#TIFF2015: "Into the Forest," "Ville-Marie," & "Endorphine" Premieres Wish List

We haven't seen much of Evan Rachel Wood on the red carpet recently and I am hoping that when "Into the Forest" premieres at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival next month that she rocks the red carpet. I am not going to pull Evan from her comfort zone of black gowns, because she works them so well, but this Elie Saab Resort 2016 gown which features a halter neckline with linear embroidered beading on the bodice and an a-line silk crepe georgette skirt would look so elegantly sexy on Evan. The gown is covered up but the sheerness of the embroidered bodice, the open back and the thigh high slit add just enough sex appeal to make this a drop dead look for a TIFF Premiere. I would finish the look with a pair of black Gucci sandals, a black and gold Edie Parker clutch, a red lip, and a vintage inspired hairstyle to ensure that Evan kills this red carpet premiere.
Monica Bellucci is usually a bit of a snooze for me on the red carpet. The Italian model turned actress is forever loyal to Dolce & Gabbana tends to look the same on every red carpet. I am not expecting much from her at the TIFF premiere of "Ville-Marie" but I think that this red Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2015 Alta-Moda off the shoulder sheath dress would be slightly different from the completely covered looks that we are used to seeing on Monica. Now with that being said, if Monica wants to wear her favored sheer black pantyhose with this dress and clodhopper black pumps she should just stick with what she knows best. This look calls for a pair of red pumps (preferably the runway shoes), a red clutch (not 100% necissary), a pair of gold drop earrings and a red lip to ensure that this is something sexy yet refined for Monica on the TIFF red carpet.
We were first introduced to 15 year old actress Sophie Nelisse last year when she burst onto the scene with the film "The Book Thief." We are going to see Sophie present her latest film "Endorphine" at the Toronto International Film Festival. I am excited to see what she will wear because in a time where young actresses are ready to look so mature so quick I am hoping that Sophie will look sweet and age appropriate. I picked this floral embroidered Monique Lhuillier Resort 2016 high low gown with an illusion neckline. I think that this is a perfect look for a 15 year old girl to wear for a movie premiere red carpet during TIFF. A pair of yellow sandals, a pink lip, and some simple earrings would finish this look off perfectly ensuring that Sophie has a look that is event and age approriate.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook during the 2015 Venice Film Festival, which runs from September 2 to September 12, to keep on top of all the looks that come down the red carpet.

2012 Producers Guild of America Awards Wish List

Alicia Keys is going to be the key note performer at the 2012 Producers Guild of America tomorrow night in Hollywood. Alicia is a huge fan of Giorgio Armani, and has worn his designs on numerous occasions; I am really looking forward to seeing her walk the red carpet tomorrow night. This Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 RTW dress is so elegant and I am a huge fan of this specific collection, with its elegant elements and moon inspired necklines. Now for Alicia, I would actually have the moon neck removed and to be straighter because of her bust line. A pair of silver sandals and a silver crystal encrusted clutch would make this look perfect for her.
Angelina Jolie is going to be honored for her film 'In The Land of Blood And Honey' tomorrow night and I am really excited to see what she brings forward to the table, especially after her white and red Atelier Versace number at the golden globes. Angie is one of the very few people that I think can pull off this mid calf length dress, but only when it is a tappered tailored skirt like the one shown here on the Armani Prive Fall 2011 Couture runway that I would love to see Angie don. This dress paired with black Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe pumps and some amazing earrings would look absolutely stunning on the actress and producer.
I love Evan Rachel Wood on the red carpet and it is because of the sense of style that she always brings to the table. Like when she stepped out at the Golden Globes in a feather embellished gown, not many others in Hollywood could have pulled that off but she did. For tomorrow nights PGA Awards, I would love for Evan to don this stunning Chanel Fall 2011 Couture black dress with a pair of black satin Christian Louboutin peep toe pumps.
Last, but not least, Jessica Chastain is going to be at the 2012 PGA Awards as a presenter and I would love to see her don white, again, as I think she looks absolutely divine in it. This amazing Giambattista Valli Fall 2011 Couture dress has not yet been worn, and with couture fashion week starting up on Monday in Paris, I am going to be very disappointed if this dress never gets a red carpet outing. A pair of silver crystal embellished strappy sandals and some statement earrings in a bold blue or aqua along with a white clutch would just make me die if she wore it.

2012 Golden Globe Awards Television Nominees Wish List

I love Claire Danes on the red carpet, and I am really excited to see what she brings to the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. But of course no matter how well I think a celebrity dresses on the red carpet, I am going to have to put in my two sense about what they should wear and either praise them for picking something just as good or better than what I chose for them, or rip into them trying to figure out why the have not taken my advice. So dearest Claire, listen up honey doll! For this awards show I am asking you to don a designer that you have never worn before, but I think you would rock this. It is this stunning red Antonio Berardi Spring 2012 RTW gown. I think that the mix of modern style and armor style and paired with red sandals and simple makeup and her hair worn up, she would look stunning.
Diane Lane is another I love to see on the red carpet. She is not often someone who makes best dressed lists, but is never on a worst dressed list. However, we need to make Diane a best dressed woman. I plan on doing so by putting her in this Jason Wu Pre-Fall 2012 chiffon blouse with red details and a black chiffon skirt. I love this! I would push the sleeves so that they were halfway up the arm and pair it with a black clutch and black strappy sandals. Ruby and diamond earrings would complete this look.
I love Evan Rachel Wood, when she decides to pull out her full Hollywood glamour on the red carpet; but recently Evan has been going for a more masculine look and well, I want to see her to return to the old Hollywood style she used to rock all the time. To do this, I have chosen to put her in this pastel green crystal embroidered Elie Saab Spring 2011 Couture gown. I love this look, and of course I love any red head in any form of green, so I want her to wear this just for that. Some vintage diamond bracelets and silver sandals would top this look in just the right way for me.
I want to get my hands on Julianna Margulies so bad because I know she has so much potential on the red carpet, but she never lives up to it. She has recently become a fan of L'Wren Scott, I don't know if she is her stylist (because L'Wren's most famous client Nicole Kidman went trough a period where all she wore were her designs) but what ever the case L'Wren's designs are perfect for the 45 year old actress. I love this gold sequined gown, and I think that it would be elegant yet still attention grabbing in all the right ways. Gold pumps and a gold clutch with hair worn back with a few pieces framing her face.
I LOVE SOFIA VERGARA! She is one of the people I look forward to seeing on the red carpet. I am wishing for her to wear this nude ballgown with black lace and chiffon overlay. Now I am figuring that Sofia will wear a Vera Wang gown because she does wear her gowns and wears them well, but I am not sure about how she would feel about a ball gown, as she is always about showcasing her curves. I think this gown paired with emerald (which she does like to pair with her looks because she is Colombian) earrings and bracelet and some black and gold strappy sandals. Hair pulled back and soft make up would make me extremely happy.
Tina Fey is boring for the most part on the red carpet, usually donning a black gown. Well, I may not have stretched her boundaries by the color of the gown, but I am by picking a gown with all the sculptural detail that I have. This gown is from the Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall collection and Tina has worn his designs on the red carpet numerous times before, so I am hoping she pulls this gown for Sundays award show. A black bejeweled clutch and strappy sandals and some amazing diamond chandelier earrings and a diamond bracelet or two with her hair pulled back and simple makeup.
Zooey Deschanel is another one who I love to see what she brings to the red carpet. I love her quirky earthy style, which is why as soon as I saw this Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 RTW gown, I knew that it was PERFECT for Zooey. I think that she would love the floral print, and I know that she has worn de la Renta before. A yellow clutch and gold sandals would be the perfect top to this look just anything but black really would make me happy.

Best Dressed at the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards

Just as a heads up this list (except for the first picture) is in no particular order of how I liked the look of that celebrity and this is only the best dressed, I am not posting because I have an idea to use the worst dressed looks later on.

This is PERFECTION. Here is The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev wearing a red Donna Karan Resort 2012 mermaid gown. She looked absolutely stunning and 100% drop dead diva gorgeous. Nina has not always been someone that I look forward to seeing on the red carpet because she usually looks extremely tacky, so when I saw this my jaw dropped. This is my best dressed of the night.

Shall we go into the runners up (in no particular order)?:
Sofia Vergara looked absolutely stunning in her Vera Wang gown. The gown is in Sofia's favorite mermaid silhouette and she is totally working her sex symbol status. She paired her look with some statement jewelry featuring Colombian emerald from her native country, Colombia.
Sarah Hyland is wearing the youthful version of her Modern Family co-stars (Sofia Vergara) gown, but hers is designed by Project Runway alum Christian Siriano. The color is amazing on Sarah and she looks sophisticated and elegant whilst still looking youthful.
Olivia Munn becomes the first celebrity to wear a look from the Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 RTW collection. This does not come as much of a surprise as Olivia has been wearing a lot of Carolina's designs lately and was sitting front row at the designers runway show where this gown was presented last week. The color looks amazing on her and her hair is not horrible like it usually is. I am also glad that she kept her accessories simple.
Kerry Washington brought the va-va-va-voom to the 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards last night, wearing a red (the color of the night) strapless gown from the Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 Couture collection. This gown is sexy and bodacious yet still classy. I wondered who was going to be brave enough to wear this, and the even better question would she look like a whore? Well the answer to the brave is obviously Kerry and to the does she look like a whore question? No she does not look like a whore but confident and sexy.
Kristen Wiig looked absolutely fantastic in this ombre brown Zac Posen gown that was custom designed for her. Again this is a great color on her and I also that her for picking extremely complimentary accessories.
Lea Michele looked absolutely fantastic in this custom Marchesa gown. Now with that said I have to throw a flag for foul play on Marchesa. Why? Because this gown is a mix of Pippa Middleton's Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress and a Valentino Pre-Fall 2011 cocktail dress the Hailee Steinfeld wore earlier this year. Now with that said Lea still rocked it as she would have in anything and no animosity is felt for her not wearing my wish for her.
Kelly Osbourne looked amazing in her custom J. Mendel gown. Kelly whist watching the E! Live From The Red Carpet said that Marchesa would not send her any options because they were only dressing one celebrity last night (well that was found out to be not true as you will see below). Well honey all you should have to say to them is, Marchesa who? Because you look absolutely stunning wearing this gown. The color totally 100% looks great on you and your accessories are amazing.
Kate Winslet won Best Actress in a TV Movie or Mini-Series for her role in Mildred Peirce, and she looked amazing wearing the color of the night (red) her gown was designed by Elie Saab for his first ever Resort 2012 collection. The silhouette looked amazing on her and I am glad she did not opt for the runway belt. A gold clutch and simple diamonds completed her winning look.
Julie Bowen was also a winner last night and looked amazing in her Oscar de la Renta gown. This is the first time the actress has worn an A-list designer and she looked radiant and had an air of confidence that she knew how good she looked. Congrats to her for knocking it out of the ballpark last night.
Now this deserves the most improved award because this is the FIRST time EVER that Jenna Ushkowitz has ever made it on to one of my best dressed lists. Now this gown could have gone VERY wrong making it look like she has box figure but Jenna worked this gown to death which is a good thing. She pulled her hair back into a slick pony tail and amazing makeup completed her look with a clutch and simple drop earrings.
Gwyneth Paltrow looked amazing wearing an extremely daring midriff baring Emilio Pucci gown. Gwyneth who won an Emmy for her guest appearances on the hit FOX show Glee and was a presenter last night looked the point of Hollywood starlet and I find no faults in her look.
Evan Rachel Wood resorted to her go to color roots for this Emmy gown. It is from the Elie Saab Fall 2011 RTW collection and she looked the best she has in a while. I love the gown, hair, and makeup and it looked freaking fantastic.
Emily Blunt who attended the awards ceremony to support her husband The Office star John Karasinksi. Usually when she is at an event supporting John she dresses simply, not last night she went for a show stopping Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown and I am so glad that she did and I love it.
Here was the second Marchesa gown of the night, now I am posting this because she looks amazing even though she is wearing her go to nude color that she favors all to often but she still looks elegant.
I had no idea who Cobie Smulders was before I saw her in this aqua blue Alberta Ferretti gown on the red carpet. I am in love with this whole look as she looks so ethereal and luminous. This proves that when you pair the right person with the right gown, that fashion magic can be made.
I love this look again because it is ethereal but she took the look down a few notched with the vamp makeup. On any hand Aubrey Plaza looked fantastic in her white Juan Carlos Obando Fall 2011 RTW gown last night. I have no idea who she is, but I hope to see more from her in the future.
Now this is a stunning gown is stunning and looks AMAZING on Claire Danes. The Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 gown is amazing with a blue sequined geometric pattern. Claire just made this look effortless as she seems to do with anything that she puts on and I am so excited by this look and she really challenged Nina for the best dressed spot so she is best dressed first runner up, if for whatever reason Nina Dobrev can not fulfill her duties Claire will take the responsibilities over.

Now I want to hear from you:

Emmy Awards Wish List: Evan Rachel Wood (Mildred Pirece)

Evan Rachel Wood has always been one of my favorites on the red carpet, until the Venice Film Festival. She really aged herself there and now she needs to get herself back on course. Evan is one of the few celebrities who would be able to get a couture gown for the Emmy Awards because she is actually a huge movie star as well as a commonly known name. So here I have wished for her to wear my favorite look from Armani Prive Fall 2011 Couture collection. This gown has all the Asian influence that the whole collection encompassed. I would style this look with either an orange or gold Jimmy Choo tube clutch and a pair of gold sandals. To add a little more sparkle to the look I would add some diamond drop earrings set in yellow gold and a huge cocktail ring.
