2013 Emmy Awards: Oustanding Lead Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie Wish List

After faltering from red carpet looks that I love Helen Mirren worked the red carpet and promotional trail for her film 'RED 2' last month and I am hoping that she keeps it up coming next month at the 2013 Emmy Awards. As an Academy Award winning actress Helen is one of our hopefuls to bring couture to the red carpet at this event as she is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie for her HBO film 'Phil Spector.' I think that this dove grey Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture gown would look fantastic on the 68 year old actress. This year Helen has really decided to have fun on the red carpet. At the 2013 BAFTA Awards Helen debuted her pixie cut in a bold way with sugary sweet bubblegum pink hair and at the LA premiere of 'RED 2' under her teal Elie Saab gown she wore plexi platform stripper pumps. The youthfulness of this look comes courtesy of an open back that many actress over the age of 45 or 50 would run the other way from but I do not think that this would be the case with Helen. A silver Edie Parker clutch and who knows what shoe could be anything from her plexi stripper shoes to a pair of elegant silver sandals we would just have to wait and see what she pulls out of her hat at the Emmy Awards next month.

Jessica Lange has never been a person that I really look forward to seeing on the red carpet because she usually leaves me indifferent to her looks but I am still going to shoot out a wish for her for the 2013 Emmy Awards where she is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie for he role in the FX mini series 'American Horror Story: Asylum.' This series keeps reinventing itself every season with a whole new story line and characters with just a few members of the cast transferring from season to season. Jessica has been one of those stars that has been with the series from the start. For the 2013 Emmy Awards I would love to see Jessica wear this sapphire blue Georges Hobeika Fall 2013 RTW long sleeved gown. Unlike Helen Mirren, at 64 Jessica likes to cover up on the red carpet and she tends to look pretty just not anything spectacular. A black clutch and a pair of black pumps would be the way that I finish this look off for Jessica for the 2013 Emmy Awards late next month.

The USA series 'Political Animals' ended up being a Mini-Series but it has still garnered star Sigourney Weaver a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie for her role in the series. For this red carpet I would love to see Mrs Weaver wear this Zac Posen Fall 2013 RTW burgundy gown. I think that this is just a simple and sophisticated look for the 63 year old actress. I do not know whether or not I would pair this dress with the cape or not just because I am not sure if its too gimmicky for Sigourney. Many of my long time readers will know that I LOVE a cape on a dress but I am leaning more towards removing it for this look. A dark metallic grey clutch and a pair of matching burgundy pumps would be the way to finish this look with maybe a few select Fred Leighton jewels around the wrist and maybe in the ear.

2013 Tony Awards Wish List Part 2

After having a great run during the 2013 Awards Season wearing Valentino, J. Mendel, and Alberta Ferretti, Sally Field will be on hand tomorrow night ass a presenter at the 2013 Tony Awards. I am hoping that she will continue to wow me by wearing this blue and grey Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 ball gown. I think that this gown is perfect for Sally who even at 66 still looks amazing on the red carpet. Complete this ensemble with a pair of blue pumps, a silver clutch, and some absolutely stunning earrings and Sally will be one of the best dressed lady of the night.

There is an elegance when Sigourney Weaver steps onto a red carpet even when she isn't wearing something that I love when she does. Tomorrow night on CBS at 8pm the 2013 Tony Awards telecast will commence and in the duration of the event Sigourney Weaver will take to the stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City to present one of the prestigious awards. I would love to see her wear this amazing black Balenciaga Fall 2013 RTW draped gown for the event. I am surprised that we have not seen more of this collection on the red carpet and with the few outings it has been a 50/50 best and worst dressed list ensembles. Finish the look with black pumps and a black clutch and Sigourney will wow me on the red carpet.

And last but not least we have a wish for the 2 time Tony Award winning actress Sutton Foster. Sutton has not been named as a presenter during this event but I have a feeling that at some point during the telecast that she will make an appearance. The actress, who is now taking a stint on ABC Family as the star of the show 'Bunheads,' was on hand to help announce the 2013 Tony Award nominees and usually the ladies who help announce the nominations usually attend the awards show themselves. I would love to see Sutton wear this black Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 RTW one shoulder gown with a chiffon train. Complete this look with a silver metal clutch, a pair of black sandals, some glittering diamond jewels, and a sweeping updo and she will wow on the red carpet.

2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards Wish List: Best Actress in a TV Movie

Alfre Woodard is fabulous and wears lots of looks from emerging designers and a lot of black. For the 2013 SAG Awards I have mixed the two by wishing for her to wear this stunning Farah Angsana Spring 2013 RTW gown. This gown would look amazing on Alfre who is 60 years young. Finish this with a black and silver Judith Leiber clutch, black pumps, and some stunning diamond jewelry and the star will shine brightly.

Julianne Moore looked amazing two major appearances in a row the Emmy Awards and then this past Sunday at the Golden Globe Awards. The star has not picked up one of the complicated Lanvin gowns that she has favored in the past in quite some time and for that I am grateful. She really looks her best in crisp classic silhouettes. For the SAG Awards I would love to see Julianne wear this golden yellow Versace Pre-Fall 2013 wrap gown. I think that this would look stunning on the actress who is the favorite to win Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries. She wore a bright yellow gown for the Emmy Awards and looked amazing. Hair in a slick pony tail, a red lip, and all metallic gold accessories would finish off the amazing look for the star.

Sigourney Weaver was absent from the Golden Globe Awards so I am hoping to see her on the red carpet at the SAG Awards next week. She always brings a class and glamor to the red carpet that only comes with sophistication. I think that this pale gold Reem Acra Spring 2013 RTW gown would be a great choice for this awards show. Finish it off with gold sandals and some stunning diamond earrings and I think she will stun the entire way down the carpet.

2013 Golden Globe Awards Wish List: Best Actress in a TV Movie

Jessica Lange has been nominated for 'American Horror Story' once again. She took home the award last year and the supporting actress award at the Emmy Awards. I would love to see her wear this forest green Catherine Malandrino Pre-Fall 2013 gown. Jessica tends to favor sophisticated modern gowns and I think that this color would look fabulous on her. Finish it with gold accessories including a gold box clutch, gold pumps, and gold jewelry.

I am wishing for Julianne Moore to wear this french empire/greek toga inspired black Chanel Pre-Fall 2013 gown. Julianne wore a black Chanel Couture gown for the 2012 Golden Globe Awards but I think that this gown would look amazing on her. Finish this look with a gunmetal crystal embellished clutch, and some black peep toe pumps as well as some amazing diamonds Julianne (who will most likely take home the statue) will look absolutely stunning.

I go back and forth when I see Sienna Miller on the red carpet sometimes she looks expensive and boho but often she looks cheap and hobo. I am going to glamorous boho for the 2013 Golden Globe Awards by putting her in this white Ralph Lauren Spring 2013 RTW draped gown with a red rose hip embellishment. I think that this gown is right up Sienna's ally when it comes to her red carpet style. I hope she doesn't let me down in the styling department if she is to pick this gown. I would pair this look with a red hard plastic curved box clutch, silver Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' sandals, as well as some simple diamond drop earrings and this look is complete with a loose updo and a red lip.

Sigourney Weaver is a stunning woman who knows how to dress for her age on the red carpet. The 63 year old actress nominated for her work in the mini-series 'Political Animals' should call up Herve Leroux and order this grape juice purple Fall 2012 Couture gown for her appearance at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. I think that this gown would look stunning on Mrs Weaver from the way it drapes to the color that would look spectacular on her. Style this gown with a silver Judith Leiber crystal embellished clutch, silver black peep toe pumps, a pair of diamond stud earrings, a diamond necklace, and a diamond tennis bracelet and Mrs Weaver will make the peasants bow before her.

2011 Marrakesh International Film Festival Jury Wish List: Sigourney Weaver

Film legend Sigourney Weaver will also be headed to Morocco for the 2011 Marrakesh International Film Festival where she will be acting as the head of the Short Film Jury. Sigourney knows how to work a red carpet and has relationships with brands such as Lanvin, Bottega Veneta, and Donna Karan. I hope to see lots from Sigourney on the red carpet during the festival and have a few wishes below for her.

First Up is this black Lanvin Resort 2012 draped suit, I love this for her because it is elegant and simple. To complete this look I would add a pair of red pumps and a statement ring. Look #2 is this pale watercolor pattern L'Wren Scott Spring 2012 dress, this look is elegant and it would look stunning on Sigourney. Pairing this look with a pair of either nude or gold sandals would make this ensemble amazing. I love Sigourney in blue and the final two looks are based in blue. The first is a Naeem Khan Resort 2012 dress that would be paired with silver peep toe pumps and the final is a Zac Posen Spring 2012 RTW dress that I would pair with navy peep toe pumps.

Now for the gowns, continuing with the blue theme I am starting off with a royal blue and black Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 RTW gown, simple pair of matching strappy sandals and a matching clutch. The next is this grey Donna Karan Resort 2012 gown and to complete this look a crystal encrusted silver Judith Leiber clutch and grey sandals would make this look perfect. Here I have another wish from L'Wren Scott Spring 2012 RTW. Now this is a gown that I could see transcending the generation line and could be worn by someone young like Anne Hathaway or Amy Adams or someone older like Sigourney. This look would be paired with matching red clutch and peep toe pumps. And last but not least the final wish is again from Naeem Khan but this time from the Spring 2012 RTW collection. Silver clutch and pumps would complete this elegant ensemble.
