Amy Poehler is nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series at the 2014 Critics Choice Television Awards come Thursday evening. I am hoping to see Amy keep up her awesome run from the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, even if it was in all black. I am picking yet another black gown for Amy to wear Thursday night but I believe that she is taking small steps to looking even more amazing than she used to. This body hugging Kaufmanfranco Fall 2014 RTW black sheath gown with a sweeping train and under bust cutout is perfect for Amy to wear. I do believe that this gown has cutouts on the hips as well but I would have this look modified to remove those. A black sparkling clutch, a pair of simple Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals in black, and a pair of pretty and simple diamond earrings would ensure that Amy looks absolutely fantastic on the Critics Choice red carpet.

The HBO film "The Normal Heart" has garnered Julia Roberts a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or Mini-Series at the 2014 Critics Choice Television Awards. After giving me disappointing look after disappointing look during awards season I do not have high hopes if she even attends Thursday's red carpet. I figure that Julia will turn back to one of her favored brands Valentino, Givenchy, or Dolce & Gabbana. I am picking this black Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2014 RTW lace long sleeve gown for Julia. Nothing inspiring but typical Julia.

Minnie Driver has given some awesome red carpet looks in the past as a supporting actress at movie premieres and I am hoping that she kills it Thursday night at the Critics Choice Television Awards where she is nominated for Best Actress in a Movie or Mini-Series for her Lifetime film "Return to Zero." This navy Vivienne Westwood Gold Label Resort 2015 gown is typical of the Westwood legacy but I think that Minnie would look absolutely stunning wearing this amazing creation. A sparking navy Edie Parker clutch, a pair of silver sandals, and some stunning diamond and sapphire earrings would make this look stand out even with its classic silhouette and muted colors.

Robin Wright usually sticks to covered up black ensembles when she takes to the red carpet. In the past two years she has made 8 red carpet appearances in black, black and white, nude, and navy so dark it might as well have been black and all very basic designs at that. I am hoping to see Robin revert back to the stunning red carpet dresser that she used to be prior to her divorce from Sean Penn. I have picked this Prabal Gurung Resort 2015 lace sequin embroidered lace cap sleeve top gown with a black and ink blue chiffon skirt for Robin to wear on the red carpet Thursday night where she is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series for the Netflix original series "House of Cards." It is not way to far out of her usual comfort zone but it is all at the same time. A pair of simple Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals in black, an ink blue Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of simple diamond cluster earrings would help waltz Robin right back onto the worlds Best Dressed lists.

2014 Academy Awards: Best Supporting Actress Nominee Wish List

Jennifer Lawrence has been MIA on the red carpet for a while, whilst filming 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2', missing the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon and the BAFTA awards. A week from tonight are the 2014 Academy Awards and I am hoping that the producers of the film will give her the night off to attend. Nominated for her work in 'American Hustle' the Dior spokesmodel will most likely wear another gown from the house. Not feeling like there are any Oscar worthy gowns in the Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture collection I have dug into the archives back to Raf Simons first collection for the house. This Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture strapless gown which is peachy embellished on the from and blue embellished on the back. I have wanted to see one of these gowns on the red carpet since they first took to the runway. Finish this gown with a pair of gold sandals from Christian Louboutin, a gold Edie Parker clutch, and some simple jewels her hair worn in old Hollywood waves over one shoulder and simple makeup will give JLaw another great moment in Dior on the red carpet.

Julia Roberts, much like 'August: Osage County' co-star, Meryl Streep, has not had a great run this awards season. After missing the Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon, much like fellow Best Supporting Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence, I am hoping that Julia will make a glam statement on the Academy Awards red carpet next Sunday. I am hoping that Julia will revert back to Valentino for Hollywood's biggest night. This amazing long sleeve Valentino Spring 2014 Couture  long sleeved gown is the perfect choice for Julia for this red carpet. This is a mix of indie spirit and red carpet glamorous is something that Julia loves to play with on the red carpet along with menswear. Having played with menswear inspired looks quite a bit this season, I am ready to see Julia rock some hardcore glamour. Silver sandals and some simple Fred Leighton jewels will complete this ensemble for Julia for the Academy Awards next Sunday.

Lupita Nyong'o will undoubtedly wear a Prada or Miu Miu gown come next Sunday at the 2014 Academy Awards. Which is a shame for me because there have been no gowns taking to any of the Prada or Miu Miu runways. There have been quite a number of fabulous gowns from the Prada atelier. If I had to look to the runways for a look to inspire the gown Lupita should wear next Sunday. This black dress with red piping from the recently presented Prada Fall 2014 RTW dress would be absolutely amazing full length without a train. A red Prada clutch, a pair of black Prada sandals, and some amazing diamonds will make this look complete. Just a disclaimer that I think that Lupita will be a joint Best Dressed with Cate and this dress will not get her there but I am sure that she will look absolutely fantastic.

2014 BAFTA Awards: Julia Roberts & Lea Seydoux Wish List

 Julia Roberts has really failed to excite on any red carpet she has stepped out on at all this awards season. I was in love with her feminine take on menswear dressing at the Golden Globe Awards in Dolce & Gabbana but her Pepto-Bismol pink Valentino jumpsuit at the SAG Awards and her boring Elie Saab beaded mini at the Grammy's just did absolutely nothing for me. I figure we will see more menswear inspired looks on Julia between now and the Oscars as that is what she really loves to rock on the red carpet. This Lanvin Pre-Fall 2014 satin tuxedo blazer and maxi skirt are something that I can totally picture Julia rocking on the red carpet. I would obviously pair this with a top, Julia is a bit to old to be bare chested on the red carpet under a blazer, that is white with some sort of feminine embellishments. A black satin clutch, a pair of black satin pumps, a pair of drop earrings, and a statement cocktail ring will make this look perfect for the BAFTA red carpet.

 Lea Seydoux was on hand to announce the nominees of the EE Rising Star Award which will be presented at the 2014 BAFTA Awards for which she is also nominated. The 'Blue is the Warmest Color' star has been making the red carpet rounds lately wearing a lot of Prada, which makes sense since she is one of Miuccia Prada's muses. I am hoping that for the BAFTA red carpet that Lea will shy away from a Prada or Miu Miu design in favor of something a little different. I think that this Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture white gown with a train attached to the hip and floral embellishments all over is absolutely perfect for the 2014 BAFTA Awards and would be a nice change of pace for Lea. Finish the look with a pair of silver sandals and some stunning jewels with statement colored stones would just pull this look together for the BAFTA red carpet.

2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Outstanding Performance by a Female in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture Wish List

Jennifer Lawrence will make another red carpet appearance at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards as she is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Rosalyn in 'American Hustle.' I really loved JLaw in this film and she could totally take home another actor statuette this year. The Dior spokesmodel has really run through all of the red carpet wearable looks from Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture and Spring 2014 RTW so I am excited that the Pre-Fall 2014 and Spring 2014 Couture collections are about to be released and she will have a new bank of designs to choose from. As that hasn't happened yet I am forced to re-post a wish that I made for Jen to wear for the 'Catching Fire' London premiere last year. I think that this dress is an alright choice for the SAG Awards, in fact it might be a little too much but there isn't anything that isn't as formal for this event. Finish with a gold clutch, a pair of gold sandals, and a pair of stunning drop earrings will finish off this look for Jen.

I am hoping to see Julia Roberts shun the black for most of Awards Season this year and so far we have only had one basic black look at the Help Haiti Home gala yesterday evening. For the 2014 SAG Awards I want to see Julia wear this deep ink blue Vionnet Spring 2014 RTW asymmetrically draped gown. The SAG Awards are probably the most relaxed awards during the whole season and the stars let their hair down just a little bit as they honor each other with their awards. I always think that Julia looks best when she shuns her safety blanket of black frocks and this dress is the perfect way to do that for this event. Finish the look with black accessories including a black Prada satin box clutch, a pair of simple black sandals, and some amazing earrings will just make this look perfect.

Lupita Nyong'o has given me 5 best dressed looks in the past week and I am sure that she will blow me away tonight at the Golden Globe Awards. The SAG Awards are just a week away from tonight and I am sure that Lupita is already fitting for that event. I am praying that the stunning actress sweeps up this amazing grey Valentino Fall 2014 Couture tea length gown with black coral patterned embroidery. This is the only event that Lupita can get away with wearing a shorter length gown and I really think that she would look fantastic in this couture creation. Finish the look with simple black sandals, a set of cluster diamond earrings, and a statement necklace will make this a look absolutely perfect for the 2014 SAG Awards.

After being snubbed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Lee Daniels 'The Butler' but her fellow actors have bestowed her with one at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Oprah will probably have a gown custom made but I think that her friends over at Theia who did looks for the Big O for the films promotional tour. I think that this Theia Resort 2014 navy lace gown would look fantastic on Oprah for this event. It  has all the things Oprah loves in a red carpet look sleeves, a v-neck, and it doesn't fit tight all the way down; glamourously falling from the hips. Finish the look with some stunning diamonds in her ears and on her neck from her own collection (Oprah has admitted that she doesn't borrow jewelry for the red carpet she purchases it outright), a pair of navy Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe satin pumps, a red lip, and her natural afro will make this look perfect for the SAG Awards.

2014 Golden Globe Awards: Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture Wish List

Jennifer Lawrence might be looking at back to back Golden Globe Awards. This year her nomination comes from her film 'American Hustle,' and if I may say so she was absolutely fabulous in it. Jennifer can really take on any role that is thrown at her and is really shaping up to the the Meryl Streep of my generation. After hopefully taking a few of the smaller events off of wearing Christian Dior I am sure that the Dior Darling spokesmodel will don a gown from the brand for the Globes. For last years ceremony Jennifer wore a red Christian Dior Couture mermaid gown but unfortunately the detail on her breasts made it a look that I just couldn't fall in love with. For this years event I am hoping to see Jennifer wear this green strapless Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture trumpet gown. The silhouettes might be similar and the designer is the same but I think that this would delight me much more than last years gown did. I would add a black Dior clutch, a pair of amazing strappy Jimmy Choo black sandals, and some amazing statement diamond and emerald Chopard drop earrings to ensure the look of a true Hollywood princess.

'August: Osage County' has garnered Julia Roberts her Best Supporting Actress nomination at this years Golden Globe Awards. The last time we saw Julia at the Globes was back in 2010 when she was nominated for 'Duplicity' and she showed up in a short Yves Saint Laurent black dress with long sleeves looking more like she was going to a casual premiere than a big awards show. The only saving factor of that look was the stunning vintage Van Cleef & Arpels statement necklace that she donned. This year I am hoping that after a few major moments on the red carpet since October that we will see a major moment from Julia. Recently Mrs Roberts has been turning to Elie Saab for her red carpet outings and I would love to see the two pair up next Sunday for the Golden Globe Awards. I think that this amazing cape sleeve Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture gown with grey beading would look amazing on Julia, but I am not sure if she will go for something so highly embellished. A pair of deep red Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe satin pumps, and her hair pulled up will give this look the perfect finishing touches for the Golden Globe Awards.

'12 Years a Slave' actress and nominee Lupita Nyong'o will definitely be giving Jennifer Lawrence a run for the statue at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards next Sunday. One thing I am sure that Lupita will have over Mrs Lawrence is a impeccable jaw dropping red carpet moment, which I am sure will be in couture no doubt. I think that the stunning Kenyan actress should snatch up this white Giambattista Valli Fall 2013 Couture gown with purple and yellow floral embellishments and an exaggerated peplum for this red carpet. This will really tell the fashion world that Lupita has arrived and that she is not one to be messed with. She made her first red carpet appearance wearing custom Prada and I am sure that Lupita will have an amazing awards season. Just finish this look with a pair of purple Christian Louboutin satin pumps, some diamond and amethyst jewelry, and Lupita's favorite shade of purple lipstick will keep this look fashion forward and completely eye catching.

2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards Wish List Part 2

Gwyneth Paltrow's role as Pepper in 'Iron Man 3' has scored the blonde a Best Actress in an Action Movie nomination at the 2014 Critics Choice Awards. Gwynie gave one of the most talked about looks of the year in Antonio Berardi at the LA premiere of 'Iron Man 3.' I am hoping to see her keep the sexy going but by picking this plum colored Atelier Versace Fall 2013 Couture gown she will keep the sexy but in a subtle sophisticated way. A pair of strappy Jimmy Choo 'Madison' sandals in black, a silver Jimmy Choo crystal encrusted clutch, a pair of Atelier Versace sunburst diamond earrings, and an Atelier Versace diamond ring would be the perfect icing on top of this sexy cake.

Jennifer Lawrence has 2 nominations at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards. One for Best Supporting Actress for 'American Hustle' and another for Best Actress in an Action Movie for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,' which she won for the original earlier this year. Going through awards season as a Christian Dior spokesmodel, the Critics Choice Awards was one of the few events where she did not grab up a frock from the company that signs her checks in favor of a stunning black Prabal Gurung gown. For the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards I am hoping that it will be another night off for Dior in favor of this electric blue Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2014 RTW halter neck gown. This is the kind of dress that Jennifer needs to be wearing. As someone with an athletic build JLaw should be going more towards the sportier type ensembles. Finish the look with a gold and black Jimmy Choo 'Mosaic' box clutch and a pair of black Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' sandals to keep the look simple and ready for a best dressed appearance.

Jessica Chastain is an expected presenter at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards after taking home the Best Actress trophy at last years awards ceremony for her work in 'Zero Dark Thirty,' that also gave her an Academy Award nomination. I have been praying to see Jessica Chastain to wear one of the emerald green gowns from the Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture collection and I think that this high neck column gown with a green tulle and lace cape would be the perfect choice for the stunning red headed actress wear on the red carpet the Critics Choice Movie Awards. The dress is stunning enough on its own that all I would add to this gown is a simple pair of metallic gold sandals and her hair worn over one shoulder in a set of dramatic Veronica Lake waves.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus snagged herself a Best Actress in a Comedy nomination for her work in the film 'Enough Said' at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards. The star of the big and small screen has moments that I love her look on the red carpet and times where that love is not so much. For this awards show I think that this white KaufmanFranco Spring 2014 RTW long sleeved gown would be a simple and elegant perfect gown for Julia to don. This dress makes for a perfect back drop to add a sparkling silver and white Edie Parker chevron clutch, a pair of simple silver sandals, and maybe a pair of statement earrings will make sure that Julia wins the hearts of fashion critics everywhere.

'August: Osage County' has snagged Julia Roberts a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the 2014 Critics Choice Movie Awards. While I am praying that during the course of awards season that we do not see Julia wear black dress after black dress, after all she pulls off color like a pro, I think that this simple black Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2014 draped gown is a perfect option for the 46 year old actress. This gown is another black gown but its draping makes it interesting and I think that Julia would style it up with a pair of statement Van Cleef and Arpels vintage sapphire, diamond, and emerald earrings, a pair of simple black Casadei satin peep toe pumps, a black satin Prada box clutch, and a gold and diamond bracelet will give this look the perfect finishing touches to complete this red carpet ensemble.

2014 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala Wish List

Amy Adams is a member of the cast of 'American Hustle' which will be reciveing the Ensemble Cast Award at the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala which will kick off awards season on January 4th 2014. The Palm Springs Awards Gala really kicks off the major awards this year but it is different than most because the honorees are announced in the 2 months prior to the event. With a cocktail attire or fancier dress code this is one of the more dressed down events where most ladies don shorter ensembles and have fun. I would love to see one of my favorite Hollywood red heads wear this amazing gold lame Altuzzara Spring 2014 RTW cocktail dress which features a side slit and a plunging neck. There is just something about this look that just makes me think of Amy and I am not quite sure what it is because it is not in her normal realm of style. Finish the look with a gold clutch and a pair of simple gold sandals and Amy will walk the carpet like she owns it.

Camila Alves will be on her husbands, Matthew McConaughey, arm as he receives his Desert Palm Achievement Award for his work in 'Dallas Buyers Club.' Camila has always stood next to Matt as he takes to the red carpet looking nothing short of a stunning trophy wife, though I am sure that she is much more than that. For this event I am going to wish that she wears this black Andrew Gn Resort 2014 knee length dress that features gold coral pattern embroidery and three quarter length sleeves. She really knows how to work a red carpet and I think that this would be the perfect look for her to wear for this event. Just add a simple pair of pointed toe Christian Louboutin black pumps and a red lip and Camila is ready to take the carpet by storm.

Jennifer Lawrence will also help pick up the Ensemble Cast Award for 'American Hustle' with co-star Amy Adams at the 2014 Palm Springs Film Festival. I am clawing to figure out what JLaw will wear for these red carpets because there isn't a whole lot of anything left from the Fall 2013 Couture or Spring 2014 RTW collections from Christian Dior, where she is the face of the brand, so I am re-posting a wish I made for her to wear for the LA Premiere of 'Catching Fire.' While I was highly impressed with her sheer grey Christian Dior Fall 2013 Couture gown on that red carpet I would still like to see Mrs Lawrence take to the red carpet in this tea length gown. Finish the look with a black clutch, a pair of black Saint Laurent 'Jane' sandals, and some simple Chopard diamonds will complete this look for this occasion.

Julia Roberts will be taking home the Spotlight Award at the 2014 Palm Spring Film Festival Awards Gala. The star known for her love of black an her menswear inspired layering should wear a modified version of this long sleeved Altuzzara Resort 2014 dress. I would close this dress up on the one side so there is no skin showing on her leg and remove the leather band around the breasts. Add a statement necklace from Van Cleef & Arpels and a pair of black and gold Saint Laurent 'Janis' metal-trim cap toe platform pump will complete this look for Julia and give her a look that I would actually enjoy seeing her in.

The performance that Lupita Nyong'o gave in '12 Years a Slave' is giving her the Breakthrough Performance Award at the 2014 Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala. So far since she stepped out on the scene in September Lupita has been able to snag looks from some of the worlds most coveted designers from brand new collections to custom creations to couture. For this awards show I would love to see the stunning Kenyan actress wear this copper colored Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2014 gown which is reminiscent of stuff out of the 1930's. A a bronze and brown Kotur art deco clutch as well as a pair of bronze Jimmy Choo sandals and simple earrings complete this look which is perfect for an emerging red carpet talent such as Lupita.

Last but certainly not least we have a wish for Desert Palm Achievement Award recipient for her work in 'Gravity' Sandra Bullock. There are two Sandra's that take to the red carpet. One is almost always on the best dressed lists and one is almost always blah. I am hoping that best dressed Sandy is out on the red carpet on January 4th for the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala. If she were to don this green, blue, and goldenrod Aquilano.Rimondi Spring 2014 RTW dress then I be believe that Sandy would look absolutely stunning on the red carpet. A simple satin black Prada box clutch, a pair of mustard yellow Charlotte Olympia pointed toe platform pumps, and some simple Bulgari jewelery will make for the perfect look for Sandy for the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala on Jan 4th.

2013 Hollywood Film Awards Wish List

 The road to the 2014 Academy Awards will begin on Sunday October 21st at the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards, the first major awards event of the season. One thing different about this awards show is that all of the winners are announced prior to the night of the event. The 2013 Hollywood Ensemble Award will be handed over to the ensemble cast of 'August: Osage County' on Sunday night and 17 year old Abigail Breslin is one of the members of the cast. Abigail has a dark but flirty and young red carpet style. For the premiere of the film at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival she wore a dark floral Alice + Olivia gown which she paired with a denim jacket to make it just that much more youthful. For the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards I would love to see this pastel colored Giles Spring 2014 RTW camo print cocktail dress. This is a youthful cocktail ensemble that is perfect for Abigail and the event. Finish the look with a pony-tail over one shoulder and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin pumps and Abigail will have the perfect red carpet look.

 Camilla Alves is not being honored with anything at this awards show but I am sure she will make an appearance as she is the wife and arm candy of Hollywood Actor Award honoree Matthew McConaughey, who is being honored for his work in 'Dallas Buyers Club.' Camilla always looks elegant when she is playing the plus one role. I think that this teal Zuhair Murad Spring 2014 RTW long sleeve dress with lace inserts. This dress is sophisticated with a sexy twist which is something that we usually see Camilla do when she steps out on the red carpet. Finish this look off with amazing flowing locks, gold sandals,  minimal jewels and Camilla will finish off this amazing look.

 Julia Roberts is the other member of the ensemble cast of 'August: Osage County' on this list who will be honored with the Hollywood Ensemble Award and is also going to be honored with the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award. I have not been a fan of Julia Roberts on the red carpet since her black and white Valentino Oscar gown in 2001. I was happy to see her wear a bold red Dolce & Gabbana dress for the films Toronto International Film Festival and I am hoping to see her continue wearing bold options all through awards season. The only couture wish on this list comes from the Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture collection and I think that this multi colored entirely beaded long sleeved cocktail dress is perfect for Julia and features a sexy open back for a hint of sex appeal. Finish the look with the same nude sandals that she wore with her Dolce & Gabbana dress will make for the perfect look for her to wear Sunday night.

 I will have to say that the woman I am most looking forward to seeing take to the red carpet at the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards is the New Hollywood Award honoree Lupita Nyong'o. Lupita is being honored for her work in the Steve McQueen drama '12 Years a Slave.' The actress made her big red carpet debut at the films Toronto International Film Festival premiere wearing a white and gold custom made Prada gown, and then continued on to sit front row at the Miu Miu Spring 2014 RTW collection, I am predicting a stunning custom Prada or Miu Miu gown if she makes it to the 2014 Academy Awards. But for Sunday nights Hollywood Film Awards I would love to see Lupita wear this amazing red, white, and black Miu Miu Spring 2014 RTW cocktail ensemble that is finished off with beaded fringe on the bodice and waist. I am not usually a fan of the Miu Miu collections on the runway, usually favoring the custom red carpet pieces, but I am really in love with this look. I think that Lupita is one of the few women that I can picture wearing this look and in my head she defiantly is the person that wears it the best. Complete this look with a pair of black sandals and a red clutch and Lupita will have the perfect red carpet look for the Hollywood Film Awards.

I keep hearing the possible Oscar buzz behind Sandra Bullock and I can't actually wait to see her latest film 'Gravity.' I am sure that the Hollywood Actress Award honor from this years Hollywood Film Awards will not hurt her chances of at least scoring a nomination. For her to collect her award Sunday night I would love to see the stunning 49 year old actress wear this rust colored J. Mendel Spring 2014 RTW off the shoulder gown with a sexy slit up to there. I was less than impressed with the red J. Mendel gown Sandy wore for the films Venice Film Festival premiere. I would complete this ensemble with a pair of black and gold Gucci 'Kelis' sandals and a black Gucci 'Hollywood' gold studded clutch to give Sandra the perfect red carpet ensemble for the Hollywood Film Awards.
