2014 Young Hollywood Awards Wish List Part 1

Allison Williams is nominated for Fan Favorite Female Actor at the Young Hollywood Awards that will take place on July 28th. With so much going on in the upcoming month and a half I decided to start these wishes early. The "Girls" star favors girlie grown up styles with a hint of edge. This electric blue Dion Lee Resort 2015 draped cocktail dress would be a perfect choice for the 26 year old actress to make for this red carpet. As one of the older stars, yes 26 is old for this red carpet, I figure Allison will bring the sophistication as we are bound to see many colorful mini dresses on the red carpet. I would pair this dress with a pair of silver sandals to give it a fun shoe and have Allison opt to go clutch-less for the night to complete this red carpet ensemble.
30 year old Aubrey Plaza is nominated at the Young Hollywood Awards on July 28th in the "Cuz You're Funny" category. Pitted against some very funny company. For this awards show I would love to see Aubrey wear this black and red Proenza Schouler Resort 2015 aline cocktail dress. The print and the sporty style of this dress make it perfect for a young Hollywood party. A red Rawoulf clutch and a pair of simple black sandals would give Aubrey the perfect ensembles to fit right on in with all of the young twenty somethings and teenie boppers that will be in attendance.
Bella Thorne is one of those teenie boppers I was talking about. At 16, Bella fits the bill of Young Hollywood. Nominated for the "You're So Fancy" and "#SocialMediaSuperstar" awards at the Young Hollywood Awards later this month, there is no doubting that Bella will be in attendance. Having worked a Versace Pre-Fall 2014 dress to the MTV Movie Awards earlier this year I would like to see what else Bella and Versace could to together. That is why I looked to the Versace Fall 2014 RTW collection and picked this teal draped mini dress embellished with six gold Medusa head buttons. I think that this is sexy yet age appropriate for the star who would most likely ad gold pumps to not make it look like she is trying to be older than she is.
And last but not least for today we have Chloe Grace Moretz. Despite being seated front row at the Armani Prive Fall 2014 Couture presentation earlier this week, which defiantely showcased quite a few looks perfect for young Hollywood, I am going to pick something from Valentino for the budding fashionista. Also nominate for "Fan Favorite Female Actor" the 17 year old would look stunning in this Valentino Resort 2015 multi colored lace striped mini dress. This striped look is one of the biggest trends that came out of the Resort 2015 collections and I am really excited becuase I love seeing patterns on the red carpet. A pair of simple Stuart Weizmann 'Nudist' sandals and a pink clutch would finish this look off perfectly for the young starlet for the Young Hollywood Awards.

Runway Report: Tory Burch Resort 2015

Almost every collection (Spring, Fall, Pre-Fall, and Resort) seems like a Resort collection when presented by Tory Burch. They all have a light breezy air about them. The Tory Burch Resort 2015 collection is along the same lines. This collection with its muted tones and classic patterns would not look out of place in resort towns like Cannes or Saint-Tropez. The buttery yellow, cornflower blue, dusty brown, beige, and cream colors of this collection will fly off of racks in stores as they are everyday wearable. This collection is perfect for more casual events and street style and the celebrities that I picture wearing these collection. 60's styles dominated this collection as they have been trending on the runways since Spring 2014 collection started rolling out.

Runway Report: Oscar de la Renta Resort 2015

With a very successful Met Ball behind him Oscar de la Renta moved forward with the flow of fashion presenting an absolutely stunning Resort 2015 collections. The collection has got to be one of my favorites from Oscar in a very long time. It melds the classic Jackie O signature style of the Oscar de la Renta brand with hip modern youthful elegance. I love the way that Oscar tailors his clothing and makes it so women of all ages can be sophisticated. I can see women of all ages and backgrounds falling in love with pieces of this absolutely stunning collection, from first ladies to pop stars. Black, white, raspberry, gold, navy, red, and pink all make their color marks alongside classic and graphic floral prints and color blocking. As with most Oscar de la Renta collections this collection is bound for the red carpets of premieres, galas, and political functions across the world.

Runway Report: Desigual Fall 2014 RTW

a
Desigual was one of the shows that I was invited to during that I didn't have to apply for. I honestly didn't know much about the Barcelona based house prior to seeing the show. Victoria's Secret models Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton opened the show which was really fun. The lights went down and a heart on the doors that would eventually open to reveal the models entrace and exits pulesed brights lights to the sounds of a beating heart. The collection entitield "Love in the City" was the designers tribute to their hometown Barcelona. Each look found insperation in the people, architecture, and atmosphere of the Spanish city. A lot of color was infused with black and white to give a punch to traditional Fall dressing. Overall this was a very youthful colllection. All the models had gold painted eyes and chic nude lips created by the MAC Pro Makeup Team, manicures also provieded by MAC, and Pantene provided the hairstyling serviced that crafted the beachy up-dos and ponytails in the collection.
