#Emmys2015: Oustanding Actresss in a Lead Role in a Drama Series Nominee Wish List

In just under a month the biggest stars from the past year in television will be taking to the red carpet for the 2015 Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. I am excited because I think that this year will be a good year for fashion on the Emmy Awards red carpet. Claire Danes, nominated for "Homelamd," always hits home runs in the biggest designers on the red carpet and I am hoping that she continues to knock it out of the park this year. I love this dark blue and purple Armani Prive Fall 2015 Couture strapless column gown which I can only liken to an oil slick. I think that this gown is something that we haven't seen Claire wear on the red carpet and I think she would look amazing wearing. Finished with a chic up-do, a black Edie Parker clutch, a pair of simple sandals, and a pair of diamond drop earrings and this will make for a stunning red carpet moment. 

The 2015 Emmy Awards will be the last time that Elisabeth Moss will walk the red carpet as a nominee for her hit AMC series "Mad Men." The final season of "Mad Men" has garnered a lot of Emmy buzz for Elisabeth so I am sure that she will be on the red carpet in her top form. I picked this royal blue Georges Hobeika Fall 2015 Couture strapless mermaid gown which features a small embellishment via a bow belt at the waist. I think that this is a chic gown that would look elegant and timeless, a perfect look for the "Mad Men" star. Styled with a matching royal blue clutch, a pair of silver sandals, diamond cluster earrings, a chic low bun, and a red lip and Elizabeth will look positively breathtaking red carpet ensemble.

Robin Wright sticks to cream, white, and black when it comes to her red carpet dressing. I am sure that Robin will wear black on the Emmy Red carpet. I picked this Valentino Fall 2015 Couture sheer chiffon gown for Robin. I think that this gown is sexy yet very chic, with a hint of 70's disco glamour. Robin isn't expected to win this year so couture might be a little out of her reach on this red carpet. Finish with a black clutch, black Christian Louboutin pumps, and a pair of Van Cleef & Arpels yellow gold set diamond drop earrings to ensure that this is an impact making black dress.

Annalists are predicting that Taraji P. Henson has a high chance of winning the Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role in a Drama Series for her role as Cookie on the Fox series "Empire." I would love to see Taraji wear a custom Donna Karan Atelier gown in a bold color but to pick a runway look I had to go with this black and white Donna Karan Resort 2016 strapless gown with a stunning chest bow that would make this look stand out from other black and white gowns. Accessorized with a silver embellished clutch, a pair of silver embellished evening sandals, and a pair of stunning diamond drop earrings will keep the focus on the gown while adding just enough sparkle. I would love to see Taraji wear her hair up and back so that it won't compete with the bodice of the gown and finish with a red lip to ensure that she looks amazing whether she wins an Emmy or not.

"Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany has been perpetually snubbed through at last years Emmy Awards and the 2015 Golden Globe Awards so I am interested to see what she will bring to the red carpet for her first major red carpet as a nominee. This cucumber green Marchesa Resort 2016 one shoulder sculpted gown would be a very elegant option for Tatiana to wear on the Emmy Awards red carpet. While she is not excepted to win she still needs to put her best foot forward and to do so I would add a pair of metallic gold Christian Louboutin sandals, a metallic gold clutch, and some simple diamond cluster earrings set in yellow gold. Finished with a chic low bun and a light pink lip and I know that Tatiana will be a dark horse to keep and eye out for.

Finally for today I am wishing that "How To Get Away With Murder" star Viola Davis to wear this pink Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture sleeveless ball gown. Viola is in a tight race with annalists against Taraji P. Henson for the Emmy Award and I am expecting that both will be on tip top form when they step on to the red carpet. I personally love Viola in "HTGAWM" so she is the one that I am pulling for and I am hoping that she takes home the trophy. I think that this is a dramatic gown that I have picked for Viola, some might say that it is to much for the Emmy Awards, but I believe that this is a look befitting a winner. Finished with gold sandals, gold clutch, and a pair of cluster diamond earrings and Viola will look amazing on the red carpet which ever way the trophy goes.

"Wish I Was Here" LA Premiere Wish List

Monday at the theater at the Directors Guild of America in LA the stars of "Wish I Was Here" will take to the red carpet to premiere the film. Kate Hudson is among the cast I am EXTREMELY excited to see what she is going to wear. Kate has had a fantastic year thus far style wise and I am hoping that it is kept up come Monday night. This creamy pink and fuchsia Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 Couture mini dress is perfect for this red carpet appearance. This gown would show off Kate's stunning legs while being extremely sexy and sophisticated all at the same time. I would finish this look with a dyed to match fuchsia platform sandals and a gold minaudiere. Hair and makeup wise I would have Kate style her hair in an up-do with simple eye makeup and a light pink lip to ensure that she looks as sexy as ever.

Runway Report: Donna Karan Resort 2015

After not being thrilled with the Fall 2014 RTW collection, Donna Karan has given me an absolutely breathtaking collection for Resort 2015. I am loving everything about this absolutely stunning collection. This Resort collection can go from the streets to the wedding aisle and can get in basically anywhere in between. While since the launch of Donna Karan Atelier there have been less and less gowns from the Donna Karan runways taking to the red carpet. It would be sin for these creations to not get their day in the light. Stone grey, gold, black, peach, and lemon made this an elegant and breezy collection that would look absolutely stunning on and off the red carpets of the world.

2013 London Film Festival: 'Gravity' Premiere Wish List

I have to applaud Sandra Bullock for taking steps out of her realm of dressing and wearing exciting looks while she has been making the rounds promoting her latest film 'Gravity' on the Film Festival circut. This film is giving Sandy a lot of potential Oscar buzz and she has already been announced as the recipient of the Hollywood Actress Award for the Hollywood Film Awards which will take place on October 21st. Before she takes to that red carpet though she will take to the red carpet at the London Film Festival for yet another premiere for this film following ones at the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals. For this premiere I am hoping that we will see a little more relaxed Sandy wearing this brown Donna Karan Spring 2014 RTW strapless printed gown. I think that Sandra is one of the few actress in Hollywood that could pull this off and after a bunch of straight up glamorous looks I think she deserves a dress that is a little more laid back. Complete this look with a bronze Roger Vivier crystal clasp clutch, a pair of bronze Jimmy Choo Sandals, and hair worn in loose waves over one shoulder and Sandra will definitely have another look that will make me fall in love.

'The Family' Premiere Wish List

Dianna Agron fell off the red carpet circuit for a while but reappeared recently during the Giffoni Film Festival wearing a cute Prada printed frock to promote 'The Family' at the festival. If there is a big premiere anywhere in the world, one is not slated in LA or London to my knowledge at this moment, I think that this navy blue Carolina Herrera Resort 2014 strapless cocktail dress with a large lace hem would be the perfect look on her. The dress is simple yet lady like which is the kind of look that Dianna wears best. Complete the look with a pair of white sandals and a simple hairstyle and Dianna will definitely have a winning look on her hands.

Michelle Pfeiffer is one of those women like Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren who just seem to get better and better with age and not resort the the stereotypical old lady frocks and still know how to exude sex appeal in their fifties and sixties. For a premiere of 'The Family' I think that this black and gold Donna Karan Resort 2014 top and skirt are perfect for the 55 year old actress with out being too matronly and still keeping a hint of sex appeal. Finish the look with a pair of black pumps and a black and gold clutch and Michelle will have all eyes on her as she walks the red carpet.

2013 Emmy Awards: Oustanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Wish List

Last year a pregnant Claire Danes walked the red carpet at the Emmy Awards in a lemon yellow Lanvin gown and ultimately took home the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her hit Showtime show 'Homeland,' for which she holds the same nomination for this year. I am hoping to see Claire really return to top red carpet form after a few dull moments at the White House Corespondents Dinner and the Met Gala. I think that this strapless Atelier Versace Fall 2013 Couture blue embellished gown would be a perfect choice for the elegant blonde star. Claire's first post baby red carpet look came courtesy of Atelier Versace, and it was a total knockout, so I know that the two make a magic pair. Just a simple pair of black or silver sandals as well as some simple diamonds in her ears and on her wrist and Claire will have another winning look on her hands.

This is only the second time that I have featured Connie Britton on this site. It has only been recently that she has started garnering my attention with looks from Zac Posen, Reem Acra, and Black Halo. The star of 'Nashville' is nominated at the 2013 Emmy Awards for her work on the hit show for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and I am hoping that she really steps up on the red carpet and gives me a look to talk about. I think that this white and black Reem Acra Fall 2013 RTW floral print gown would be perfect for her for this occasion. I still can't believe that this gown hasn't been snatched up, especially on Oscar night, I was sure that some celeb would have grabbed it right off the runway. A blue clutch, black sandals, simple diamonds and a red lip would be how I finish this look off to give an attention grabbing Emmy's look.

'Mad Men' star Elisabeth Moss is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series yet again and I am hoping that she will take this opportunity to give us an amazing red carpet look which is something that we have not seen Lizzy give us in a while. I think that this navy blue Elie Saab Fall 2013 RTW gown would be a perfect but simple look with an embellished top. I think that when in doubt pick an Elie Saab creation is the way to go. There have not been a whole lot of looks in three years that I have loved from Elisabeth, the entire 'Mad Men' cast for that matter. Add a blue Edie Parker clutch, a pair of simple navy pumps, and a statement diamond cuff and Elisabeth will have a look that will look elegant and glamorous on the Emmy Awards red carpet.

Kerry Washington is one of the few that could bring the high fashion factor to the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards and I am hoping that she really does. Having been snubbed for her role as Olivia Pope in the hit NBC television show 'Scandal' at the 2012 Emmy Awards, Kerry is nominated this year for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the show this year. I am really looking forward to seeing what she will break out for the occasion. I think that this grey Valentino Fall 2013 Couture ankle length gown with black embroidery in the shape of coral. I am hoping to see her really rock this gown as it is something that I could totally see her rocking this for this event. I would finish this look off with a black Edie Parker clutch, a pair of deep berry satin pumps, and some stunning Chopard dazzlers would complete this amazing red carpet ensemble.

Michelle Dockery has been on and off this year with her red carpet choices. I loved her Alexandre Vauthier gown at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards and her Elie Saab gown at the 2013 White House Corespondents Dinner but I was really disappointed with her Louis Vuitton gown at the 2012 Emmy Awards and her Chado Ralph Rucci gown at the 2013 SAG Awards. I am hoping that Lady Mary from the PBS show 'Downton Abby' will wow on the red carpet next month when she takes to the red carpet for the 2013 Emmy Awards where she has garnered a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. I think that this pink Donna Karan Resort 2014 gown would be the perfect choice for her. When a star steps out in a Donna Karan gown on the red carpet they usually just ooze glamour and sophistication which is the formula that Michelle needs to stick to on the red carpet. A gold Kotur clutch and a pair of gold strappy sandals would complete this amazing look for the 2013 Emmy Awards red carpet.

Back before her divorce from Sean Penn, Robin Wright had moments where I loved her look and moments where I hated it. Since then she really hasn't given me anything to get really excited over or to loathe so I am hoping that the actress, who is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the Netflix original series 'House of Cards.' I am hoping that she is just saving all her best looks for the Emmy Awards and Awards Season in the spring. For the 2013 Emmy Awards I would love to see her wear this simple white Jason Wu Resort 2014 draped goddess gown. A blue Kotur snakeskin minaudiere, a pair of silver sandals, a statement diamond cuff, and a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings would be exactly what I would do to add a little spice to this glamorous ensemble for Robin for the 2013 Emmy Awards.

Back in 2010 Vera Farmiga worked the awards season circuit nominated for her work in 'Up in the Air' and in most cases looked beautiful. Lately I have really been questioning her choices, well actually ever since she went blonde I have not been a fan of hers on the red carpet. I am hoping that wearing a tried and true formula will help me grow to like her look at the 2013 Emmy Awards. L'Wren Scott is a Hollywood favorite among the likes of Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tina Fey, Amy Adams, among MANY others and I am hoping to add Vera to that list this year. This black and gold art deco L'Wren Scott Fall 2013 RTW strapless gown would look absolutely amazing on Vera for this years Emmy Awards where she is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her A&E series 'Bates Motel.' Keep the styling simple with black pumps and a black and gold Jimmy Choo 'Tube' clutch and minimal jewelry and I could potentially love her look at the 2013 Emmy Awards, but we will just have to wait and see.

2013 Golden Globe Awards Wish List: Best Actress in a TV Drama

When I chose this Nina Ricci Spring 2013 RTW dress for Claire Danes she was still pregnant and I was not sure when she was due to give birth, but she has recently given birth to a baby boy. Many will look at this wish and not understand why I am wishing for her to wear a short gown. Well I am actually wishing for Claire to wear a modified version of this dress to have it turned into a gown. I think that this blue dress from Nina Ricci would make a stunning gown and is totally something that Claire would wear in either version. Pair this gown with a blue clutch and a pair of blue peep toe pumps a small diamond earring and a collection of small diamond bracelets and this look is complete

Glenn Close has worn some things that I loved and some things that I have hated. I think that I would love her in this red and black Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013 gown. Glenn frequents wearing Zac Posen designs on the red carpet for major awards shows, she wore his gowns for the 2012 SAG and Academy Awards. I love this dress and she would be the first person to grace the red carpet in one of the designs from this collection if she was to choose this gown. A black clutch, black peep toe pumps, and some diamond accessories to finish off the look would make her sophisticated and stunning

Julianne Marguilies has started stepping out of her comfort zone of Narciso Rodriguez and L'Wren Scott designs on the red carpet, especially at the 2012 Emmy Awards where she donned a daring and risky Giambattista Valli couture floral print ball gown. Well for this event I would love to see Julianna wear this black and nude Donna Karan Resort 2013 gown. I have been dying to see this gown walk the red carpet since it was first presented in May of last year and I think that Julianna is the perfect match for this gown. Just some statement gold earrings and a pair of black peep toe pumps and she will wow the fashion world.

Michelle Dockery has yet to wow me n the red carpet after two major flops at the Met Ball wearing Ralph Lauren and the Emmy Awards wearing a custom Louis Vuitton I am hoping that the 'Downton Abby' star will finally wow me. I think that this watercolor blue print Giorgio Armani Spring 2013 RTW dress transformed into a gown would be just what she needs to wow me. Finish the look with a silver Edie Parker confetti clutch, silver Christian Loubouitn sandals, and some amazing diamond statement earrings and this looks is complete and will no doubt garner her some positive red carpet attention.

Milla Jovovich Wish List for the 'Resident Evil: Retribution' Premieres

I may not care much about any of the 'Resident Evil' films but I do love the films star Milla Jovovich on the red carpet so I can not wait for the premieres of this film. The latest installment of the film series will most likely start with a premiere in LA. For this premiere I would love to see Milla wear this grey and bronze beaded Elie Saab Fall 2012 RTW gown. I think that this gown would look amazing on Milla who would give it a dark and mysterious air about this look with her 20s's style bob and dome red lips as well as a pair of gunmetal sandals and clutch.

In London I would love to see Milla wear this Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture gown with florescant lime green accents and side cutouts that was presented back in May when Armani showed all his collections in Beijing. I think this gown while yet simple and classic in the black color palette is still quite bold with the lime green crystals and would totally accentuate Milla's dark and mysterious approach to dressing for the red carpet. Add a pair of black Prada sandals and a black Edie Parker confetti clutch and this look is set for the red carpet.

I think that this is one of those films that will have several international premieres as it is a cult classic. The final of the big 3 premieres would be in New York City where I would love to see Milla wear this Donna Karan Fall 2012 RTW red origami gown. This is the pop of color that Milla goes for every so often on the red carpet, like at this years Life Ball in Austria where she shocked wearing a vibrant lime green Atelier Versace gown. The red would look amazing on Milla's tan skin with her dark hair in its 20s finger wave type style, simple dark rimmed eyes, and a bold red lip accessorized with a gold Edie Parker clutch and then a pair of metallic gold strappy sandals and maybe a bejeweled hair band.

Michelle Obamas 2012 Campaign Trail Look Wish Lists

Also just under a month away on September 3rd the Democratic National Convention kicks off the 2012 Election campaign trail in Charlotte North Carolina. I am 100% positive that Michelle Obama will be at her husbands side as he campaigns across the United States to earn re-election for four more years in office. Michelle not only campaigns with her husband but she spends a good amount of time out campaigning for him on her own. A great look for one of these appearances is this stunning blue, white, and silver Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2012 top and skirt. I love when the First Lady wears stunning blue colors and think that this look would be a classic and elegant yet fashion forward choice. I would remove the scarf like detail because it would overwhelm Michelle and add a thin red belt to replace the thin black one that is on the model to show patriotism yet still be fashion forward.  Only thing left to add would be a pair of simple blue pumps to complete the perfect first lady look.

The next look I would love to see Michelle don while she is out on the campaign trail is this navy Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 wrap style dress with an accented black bow in the hip. I think that this gown would enhance Michelle's curves and showcase her stunning arms quite well. Michelle much like Donna did whilst styling the collection will most likely pair this dress with a chunky statement necklace but I would hope she would change her shoe choice to be a matching navy or black peep toe pump instead.

This Lela Rose Fall 2012 black and silver abstract stripe printed top paired with black pants would be perfect for an appearance in a city that is colder as this ensemble could handle a number of different color coats to add a bright pop in the dreary cold and still look fab if she was to take the coat off. I would pair this amazing ensemble with a bright fuchsia long single breasted wool trench coat, a pair of black closed toe patent leather pumps and if its really cold a pair of tight black leather gloves to shun the cold and look extremely fabulous.

One designer that I NEVER thought that I would ever see Michelle Obama wear the avant garde high fashion designer Marc Jacobs but in fact the First Lady is a HUGE fan of the designer and has worn his designs many of times for appearances. I think that for the beginning of the campaign headed into early fall that this orange and yellow Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 lace print sheath dress would be a great option. It has fall coloring but in a very elegant avant garde way and I think that Michelle would look amazing with her toffee colored complexion. I would just keep a pair of simple nude pumps to complete her look.

In 2008 Michelle Obama wore a black and red Narciso Rodriguez on the deck of President Obama's victory platform on election night in Chicago and since she has continued to wear the designer many of times. I think that this camel, fuchsia, red, white, and black color blocked dress would be an absolutely amazing option for her to don for an appearance during the election. I think that the first lady who shows that she is definitely not afraid of color would look amazing wearing this dress and I would love for her to pair this with a pair of fuchsia heels, preferably peep toes by Jimmy Choo.

Last but not least we have this red and blue abstract plaid print Peter Som Pre-Fall 2012 dress that nips in at the waist and flares out at the bottom. This is another patriotic option for the First Lady and would be stunning paired with a red cropped bolero for her appearance Election night if her husband is re-elected. Keep the thin black belt and add a pair of black peep toe pumps and the look will be complete.

2012 Emmy Awards: 'Mad Men' Cast Wish List

I have not enjoyed a Christina Hendricks red carpet outing since she stepped out in a feathered lilac Zac Posen gown at the 2010 Emmy Awards. Well the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama nominee should wow me again wearing this floral embroidered Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 strapless ball gown. I think that this gown would loom amazing on the busty full figured actress with her peachy skin an red hair. This gown was one of my favorite pieces of the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 collection and I am surprised that it has not been picked up to this point and with resort collections now available I am loosing hope that this gown will gain a red carpet moment. Finish off the look with a black clutch, black strappy sandals, a pair of drop diamond earrings, and a cuff bracelet to showcase Christina's beauty.

Elisabeth Moss has tried wearing many other brands on the red carpet including Reem Acra, Marchesa, Alberta Ferretti, J. Mendel, Herve Leger, and Oscar de la Renta, and even though these are all brilliant designers none seem to make Elisabeth shine quite like a Donna Karan design. With that knowledge I have decided that the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama nominee should grace the 2012 Emmy red carpet wearing this bright pink Donna Karan Resort 2013 gown. I chose this gown because like I said Elisabeth always wow's in a Donna design and that the pink is out of her comfort zone of cream and nude colored gowns. I would finish this look with a silver or no clutch, silver strappy sandals or peep toe pumps, and some amazing jewels including a pair of drop earrings and a statement cuff bracelet.

With the ending of 'Mad Men' comes the end of some amazing looks from January Jones. The star who has constantly wowed me on the red carpet in designs from Versace (both the ready to wear and Atelier collections), Elie Saab, Dolce & Gabbana, Andrew Gn, and many others over the years but her main loyalty has been to Versace. For the 2012 Emmy Awards I would like to see January grace the red carpet with this mesh gown and a leather bustier. I think that this would be fashion forward but with a touch of old hollywood glam infused. January's new flame red hair should be styled up into a wavy faux bob and pair this look with metallic nude sandals as well as a pair of simple drop earrings to complete this futuristic old hollywood ensemble.

Its sad that 'Mad Men' is ending because the show has just given birth to a new red carpet star in Jessica Pare. The actress who as been on the series since 2010 just started making major appearances on red carpets starting with this years Met Ball wearing a stunning L'Wren Scott gold gown. I would love to see Jessica wear this blue and black Jason Wu Resort 2013 gown with a tiered peplum for the 2012 Emmy Awards. Jessica was one of the guests of the designer at this years CFDA Awards where she wore a pink and black ensemble from his Fall 2012 RTW collection so the relationship is there. I would pair this with a metallic blue clutch and sandals as well as some amazing diamond jewerly.

Kirenan Shipka has made a splash on the red carpet for only being 12 years old. I think  that this floral embellished Valentino Resort 2013 cap sleeve blush gown would be a young elegant choice for the young actress who usually steps out in Miu Miu custom designs so it will not surprise me if she does step out in a gown by the baby sister of Prada. I would pair this Valentino gown with a champagne Miu Miu clutch as well as some gold or nude Miu Miu pumps to infuse the brand into Kiernan's look somehow.
