2015 End of the Year Style Awards: Most Improved

The first half of 2015 and Carey Mulligan's pregnancy were not things that worked well for her. From the disastrous Christian Dior sequin bath sheet at the "Far From The Madding Crowd" premiere in London to the ugly ill fitting custom Balenciaga gowns worn for the Met Gala and Tony Awards I had started to give up hope on my one time Best Newcomer. I was at the point where she was going to be my Most Disappointing of the Year but happily she was able to find her red carpet mojo in time to start her Oscar campaign in October. Carey showed a slight hint at something better to come when she showed us that basic navy Lanvin didn't have to be boring.

What really pushed Carey thoroughly back in my someone to watch corner were her looks whilst promoting her latest film "Suffragette," which is garnering the actress quite a bit of Oscar buzz. Carey took that buzz and has been working it wearing quite the array of unique designs like the dusty mauve Chanel Couture worn during the London Film Festival and the black Alexander McQueen 50s inspired strapless bow detailed lace dress. My favorites of all of thee looks were the two that I least expected to see on Carey, the periwinkle (or as Pantone is calling it in 2016 Serenity) Marc Jacobs suit worn to the Elle Women in Hollywood event and the pale lilac Oscar de la Renta Spring 2016 RTW lace halter dress worn to the "Suffragette" premiere in LA. I hope that Carey keeps up the beautiful magic that she has been gracing the red carpets with lately as she works her way into the new year and into an amazing red carpet awards season.

2015 Hollywood Film Awards Wish List Part 1

Sunday night are the 2015 Hollywood Film Awards, the kickoff of the race to the Oscars, and I gotta say that I am extremely excited to see what all the stars will rock on the red carpet. What I love about the Hollywood Film Awards is that they announce honorees and its one of the more laid back awards shows, everyone knows who's one and it's basically just a gala celebrating all of the honorees. Alicia Vikander is being honored with the Hollywood Breakout Actress, which she has earned thanks to her performance in "The Danish Girl." I have been loving almost everything that Alicia has been wearing this second half of the year and she is the only Louis Vuitton brand ambassador that I am actually enjoying seeing on the red carpet. I am wishing though that Alicia will put LV on the back burner in favor of other brands for Sunday night's awards. I picked this this Prabal Gurung Spring 2016 RTW tea rose ensemble which includes a crepe de chine blouse and chiffon fitted evening skirt with coiled pleating details and a slightly flared hem because I think that the relaxed elegance of this gown is perfect for Alicia's no fuss glamour. I think Alicia would definitely be giving people something to talk about while wearing this gown. A gold Louis Vuitton clutch (so that she is still representing the brand), a pair of gold Jimmy Choo sandals, and a chic upswept hairstyle would be the perfect finishing touches to keep Alicia on top form for this red carpet as she starts her Oscar campaign.

I still have very little faith that funny lady Amy Schumer will give me anything worth loving on the red carpet, she is starting to develop fashion interests but they are still in their fledgling days. With that in mind Amy will be on hand Sunday night at the Hollywood Film Awards to accept the Hollywood Comedy Award thanks to the movie "Trainwreck," which she wrote in stared in this summer. I love Amy's womanly curves, I just think that she hasn't learned to dress them yet. I picked this embroidered Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2016 RTW halter neck keyhole pencil dress for Amy for this red carpet because one can never go wrong with a perfectly tailored pencil dress and the embroidery and color blocked neck make this dress anything but basic. Some might say that this look is do demure, ladylike, and proper for Amy who is known for her crude type of humor (I find her to be incredibly funny) but I think that she should explore absolutely every option when it comes to red carpet dressing to find out what is the best fit for her. Now where Amy had a great gown at the Emmy Awards ( a beautiful custom Zac Posen) her hair was a hot ass mess, and Amy you can still do a comedy routine about being a trainwreck and not always look like one. A sleek low bun and a light pink lip are the perfect beauty choices to keep that chic and elegant look that the gown is giving. Finish off with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin pumps and a gold clutch and Amy will for sure have a beautiful moment on the Hollywood Film Awards red carpet.

I can not say how happy I am to see Carey Mulligan finally getting back to the woman that I fell in love with back in 2010 (when I named her Best Newcomer on my old blog LoveIt or HateIt.) Carey has had major moments in Chanel, Alexander McQueen, & Marc Jacobs while promoting "Suffragette" and I am hoping that Sunday night when she receives the Hollywood Actress Award for her work on the film that she keeps it up. I picked this Victorian floral Alexander McQueen Spring 2016 RTW one shoulder gown gown for Carey because of its relaxed glamour. Carey is usually very no muss no fuss when it comes to red carpet dressing and this gown I think would be a beautiful moment for the British actress on the red carpet. This collection was one of my top collections of all the Spring 2016 RTW shows and I am praying that we see a lot of it on the red carpet and what better way to kick off the race to the Academy Awards than in Alexander McQueen.

When I saw that Jane Fonda is going to be honored with the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award for her work in the film "Youth" I got very excited. Jane has not had a good run promoting this film first the disastrous Schiaparelli gown at Cannes and then the dated Yves Saint Laurent Couture at the Toronto International Film Festival and I am hoping that Sunday we will see Jane back on her top form. I decided to pick a pantsuit for Jane for this red carpet because this has been the year of the amazing trouser looks from Jane. First it was Balmain at the Grammy Awards, then Zuhair Murad Couture at the Vanity Fair Oscar Part, and then Elie Saab recently and I think that adding Atelier Versace to that mix is the only natural progression. Some of my favorite looks from Jane have been courtesy of Versace and I think that this would be no different. This Atelier Versace Spring 2014 Couture white pantsuit with silver embellishment on the jacket is something that I think Jane would rock the hell out of. I think that this suit paired with a white chiffon pussy bow blouse, a pair of silver metallic Christian Louboutin pumps, and a silver clutch would make for a killer moment for Jane on this red carpet and start off her Oscar campaign quite nicely,

2014 AFI Awards Wist List Part 1

'American Hustle' and 'Her' are two films that Amy Adams has stared in that are being honored with the title of an AFI Movie of the Year Award. This award is handed out to members of the cast and crew in a private luncheon in LA on January 10th 2014. Amy Adams should wear this black, white, and gold Andrew Gn Spring 2014 RTW shift dress for the event. Some attend this event in more casual cocktail attire. While others wear more formal casual/business attire. This is a kind of mix of the two style of clothing it could work in a boardroom or a dinner date which is perfect for Amy for this event. Finish the look with a pair of black and gold Jimmy Choo pointed toe pumps and Amy will have the perfect look for this event. 

Carey Mulligan will attend the AFI Awards luncheon to represent her film 'Inside Llewyn Davis.' Having a knack for all things neutral I think that this white Elie Saab Spring 2014 RTW cap sleeved dress that features lace panels on the bodice. This is a pretty dress that would look elegant on Carey and is event appropriate. Where Carey usually goes wrong is during the styling portion of the red carpet process, usually picking shoes or clutches that are way to heave for the light dresses that she picks. I would style this dress with a pair of white Saint Laurent 'Janis' pumps, her hair slicked back, and a bright pink lip to ensure that Carey is on the top of her game for the 2014 AFI Awards.

Christian Dior spokesmodel and Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence will most likely be on hand at the AFI Awards to represent her film 'American Hustle' alongside co-star Amy Adams. While I am praying to see JLaw not wear Dior for absolutely every event between now and the Vanity Fair Party following the Academy Awards, but I think that this Christian Dior Spring 2014 RTW pink, black, and green long sleeved dress. This is a perfect look for Jennifer because it is the perfect mix of sporty and feminine which is a balance that Jennifer needs with her athletic style figure. A pair of green Jimmy Choo 'Anouck pointed toe pumps, a black Lady Dior clutch, and a bright pink lip will give Jennifer a look that I adore.

'12 Years a Slave' actress Lupita Nyong'o will attend the 2014 AFI Awards representing the film which has certainly put her on the map. Having an amazing sense of style and a knack for getting the biggest brands in the world to lend her clothing I am excited to see what she is going to bring to the red carpet come awards season 2014. For this event I really want to see this amazing purple Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 RTW floral embellished sheath dress. This dress is a true piece of artwork and I am praying that someone like Lupita will pick it up so that it will be given the justice that it deserves. I would just add a pair of black to silver ombre Jimmy Choo 'Anouck' pointed toe pumps and a red lip to make this a perfect look for Lupita for the 2014 AFI Awards.

'Fruitville Station' star Octavia Spencer is always a delight to see on the red carpet, even if we always know the answer to the question "who are you wearing?" The stunning actress has always worn Tadashi Shoji during her red carpet outings because the brand was the only one that was good to her in the months leading up to her Academy Award win for her role in 'The Help.' For this event I would love to see Octavia wear this amazing pastel Tadashi Shoji Spring 2014 RTW cocktail dress. This dress is elegant and flirty for the perfect red carpet moment for this event. A simple pair of gold pumps would be all that I would add to finish this look of for Octavia for this event.

2013 Gotham Independent Film Awards: Carey Mulligan & Cate Blanchett Wish List

The road to the 2014 Academy Awards started back in October with the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards and will continue with the 2013 Gotham Independent Film Awards on December 2nd. Carey Mulligan is not nominated for any awards but her film 'Inside Llewyn Davis' is nominated for Best Picture. As she isn't nominated I think that this white Elie Saab Spring 2014 RTW cocktail dress with 3/4 length sleeves and sheer panels is perfect. I have been really conflicted on Carey's style and I am hoping that I will love what she wears and if she wears this Elie Saab dress with a pair of silver sandals or pumps and simple jewels, and shock with a bold lip and I will fall off my seat in love with Carey on the Gotham Independent Film Awards red carpet.

As the first round of nominations come out I am already planning what I want to see Cate Blanchett to wear to the 2014 Academy Awards but we have a long way to go until we get there. For the 2013 Gotham Independent Film Awards Cate is nominated for Best Actress for her film 'Blue Jasmine,' which I am still dying to see. For this red carpet I am hoping to see the Queen of the Red Carpet wear this Andrew Gn Spring 2014 RTW one shoulder geometric black white and gold cocktail dress. I think that this dress would just stun on Cate as it is a classic silhouette but is still extremely modern and edgy. Finish the look with a gold clutch, a pair of black and gold peep toe pumps, and Cate will show why I call her the Queen.

I can not say that I am in love with Carey Mulligan, she is either a total hit or a complete disaster, and more often than not she is the later. I do not understand why either. She is such a beautiful woman who the worlds most coveted designers just throw clothing at, but very rarely does she step out in something other an black or pearl white and its usually very simple and blah, and if its not the dress its bad hair and make-up. When she finally takes to the red carpet for the final screening of 'Inside Llewyn Davis' I am hoping that magic will be made. This periwinkle and navy blue Stella McCartney Spring 2014 RTW lace halter cocktail dress would be a big step out of the box for Carey and I think that she would look spectacular in this ensemble. Just a simple navy Prada satin box clutch and navy Christian Louboutin satin peep toe pumps would make for the perfect accessories to complete this ensemble for Carey.

2013 AFI Fest: 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Closing Gala Premiere

Aside from a brief step out in yellow at the 2013 London Film Festival premiere of 'Inside Llewyn Davis' we have only seen Carey Mulligan in black or white for the most of this year. For the 2013 AFI Fest premiere of 'Inside Llewyn Davis' I would love to see Caret wear this amazing navy Michael Kors Spring 2014 RTW cocktail dress with gold embellishments. I think that this is a dress that is not outside of Carey's red carpet realm of opportunity. I think that the 30's style of this dress goes well with Carey's sense of style. Finish the look with a pair of black Saint Laurent pumps and a sleek hairstyle and Carey will have the perfect look for this premiere.

As I have said many a time before, Jessica Biel is the perfect wife and famous plus one. She always brings out all the stops when she is out on the red carpet to stand by her man, Justin Timberlake. For the 2013 AFI Fest premiere of 'Inside Llewyn Davis' I think that this white long sleeved Chloe Spring 2014 RTW dress with studs and long sleeves (minus the flowy underskirt) would be the perfect option for Jessica to wear to support her man. Finish the look with a pair of gold pumps, a gold clutch, and her hair pulled back would make for an amazing plus one ensemble.

2013 London Film Festival: 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Premiere Wish List

Carey Mulligan has not worn a single color other than black, white, blush, or navy all year which is a shame because the actress can really pull off some amazing rich colors. For her premiere of 'Inside Llewyn Davis' duirng the 2013 London Film Festival I am hoping to see Carey step out wearing a bold couture creation. This emerald green Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture gown is just the look I think that Mrs Mulligan needs to step up her red carpet game. I had high hopes for her 'The Great Gatsby' promo tour and was really let down so I am hoping that she will be able to redeem herself. Finish this look with a pair of emerald earrings and a pair of gold pumps and Carey will be ready to take to the London Film Festival red carpet and wow the world

Jessica Biel really has been the Best Plus One this year as Mrs Timberlake. Justin and Jess tied the knot late last year and ever since when he has a music awards show or his films premiere Jessica is always on his arm. She does know how to not steal his (or his costars) spotlights and usually chooses elegant black ensembles from designers like Tom Ford, Marchesa, and Dolce & Gabbana. For this premiere I think that this black Antonio Berardi Resort 2014 rise-fall hem gown with long lace sleeves would be the perfect option for Mrs Biel. Not only would she play the arm candy role well she would also be representing a British designer whilst taking to the red carpet. Finish the look with a simple black clutch, simple black sandals, and very simplistic diamond earrings and Jessica will shine as the worlds best wife yet again on the red carpet.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Premiere Wish List

Carey Mulligan will take to the red carpet at the Palais de Festivals for a second time after her Opening Ceremony premiere of 'The Great Gatsby' to present 'Inside Llewyn Davis' in competition during the festival. For this premiere I am going back to Oscar de la Renta's Fall 2013 RTW collection again picking this black lace ballgown. I think that this is perfect for Carey who we have been missing the glam factor from as of late. Complete this look with a black clutch and a pair of Saint Laurent t-strap pointy toe pumps as well as some more Tiffany & Co. diamonds.

Jessica Biel's new hubby Justin Timberlake is another one of the stars of 'Inside Llewyn Davis.' I am praying that Jessica attends the 2013 Cannes Film Festival as arm candy for her husband. Ever since the two were married late last year Jessica has been on point with her on and off red carpet dressing and I would love to see her on the Cannes red carpet. For this premiere I would love to see Jessica wear this amazing aqua blue Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Couture gown. There have been many of the gowns in this collection that I have been surprised have not been scooped up for the red carpet. Add a pair of silver sandals and simple hair and makeup and Jessica will sparkle on her husbands big night.

Jury member Nicole Kidman should wear this amazing mix of seafoam and blue Valentino Spring 2010 Couture gown. This is a simple gown for Nicole as a judge will have several opportunities to wear show stopping gowns and this is the one very comfortable wish that I have wished for her to wear during the course of this festival. Complete this look with a gold clutch, and some strappy gold sandals and Nicole will bring the effortless glam to the red carpet.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: Opening Ceremony & 'The Great Gatsby' Premiere Wish List

Nicole Kidman is a member of this year Cannes Film Festival feature film jury and I can not be more excited. For the Opening Ceremony gala premiere of 'The Great Gatsby' I would love to see Nicole wear this amazing white Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown with a short cape. Yes I want Nicole to dare to wear the cape. Nicole is one of the few people in Hollywood that could pull off this gown which has been a favorite runway look from fashion critics worldwide. Pair this dress with an old Hollywood up do and a pair of silver sandals. And to complete the ensemble bring a pop of color via a pair of Chopard diamond and sapphire earrings and ring would complete this amazing opening ceremony ensemble.

Audrey Tautou is the Mistress of Ceremonies at this years Cannes Film Festival so she will be on hand to host the opening and closing ceremonies. For the opening ceremony I would love to see Audrey wear this Lanvin gown that I found on Net-A-Porter.com in cream but wear it in a blue like I have shown here. I think that this is a perfect look for the French beauty who loves to rep classic French brands. Finish the look with a pair of black pumps, a Chanel diamond and pearl Camilla ring, and diamond and pearl Chanel bracelet and earrings and Audrey will wow which she has not done in a very long time.

The promo tour for 'The Great Gatsby' from Carey Mulligan has been very lack luster and I am hoping that when she presents the film as the opening film of the Cannes Film Festival on May 15th that she brings the high fashion glamour that she is known for. I would take this pearl silver Lanvin Fall 2013 RTW cocktail dress and have it made into a full length ball gown. There were some stunning ballgowns made by Lanvin last year, most notably the pink gown worn by Natalie Portman, and I think that this would be a perfect look for Carey for this event. Finish with a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo silver satin pumps, and some amazing Tiffany & Co. (the official jewelers of The Great Gatsby) jewelry and a wavy up do and Carey will finally wow me on the red carpet.

Isla Fisher has never been to the Cannes Film Festival so I am predicting that she will live up the opportunity to wear a big glamorous gown for her big night. I think that this pink Tony Ward Spring 2013 Couture ball gown is perfect for Isla for the big night. Pair this with a pair of nude pumps, and a gunmetal silver clutch, as well as some simple diamond earring and bracelet and Isla will be able to hold her own against fashion heavy hitters like Carey and Nicole on the red carpet of the Palais de Festivals during the Opening Ceremony.

Beyonce's husband Jay-Z produced the soundtrack for the film and Bey was one of the performers on it as well. I would not be surpirised to see Queen B walk arm in arm with her husband because on top of all of those factors she is also a L'Oreal spokesmodel. For this premiere I would love to see her wear this black Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 RTW one shouldered gown. This gown will look absolutely amazing on Beyonce's body but is subdued enough not to take the spotlight away from the nights big stars. Complete the look with a pair of black Christian Louboutin sandals and some amazing statement jewelry including earring and a bracelet from Beyonce's go to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz.

For the past three years Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has attended the Opening Ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival wearing a cultural inspired gown and the fashion world waits to see what she chooses. All of her gowns have been custom made for her for the event but if I were able to choose a runway gown it would have to be this red and gold Guo Pei Spring 2013 Couture ball gown with fan and dragon embellishments. This would be the biggest gown she has worn at the festival and is reminicient in shape of the hot pink Marchesa gown she wore for this years Oscar's ceremony. A gold and red Anya Hindmarch fan clutch and a pair of gold peep toe pumps would be the perfect accessories to this amazing gown for Fan for the Opening Ceremony.

As a sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival, Chopard tends to send model to help add glamour to the red carpet much like L'Oreal. Eva Herzigova has been one of these models who has introduced important collections for the brand like their 'Marylin Forever' set during last years festival. This year I would love to see Eva wear this amazing fully beaded Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 RTW dress with 3/4 length sleeves made into a gown with a sweeping train. Add some diamond and ruby earrings, a red clutch, and a pair of silver sandals and Eva will be set for the red carpet.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: Photocall Wish List 1

Academy Award winner and last years Cannes Film Festival Mistress of Ceremonies Berenice Bejo will be in attendance during the festival that starts on May 15th 2013 to present her film 'The Past.' For the photocall for this film I would love to see her wear this amazing canary yellow Elie Saab Fall 2013 RTW. The key to taking this fall ensemble and perfecting it for the French Riviera in May is to scrunch up the sleeves and pair it with a pair of yellow Elie Saab sandals and tousled waves will complete this amazing ensemble for her photocall.

On top of opening the Cannes Film Festival with her latest film 'The Great Gatsby' Carey Mulligan will also be presenting her new film 'Inside Llewyn Davis' with co-star Justin Timberlake in competition for the festival. For this photocall I would love to see her wear this amazing brown Bottega Veneta Fall 2013 RTW dress. This very amazing 1940's style dress is something that I am looking forward to seeing worn off the runway. Complete this amazing look with wavy hair and a pair of bronze pumps would complete this amazing photo shoot ensemble.

Also in attendance during this years Cannes Film Festival promoting her film 'Only God Forgives' with hunky heartthrob Ryan Gosling will be Kristin Scott Thomas. Kristin has a small gaggle of designers that she goes to when she chooses her red carpet ensembles and for the Cannes Film Festival photo call of this film I would love to see Kristin wear Lanvin. This gardenia print Lanvin Fall 2013 RTW dress would be perfect against the bright blue sky and the crystal waters of the French Riviera. Complete this amazing ensemble with a pair of silver pumps and slick back hair and Kristin will shine bright.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: Opening Film 'The Great Gatsby' Photocall Wish List

Cary Mulligan's last Cannes Film Festival appearance was in 2010 when her film 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' had a special presentation gala premiere during the festival. For the photocall of that film she wore a deep plum Roland Mouret sheath dress. This year Carey will be on hand at the festival on the opening day as her latest film 'The Great Gatsby' will be premiering. The wish for the red carpet premiere will come towards the end of the month, this wish is for the ensembles that the cast should wear for the Photocall and Press Conference ahead of the grand gala premiere. I think that this brown and green patterned Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 RTW dress would be perfect. Carey and Anna Wintour have similar taste in designers and Oscar is one that the two have never shared and what a better platform for the two to be able to start a relationship than the terrace over looking Cannes for the photocall of 'The Great Gatsby.' Complete this look with loose curls and a pair of bronze Lanvin Spring 2013 metallic pumps and Carey will have the perfect Cannes Photocall look.

Isla Fisher may take to Cannes to help promote the film as she is one of the supporting characters in the film. If she does it will be the first time that we have ever seen her grace the famed film festival and I am hoping that she will make an impact as a newbie. For the Photocall and Press Conference for this film I would love to see her wear this gold Tory Burch Fall 2013 RTW dress. This is a simple classic look that would fit right in on the terrace for the photocall. Complete the look with old Hollywood waves and a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti peep toe metallic gold platform pumps and Isla is ready to take the festival by storm.

2012 Independent Spirit Awards Wish List

 Anna Kendrick's film '50/50' is nominated for best picture at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards and I am almost positive that the young actress will walk the red carpet this Saturday. I would love for her to wear this origami structural Georges Hobeika Spring 2012 RTW dress. I think that this is totally something that Anna would wear on the red carpet. I would pair this with a hot pink clutch and some killer silver strappy sandals.

 Carey Mulligan will most likely attend this years Indy Spirit awards to support her movie with Ryan Gosling, 'Drive.' I would love if the stunning British beauty would step out in this bubblegum pink Lanvin Resort 2012 cocktail dress with a bell shaped skirt. I think that this would look stunning on Carey. Throw a matching clutch and some gold strappy sandals and she could totally have a best dressed look right here.

 Kate Beckinsale was among the presenters at the nomination ceremony and traditionally the people who prensetnt the nominations also attend the main event to heres hoping. Kate has been having a love a love affair with Donna Karan designs as of late and I can not say anything about her wearing the same designer on multiple occasions as she always looks stunning in them. For Saturday's awards show I would love for Kate to get her hands on this stunning white Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 dress with a waist enhancing black belt with a bow. I think that this would look great on Kate's banging body. All that is needed to accessorize this look would be a great pair of black peep toe pumps.

 I would be really excited to see Kirsten Dunst on Saturday as her film 'Melancholia' is nominated for Best Foreign Film and she is always someone to watch on the red carpet. Kirsten loves herself some Rodarte and I think that she would look absolutely beautiful in this maroon strapless dress with an off white chiffon skirt from the Rodarte Fall 2012 RTW show. I think that she would look stunning in this I would add a matching maroon waistband as Kirsten has a great body and she should show it off. A matching maroon clutch and some black peep toe pumps would be absolutely perfect and she would look like a wave of perfection.

Michelle Williams is nominated for Best Female Lead for her portrayal of the iconic Marylin Monroe in the film 'My Week With Marylin.' Michelle may not be my favorite on the red carpet but she has slowly been getting better each step out this year because last week she stepped out in a giant pink Christian Dior couture gown that is totally not something that she would have worn before and she wore it with silver satin peep toe pumps. So for this Saturday I would love to see Michelle wear this Chanel Spring 2012 Couture blue embellished cocktail dress. I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this dress as she has this very sophisticated style. A pair of blue (not navy) peep toe pumps are exactly what is needed to make this look stunning.

2012 BAFTA Awards Wish List

Berenice Bejo has worn both Elie Saab and Gucci couture this awards season as well as a gown by Ralph Lauren. For the 2012 BAFTA Awards (which are the British version of the Oscars) I would like Berenice to add another notch to her couture belt by wearing this stunning metallic silver Atelier Versace archive gown from the Fall 2009 Couture collection. I think that this silver lame gown with bodice details would look absolutely stunning on her and the color would be divine. I would pair this look with a silver Swarovski clutch a pair of silver sandals and some amazing diamond earrings and a cuff from Chopard. Why did I pick those specific brands for her accessories? Well she has consistently worked with the PR firm Film Fashion to get all of her accessories and these are the brands she tends to favor. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, like she has already stated that she will wear Elie Saab couture for the Oscars as he has been the one to lend to her when no one knew her name yet.

Carey Mulligan is one of the people I always look forward to seeing on the red carpet as she always brings her A-game. For the 2012 BAFTA Awards I would love to see Carey wear this red Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2012 gown with a lace top and a thigh high slit. I think that this is a little step out of what Carey usually wears by adding the slit but I think that as she has been taking risks lately that she just might. Two years ago Carey donned a dress with a similar top by Elie Saab for a red carpet appearance and she looked great so I think that this dress would look absolutely stunning on her. A red box clutch and red sandals are all that are needed to complete this stunning ensemble.

Jessica Chastain is a girl who I really wish I could get my hands on as she almost gets it right on the red carpet but still needs a little help. The red headed actress who really made her red carpet fashion debut last year at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her film 'The Tree of Life' wearing a bright yellow Zac Posen gown still has a way to go before I really regard her as a fashion favorite but with her able to get brands like Armani Prive, Elie Saab Couture, and Givenchy Couture I feel she has potential she just needs to let another gay or two into her life (I will sacrifice myself to her to help LOL). Anyway for the 2012 BAFTA Awards I would like to see Jessica wear this stunning bronze embellished Givenchy Spring 2012 Couture gown. I think that the brownish bronze colored gown would look stunning on Jessica with her pale skin and red hair. It is sometimes hard to tell what color her hair is exactly as it seems to change shade every so often. I am pleading her to add a bronze box clutch and some bronze strappy sandals to this dress and that is all she would need.

I find it really hard to make wishes for Meryl Streep as she usually doesn't dress for her body type and her choices usually make her look larger than she is. For the 2012 BAFTA Awards I would like to see Meryl wear this dark dusty blue embellished Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2012 gown. This gown only has one of the Meryl requirements as it has sleeves but that is the only thing I am willing to give to her. She needs to learn that figure hugging dresses are not something that older women need to fear. Helen Mirren who is 66 to Meryl's 62 steps out in cleavage bearing, one shoulder, form fitting gowns all the time so I do not understand what the issue is. Meryl just wear the damn dress and make me happy.

Now Michelle Williams I am super excited to see as she usually fulfills my lust for Chanel and that is exactly what I am wishing for her to do here. I think that this navy and dark blue sequin gown is something that Michelle Williams would just die over to wear. This gown is something that is age appropriate and classic yet still fun (unlike her Golden Globes dress that was old and dowdy). All she would need to complete this look is a pair of navy peep-toe pumps and a simple navy clutch. Some diamond and sapphire jewelry might be nice but is not required.

I have no doubts in my mind that Octavia Spencer is going to don another one of the amazing gowns by Tadashi Shoji for the 2012 BAFTA Awards. You wanna talk about not biting the hand that feeds you, Octavia has worn Tadashi to almost all events this awards season including the Golden Globes, SAG's, AFI Awards, and the Directors Guild Awards. Also on Monday whilst at the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon, when asked if she had picked out her Oscar dress yet she said that she didn't have the gown yet but that she was most definitely wearing Tadashi Shoji as he has been so kind in dressing her. Well I think that this chartreuse one shouldered draped gown from the Spring 2012 RTW collection would be a great choice for Octavia to wear for the BAFTA Awards and with a pair of gold strappy sandals, a gold crystal embellished clutch, and some amazing gold and diamond drop earrings she could easily be made into one of the best dressed stars of the night.

I absolutely adore Tilda Swinton's red carpet style, she is so androgynous that she can wear a lot of the more interesting looks and designers; such as Hadier Ackerman, Jil Sander, and Lanvin. For the 2012 BAFTA Awards I would like to see Tilda wear this amazing cream with gold detail Stephane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture gown. I think that Tilda would look remarkable in this dress that on most I believe would just fall flat, and on her it would shine brighter than it did on the model. Her hair styled in a pompadour style and some gold sandals would be all that is needed to finish this look, she might be able to get away with adding a clutch but I am not sure that it is needed.
