Gwyneth Paltrow's role as Pepper in 'Iron Man 3' has scored the blonde a Best Actress in an Action Movie nomination at the 2014 Critics Choice Awards. Gwynie gave one of the most talked about looks of the year in Antonio Berardi at the LA premiere of 'Iron Man 3.' I am hoping to see her keep the sexy going but by picking this plum colored Atelier Versace Fall 2013 Couture gown she will keep the sexy but in a subtle sophisticated way. A pair of strappy Jimmy Choo 'Madison' sandals in black, a silver Jimmy Choo crystal encrusted clutch, a pair of Atelier Versace sunburst diamond earrings, and an Atelier Versace diamond ring would be the perfect icing on top of this sexy cake.

Jennifer Lawrence has 2 nominations at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards. One for Best Supporting Actress for 'American Hustle' and another for Best Actress in an Action Movie for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,' which she won for the original earlier this year. Going through awards season as a Christian Dior spokesmodel, the Critics Choice Awards was one of the few events where she did not grab up a frock from the company that signs her checks in favor of a stunning black Prabal Gurung gown. For the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards I am hoping that it will be another night off for Dior in favor of this electric blue Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2014 RTW halter neck gown. This is the kind of dress that Jennifer needs to be wearing. As someone with an athletic build JLaw should be going more towards the sportier type ensembles. Jessica Chastain is an expected presenter at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards after taking home the Best Actress trophy at last years awards ceremony for her work in 'Zero Dark Thirty,' that also gave her an Academy Award nomination. I have been praying to see Jessica Chastain to wear one of the emerald green gowns from the Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture collection and I think that this high neck column gown with a green tulle and lace cape would be the perfect choice for the stunning red headed actress wear on the red carpet the Critics Choice Movie Awards. The dress is stunning enough on its own that all I would add to this gown is a simple pair of metallic gold sandals and her hair worn over one shoulder in a set of dramatic Veronica Lake waves.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus snagged herself a Best Actress in a Comedy nomination for her work in the film 'Enough Said' at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards. The star of the big and small screen has moments that I love her look on the red carpet and times where that love is not so much. For this awards show I think that this white KaufmanFranco Spring 2014 RTW long sleeved gown would be a simple and elegant perfect gown for Julia to don. This dress makes for a perfect back drop to add a sparkling silver and white Edie Parker chevron clutch, a pair of simple silver sandals, and maybe a pair of statement earrings will make sure that Julia wins the hearts of fashion critics everywhere.

'August: Osage County' has snagged Julia Roberts a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards. While I am praying that during the course of awards season that we do not see Julia wear black dress after black dress, after all she pulls off color like a pro, I think that this simple black Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2014 draped gown is a perfect option for the 46 year old actress. This gown is another black gown but its draping makes it interesting and I think that Julia would style it up with a pair of statement Van Cleef and Arpels vintage sapphire, diamond, and emerald earrings, a pair of simple black Casadei satin peep toe pumps, a black satin Prada box clutch, and a gold and diamond bracelet will give this look the perfect finishing touches to complete this red carpet ensemble.

2013 Cannes Film Festival: Diane Kurger and Eva Herzigova Off-Duty Style Wishes

The fun of the Cannes Film Festival doesn't all happen on the photocall terrace or the stairs of the Palais de Festivals. The sidewalks of the the exclusive town on the French Riviera are just as full of glamorous fashions. During her time at this years festivals I am looking forward to seeing what Diane Kruger has to offer to the red carpet I am also looking forward to seeing what she wears as she arrives and departs the festival via the Nice airport and on the streets for personal dinners and such. One perfect look would be this amazing Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2013 red and white patterned dress. I see Diane getting this dress and shortening it for her everyday wear. Pair it with a pair of gold cage sandal pumps and we are set for the perfect for a dinner out during the festival for Diane. For her arrival to the festival I would love to see Diane wear this Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2013 ruby colored dress. Pair this dress with a large slouchy Givenchy leather handbag with gold studded accents as well as a pair of gold flat strappy sandals and Diane will be set for a fabulous arrival.

Eva Herzigova looks nothing but the model that she is. Last year the model looks fantastic in her Dolce and Gabbana as well as her Prada looks during the festival. For this years festivals off duty ensembles for Eva I have picked two looks perfect for the French Riviera for Eva. First up I have this simple white Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 RTW dress. It is simple yet elegant in it design. Complete this look with a red Prada bowling bag and red Dolce & Gabbana lace and crystal encrusted sling back kitten heels for a perfect Cannes ensemble. The other dress is this amazing blue, black, and white Guy Laroche Fall 2013 RTW 70's inspired dress. This dress paired with a black and blue Bulgari bag and a pair of nude Jimmy Choo pointy toe pumps and Eva will shine on the luxurious sidewalks of Cannes on the French Riviera

Miranda Kerr Street Style Wish List

Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr has the sharpest street style of all of the hollywood types and she always wow's me when she steps out of her apartment to attend meetings, go grocery shopping, or even go to the DMV. Last year Miranda won the Best Sidewalk Style award and is already well on her way yo winning it again this year. Here I have three looks for Miranda to wear as she runs around town doing her day to day activities. Up first we have this brown and orange multi pattern Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2013 RTW flowy dress. This is the kind of dress I could see Miranda pairing with a bronze belt and a rust colored blazer, her orange Alexander McQueen 'Heroine' bag, and pair of brown suede Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2012 sandals also already in her closet, and of course the required sunglasses. Next we have this autumn tone Jean Paul Gaultier Pre-Fall 2013 patchwork dress. This would be a perfect look for Miranda and her skin and I am praying to see this wish come true. Pair it with her Miu Miu Fall 2012 mustard suede handbag and a pair of beige Prada leather platform cut out slingbacks. And last but not least we have the look that I would most like to see Miranda wear, this amazing Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 RTW maroon sweater and matching sequined skirt would look AMAZING on Miranda. Many would say that this skirt is too flashy for day time but paired with this cashmere sweater and the right accessories this would be the perfect day time look. What are the right accessories? Well searching through items that Miranda already owns I think that the Givenchy 'Antigona' satchel bag and a pair of Tom Ford black velvet and gold snakeskin sandals, and of course a pair of fabulous Stella McCartney retro style sunglasses.

2012 Emmy Awards: Comedy Actress Nominees

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy nominee Amy Poehler who stars in the hit comedy show Parks and Recreation does not tend to hit the red carpet high notes. Well here at If I Was A Stylist I would like to change that and I would do so by handing her this amazing orange Georges Hobeika Fall 2012 RTW gown. I think that this gown with a sequined top and chiffon skirt would make the actress look elegant as long as she has the right size top because her gowns tend to be to tight on the top. Add a gold clutch and some gold pumps and this look will be make perfect for the red carpet.

Edie Falco is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her work as the title character in Nurse Jackie. Depending on her red carpet outing Edie either is best dressed or worst dressed there is no in between. I think that this red Romona Kevesa Fall 2012 RTW long sleeved asymmetrical gown would look amazing on the star. I think that the gown is out of Edie's comfort zone of grey and black but would be a great choice. A pair of silver strappy sandals, a black clutch, and some amazing jewels this look is now red carpet ready.

HBO's new hit show 'VEEP' about a fictional female Vice President of the United States is where Julia Louise-Dreyfus gets her nomination from. This amazing grape colored Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2012 RTW draped halter neck gown. Julia usually only wears Narciso Rodriguez gowns on the red carpet should open her horizons to other gowns because if this nomination means anything to next years awards season I do not want to keep seeing these Narciso gowns on her on the carpet. I think that this color would look amazing on Julia. Add a gold bejeweled clutch and some gold pumps will make this look simple and chic.

 I think that Kristen Wiig will win the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for all of her ensemble work on the classic sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live because the star just announced her retirement from the show. I think that this black Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2013 gown with lace inserts would just hug Kristen's body. We have really seen Kristen evolve on the red carpet this year. Starting with a really bad Bill Blass nude gown at the Golden Globe awards to her stunning orange lace Stella McCartney full skirted 50's inspired cocktail dress at the Met Ball. I think that even though this is a black look that it has the potential to be Kristen's best look of the year. Add an emerald clutch, black pumps, and some amazing emerald and diamond earrings and this look would have a huge impact on the red carpet for just another black gown.

I have no real idea of who Lena Dunham is but I know she is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy thanks to her HBO show 'Girls'. At the Met Ball Lena wore an emerald green 60's inspired Stella McCartney gown that she brilliantly accessorized with bubblegum pink pumps and a black clutch. Well I would like to see Lena wear this amazing toffee/taupe Carmen Marc Valvo Fall 2012 RTW gown which instead of making her look short and dumpy like her McCartney gown, I believe would elongate her frame. I would add a Donna Karan Spring 2012 wood grain clutch and a pair of gold heel nude Lanvin Spring 2012 heels.

Tina Fey is ALWAYS nominated for an award for her role of Liz Lemon on the NBC comedy '30 Rock.' I am not sure why as I personally feel that there are far better and funnier actresses on the big screen. Well regardless of my feelings I think that Tina should once again find friends with Oscar de la Renta and wear this stunning red asymmetrical gown with a silver waist band for this years awards. I think that this gown would elongate Tina's short stature whilst giving the fashion world something to actually be interested in. A silver sandal and a silver clutch will leave fashionista's everywhere with their jaws dropped.

And last but certainly not least we have Zooey Deschanel who over the past year has really started to capture my attention with some amazing looks. Zooey is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her character Jess on the hit show, 'New Girl.' I think for this years awards I would love to see Zooey wear this silver jacquard Andrew Gn Resort 2013 ball gown because it really is a Zooey type of gown. Add a silver clutch and some silver pumps to complete the ensemble.

Cannes Film Festival: Photocall Wish List

Each day prior to the premiere of the press conference and premiere of each film there is a photocall where stars, directors, and producers gather in front of hundreds of press photographers to take promotional images. The female celebs take this look just as seriously as the actual premiere look because they will both be highly distributed. Eva Mendes is going to be promoting her film 'Holy Motors' and I think that for the photocall for this film I would love to see her wear this deep wine colored Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2012 RTW dress. I would push the sleeves up to just above the elbows add a pair of gold pumps and some amazing gold earrings.

Even non competition special screening films get photocalls. Jada Pinkett Smith is in the non-competition film 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted' and I am sure she will stand at the photocall. I want Jada to wear this amazing military/tennis inspired Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 RTW dress with a pair of gold strappy sandals.

Kirsten Dunst is the person I have chosen to feature to represent the film, 'On The Road' which also features the talent of Kristen Stewart, Amy Adams, and Elisabeth Moss. Kirsten has an amazing sense of style and when it comes to Cannes she usually sticks to her go to designers Chanel and Rodarte but for this photocall I would love to see the actress with this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2012 RTW long sleeve chiffon dress. I think that this is totally withing Kirsten's style and I would pray she wore it. Add simple no fuss hair and a pair of bronze pumps and she is good to go for her press appearance.

Marion will be on hand at the festival to promote her french film 'Rust & Bone.' Marion is a face of Dior so it will not surprise me if that is all we see her wearing whilst at the festival. For the photocall for the film would love to see Marion in this grey flowy Christian Dior Fall 2012 RTW dress. Noe this dress is simple and to keep it from being overly fussy only needs a simple pair of silver strappy sandals to keep the look light and airy.

Now this wish for Mia Wasikowska to wear this stunning orange swirl print Stella McCartney Evening 2012 dress is a bit of a stretch because she is the face of Miu Miu and I would expect her to wear a dress by them but after looking at the runways I would guess that whatever she picks will be from a commercial collection. With that said if she wore this Stella McCartney dress she would definitely stand out amongst her peers who take their stands at the photocalls during the two week festival. I would tell her to pair this look with a pair of orange peep toes and no other accessories as well as she should wear her hair back and up to show off all the details in the dress.

Last but not least we have Tilda Swinton, who other than Diane Kruger is set to have the first photocall of the festival as it is her film 'Moonrise Kingdom' that is opening the festival. I would love to see Tilda wear this beige Hussein Chalyan Fall 2012 RTW dress with a red-orange waist accent. I think that Tilda would kill this dress and I hope she wears it because not many favor this brand and I would be highly disappointed if this dress was swept up by someone like Lady Gaga instead of someone with sophistication like Tilda. Add a pair of pumps that match the red-orange waist detail and she would be set.
