2012 Venice Film Festival: Premiere Wish List Part One

Heather Graham who is most known for her work in 'The Hangover' 'Austin Powers' and 'Boogie Nights' is set to premiere her new film, 'At Any Price', at the 2012 Venice Film Festival. I would love to see the 42 year old actress wear this deep purple velvet L'Wren Scott Fall 2012 RTW gown. I think that this gown is elegant and age appropriate for the actress who does not seem to have a defined style. Add a smoke silver clutch to match the broach detail and some black pumps as well as maybe a few vintage Fred Leighton jewels and the look is ready for the red carpet at the film fest.

I will admit that I am not really a fan of whatever Isabelle Huppert wears on the red carpet because I always feel that she puts forth no effort. The 60 year old actress who will be premiering her latest film 'Bella Addormentata' at the festival was front row at the Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture fashion show in Paris last month. I am hoping that the star will snatch up with navy blue Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture velvet gown with a embellished neckline and sheer sleeves which is elegant and age appropriate. One thing I always seem to not like about Isabelle's red carpet looks is that she always seems to pick a clutch that is too large. A small black embellished minaudire would be the perfect addition to this look. Finish it off with black peep toes, a pair of cluster diamond and sapphire earrings, and a hair do pulled back and up will complete this look and maybe make something that I would actually end up liking on the red carpet.

The final film of the festival will be 'Kiss of the Damned' and I am actually excited to see what the stars of this film will bring to the closing ceremony red carpet of the 2012 Venice Film Festival. Anna Mouglalis is one of the stars that I am hoping will take to the red carpet. The French actress and face of Chanel, who as also played Coco Chanel, will undoubably wear a Chanel frock for the red carpet. I would love for it to be this silver champagne beaded frock from the Chanel Fall 2012 Couture collection, that to me is reminiscent of the the 20's and 30's, would be an amazing choice for the star who loves herself some Chanel. Hair styled in a faux finger wave flapper bob, a champagne clutch, strappy d'orsay sandals, and Chanel fine jewelry should be what completes this look.

The other star of 'Kiss of the Damned' that I am looking forward to seeing take to the red carpet is Roxane Mesquida. The young star who Americans might recognize from her short run on the hit CW show 'Gossip Girl' sat front row at the Christian Dior Fall 2012 Couture show and I would love to see her grab this dove grey and raspberry v-necked color blocked gown. I think that the grey would look amazing on her pale skin and the raspberry adds an unexpected twist on the heavily embellished gown. add a silver mirror type clutch and some silver strappy sandals and some amazing Chopard diamonds to complete the ensemble.

2012 Venice Film Festival: Kate Hudson for the Photocall and Opening Ceremony Screening of 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'

 When I first read that 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist' is going to open the 2012 Venice Biennale di Cinema or Venice Film Festival I became really excited because when it comes to the red carpet Kate is definitely a favorite wearing some of my absolutely favorite red carpet looks, even if some are not to everyone's liking. For the photocall I would love to see the this army green Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2012 RTW ensemble on the California blonde. The ensemble conditioning of a chiffon wrap top and militarily skirt. Pair this look with a pair of strappy suede and crocodile Aperlaï brown booties and her winning smile would be the perfect accessories to complete this ensemble.

For the red carpet gala premiere of the film I would love to see Kate arrive on the red carpet in the historical city wearing this gold Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture beaded gown with long sleeves. I think that this gown would be a great choice for the actress. It is not to over the top for the event and the blonde beauty would just radiate from every crevice she has as she always glows on the red carpet and the golden embellishments would only add to this. Pair this gown with a gold metal faux reptile skin Tom Ford Fall 2012 clutch and a pair of gold Jimmy Choo Fall 2012 strappy sandals and this look is complete and ready to walk the carpet.

2012 Venice Film Festival: Jury Member Laetitia Casta Wish List

Laetitia Casta is on the jury for the 2012 Venice Film Festival that kicks off late at the end of this month. The model/actress who as appeared in over 20 films/television shows, was a Victoria's Secret angel, is a current spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris, and has appeared on over 100 international fashion magazine covers will take to the red carpet I am sure during the festival and what do I not want to see when she does? Another black look from the stunning 34 year old. I have started with this aqua blue Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Couture gown because traditionally Versace is a brand that is favored in Venice because it is an Italian brand. I think that this chiffon gown would look stunning on Laetitia and only enhance her beauty. Add a silver clutch and nude Versace platform strappy sandals to complete the look along with some stunning diamond jewelry.

During Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in July Laetitia attended the Chanel Fall 2012 Couture show and I am only hoping that this will open up a world of Chanel Couture on the Venice Film Festival red carpet. I would love to see Laetitia to wear this champagne and blush confection sans the silver metal belt. I think that this would be an unexpected very girly look for the model who's style tends to be sexy European spy woman than cupcakes and champagne. Pair this dress with a gold box clutch and some gold pumps.

Another brand that is commonly worn on the red carpet during the Venice Film Festival is Gucci. Another Italian brand I could definitely see Laetitia wearing this Gucci Resort 2013 gown in black with the gold neck detail. Add a black and gold Gucci sandals and clutch as well as some gold Gucci high jewelry to finish off the look.

Last but not least we have a wish for Laetitia to wear this silver Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 RTW gown. Out of all the looks in this list this is probably the most her style. Every year this is one night where everyone on the red carpet dons a Vuitton frock and this would be the perfect option for Laetitia to choose for said night. I believe that this gown will have thick straps and some sort of broach detail at the base of the strap. Add a silver metal clutch and some silver strappy sandals to complete this look.

Michelle Obamas 2012 Campaign Trail Look Wish Lists

Also just under a month away on September 3rd the Democratic National Convention kicks off the 2012 Election campaign trail in Charlotte North Carolina. I am 100% positive that Michelle Obama will be at her husbands side as he campaigns across the United States to earn re-election for four more years in office. Michelle not only campaigns with her husband but she spends a good amount of time out campaigning for him on her own. A great look for one of these appearances is this stunning blue, white, and silver Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2012 top and skirt. I love when the First Lady wears stunning blue colors and think that this look would be a classic and elegant yet fashion forward choice. I would remove the scarf like detail because it would overwhelm Michelle and add a thin red belt to replace the thin black one that is on the model to show patriotism yet still be fashion forward.  Only thing left to add would be a pair of simple blue pumps to complete the perfect first lady look.

The next look I would love to see Michelle don while she is out on the campaign trail is this navy Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 wrap style dress with an accented black bow in the hip. I think that this gown would enhance Michelle's curves and showcase her stunning arms quite well. Michelle much like Donna did whilst styling the collection will most likely pair this dress with a chunky statement necklace but I would hope she would change her shoe choice to be a matching navy or black peep toe pump instead.

This Lela Rose Fall 2012 black and silver abstract stripe printed top paired with black pants would be perfect for an appearance in a city that is colder as this ensemble could handle a number of different color coats to add a bright pop in the dreary cold and still look fab if she was to take the coat off. I would pair this amazing ensemble with a bright fuchsia long single breasted wool trench coat, a pair of black closed toe patent leather pumps and if its really cold a pair of tight black leather gloves to shun the cold and look extremely fabulous.

One designer that I NEVER thought that I would ever see Michelle Obama wear the avant garde high fashion designer Marc Jacobs but in fact the First Lady is a HUGE fan of the designer and has worn his designs many of times for appearances. I think that for the beginning of the campaign headed into early fall that this orange and yellow Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 lace print sheath dress would be a great option. It has fall coloring but in a very elegant avant garde way and I think that Michelle would look amazing with her toffee colored complexion. I would just keep a pair of simple nude pumps to complete her look.

In 2008 Michelle Obama wore a black and red Narciso Rodriguez on the deck of President Obama's victory platform on election night in Chicago and since she has continued to wear the designer many of times. I think that this camel, fuchsia, red, white, and black color blocked dress would be an absolutely amazing option for her to don for an appearance during the election. I think that the first lady who shows that she is definitely not afraid of color would look amazing wearing this dress and I would love for her to pair this with a pair of fuchsia heels, preferably peep toes by Jimmy Choo.

Last but not least we have this red and blue abstract plaid print Peter Som Pre-Fall 2012 dress that nips in at the waist and flares out at the bottom. This is another patriotic option for the First Lady and would be stunning paired with a red cropped bolero for her appearance Election night if her husband is re-elected. Keep the thin black belt and add a pair of black peep toe pumps and the look will be complete.

Spring 2013 Fashion Week Wish List for Anna Wintour

In just under a month on September 6th New York Fashion Week kicks off a month long celebration of the Spring 2013 Ready-To-Wear (RTW) runway collections. The person that is in the front row of each and every single one of the major shows from Ralph Lauren and Dior to Prada and Chanel is the queen of the fashion industry, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour. I have compiled a few looks that I could see her wearing whilst attending these shows. I am sure that all these looks will be paired with three things large sunglasses, beaded necklaces, and Anna's shoe obsession the Manolo Blahnik 'AW' nude slingback sandals. The first wish I have is for Anna to wear this navy blue with a black lace print Celine Resort 2013 coat paired with this black and blue striped Carolina Herrera Fall 2012 RTW cap sleeve dress. I think that this is a typical Anna look and could seeing her wearing this to any other show but Celine and Carolina Herrera. 

Next up I have paired a stunning ivory Giambatistta Valli Spring 2012 couture flower embellished coat with a stunning green and lilac Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 dress. The coat is not necessarily 100% Anna but paired with the Oscar dress which I am almost positive that Anna will own if she didn't grab the runway sample.

Following that I have a white and rust Carolina Herrera Resort 2013 tweed coat that I have ever so boldly paired with a black and white geometric Marni Resort 2013 dress that has a slight neck detail. I can see Anna walking into Bergdorf's and picking both of these items off the rack and running away to find her seat at the next show.

I love this stunning structured Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 RTW and think that it is a great choice for Fashion Month this September and can see Anna pulling this one out a few times during the course of the four fashion weeks.

Now this is just a look that I would like to see Anna wear even if she doesn't for this fashion week maybe for Couture in January or for the next fashion month next February/March. Now this is kinda a stretch as it is very rarely that Anna wears the same designer unless that designer is Marni, Prada, or Chanel unless she is just wearing a simple dress but I think that this blush fur collared black coat and ivory flapper dress from Nina Ricci Fall 2012 RTW would look amazing together on Anna.

I could not post anything about Anna's personal style without showing at least one Prada item which is this grey and white Prada Resort 2013 coat that I have paired with this blue broach print Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 RTW sheath. Of the things shown on the Prada Fall/Resort runways this is the only piece that I could see Anna wearing straight off the runway and I love it paired with the Oscar dress. As they say, 'The Devil Wears Prada.'

And finally we have a stunning pink Chanel Fall 2012 Couture classic tweed suit with a cropped sleeve bolero jacket and a dress with a slight flare at the hem. Anna wears Chanel almost regularly and I think that this amazing pink creation would be a great addition to her closet.

2012 Emmy Awards: Cat Deeley

Cat Deeley is nominated for Outstanding Host of a Reality or Reality Competition Show for So You Think You Can Dance, and truthfully I am rooting for her because I cant stand any of the other nominees. I would love to see the British star rep a British brand at this year's Emmy Awards wearing this amazing periwinkle blue Jenny Packham Fall 2012 RTW one shouldered floating gown. I think that this gown would look stunning on Cat. Add a small silver Judith Leiber clutch, sky high silver Jimmy Choo strappy sandals, and some amazing diamond earrings and a stunning cuff bracelet to pull together and complete this stunning ensemble.

2012 Emmy Awards: Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Nominees

Ashley Judd will grace the red carpet this September at the Emmy Awards as she is nominated for her role in the ABC miniseries 'Missing.' Ashley has a very sophisticated sense of style so I would love to see her wear this amazing powder blue cap sleeved Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 RTW gown. This would be the perfect choice for the star. Add a silver clutch, silver pumps, and some dainty antique earrings would complete this look.

Jessica Lange won both the Golden Globe and the SAG awards for her role in 'American Horror Story,' I am sure she is hoping to take home the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries. I would like to see the 63 year old actress wear this amazing black velvet Andrew Gn Fall 2012 RTW gown with balloon sleeves and a netting style neck. I think that this is the way an older celebrity should do covered up. Add a pair of black pumps and some simple black pumps and some beautiful diamond jewelry and the look is red carpet ready.

 This year Julianne Moore put on the face of political icon Sarah Palin for the HBO film 'Game Change,' and it has lead to her being nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries. At the Critics Choice Television Awards in June, Julianne looked stunning accepting her award for the film in a black and white Jason Wu and I think that the midnight and navy blue Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture gown that I picked for her to wear for the Emmy's would be a perfect choice for the star. I love this choice and think it would be amazing strapless for the star who should pair it with a matching midnight blue satin clutch, some navy strappy sandals, and some amazing sapphire earrings and bracelets.

Nicole Kidman debuted 'Hemingway & Gelhorn' wearing a stunning black and gold art deco Ralph Lauren Fall 2012 RTW gown and now she is going to wow us again at the Emmy Awards where she is also nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries. I think that the Aussie beauty would look amazing in this white Atelier Versace Spring 2010 Couture gown with stunning crystal embroidery. Nicole would look stunning and statuesque in this white gown paired with a matching silver clutch, silver strappy sandals, as well as some stunning Fred Leighton jewels.
