2015 Golden Globe Awards: Michelle, Robin, Ruth, Taylor, Uzo, & Viola Wish List

Today marks the last day of red carpet wishes for the 2015 Golden Globe Award nominees, starting tomorrow will be presenters! We are getting close ladies and gentlemen! Only 4 more days! Michelle Monaghan is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television at Sunday nights awards thanks to her HBO mini-series "True Detective." I was absolutely loving almost everything that Michelle was putting down on the red carpet last year and I am hoping that she keeps up her red carpet mojo during awards season. I picked this dramatic Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture trumpet gown with metallic lace and a portrait neckline for the actress to work as she walks the red carpet. A chic chignon, a light face of makeup, a clutch dyed to match, and a pair of gold pumps would ensure that Michelle makes a major red carpet impact.
Robin Wright is nominated Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama for her hit Netflix web series "House of Cards," again come Sunday night. Robin has recently brought a minimalist wardrobe in neutrals to the red carpet in all of her ensembles and I am predicting that is not going to change any time soon. Based on that is why I picked this cream Ralph Rucci Spring 2015 RTW crepe silk dress that features sheer mesh panels on the upper arm and just below the knee and a soft v-neckline. I think that Robin would look stunning in this gown really showcasing her mastering minimalism. Gold sandals would be all that I would add to finish this look off for the red carpet for Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.
Ruth Wilson has been slowly growing on me with her red carpet style as time runs on. I am hoping that this pattern continues at Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards where her role in the Showtime breakout hit "The Affair" has garnered her a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama. Despite the fact that I believe that Robin Wright will ultimately take home the trophy I am hoping Ruth will bring it for the Globes. I picked this navy Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture embellished ball gown with cape like blouse for this red carpet. This is a very dramatic statement for an actress not nominated for film or expected to win in her category to make but I think it is one that Ruth could and would pull off with great aplomb. A wavy bob, a red lip, and a pair of dyed to match navy sandals would make this a perfect red carpet look for Ruth and the Golden Globe Awards.
I have been in love with Taylor Schilling since her first Emmy Awards back in 2013 where she wowed in a custom white hot Thakoon gown. It was her big break into the red carpet world and her steam has not even started to slow. With a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical thanks to her hit Netflix web series "Orange Is The New Black" I am hoping that her steam doesn't slow. After donning couture for the 2014 Emmy Awards I think we are setting up to see Taylor wear an even more amazing couture look Sunday night. I would love to see her in this amazing Atelier Versace Fall 2014 Couture one shoulder white gown that features color blocking with black and silver Swarovski embellishments on the bodice and strap. Finish the look with a white clutch, and white sandals covered in crystal embellishments a red lip, a pair of short drop earrings, and a chic up-do will make sure that Taylor wins the night on the red carpet even if she doesn't take home one of the coveted Golden Globes.
Last year was a big year for Uzo Aduba. She won an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award for her role as Crazy Eyes in the Netflix series "Orange Is The New Black" and Sunday night she is nominated, and expected to win, Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. Uzo also made leaps and bounds on the red carpet, unexpectedly wowing me wearing a vampy red custom Christian Siriano gown at the 2014 Emmy Awards. I am hoping that she brings the same wow to me come Sunday night. I picked this optical white hand beaded Zac Posen Spring 2015 RTW that features a boned bustier bodice, a tonal hand embroidered and beaded panel at the front, an angular construction at the sides and pleating at the back because I think that it is time to see Uzo have a real princess moment. She is not longer a guest star and the spotlight is on her. Finish the look with some stunning statement earrings, a diamond bracelet, a pair of silver pumps, a bold red lip, and slicked back elegant hair to ensure that Uzo has a major moment on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Viola Davis killed, no pun intended, her performance as Annalise Keating in the breakout ABC drama "How To Get Away With Murder." It came as no surprise that she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama for the show. I am praying to the awards gods that she takes home the trophy because I absolutely love her in this show. I picked a bold gown for her to wear as I believe that it will be her big night. This hot pink Ralph Lauren Spring 2015 RTW silk tulle skirted gown with a t-shirt top with stunning necklace style embellishments would make for a wow moment from that actress that has really failed to light my fire as of late. A pink clutch, the runways pink sandals, and a red lip will finish this look off and almost guarantee that Viola will top best dressed lists.

If you want to join the conversation I will be joining Kelly from Dream In Lace with a live Twitter commentary on what all the stars are wearing. So please join me (@FutureStylist93) and Kelly (@DreamInLace) at about 5 PM EST for all kinds of fashion ID's and LOTS of snarky commentary.

2013 AFI Fest: 'Saving Mr Banks' Premiere Wish List

After closing the 2013 London Film Festival, the cast of 'Saving Mr. Banks' will make their way to Hollywood for the AFI (American Film Institute) Festival opening where they will present the film once again. I think that this dove grey Jenny Packham Spring 2014 RTW peasant dress with ruby red embroidery. I think that this is a simple dress that is perfect for the 54 year old British actress. We don't see a whole lot of Emma on the red carpet and I am not the biggest fan of her wardrobe. This dress would be a pretty change from the very grandmumsy clothes that she usually wears. A pair of silver satin Ferragamo pumps would be the perfect finishing touch to complete this ensemble.
I have not gotten the hype behind Ruth Wilson. After one great look in McQ by Alexander McQueen last year she has failed to really excite. I am hoping when she takes to the red carpet at the AFI Fest opening gala premiere of 'Saving Mr Banks' that she goes softer and turns down the bitch face that she tends to put on when she takes to the red carpet. For this premiere I think that this silvery ice blue Jason Wu Spring 2014 RTW one shoulder origami draped cocktail dress would be the perfect look for Ruth to don for this red carpet. Complete the look with a bold blue clutch and a pair of silver sandals and I think that I might like this look from her.

2013 London Film Festival: 'Locke' Premiere Wish List

At the Venice Film Festival premiere of her film 'Locke' Ruth Wilson, who has caught the attention of several high end brands, was sadly not on the red carpet. While she did not take to that red carpet I am hoping that she will at the films premiere in her home country during the 2013 London Film Festival. For this premiere, which is one of two her film Saving Mr. Banks is closing the festival, I am imagining that Ruth will wear something a little more subdued that she will to the festivals closing. I think that this black embellished Elie Saab Resort 2014 lace gown should be directly in her sights as she chooses what she will wear to grace the red carpet. Finish the look with a black and gold Jimmy Choo 'Tube' clutch and a pair of black satin sandals and Ruth will have the prefect look for the 2013 London Film Festival premiere of 'Locke.'

2013 Venice Film Festival: 'Locke' Photocall and Premiere Wish List

Ruth Wilson, who made her American film debut in 'The Lone Ranger' this year, has one of her latest films 'Locke' premiering during the 2013 Venice Film Festival. Prior to the big red carpet premiere of 'Locke' Ruth will have to jump through the hoops of a photocall and press conference. For these events a much more casual look is needed and I think that this navy Vionnet Fall 2013 RTW dress is perfect for this event. I think that this dress is such a fun yet professional look with the one caped sleeve and Ruth would look really elegant in this design. I would finish this look with a pair of navy and gold Charlotte Olympia platform pumps to keep the look simple for the occasion.
Just after all the proceedings wrap up with the press conference and photocall Ruth will have to dash back to her hotel suite in Venice and undergo a complete transformation into her glamorous red carpet ensemble. I would love to see her change into this emerald green Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture embellished ball gown. Ruth has been building up her red carpet repoitare with big name brands like Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior Couture, Chanel, and Balenciaga. I would love to see her go big in this Elie Saab for the big premiere. I would just add a pair of the matching Elie Saab green satin pumps and some Bulgari yellow gold and diamond jewelery around her wrist and in her ears to complete this amazing look for the 2013 Venice Film Festival.
And here again we have another wish for 2013 Venice Film Festival jury member Virginie Ledoyen. In 2012 Virginie premiered her film 'Farewell, My Queen' alongside co-stars Diane Kruger and Lea Seydoux wearing a Chanel couture ensemble. While this may not be her best look, in fact it was far from it, she was able to add the couture house to her list of contacts. During Fall 2013 Couture Fashion Week in Paris at the beginning of last month Virginie was spotted front row at the Chanel Fall 2013 Couture show and I am sure that one of her red carpet looks will come courtesy of the brand. I think that this amazing silver Chanel Fall 2013 Couture gown would be a perfect look for this amazing film festival. I would make sure that this gown hit the floor. Paired with a silver clutch, a pair of silver satin Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe pumps, and some simple diamond dazzlers to complete this look for the Venice Film Festival jury member.

'The Lone Ranger' London Premiere Wish List

I was actually rather pleased when the stars of the new Disney adapation of 'The Lone Ranger' took to the red carpet at Disney's California Adventure to for the big premiere of this film as they really took the standard for a Disney premiere and raised the bar. Armie Hammer who appears in the film as the title character took to the red carpet wearing a pink linen suit by Tom Ford. I have to say that this will almost 100% be in my Top 10 Menswear Looks of 2013 because he Really took the effort and stepped out of the navy/grey/black/tan suit regiment that most of the men in Hollywood are stuck in and took a risk. For the London premiere of this film on Sunday July 21st I would love to see Armie take yet another red carpet risk and go for this very bold blue Tom Ford Spring 2014 Menswear suit styled the exact same way it is on the runway sans the shoes I would go for a pair of black lace up oxfords to give this look a polished finish so that Armie will continue to shine.
Ruth Wilson really jettisoned onto the red carpet scene last year at the 2012 Olivier Awards when she stepped out in a stunning McQ Fall 2012 RTW ankle length ball gown and she has continued to do so wearing Dior Couture, Jason Wu, and Alexander McQueen in the year since she made her first major appearance. For the London premiere of 'The Lone Ranger' Mrs Wilson will be back on her home turf so I am hoping that the level of glamour stays high with this amazing black and white Michael Kors Resort 2014 gown. This gown is absolutely amazing with its embellishments that just seem to mix with the minimalist design of the look which is a challenge not mastered by many. Ruth would look fantastic waltzing down the red carpet at the Odeon Cinema in Leicester Square in London in this creation. Complete the look with a black satin Prada box clutch and a pair of satin Jimmy Choo sandals and Ruth may just have a spot on the Ones To Watch or Best Newcomer list!
