather ball skirt and strapless bralet top, for the Met Ball perhaps? The bones of this collection will make for some stunning bridal moments for the lucky ladies who will get to wear these gowns on their big day.

2014 Golden Globe Awards: Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television Wish List

Hayden Panettiere has taken home a nomination for Best Supporting Actress on Television for the second year in a row for her role as Juliette Barnes on the hit ABC television series 'Nashville.' While she hasn't taken home the trophy she always dons a gown and attends the ceremony. I have a love hate relationship with Hayden's red carpet style. I am hoping that she blows me away on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards next Sunday, and this purple Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2014 gown with a deep-v would do just that. I think that this gown could make 5 foot tall Hayden look long and glamorous. Finish the look with a pair of gold Brian Atwood peep toe pumps a gold minaudiere, and some simple jewels will make for the perfect look for Hayden for the Golden Globes.

One person that I am really looking forward to seeing take to the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards is 'Modern Family' star and Best Supporting Actress on TV nominee Sofia Vergara. I love this juicy sultry Colombian sex bomb. Sofia really knows how to work her best assets on the red carpet and how to make them look sexy and glamorous at the same time on the red carpet. I am wishing for Sofia to go to her go to red carpet designer Vera Wang with this amazing watermelon pink Vera Wang Fall 2014 Bridal gown. The multi directional ruching, the mermaid hem, and the giant flower on the line where the flare begins are all things that Sofia will die for and work to her advantage on the red carpet. Keep the look simple with a pair of gold peep toe pumps and some very simple jewels will make this gown shine on Sofia for the Golden Globe Awards Sunday night.

2013 Kennedy Center Honors Wish List

I am so sorry to all of my followers that this post has come so late today but I have been very sick, but like they say in the theater 'the show must go on.' The 2013 Kennedy Center Honors will present this years production to Washington DC on December 8th and will be broadcast on CBS on December 29th. Caroline Kennedy, daughter of former president John F Kennedy, always provides the opening and closing remarks at the event. She has done so wearing some fabulous brands like Rochas and Michael Kors. This year I would love to see her wear this amazing Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 blue, black, and white gown with some red details. This dress is so beautiful and I can just see Caroline wearing it as the dramatic wall of honorees names rises and she comes forward to the plexiglass podium to deliver what she has to say.

The woman that I am most looking forward to what she will be wearing is First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. Having won my heart at this event wearing Vera Wang, Naeem Khan and Peter Soronen, and aside from her gold Michael Kors lamé gown last year (which landed her on my worst dressed list) Mrs. Obama has always looked fabulous at this event. This amazing pink Vera Wang Fall 2014 Bridal strapless mermaid pleated gown with romantic roses and layers. I am so in love with this gown and hope to see it on someone at some point and Michelle is the perfect person to wear this gown. Finish the look with a pair of gold pumps, a statement necklace, and a statement bracelet and Michelle will have the perfect look for this event.

2013 Emmy Awards: Oustanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series Wish List

Sometimes Amy Poehler isn't the most glamorous woman on the red carpet but she has had her moments and I am hoping that she has one of those moments on the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards. Amy is once again nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in 'Parks & Recreation.' I think that this bubblegum pick Badgley Mischka Resort 2014 simple gown with waist ruching and an embellished waist band. I think Amy is at her best when she wears something that isn't overworked and just a classic design. I think that this color would be the perfect way to infuse some modernity into the ensemble. A simple silver clutch and silver sandals as well as some select simple diamonds for her ears and wrist would complete this look for her for this years Emmy Awards.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus took home the 2012 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her HBO comedy 'VEEP' and is nominated again this year in the same category. At last years ceremony Julia wore a stunning maroon Vera Wang gown and looked the best that she ever had so I am wishing for the partnership to follow onto this years event. I think that this Vera Wang Spring 2014 Bridal mermaid gown with a floral pattern embroidery would be perfect for this event. I would change the gown from ivory to be a blue color so that the look doesn't come off as bridal but I love the shape for Julia. A black clutch, black sandals, and some simple diamond dazzlers would be the way to finish off this custom look.

Oh Lena Dunham what to do with you? I am NOT a fan of her style because she hasn't learned how to dress her body shape and its sad because I think if she could get it right that she would look beautiful. I think this blue ZAC Zac Posen Resort 2014 gown with a nipped waist and a hip peplum would look really elegant on Lena for the 2013 Emmy Awards. Keep the look simple with a black clutch, black pumps, and very simple jewelry and let Lena take some baby steps to making her way feeling more and more comfortable on the red carpet.

This year will be Tina Fey's sixth and final nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Liz Lemon in the hit NBC comedy '30 Rock,' which ended its run earlier this year. I think that for this years awards show that this black rise fall Marchesa Resort 2014 gown would be perfect for Tina. With newer shows like 'Girls' and 'VEEP' I think that Tina isn't in the main line to win unless they give her the award because of the shows finale. A simple black clutch and black sandals will give Tina an awards show worthy look but one that isn't the most visually interesting. I hope that the comedy ladies don't let me down and work the Emmy's red carpet.

2013 CFDA Awards Wish List Part 3

 We haven't seen much of Leighton Meester since her hit show 'Gossip Girl' ended in December but I am hopeful that she will make a red carpet return at this years CFDA Awards. Leighton is the face of Vera Wang's 'Lovestruck' fragrance and this year the glam designer will be receiving the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award so it surprise me if Leighton isn't their to support Vera. I would love to see Leighton take to the red carpet wearing this black and white jacquard print cocktail dress from the Vera Wang Fall 2013 RTW collection. Leighton is usually known for amazing interesting taste in footwear so I am expecting some amazing Jimmy Choo or Brian Atwood dazzler and some amazing Harry Winston sparklers to complete this amazing red carpet ensemble.

 I have a hate/love relationship with Rita Ora on the red carpet sometimes she looks absolutely fantastic and others its a complete disaster doesn't seem like there is any middle ground. As Rita knows Alexander Wang well it would not surprise me if Rita attends as his guest as she knows how to do downtown glam and could pull off with great aplomb the dressy dressed down looks from Alexander Wang. For the CFDA Awards I would love to see Rita wear this white halter top and pants from the Alexander Wang Fall 2013 RTW collection. Complete this ensemble with her signature red lip and a pair of silver sandals and Rita will be a great ambassador for the Women's Wear Designer of the Year nominee on the red carpet.

And Finally to round out the 2013 CFDA Awards wish lists we have Stacy Keibler. Since she stepped out on the red carpet scene on the arm of George Clooney in the Fall of 2011 Stacy has been showing all of Hollywood that she is one to watch on the red carpet appearing in amazing gowns from the likes of Naeem Khan, Marchesa, and Armani Prive. But for this years CFDA Awards I would love to see Stacy support Accessories Designer of the Year nominee Phillip Lim by wearing this midnight blue 3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2013 RTW velvet double breasted suit. I would want Stacy to ooze sex appeal wearing this menswear inspired ensemble so I would recommend that she go topless under the blazer highlighting her decolletage with a diamond and sapphire statement necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels, a pair of Casadei black patent leather t-strap 'Blade' pumps, and a cocktail ring would complete this absolutely amazing androgynous ensemble.

'The Croods' LA Premiere Wish List

Emma Stone has gained a place in my heart for her red carpet style wearing many winning red carpet looks a year from a host of different designers. I think that this black, purple, and white Vera Wang Fall 2013 RTW dress with clashing colors in the same print which gives this dress a lot of visual interest would be perfect for Emma. I think that Emma would absolutely amazing wearing this dress as she is one of the few that I can think of that could pull off a look like this. Finish this with a black sandal and maybe a small black clutch and she is set to stun on the red carpet of her movie premiere.

2013 Golden Globe Awards Wish List: Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama

Dame Helen Mirren is in her upper sixties and she still knows how to bring it on the red carpet. Last year whilst promoting 'Hitchcock,' the film that has earned her the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama nomination, Helen exclusively wore Dolce and Gabbana for all her red carpet appearances. Each look was a different variation on the black lace with gold embroidery looks that took to the runway during the finale of the Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2012 RTW collection. I am hoping to see some different looks from the beautiful seasoned actress which is why I have chosen to want to see her in this peachy Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture gown. The moment I saw the image of this gown I have been calling it for Helen. I think that this is a perfect gown for her to wear for the Golden Globe Awards. Finish it with gold pumps and a gold clutch and I will fan girl while watching the E! Live From The Red Carpet special.

Jessica Chastain has snagged another Golden Globe nomination for the second year in a row jumping from the Supporting Actress comedy for 'The Help' last year to Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for 'Zero Dark Thirty' this year. I have missed seeing Miss Chastain wearing the designs of Zac Posen so for this event I have chosen to put her in this navy blue Zac Posen Spring 2013 RTW gown. I think that this gown is something that Jessica would rock without a doubt in an old Hollywood way finishing the look with Veronica Lake wave hairstyle, navy Christian Loubotuin sandals, and some sapphire and diamond jewelry.

Marion Cotillard is my choice to take home the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama trophy for her role in 'Rust and Bone.' The Christian Dior spokesmodel will undoubtedly wear a Dior gown for the award show and of the gowns that remain from the Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture collection I think that this dove grey and raspberry embellished gown will be her choice. Marion has become very predictable on the red carpet and I believe that without a doubt that this post will become a dream come true. I would finish this look with a pair of silver Christian Dior pumps and some amazing Chopard diamonds.

I have grown to love seeing Naomi Watts on the red carpet, so much that she is featured on the blogs banner image. Since she attended the Cannes Film Festival premiere of 'Madagascar 3' back in May of last year wearing a stunning Marchesa gown she has been back on my radar. For this event for which she is nominated for her work in 'The Impossible' Naomi Should wear this ivory and gold Marchesa Spring 2013 RTW gown. Naomi has a friendship with Marchesa wearing several looks by them last year. I think that this gown is elegant and perfect for the star. Finish off the look with a gold Marchesa clutch, gold Christian Louboutin sandals, and a diamond bracelet she will make best dressed lists across the world.

Rachel  Weisz has had a great red carpet run in 2012 between promoting her own films she also gave some of her best looks whilst playing arm candy for her husband, Daniel Craig. She is nominated for her own work in the film, The Deep Blue Sea,She should wear this stunning Vera Wang Fall 2013 Bridal gown. I think that this gown might be a little too much for the event but why shouldn't Rachel wow us. Finish this look with a gold clutch and gold pumps and she will be a grand slam. 

2012 Emmy Awards: 'Modern Family' Cast Wish List

Last years winner of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy and a nominee this year Julie Bowen always takes a fabulous approach to red carpet dressing. Last year Julie wore a custom Oscar de la Renta sequined gown. I think that this year this amazing ethereal white Marchesa Resort 2013 column gown with a tufted peplum and gold waist embroidery. The silhouette of this gown is similar to the Oscar gown she wore last year but while last year her gown was dark and edgy this is light and airy. Add a gold Marchesa clutch, gold peep toe Jimmy Choo pumps, a gold detailed cuff, and gold drop earrings to finish off the look once more.

Sarah Hyland is a red carpet star who has a very cute youthful sense of style. I think that this bright orange Georges Hobeika Fall 2012 RTW gown with a peak bustier and a gold metal waist band. Sarah would look so beautiful in this gown with her skin coloring. I would pair this elegant gown with a metallic clutch and some metallic sandals to complete the look that would no doubt put her on international best dressed lists.

Last up on this list is one of my red carpet favorites because the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy nominee Sofia Vergara always brings a sexy Latin flare to the red carpet in a hand full of her go to brands. For the Emmy awards I would love to see Sofia wear a Vera Wang Spring 2013 Bridal gown in this stunning deep red with jet crystal embellishments on her hips. The silhouette of the gown is one that the curvaceous actress loves and for the right reasons because it flatters her body to no end. Pair this with just a pair of matching peep toe pumps and some amazing Lorraine Schwartz black diamond jewelry to complete the look

Cannes Film Festival: L'Oreal Paris Spokesmodel Eva Longoria Wish List

Eva Longoria has not been at the Cannes Film Festival since she had her magnificent red carpet triumph wearing Emilio Pucci to the Opening Ceremony in 2010. After that year of wearing Naeem Khan, Pucci, Elie Saab, and Herve Leger she sort of fell into a style rut (sans two gowns Georges Hobeika at the 2012 SAG Awards and Oscar de la Renta at the ALMA Awards) and I have been waiting for her to come out of it. The perfect platform to bring her out of this rut is the 2012 Cannes Film Festival as she has to look her best to promote L'Oreal Paris.

The first look that I would like to see her in is this stunning stone grey Georges Hobeika Fall 2011 Couture gown with a draped skirt, but after consulting with Georges Hobeika's in house PR and telling them about this wish I was told that the dress is unavailable and she wont be wearing it. Moving on after the original disappointment we have this stunning black and white one shouldered Naeem Khan Fall 2012 RTW gown, I think that Eva would look amazing in this giving it that diva-tude that only she and select few others can; pair this gown with black strappy sandals, a red or aqua clutch, and some stunning earrings and a fabulous cuff would compliment this dress perfect. Now of all my wishes this deep wine colored one shoulder Vera Wang Spring 2013 Bridal mermaid gown is my favorite because it has so much drama which is exactly what Eva needs to bring to Cannes this year, pair this gown with a black embellished clutch, black peep toe pumps, and some amazing diamonds and I feel she would have a spot on the best dressed of the year list. Last but not least we have my second favorite gown in this wish, a stunning mauve Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012 gown. I have had this gown on reserve for an Eva Longoria wish list since the collection was released on Style.com on December 8th of last year. I think that Eva has the diva-ness needed to make this look amazing. No clutch silver pumps and stellar diamonds would put this into best dressed contention as well. Eva don't let me down at Cannes this year you are one I am most looking forward to. :-)

White House Correspondent's Dinner Wish List

 The White House Correspondent's Dinner is the one night where Washington puts on the west coast glitz. Michelle Obama will of course be on hand as she is the First Lady! LOL! I would love to see Miss Obama wear this stunning Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 Bridal gown. I would die if she wore this but I do not think it will come true just because Oscar and Michelle do not have the greatest relationship. She has never worn one of his designs in her husbands entire four years of presidency, even though is is arguably one of the most brilliant names in American fashion. Another reason that she would most likely not ever don an ensemble by the designer is the fact that he called her out last year when she wore a red Alexander McQueen gown for a state dinner. I think that if the two could put aside her differences and collaborate that the result would be beautiful. Blue and silver statement jewels (which Michelle does so well) and a stunning pair of blue pumps are what is needed to create an amazing collaboration.

 Claire Danes is one of the confirmed guests of CBS as she is a star of their show 'Homeland.' I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this deep red J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2012 gown. It is such a simple gown, which is what I always love when Claire wears. She wore a gown that was custom created for her inspired by a more office attire style dress from this collection for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, and earned herself a spot on the best dressed with it. I think that this color would look absolutely stunning on Claire with her fair skin and blonde hair. A matching clutch and strappy sandals would put her and this collection on the best dressed list again.

 Dakota Fanning has also been confirmed as a guest for the dinner. I have to say that Dakota has so much potential and most of the time she always falls flat. I have decided to put her in this stunning simple pale green Valentino Spring 2012 RTW gown. Now as you can see in the reference picture even a simple dress can be ruined by the wrong accessories and styling. I would pair this look with a metallic gold mirror clutch, gold strappy sandals, and a gold bracelet. To finish off this look she would need to pull her hair back into a tight pony tail and finish it off with simple make-up

 Elizabeth Banks is an unofficial brand ambassador for Versace so I will be very surprised if the stunning actress doesn't don a gown by Versace for this event. I have chosen to put her in this archive white Atelier Versace Spring 2010 Couture gown. I think that Elizabeth would look absolutely stunning in this, as I love her in white. I would pair this with a smokey grey crystal clutch and gunmetal strappy sandals.

 Jessica Alba loves herself some Ralph Lauren and this is rightfully so. She usually looks absolutely stunning in his designs. I would die a happy man if I get to see her in this minimal pink silk Ralph Lauren Spring 2012 RTW strapless gown. I think that this simple dress is right up Jessica's style. I think that she would wear her hair up almost like it is in the image on the left, add a silver crystal encrusted clutch, silver crystal encrusted sandals, and a stunning diamond necklace that would most likely drop down to the belly button.

And last but not least we have the Colombian sex goddess Sofia Vergara. Sofia wears Vera Wang for lots of major events, most recently the Golden Globes (she too also received a best dressed award). I would kill to see her don this amazing crimson Vera Wang Spring 2013 Bridal gown. This gown may actually be a bit much for this event but either way I still think that she would look absolutely stunning in it, weather she wears it now for for maybe the Emmy's. No clutch, red peep toes, and maybe some stunning earrings and a cuff would be all that are needed for this to be an absolutely stunning look, even though she would look stunning naked.

2012 Grammy Attendees Wish List

Alicia Keys is set to perform with Bonnie Raitt (Something to Talk About) in a tribute to the late matriarch of R&B Etta James. For the red carpet, I would love for her to wear this black mermaid Vera Wang gown from her Fall 2012 Bridal collection. Just this dress, a pair of black Christan Louboutin sandals, and some bomb ass diamond earrings and bracelets maybe infusing either black diamonds or sapphires into it would be absolutely stunning.

Gwyneth Paltrow is going to be among the presenters at the 2012 Grammy Awards on Sunday night. I think that Gwynie, who usually skips the red carpet at this event, which sucks because she always looks stunning, should wear this gold and white Balmain long-sleeved mini dress with fringe on the sleeves. What you may not notice from the picture is that the gold pattern isn't a print or even sewn embroidery, it is all hand sewn beads, which makes Balmain almost couture level. I think that this is truly a Gwyn dress as she loves herself a long sleeved mini. I would leave one of the top buttons undone to show just a little bit of cleavage, but not a lot, and wear some amazing gold strappy sandals. Her hair should be wavy and voluminous, kind of like she did last year when she visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

2012 Critics Choice Awards Wish List Part 2

Meryl Streep is such a film icon that she feels that she doesn't have to put forth a whole lot of effort on the red carpet (a la Julia Roberts), well dear this is not the case. The reason to look good is that it can get you in even more magazines than you already are in, with subtitles such as "Best Actress Nominee (or winner if she were to win) Meryl Streep wearing..." but what does a non professional know? A lot! For this show I have chosen to put Meryl in this champagne colored Badgley Mischka Spring 2012 RTW dress. This dress is elegant and still age appropriate whilst still being on the trends. I think that this dress paired with gold strappy sandals, a gold jeweled clutch, and a great pair of earrings would make this look just take off and land her on the best dressed lists worldwide.

I wish Michelle Williams would hire me to be her stylist because I think that with my help that she would go from sad looking on the red carpet, to looking like a floating angel. For the 2012 Critics Choice Awards, where she is nominated for her portrayal of iconic film star and legend Marylin Monroe in this film 'My Week With Marylin', I would like the stunning actress to wear this Angel Sanchez Spring 2012 RTW gown. I think that the angelic gown would look stunning on the actress, who should pair it with silver sandals and a silver clutch.

Octavia Spencer is the dark horse of the 2012 Awards Season and I think that she is going to bring it. The actress who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress, for her role as Minny Jackson in 'The Help', has been making a splash dressing exactly how she should for her body type. I think that this Azzaro Spring 2012 RTW gown would look stunning on her as the color would look amazing as well. Now, I would modify this gown so that the keyhole would need to be raised for more support for Octavia's lady twins. A silver jeweled clutch and silver peep toe pumps would complete this look and make Octavia shine like the star she is becoming.

Rachel McAdams is a red carpet diva and she loves to bring it on the red carpet which I love! This Alexis Mabile Fall 2011 Couture cocktail dress is dark but fun all at the same time. I think that Rachel would rock it with a pair of black strappy sandals, diamond earrings, a few diamond cocktail rings, and her blonde locks styled into 1940's waves,

Sandra Bullock may attend the 2012 Critics Choice Awards because her film 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' is nominated for the Best Picture award. If she does, I would love her to wear this orange Vera Wang Pre-Fall 2012 gown. I love when Sandy pulls out the bright colors as she does have the coloring to wear them. The only thing I would change about this look is that I would have a matching waistband added to define Sandy's amazing waist. Gold strappy sandals, gold clutch, and a chic up-do would look amazing with this Vera Wang gown.

This is my second Badgley Mischka Spring 2012 RTW collection wish for this event and it is for Shailene Woodley. She is nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Young Actress for her role in the Best Picture nominated film, 'The Descendants'. I have yet to see Shailene don a gown for a red carpet appearance and I don't think that I will until she has to for the Golden Globes, SAG's, or the Oscars. So this orange strapless dress would look stunning on her, and could be best dressed worthy if she wears it with gold strappy sandals and carry's a gold crystal clutch.

And last, but not least, for this awards show I am wishing for androgynous beauty Tilda Swinton, who is nominated for Best Actress for her work in the film 'We Need To Talk About Kevin', to wear Hadier Ackerman Spring 2012 RTW for the event. Tilda has a long time relationship with the designer who has dressed her for numerous occasions. This black chiffon skirt paired with the red and white plaid style print blazer I think is something that only a few women in the world could pull off, and Tilda is one of them. I hope to see her in it. Accessorized with a pair of red strappy sandals and minimal jewelery, I think that Tilda would waltz her way on to not just my best dressed list but the lists of fashion critics the world overs.

2012 Critics Choice Awards Wish List Part 1

Angelina Jolie will most likely attend the 2012 Critics Choice Awards, as the guest of her beau Brad Pitt, who is nominated for Best Actor for his work in the film, Moneyball. Angelina who stands next to Brad at nearly every event he attends, will no doubt work the carpet with him, and I would like her to do so wearing this cream and gold Atelier Versace Spring 2011 Couture gown. Angie wears Atelier Versace all the time, so this is not that huge of a stretch for her except it is not black (none of the wishes I have for her this year will be black). When I first saw this gown I said that this is Angie's dress, and she has yet to wear it, but I think that she just has not had the venue to do so. A simple gold clutch and peep toe pumps would be the only accessories that this gown needs.

Carey Mulligan loves Elie Saab, wearing him on numerous occasions before. So I decided to wish for her to wear this electric blue sequined Elie Saab Spring 2012 RTW gown for the 2012 Critics Choice Awards. Carey is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film "Shame" and her film with Ryan Gosling "Drive" is nominated for Best Picture. I think that Carey would look divine in this blue off the shoulder gown with 1/2 length sleeves. Just a blue clutch and sandals would make this look great, maybe a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings to add even more sparkle to this already sparkling ensemble.

Now I am not certain that Cate Blanchett will attend the 2012 Critics Choice Awards, however, her film "Hanna" is nominated for Best Action Movie. I would love to see her grace the carpet because every time she does, she always takes my breath away. Cate is a huge fan and supporter of Armani Prive and has worn his designs on numerous of occasions. I have decided to dip into the archives (if you call a gown from a year ago an archive dress) to dress her in this grey futuristic style Armani Prive Spring 2011 Couture gown. Ever since this gown walked the runway I have wanted to see Cate don it, and this event would be the perfect platform for it. Some diamond cluster earrings from her favorite jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels would make this look shine along with matching grey pumps.

Charlize Theron will be taking the red carpet; I have almost no doubt as she is nominated for Best Actress for her role of Mavis Gary in the dramatic comedy, "Young Adult." I feel that the Christian Dior Ja'Dore spokesmodel needs a new stylist as most of her red carpet looks lately have just been meh. If I were chosen to style Charlize for this event, I would put her in this Christian Dior Spring 2012 RTW pink dress with a ruffled bust and a full skirt. This would look amazing against Charlize's pale skin and accessorized with pink or silver strappy sandals and a pink clutch would make this look shine. Her hair should be styled in the same way as the reference picture.

Elizabeth Olsen (younger sister to Mary-Kate and Ashley) is nominated for her role in the film "Martha Marcy May Marlene." Elizabeth has grown a relationship with Chanel, as she has worn their stunning designs from Ready-To-Wear to Couture a whopping 3 times in the finale months of 2011. So I am confidant that the young actress can snag herself this gold Chanel Pre Fall 2012 gown. I would love if she got this gown and lined it as the model is wearing matching gold pants (good for runway and editorial not for red carpet). Gold strappy sandals and a gold clutch would be the perfect top to this look.

Emma Stone always looks fantastic on the red carpet and may attend to support her films "Crazy Stupid Love", which is nominated for Best Comedy, and "The Help", which is nominated for Best Actin Ensemble and Best Picture. I hope she does walk the carpet and does so by wearing this purple Donna Karan Spring 2012 RTW one shoulder cocktail dress. I love this dress and I think it will look amazing on the redheaded actress. I would recomend that Emma wear just a pair of gold sandals with this look as I think that she could work this lookwith a couple accessories.

Jessica Chastain had a great year last year releasing 7 films and 2 of them ("The Help" & "Tree of Life") are nominated for Best Picture. "The Help" is nominated for Best Acting Ensemble and Jessica herself is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Celia Foote in "The Help." Jessica tends to favor these nude dresses, but the tends to be ones that carry a pink undertone. This Vera Wang Spring 2012 Bridal Collection gown has more of a caramel undertone, which I hope would look stunning on Miss Chastain. This paired with strappy gold sandals, diamond earrings set in gold, and a collection of diamonds set in gold bracelets would make this look complete.
