2016 BAFTA Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 2

I don't actually know if Gugu Mbatha-Raw will take to the red carpet at the 2016 BAFTA Awards on Sunday night, but since she was on hand to announce the nominations I would say that the chances are pretty strong. Gugu is one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet because she is so chic and lady like with all of her red carpet outings. I would absolutely adore seeing Gugu wearing this lilac Armani Prive Spring 2016 Couture straplesses gown with a visual bodice and and textured column skirt. This gown is one of my absolute favorite looks from the Armani Prive Spring 2016 Couture collection and I am hoping that someone snatches it up for a red carpet and I think that Gugu would look absolutely amazing wearing this gown. Hair styled in natural curls, a pink lip, silver clutch, silver sandals, and a pair of diamond drop earrings would ensure that she will glow on the red carpet.
Kate Winslet still hasn't given me any surprises in her red carpet options, except that she hasn't worn black yet. All of her looks have been extremely fitted with a little flare at the bottom, her signature, and I am not expecting to see that change any time soon. I picked this strapless Alexis Mabille Spring 2016 Couture fitted tuxedo inspired gown for Kate to wear on the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards because it adds a little visual interest to her rather plain and boring style. Finish this look with a sleek up do, a pair of diamond drop earrings, a red lip, and a pair of black satin peep toe pumps and Kate will have another sophisticated red carpet look on her hands.
My wish for Rooney Mara to wear this black, white, and navy Rodarte Spring 2016 RTW gown is definitely quite out there for the star who tends to stick to head to toe black, white, or nude. Rooney has not given me a single red carpet look this awards season that I have actually liked but I think that if she paired up with this Rodarte gown that she could have a showstopping moment on the red carpet. I think that the style of this silk velvet lace gown is perfect and the addition of the asymmetric neck with a single shoulder design, silk leaf embroidery cascading across the bodice, and a floor length a-line silhouette with layers of sheer fringed lace around the hem that Rooney would look stunning. I don't know why I have not thought of pairing Rooney and Rodarte before but then again she does stick to her small arsenal of designers which include Givenchy, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and Lanvin. This gown needs a chic sleek chignon, a red lip, and a pair of black sandals to allow for this statement gown to shine all on it's own on the red carpet.
Saoirse Ronan has been pretty but underwhelming all awards season for the most part and I am hoping that when she steps out for the BAFTA Awards that the Irish actress will deliver her best look yet. I think that this white Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture sleeveless lace bodice and sheer chiffon skirted gown would be the perfect look for Saoirse to wear on the BAFTA red carpet on Sunday night. Classic glamour is definitely something that Saoirse has been trying to work recently and this look is more modern glam with a classic twist. The key to making this a standout red carpet look is all in the styling. I would style Saoirse's hair into Veronica Lake waves strewn over one shoulder, add a pink lip, diamond cluster earrings, and a pair of strappy silver sandals to keep this look chic and modern but still classic all at the same time.

#Oscars2016: Academy Award Nominees Luncheon Wish List Part 1

IT'S HERE! MY FIRST OSCARS WISH LIST IS FINALLY HERE! The race to the Oscars has been on since the Palm Springs International Film Festival Black Tie Awards Gala early last month but the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon is the first time we will see all the nominees together to celebrate the occasion. Alicia Vikander, favorite to win the Best Supporting Actress trophy, has been blazing through awards season like a girl on fire. I am already anticipating what she will wear for the Oscars red carpet, but that is a different post. For the Nominees Luncheon I would love to see Alicia wearing this Louis Vuitton Spring 2016 RTW pinstripe dress. Alicia is the perfect LV ambassador as I don't think she has had a single misstep in the brand, though most of her looks are custom made for her. This business meets edgy look is perfect for Alicia to wear on the red carpet for the only relaxed occasion during the race to the Oscars. What really would punctuate this as a perfect red carpet look would be a pair of strappy black sandals, hair in loose waves pushed back behind her ears, and relaxed elegant makeup.
Brie Larson is the expected winner for the Best Actress trophy and I have to say that she has been the breakout star this season. I had high hopes for Alicia (and she has met and exceed them) but I did not have high expectations for Brie. Her amazing gold Calvin Klein gown at the Golden Globe Awards followed by the amazing hot off the runway Atelier Versace gown she wore for the Screen Actors Guild Awards were just precursors to her taking to the Oscar red carpet and my hopes are now set very high for Brie's Oscar gown. For the Nominees Luncheon I would love to see Brie wearing this black and white floral print Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2016 which features a cutout on the chest. I think that this classic dress with that cutout makes for a modern take on classic dressing. Not many women would be brave enough to wear this dress during the day but I think that Brie is for sure. While the pattern on this dress is very bold I would still add another bold statement via a pair of hot pink Christian Louboutin 'Pigalle' patent leather pointed toe pumps and a light pink lip to help Brie keep making red carpet hits.
Cate Blanchett has sadly disappointing me and I am preparing myself not to enjoy her red carpet styling over the final stretch of the race to the Oscars. I will continue to make my wishes with what I usually expect Cate to wear. For the Nominees Luncheon I would love to see Cate wearing this multi print Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2016 cap sleeve dress on the red carpet. I think that Cate would look absolutely fantastic in this dress and not let the busy pattern wear her. The classic 40's inspired silhouette and all the random abstract embroidered pattern reminds me of classic Elsa Schiaparelli designs from the era. With such a busy pattern I would keep this look simply styled with just a pair of red pumps, hair chicly pulled back, & a red lip to ensure that Cate is back at her best.
I got a little spark of interest from Jennifer Lawrence when she stepped out at the Golden Globe Awards wearing a bold modern custom Cristian Dior Couture red gown, although her Versace after party look look dulled that spark. I am hoping that Jennifer keeps the magic of her red gown alive with this black and white Christian Dior Spring 2016 Couture mini dress. I believe that while not many people would be brave enough to wear couture during the day I think that this dress is perfect for this occasion and in tune with the vibe of the collection. I want Jennifer to go high glam with all of her red carpet appearances from here on out. Chic loose waves, a pink lip, and a pair of silver pumps would ensure that JLaw kills the red carpet at the Nominees Luncheon.
I am expecting that Kate Winslet will most likely be in a fitted cap sleeved dress by the likes of Victoria Beckham or Tom Ford on the red carpet at the Academy Award Nominees Luncheon. Kate has a very standard look that she wears on the red carpet and rarely steps out of that small box. With this wish for Kate to wear this navy needle point jacquard Roland Mouret Spring 2016 RTW dress which features a slight a-line silhouette with a deep v-neckline and off the shoulder detail, a capeline back panel and a diamond back cutout, is asking her to step out of her fitted comfort zone. While the style of the dress is might not be her typical dress the navy color is which I think would make for this being an amazing moment for Kate on the red carpet. Finish the look with wavy locks, a pink lip, and a pair of nude sandals and Kate will for sure have a personal best on the red carpet.

2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Nominee Wish List

The 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards are just a week away! I am excited that, aside from tonight's Critics Choice Awards, that the stars will be back out in full force for the next major stop on the road to the Oscars. Alicia Vikander is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for The Danish Girl, unlike at the Golden Globe Awards where she was nominated in the Lead Actress category. I think that this makes a stronger case for Alicia as the competition is not as strong. As a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton I am intrigued to see what Alicia will bring to the red carpet, and her white sequined Louis Vuitton gown at the Globes was quite enchanting. I am not so sure that she will wear Louis Vuitton again until the Oscars but if she does I would pick this gold suede Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 runway gown as it is that chic elegant style that Alicia tends to favor, though I would imagine that it would be a custom gown probably based on the Spring 2016 RTW collection. Alicia really is the only person that can consistently bring a Louis Vuitton look of the perfection to the red carpet so I really hope that continues to be the case.
Kate Winslet, surprisingly, took home the Best Supporting Actress award for Steve Jobs at the 2016 Golden Globes last Sunday and I am interested to see how she will fair with a completely different panel of women she is nominated against. Kate is very cut and dry with her red carpet style; it is always fitted and usually in black, blue, champagne, and green. I am not really very interested in her red carpet style but I think that she would look very beautiful wearing this Antonio Berardi Spring 2016 RTW features a scoop neck with jewel embellishments at the bodice sides and a reverse wraparound silhouette with a long fluid column skirt. The looks fitted silhouette is a Kate Winslet approved standard and the jeweled embellishments on the sides make it something that is a little more than the Kate Winslet standard. Finish with a black clutch, a pair of black pumps, a pair of Tiffany & Co. diamond drop earrings, and a red lip would ensure that Kate has a very beautiful red carpet moment at the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
I was in the minority of not liking the floral Lanvin ballgown that Rachel McAdams wore on the red carpet at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards a week ago. I am interested to see what she will wear for the the red carpet at the SAG Awards since she is actually nominated for her film Spotlight. I picked this chic lemon yellow Naeem Khan Spring 2016 RTW twisted halter neck silk chiffon gown which features an illusion cutout bodice and a ruffle detailed skirt. I think that this is such an elegant look for Rachel as I have fallen out of love with her red carpet style and this would help me get back in groove with this look. Paired with a gold Rauwolf octagon cut gemstone clutch, a pair of gold sandals, a pair of yellow diamond drop earrings this would be quite the beautiful red carpet look.
Rounding out this wishlist is Rooney Mara, who like Alicia Vikander is going to be making this category tougher after campaigning in the lead category at the Golden Globe Awards. Rooney has yet to give me a moment where I say wow and I am hoping that we start taking baby steps to getting there. I picked this black Chanel Fall 2015 Couture sleeveless gown which features crystal embellishment and a tiered silk organza paneled high low gown. I have been waiting to see this gown on the red carpet and though I originally imagined it on someone with a lot of presence like Diane Kruger but I think Rooney's subtle sophistication that this could be a very chic moment a la Audrey Hepburn. Keep the look very simple with a sleek pony (not the bubble thing that she had at the Golden Globes), a pair of black sandals, a red lip, and a pair of chic diamond drop earrings and this just might be a look that I can get excited about.

2016 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet Wish List Part 2

I was underwhelmed (as per usual) by Eva Green on the Golden Globes red carpet this past weekend (even though she was wearing Elie Saab Couture) and I am going to give her one more chance to redeem herself at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday night. Nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her Showtime series Penny Dreadful I would love to see Eva wearing some color on the red carpet so that mean she would most likely wear a jewel tone so why not this ruby red Jenny Packham Resort 2016 batwing beaded gown? I think that the relaxed glamour of this silhouette (and it's color being one that Eva prefers) is exactly what I would love to see Eva wearing on the Critics Choice red carpet. Where this look that the potential to go bad is in the styling. A pair of black sandals, old Hollywood waves, a red lip, and a pair of diamond drop earrings would ensure that Eva has a top notch look on the Critics Choice Awards red carpet.
We haven't seen Hayden Panettiere on the red carpet in a hot minute and I am interested to see if she is going to show up at the Critics Choice Awards this weekend where she is nominated for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for the hit ABC show Nashville. This would be Hayden's first major red carpet since she gave birth and what better platform to show off a rocking post-baby body? I think that this lemon yellow Naeem Khan Spring 2016 RTW twisted halter silk chiffon gown would look amazing on Hayden for this red carpet. I love that the bodice is fitted and flares out ethereally from the hips. A chic classic silhouette in a bold color is a perfect way to get back into the red carpet game. Finish this look with a pair of gold sandals, a yellow clutch, and a pair of yellow diamond earrings to ensure that Hayden has a beautiful red carpet look at the Critics Choice Awards.
The ever elegant Helen Mirren is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Critics Choice Movie Awards thanks to her work on the film Trumbo. I always find delight in Helen's formal red carpet ensembles and I am sure that her gown for the Critics Choice Awards. I picked this navy blue and black Akris Pre-Fall 2016 a-line embellished sleeveless gown for Helen to wear on the red carpet. Akris is not usually a brand that we see Helen wearing on the red carpet but I think that this gown would look amazing on her. I would imagine that Helen would have navy blue sheer sleeves added to this look to make it a little more sophisticated for her. If Helen finished this look with a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings, a navy clutch, navy pumps, and a red lip this could possibly be one of my favorite looks from the 70 year old actress.
Jennifer Lawrence delivered her best ever look on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards this past week so I have a high expectation for her at the Critics Choice Awards. The actress, who won the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical/Comedy at the Globes, is nominated for Best Actress and Best Actress in a Comedy for Joy and Best Actress in an Action Movie for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and I am really hoping she wow's me. I picked this gold Cushnie Et Ochs Pre-Fall 2015 "Zahara" draped silk charmuse gown for JLaw to wear for the Critics red carpet. While not as impact making as her red Dior Couture from the Globes this gown is chic and elegant, with a dash of refined glamour which is perfect for the Critics Choice Awards red carpet. Keeping the look ever glamorous with a pair of yellow diamond drop earrings, a gold clutch, a pair of gold sandals, chic waves, and a fresh face of makeup will ensure that Jennifer keeps up a great red carpet streak.
Finally for today is my wish for Critics Choice Award nominee for Best Supporting Actress, and Golden Globe Award winning, Kate Winslet. I tend to get bored of Kate on the red carpet. She has a very cut and dry standard of wearing fitted looks on the red carpet (which she strays from very rarely) and I don't see that changing anytime soon. With that in mind I would still very much love to see Kate wear this emerald Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2016 double face duchesse satin strapless gown which features a mermaid silhouette with a structured bodice and a curved neckline. It has been a hot minute since I remember seeing Kate wearing a Zac Posen gown which surprises me because their red carpet MO's are the same. Keep the look chic with old Hollywood waves over one shoulder, a red lip, diamond drop earrings, and a pair of dyed to match pumps would ensure that Kate doesn't bore me on the red carpet.

2016 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala Red Carpet Rundown

2016 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala Red Carpet
Awards season 2016 officially kicked off on Saturday night with the red carpet of the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala. Some of the stars brought it, like Cate Blanchett in Marc Jacobs and Brie Larson in Jason Wu, while others fell flat, like Rooney Mara in Lanvin and Amber Heard in Dolce & Gabbana, and Saoirse Ronan was all kinds of crazy in Duro Olowu. This red carpet did just enough to keep me wanting more. I will be tweeting out outfits from the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night and then I will be live-tweeting the Golden Globes red carpet and show with my partner in snark Kelly from Dream In Lace. I will also be posting to Instagram and Snapchat (@futurestylist93 on both), so make sure you are following along there! Happy awards season everyone, hopefully lots of glamour and just a little fug are in our future.

2016 Golden Globe Awards: Best Performance by an Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Nominees Wish List

I have had some people in my past say that I don't get excited for the women over 40 as much as I do for the young starlets. While I can say that I usually find women over 40 have found their style and usually stick to it, tried and true, there are quite a few of the older women in Hollywood that I just wait with bated breath to see on the red carpet. Two of them are featured in this post and of the other two I don't know much about her style and the other knows how to throw impact mixed with her tried and true. At 70, Helen Mirren still knows how to work it. I am hoping thought that come the 2016 Golden Globe Awards next Sunday that Helen doesn't stick to her love of all things Dolce & Gabbana. I have seen her wearing enough of those lace cocktail and evening dresses to last me a lifetime. I picked this indigo micro pleated J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2016 which features lace sleeves and a lace back. I think that this look personifies sophisticated sexy and that is what Helen loves to bring to the red carpet. While I do think that Helen should have just an inch or two of the plunging neckline raised, I still think that she could rock this look better than some of her 20 something counterparts. Finished with a pair of black Ferragamo satin peep toe pumps and diamond cluster earrings this would be a major moment, of something different, for Helen on this red carpet.
Name one other celebrity who at almost 80 still rocks the red carpet in amazing high label designer creations that are borrowed or custom made for her from the likes of Cavalli, Versace, Valentino, Balmain, and Saint Laurent. I can't think of anyone other than the beautiful and sexy Jane Fonda, who at 78 shows women more than half her age how its truly done. While I was not a fan of the looks that she wore while promoting her film Youth, which earned her a nomination, I am still excited to see what Jane is going to bring to the red carpet. There were many options that I could have gone with as the first look I would love to see Jane wearing, and I love when sexy Jane comes out to play, but ultimately I went with this metallic copper Ralph & Russo Fall 2015 Couture long sleeve gown which features an embellished lace blouse and a pleated skirt. This gown offers elegance and a refined sophisticated chic that I know Jane could pull off. Styled with a copper Roger Vivier clutch and a pair of copper peep toe pumps this look would be perfect for the Golden Globes red carpet.
It is The Hateful Eight's Jennifer Jason Leigh that I am interested to see in what direction she takes her red carpet dressing. I am not so sure about how she will go because I haven't seen much of her on the red carpets, I didn't even see her at the films premiere. I know that she ill probably pick a refined moment for this red carpet as we haven't seen her in a gown yet, but with all the heavy hitters that she is nominated with she is going to have to learn how to step up her game. I picked this azure blue and white Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 RTW guipure lace bodice and crepe skirt for Jennifer to wear on the Globes red carpet. I honestly just picked a chic run of the mill dress for Jennifer because I don't know who she is on the red carpet yet. I would hope that if she wore something like this that she would accessorize with a blue Edie Parker clutch, a pair of silver pumps, and a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings and finish out with old Hollywood waves and a red lip to ensure that she has a beautiful moment on the red carpet that will hopefully keep me interested.
Last but not least for the Motion Picture nominees is Kate Winslet who is nominated for her supporting role in the film Steve Jobs. Kate has a tried and true method of red carpet dressing. It is usually black and always fitted from a bevy of her designer friends. I am hoping that next Saturday that Kate takes a little step outside of her box and wears this intricately beaded Jenny Packham Spring 2016 RTW cap sleeve gown. Kate is not usually one to go for something that is so busy but I think that in a favored silhouette and brand of hers (she has worn similar shaped Jenny Packham gowns before) that she should take the risk. I think that by making such an embellished statement is something that Kate really would shine wearing. A chic faux bob, a red lip, a black clutch, a pair of black pumps, & a pair of diamond cluster earrings would all add the perfect punctuation to this look.

will be live tweeting the Golden Globe Awards red carpet with my partner in snark Kelly from Dream In Lace on Sunday January 8, 2016 starting a 6pm. Make sure you check out Kelly's blog and then follow us both (@DreamInLace and @FutureStylist93) on Twitter. Join in on the snark and the fashion of the first major awards show of the year!

#NYFF15: "Steve Jobs" Premiere Wish List

Kate Winslet is never one of my favorites on the red carpet, as she is usually very predictable and basic. I am not reaching for the stars in predicting that Kate should wear this black and white Narciso Rodriguez sleeveless below the knee fitted dress. This gown checks all of Kate's boxes: monochromatic, hourglass fitted, knee length, & by one of her go to designers. I think that the slight print on this dress is the only thing that isn't very Kate about this look. Finished with black sandals, a black clutch, a sleek updo, and a red lip and Kate will definitely have a wonderful red carpet look.

2014 London Film Festival: "A Little Chaos" Premiere Wish List

Kate Winslet has never been one of my favorites to see on the red carpet as she usually doesn't bring anything interesting to the event. With that in mind I picked this black dress from the Marylin Monroe inspired Jenny Packham Spring 2015 RTW collection that features crystal netting on the bodice and sleeves. This is her go to silhouette and color so that she would not be doing anything brand new which is to be expected. Wavy hair, red lips. and a pair of black Christian Louboutin pumps would undoubtedly finish off this red carpet ensemble.

'Divergent' London Premiere Wish List

Shailene Woodley has gotten herself a new stylist, one of my favorites in fact, to help her through her 'Divergent' promo tour and Ilaria is working wonders on the star who I had written off and someone who I could never love a red carpet look of. Wowing me in back to back Elie Saab creations at the LA and New York premieres of the film I am hoping that we see Shailene work a new brand at the London premiere. I think that this soft lime Giorgio Armani Fall 2014 RTW strapless column gown would be an amazing choice to keep injecting glamour into her red carpet style. With hair styled a little edgy, a simple palette of makeup, a pair of simple silver sandals, and maybe a silver box clutch will make this another impactful look for Shailene.
Kate Winslet recently gave birth and I applaud her for showing off her post-baby curves at the 'Divergent' LA Premiere but I am hoping to see a softer look from the Academy Award winning actress next Monday at the London premiere of the film. Her LA look was just a little too tight for Kate's silhouette  I think that this berry colored Elie Saab Fall 2014 RTW gown would be a huge statement for the star who does not wear lots of embellishments very often. The overtly sexy slit would be toned down just the way Kate carries her self and the rest of the look is demure which would make for an amazing look. Hair pulled back into an elegant updo, a pair of black peep toe pumps, and a gold clutch would add the perfect finishing touches for this amazing red carpet look.
One person who's look I was surprised to make an impact on the 'Divergent' LA premiere red carpet was Ashley Judd. Ashley had fallen off the circuit and came back with an impactful blue Elie Saab batwing gown and I am hoping that she will be keeping up the glamour in London. This strapless Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2014 purple high-low gown would make another statement on the actress who I can tell is just loving being back in the spotlight. The pop of pink in the lining inspired the pink clutch on the runway and I think that would be a good choice for Ashley to make for the premiere as well but I would switch the lookbook black pumps for a pair of simple black strappy sandals. Very simple hair and makeup will keep the focus on the gown which is a statement in itself.

2014 Golden Globe Awards: Best Actress in a Movie - Drama Nominee Wish List

Cate Blanchett has taken a nomination for Best Actress in a Movie Drama for her work in the Woody Alan film 'Blue Jasmine' and I am most excited to see what Queen Cate will bring to the red carpet at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards on January 12th. Last year Cate was named the face of Giorgio Armani's latest fragrance 'Si' and surprisingly we have not seen her in but one Armani ensemble since that announcement. For the Golden Globe Awards I think that this amazing champagne colored Armani Prive Fall 2013 Couture gown would bring the utmost glamour to the red carpet on Cate. This dress to me is a very modern interpretation of 1930's Hollywood and this is the type of look I most love to see on Cate. A gold box clutch, a pair of gold sandals, a faux bob with old Hollywood waves, as well as a neutral makeup palette will make sure that Queen Cate reigns supreme.
I saw 'Saving Mr. Banks' last night and I have to say I can totally see where Emma Thompson earned her nomination from. While I do not know if she will take home a globe against Cate Blanchett or Sandra Bullock, but I am sure that the 54 year old actress will bring it to the red carpet either way. For this event I would love to see Emma wear this amazing green Vionnet Fall 2013 Demi-Couture fitted gown with attached cape. Many readers may know that I have a love for capes. I find something about a woman in a cape on the red carpet extremely regal which is something that I think Emma could pull off swimmingly. Finish the look with simple gold sandals, a gold box clutch, and a pair of statement yellow gold and emerald earrings to ensure a regal red carpet ensemble.
'Labor Day' may have earned Kate Winslet a Golden Globe nomination but I don't believe that she will take home a trophy. If the new mother even decides to travel to LA for this event I can see her wearing this nude beaded Jenny Packham Spring 2014 RTW gown with a deep v neck and cap sleeves. This is a perfect post baby dress because it is simple and the shape is figure flattering which is what every new mom wants. A nude clutch and gold strappy sandals along with a selection of Tiffany and Co. diamond jewels in the ear and on the wrist will ensure that Kate glows.
Last but not least for today is 'Gravity' star Sandra Bullock. From everything that I am reading its going to be a Sandy vs. Cate showdown for who takes home the Best Actress in a Movie Drama trophy at the Golden Globe Awards. Because she seems to have a 50/50 shot of taking home this award I want Sandra to be on top of her fashion game. Since 2010, when Sandy took home her first Academy Award for 'The Blind Side,' she has really learned how to dress for the red carpet. I am hoping that this awards season that Sandy really shines and pulls out all the stops for this years awards season. For the 2014 Golden Globe Awards I think that this black Marchesa Spring 2014 RTW gown with white floral embroidery is absolutely perfect for Sandra. It will make for the most amazing red carpet moment Sandy has ever had. A black Judith Leiber crystal encrusted clutch, a pair of black Saint Laurent sandals, as well as some stunning diamonds in her ears and on her wrists will make for the perfect topping to this amazing red carpet ensemble.

2012 Cesar Awards Wish List

I don't know if Berenice Bejo is going to risk missing a flight to LA for the Oscars as the 2012 Cesar Awards are held in Paris on Saturday the night before the Oscars. If she does as she is nominated for Best Actress for her role in the critically acclaimed film, 'The Artist.' Berenice has already said that she will wear Elie Saab for the Oscars but will she continue the trend set forth at last years Cesar Awards and wear an Elie Saab gown as so many did? I would like to think so, for this event I have chosen this stone colored embellished Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture gown. I think that this would look stunning on her as she wore a gown of a similar color for the 2012 SAG Awards and looked stunning. A stone colored clutch and some champagne colored peep toe pumps are all needed to let the Argentinian actress shine.
Kate Winslet has had a great run recently wearing Jenny Packham, even wearing a gown from their Fall 2012 RTW collection at the Golden Globe Awards, before the collection was showed at New York Fashion Week. Kate is set to receive the Honorary Cesar on Saturday so I am sure that she will be there. I would love to see Kate depart from her tight form fitting gowns and wear this stunning slate blue draped goddess gowns. This would be a huge departure for Kate as she tends to wear extremely fitted figure hugging gowns. This paired with a silver crystal encrusted clutch, silver strappy sandals, and some great Tiffany & Co. diamond jewelry.
Now I am not sure what event Kirsten Dunst will attend as her film 'Melencolia' is nominated at both the Independent Spirit Awards and the Cesar Awards. Each event is different in its own right has a different dress code. The Independent Spirit Awards are more cocktail causal and the Cesar is more formal gown. For this event I have chosen to dive into the Chanel Couture archives to find this stunning blue black and gold Fall 2009 Couture gown with a peplum and a tulle train. I think that this gown would look absolutely stunning against Kirsten's skin tone. To finish off this gown all I would do is pair this gown with is a pair of black sandals, no clutch, and some great gold and diamond earrings.

2012 SAG Awards Best Television Actress Drama and Movie Wish List

I am a huge fan of Diane Lane's red carpet style, and I am looking forward to seeing what she brings to the SAG awards red carpet Sunday night. I would love to see Diane wear this amazing emerald green Zac Posen Spring 2012 RTW gown and I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this color; it would photograph extremely well against the red carpet and the yellow step and repeat. An emerald green clutch, peep toe pumps, and diamond chandelier earrings and bracelets would make this look sing the most amazing song on the red carpet.
I am also a fan of Julianna Margulies on the red carpet, when she gets it right. I think that she would get it right by wearing this amazing black and white Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 RTW gown. I love this gown and do not understand why it has not been worn before this point, but oh well; more of an option for Julianna Margulies to wear for the SAG Awards. Pair this dress with a black Swarovski clutch, a pair of Christian Louboutin black strappy sandals, and minimal jewelery and she would shine on the carpet this Sunday night.
Kate Winslet wore Elie Saab to the 2011 Emmy Awards and looked absolutely stunning, so I am wishing for her to don Elie's classic designs, yet again, by wearing this royal blue frock from the Spring 2012 RTW collection. I think that this gown would look stunning on Kate, who I always love in blue (my favorite moment next to the Elie Saab at the Emmy's was the Narscio Rodriguez to the SAG's in 2009). I also think this silhouette would look stunning on Kate, who tends to favor very form fitting designs. This is much flowy-er than what she normally goes for, but I think that a change up is good for everyone from time to time. A pair of matching blue peep toes and a blue clutch with some Tiffany diamonds would look stunning on the actress.
Kyra Sedgwick is hard to predict on the red carpet because just when you think that she is gonna pull the classic card, she shifts and gives you something showstopping. Well, for the 2012 SAG Awards Sunday night, I am hoping to see Kyra as a showstopper wearing this amazing sequin Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2012 RTW gold and nude colored gown. I love this dress and I think that it would look absolutely stunning on Kyra. A simple gold clutch and a pair of gold strappy sandals would complete this amazing showstopping ensemble.

2012 Golden Globe Awards Movie Nominees Wish List

Bernice Bejo is the new girl on the block. The Argentinian beauty is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in the modern silent film hit, 'The Artist', and I am excited for her to make her awards season red carpet debut. Why, you may ask? Well, the answer to that is simple for me to answer. Bernice has developed a relationship and love affair with my favorite red carpet designer Elie Saab. This is why I am asking her to don this goldenrod yellow strapless embellished Elie Saab Spring 2012 RTW gown. I will tell you, I will be picking looks exclusively from Elie for Bernice because she has the presence to pull off his designs. A pair of gold strappy sandals and a gold crystal encrusted clutch would send this look into best dressed territory.

Charlize Theron is one that I am really excited to see return to the awards season red carpet because she does know how to bring it on the carpet. This liquid gunmetal silver color would look AMAZING on the South African star, who is nominated for Best Actress, in a Motion Picture Comedy for her role in the film, 'Young Adult.' This dress would be amazing; she might add some panels to cover up some of the exposed skin at the bottom of the top portion above the peplum. Gunmetal sandals and some stunning earrings would make this look perfect. She should not carry a bag, after all she is an Oscar winning actress, that is what assistants are for! LOL!

Glenn Close is a red carpet veteran and is no stranger to the Golden Globes red carpet. However, the change is that this year Glenn is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role as the title character in the film, 'Albert Nobbs.' I think that Glenn would look stunningly elegant in this blue Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012 gown. I think that while still being fashion forward, this is still an elegant look for Glenn, nothing to revealing just elegance. A pair of matching blue peep toe pumps and some diamond earrings would make this look shine.

I am again going to wish for Jessica Chastain to wear a yellow gown because I LOVE that color on her. This Versace Spring 2012 RTW gown would look amazing on the red headed actress, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role as Celia Foote in the hit film, 'The Help.' A gold clutch and gold strappy sandals would add just the right touch to finish off this look.

Jodie Foster is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy for her work in the film, 'Carnage', and I am really looking forward to what the two time Oscar winning actress will bring to the red carpet this year at the Golden Globe Awards. Last year, Jodie stepped out at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of the film, 'The Beaver', wearing Giorgio Armani and I am hoping that on Sunday night Jodie does so once more wearing this ice blue Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 RTW gown. I think that this paired with silver accessories, diamond chandelier earrings, and a few diamond bracelets Jodie would shine just like her Oscars.

Kate Winslet tends to favor black and nude on the red carpet, and today I am going to ask her to step out of those boxes, and try this midnight blue Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2012 gown. The Oscar winning actress, who is also nominated with her co-star Jodie Foster for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy, would look absolutely stunning in this draped gown with cap sleeves. In fact, I believe she would look like a goddess floating on cloud nine if she were to wear this. I would recommend matching strappy sandals and earrings from her go to jeweler Tiffany and Co.

Like the other day, I am wishing for Meryl Streep to put in a little bit of effort on the red carpet and since this is one of the big 3 film awards shows, I am hoping that she really does. For the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, where Meryl is nominated for her role as former British Prime Minister Margret Thatcher in the film, 'The Iron Lady', for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama. I want Meryl to don this canary yellow Vionnet Spring 2012 RTW gown. I think that this yellow would look amazing on the red carpet veteran. No clutch, gold pumps, and a fabulous necklace would be just the amount of effort for Meryl to put in to be a shining star on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams is the other actress I wish would put a little more effort in on the red carpet. She always looks so awkward on the red carpet, even when she is wearing Chanel and Dior Couture. Well if she can buck up some presence, I would love to see her wear this archive Chanel Couture gown from spring 2009. I think this is everything that Michelle usually goes for full skirt, covered up top, and a bit of visual interest. I have loved this dress for quite some time. Silver sandals and some diamond bracelets would be the perfect top to this perfect look for the actress, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy for her role as Marylin Monroe in the film, 'My Week With Marylin.'

Octavia Spencer, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in ,'The Help', is showing the world of fashion that it is okay to not be a size 2 and that curves are in. One designer that assists in helping more curvacious women dress for the red carpet is Maria Lucia Hohan, and I would just DIE if Octavia wore this one shouldered white Spring 2012 RTW gown. This gown paired with a silver clutch and sandals, paired with some amazing statement turquoise jewelery would help Octavia keep all eyes on her as she continues on her mission.

Rooney Mara is the actress that most are calling, an "Audrey-bot", meaning that she goes from wearing her dark robotic style clothes to looking elegant and classy wearing gowns and dresses that a modern day Audrey Hepburn would wear. Well, for the 2012 Golden Globes, where Rooney is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in ,"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo," I would love to see Rooney in this Azzedine Alaia Fall 2011 Couture gown. It is not out of her comfort zone, but with the current look she has, it will work with it perfectly. Simple make-up with a bold red lip and a pair of black pumps would be the perfect way to style this look. To add some frost, I would recommend a short pair of diamond earring, as I am not a huge fan of big earrings when the wearer has short hair and some diamond bracelets or rings and this look would be complete.

Shailene Woodley has made a huge splash on the film scene this year. The actress who started her career in the staring role of Amy Juergens in the hit ABC Family show, 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager'. She is now being nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in the film, 'The Descendants.' So far, whilst promoting this film, I have not seen Shailene wear a gown. In fact, I have never seen her in one, so this will be the first event that I do and I would like it to be this mint green Jenny Packham Spring 2012 RTW gown. I love Jenny's designs, as they can go from young Hollywood royalty to actual royalty like Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge. This gown paired with a silver clutch, silver strappy sandals, and some diamonds would make the new young actress sparkle.

I love to see what Tilda Swinton brings to the red carpet because it is always different. She has huge fan bases in Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Hadier Ackerman, and Jil Sander. For this event, I have chosen to put her in a white Jil Sander Spring 2012 RTW shirt gown. Now this is a long shot, as she did wear a Jil Sander white button down and yellow satin skirt to the 2011 Golden Globes, but still I am hoping to see her in it. A bright blue clutch and silver pumps along with some amazing diamonds would make this look perfect for me.

And last, but not least, for the 2012 Golden Globe Film Nominees is Viola Davis. Viola is a red carpet veteran, who until recently always looked really good on the red carpet, but towards the end of 2011 Viola has encountered a case of bad extenstions and you can tell that they are cheap becuase it looks like a wig that you could get at any halloween store. My first recomedation to her is obviously to go and get new extenstions, and then call up Naeem Khan and get this lime green Pre-Fall 2012 taffeta gown. I love when Viola wears these bright tropical colors because she has the skin tone for them. A silver clutch, silver sandals, and a great pair of diamond earrings would send Viola on to my best dressed list.
