2015 London Film Festival: "Trumbo" Premiere Wish List

Elle Fanning actually wowed me on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival and I am hoping that her wonderful red carpet mojo will travel across the pond for the 2015 London Film Festival and the premiere of "Trumbo." I picked this beautiful gold Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture princess ball gown with its intricate embroidery for her to wear for her big night. This beautiful gown deserves a red carpet moment and I believe that Elle is absolutely the perfect person to give this gown its outing. Finish this look with a top bun, dewy make-up, and gold sandals and Elle will have another amazing red carpet look on her hands.
I figure it will be a custom Dolce & Gabbana or Badgley Mischka gown on the London Film Festival red carpet premiere of "Trumbo" for Helen Mirren. As much as I love those brands and Helen I lust for something more from the 70 year old actress. I picked this Jacques Azagury Fall 2015 Couture silk brocade cap sleeve structured gown for her to wear. This is a gown suitable for a red carpet queen, which is exactly what Helen is. I believe that this gown paired with a red lip, navy Ferragamo pumps, diamond & sapphire cluster earrings, and a blue silk clutch would be a beautiful welcome moment for Helen on this red carpet.

2015 London Film Festival: "The Lobster" Premiere Wish List

Next Tuesday (October 13) "The Lobster" will premiere at the 2015 BFI London Film Festival. After a huge reception at the Cannes Film Festival in May I am excited to see what the stars will bring to the red carpet in London. Lea Seydoux skipped out on attending the films premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, and with a full load coming up promoting "Spectre" I am not so sure that she will be in London either. If she does I would love to see Lea step out of her Prada/Miu Miu box and rock this red floral embroidered Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture sleeveless ankle length gown. Lea has been front row at a few of Raf Simons runway presentations for Dior Couture and I think that this would be an amazing break from her Prada/Miu Miu loyalty (though she is the only one with a 100% record of fabulous Prada/Miu Miu gowns.) Finished with a sleek hair, a light pink lip, and a pair of simple silver sandals and Lea would have a perfect red carpet moment.
Rachel Weisz has been having a wonderful red carpet run this year having made some beautiful choices during Cannes and TIFF. For the LFF premiere of "The Lobster" I would love to see Rachel wear this black Antonio Berardi Spring 2016 RTW spaghetti strap gown which is made less than basic by the beautiful crystal detailing down both sides! Rachel has such a banging body and this gown would hug every single one of her beautiful curves. Finish the look with a chic low bun, a red lip, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps would give this look a classic Audrey Hepburn finish for a film festival red carpet.

2015 London Film Festival: "High Rise" Premiere Wish List

Sienna Miller started promoting "High Rise" last month at the San Sebastian Film Festival, and after a GLORIOUS run at the Cannes Film Festival, where her wardrobe really disappointed me. I hope that when she steps out to promote the film at the 2015 London Film Festival on Friday that she does so on a high note. I picked this beautiful and yet demurely sexy Schiaparelli Fall 2015 Couture black sheer chiffon long sleeved gown with a gold embellished starburst from the chest. It is an absolutely stunning creation and I think that this hyper glam gown would mesh well with Sienna's boho astethic quite well. Finish the look with simple styling including Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals in black, a 20's finger wave bob, and a red lip to ensure that Sienna leaves competition on the red carpet at the London Film Festival in the dust.

2015 London Film Festival: "Black Mass" Premiere Wish List

I saw "Black Mass" a few weeks ago and it was one of the best films that I have seen in a very long time. With that being said I have been kinda loving some of the looks that Dakota Johnson has been wearing on the red carpet while promoting this film. For the London Film Festival premiere of the film I would love to see Dakota wear this marigold sweetheart lace and floral embroidered Oscar de la Renta Resort 2016 strapless crepe bustier cocktail dress. I think that this dress is a perfect for the London Film Festival, especially since the film is already released in the US market. I don't expect to see Dakota wearing gowns like she did at Venice or Toronto. I would keep the runway styling with the black belt, black simple sandals, soft waves, and punch it up with a red lip to ensure that Dakota had a perfect red carpet moment at the London Film Festival.

2015 London Film Festival: "Carol" Premiere Wish List

Having not really seen Cate Blanchett on the red carpet since the Cannes Film Festival I am excited that she is being honored at the London Film Festival and is guaranteed to show up. I have missed my red carpet queen and her return will undoubtedly be triumphant. For the "Carol" premiere I would love to see Cate wear this amazing oil slick inspired sequined jacket paired with midnight blue velvet pants from the Armani Prive Fall 2015 Couture collection. Cate and Armani are always a match made in heaven and I am sure that one of her appearances at the London Film Festival will be in Armani. I picked this ensemble because it mixes sex appeal, masculinity, and femininity in such a chic and elegant way that only Cate could pull off. Finish this look with a sleek hairstyle, a bold pink lip, a pair of black pumps, and a purple clutch and Cate will undoubtedly wow on the red carpet.
At the Cannes Film Festival photocall and premiere of "Carol" it was a play on dark and light between Cate and Rooney. I am figuring that same play will be on display in London as well. I searched up and down for the perfect look for Rooney and when I saw that this white Proenza Schouler Spring 2016 RTW ruffled dress with black trim I knew that I had found the perfect look for her to wear on the London red carpet. Rooney does Audrey Hepburn with an edge like no other and I am sure that she would make this dress her own. A pair of simple black sandals and a simple bun is perfect way to style this look for London Film Festival red carpet.

2014 London Film Festival: "Wild" Premiere Wish List

Recently we have seen Reese Witherspoon donning a lot of black for her red carpet appearances and while they have been okay nothing has wowed me. I am hoping that when Reese chooses her ensemble for the London Film Festival and her May Fair Hotel Gala premiere of "Wild" that she goes for high impact and color. This is why I picked this pale pink Antonio Berardi Spring 2015 RTW sleeveless silk organza gown that features a fully embroidered attached cape. This is a simple gown from the front but definitely has a dramatic back. A pair of light gold Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' platform sandals, a light pink Edie Parker 'Lara' clutch, some Van Cleef & Arpels Pierres de Caractère Precious Light earrings, and a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels gold and diamond chain link bracelet would be the perfect accessories to compliment this ensemble. Finish the look with an old Hollywood up-do, simple eye makeup, and a red lip so that it will be sure that Reese has the perfect rec carpet moment on the London Film Festival Red carpet.

2014 London Film Festival: "The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom" Premiere Wish List

Fan Bingbing has been virtually nonexistent int he world of the red carpet, she surprisingly skipped Cannes this year despite being a L'Oreal Paris brand ambassador. I have missed her certain brand of red carpet drama. She only holds 3 best dressed looks this entire year so I am praying at her London Film Festival Cult Gala premiere of "The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom" that Fan brings it -to the red carpet. This bordeaux Stephane Rolland Fall 2014 Couture ball gown that features sheer nude panels on the sleeves and bodice, sheer detailing on the skirt and  black feathers making up the hem. When it comes to the relationship between Fan and Stephane they have always been hit or miss to me but I think that this is the perfect gown for her to wear from the brand. The best thing about this look is that when Fan undoubtedly wears her black patent leather quadruple stacked platform peep toe pumps that we will be unable to see them. Finish the look with a high big bun and a red lip and Fan will rocket onto not only my best dressed of the month list but possibly the best of the year, too.

2014 London Film Festival: "Testament of Youth" Premiere Wish List

The other film that Alicia Vikander will be premiering at the 2014 London Film Festival is "Testament of Youth." This film is being premiered as a centerpiece gala and I really hope that she BRINGS it for this premiere. The very first look that we ever saw Alicia wear on the red carpet was a Rodarte gown at the "Anna Karenina" LA Premiere back in 2012. Since then Alicia has not graced the red carpet in one of the houses stunning designs and I think that it is time that that changed. I picked this stunning Rodarte Spring 2014 RTW black and purple that features a sequin embroidered bodice with wave-inspired, embroidered overlay, a black net skirt with hand crochet metal net overlay and Swarovski crystal and pearl beading embellishment throughout. This gown moved stunningly on the runway and I cannot wait for it to make a red carpet appearance. I would finish the look with a simple updo, diamond studs, fresh faced makeup, a purple Edie Parker clutch, and black Stuart Weitzman nudist sandals to ensure that this ensemble is red carpet ready.

2014 London Film Festival: "Son Of A Gun" Premiere Wish List

Alicia Vikander is premiering two films at the 2014 London Film Festival this year. London has not really been a film festival know for its red carpet glamour, even though some of the film festivals that are known for red carpets have been lacking this year. I hope Alicia brings it to at least one of her premieres. The first film that she is premiering that I am doing a wish for, the other will be tomorrow, is "Son of a Gun." The film will premiere in the Official Competition, so the premiere might be not as glamorous as the Gala premieres but Alica know how to work a red carpet. I think this silver/grey Chanel Fall 2014 Couture gown that features not so normal embellishments, concrete bits make up the bodice. I have heard that this gown is quite heavy but the skirt moves splendidly and I pray that we see this stunning creation on Alicia at her "Son of a Gun" London Film Festival Premiere.

2014 London Film Festivall: "Men, Women, & Children" Premiere Wish List

I have noticed that when she is on the road promoting her own films that Jennifer Garner does not bring the level of fashion that she does when she is playing the plus one to Ben Affleck. I don't know if it's pressure from producers or what but I feel that with each of her promo tours in the past year she has not given me anything to fall in love with. Even with that notion I still hold out hope that Jennifer will give a wow moment on the red carpet at the London Film Fest premiere of her film "Men, Women, & Children." This Jason Wu Resort 2015 modernist a-line halter gown would look stunning on Jennifer. I think that the icey blueish white color of this gown help give a clean feeling while straying away from what could look very bridal. Jason has been known to remake some of these gowns in other colors and I think that a rich royal purple would also look fantastic on Jenn. I would pair the icey blue gown with a pearl colored Edie Parker clutch, silver pumps, and simple jewels whilst switching in a pair of black pumps for the silver if the dress could be made in purple.

2014 London Film Festival: "A Little Chaos" Premiere Wish List

Kate Winslet has never been one of my favorites to see on the red carpet as she usually doesn't bring anything interesting to the event. With that in mind I picked this black dress from the Marylin Monroe inspired Jenny Packham Spring 2015 RTW collection that features crystal netting on the bodice and sleeves. This is her go to silhouette and color so that she would not be doing anything brand new which is to be expected. Wavy hair, red lips. and a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps would undoubtedly finish off this red carpet ensemble.

2014 London Film Festival: "The Imitation Game" Wish List

I am kinda shocked that while Keira Knightley was at the Toronto International Film Festival that she did not wear a single Valentino ensemble for any of her six ensembles. Because of this fact I figure that Keira will most likely bust out her other favorite designer at the 2014 London Film Festival premiere of "The Imitation Game." This film took home top honors at TIFF and is mapping its course for the Academy Awards. The film is, at this point, in the running for nods for Best Picture, Best Actor (for Benedict Cumberbatch), and Keira is a positioned for a Best Supporting Actress nod. So for London I would love to see Keira to wear this amazing red Valentino Fall 2014 Couture Grecian draped gown that features a leather waistband. This would make a simple elegant statement for a premiere at a film festival that consistently lacks glamour. I would finish this look with a simple vintage inspired hairstyle, a red lip, and simple eye make up, and a pair of red pumps will finish this stunning red carpet ensemble off for the red carpet.

2013 London Film Festival: 'The Zero Theorem' Premiere Wish List

I am sure that many do not get my fascination with Tilda Swinton, while most find her extremely unattractive I think her pale milky skin and androgynous face make her unique and gorgeous. She will be premiering two films, neither of which she has actually taken to the carpet to promote as of yet, but I am still hopeful that she will grace the 2013 London Film Festival red carpet to premiere her film, 'The Zero Theorem.' I have never seen Tilda wear a design by Giles, at least not in my realm of knowledge, but I think that this dark painted faces cape gown from the Giles Spring 2014 RTW collection is something that Tilda would just rock and make people fall in love with this look. I will admit that this dress just on the runway repulses me and it would need a very specific wearer and I believe that Tilda is that woman. She should finish the look with black and gold Saint Laurent pumps and a gold clutch and she will have a look that will leave people in shock and awe
