2015 Golden Globe Awards: Lorde, Meryl, Reese, & Rosamund Wish List
The eccentric Australian indie pop star Lorde is nominated for Best Original Song, Motion Picture for her hit song "Yellow Flicker Beat" from "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" at the Golden Globe Awards this coming Sunday. I am excited to see what the awkward red carpet star will wear for her big night amongst the film and television elite. Having established a relationship with Karl Lagerfeld and the House of Chanel, I could find no better option for her to wear than this grey Chanel Fall 2014 Couture tea length gown which features an embellished crop top that is embellished with crystals and cement beads. I think that this hard meets soft off the wall look would make for a perfect red carpet look for Lorde. I would pair the look with the runways concrete embellished flat sandals, her hair in its natural curly manner, and purple lipstick to make this a perfect look for the young singer for her first Movie/TV awards show.
What would awards season be without a nomination for the goddess Meryl Streep? This would definitely come as a shock, and thankfully we are not going to find out just yet. The iconic actress is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role as the witch in "Into The Woods." I recently saw this film and Meryl was absolutely fabulous but I do not believe that this role will give her the Globe but every actress in the category is absolutely amazing. For the event I would love to see Meryl wear this navy blue Carolina Herrera Pre-Fall 2015 floral bouquet silk faille off the shoulder ball gown with an overlapping fold-over detail at the neckline with a fitted bodice,
long sleeves, and a full ball skirt with a vibrant floral print. I saw this gown in the lookbook and immediately put this gown on reserve for Meryl for awards season in my mind. Finish the look with a chic up do, red lip, gold sandals, and a red clutch to ensure that Meryl looks absolutely amazing on the Golden Globes red carpet this coming Sunday night.
"Wild" has earned Reese Witherspoon a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama and I really can not wait to see what she will wear on the red carpet come Sunday night. During her promo tour for this film, which included the Toronto International Film Festival and London Film Festival, Reese wore black almost exclusively. She also wore black and white to the unofficial awards season kick off, so I am hoping and praying for color at the Golden Globe Awards. This is why I picked this pale pink Antonio Berardi Spring 2015 RTW
sleeveless silk organza gown that features a fully embroidered attached
cape. This is a simple gown from the front but definitely has a dramatic back. A pair of light gold Jimmy Choo 'Vamp' platform sandals, a light pink Edie Parker 'Lara' clutch, some Van Cleef & Arpels Pierres de Caractère Precious Light earrings, and a vintage Van Cleef & Arpels gold and diamond chain link bracelet would
be the perfect accessories to compliment this ensemble. Finish the look
with an old Hollywood up-do, simple eye makeup, and a red lip so that
it will be sure that Reese has the perfect red carpet moment.
Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama nominee for "Gone Girl" Rosamund Pike has always been a favorite on the red carpet and since she just gave birth a few short weeks ago it will be interesting to see what she will bring to the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards this Sunday. At the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala Rosamund wore a trapeze dress that did not show any of her post baby body. I am hoping that she shows it off come Sunday night. This light to dark red ombre Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture chiffon gown with a deep v-neckline would be an AMAZING red carpet moment. I would imagine that with the right shapewear and corsetry that any lingering problem areas would be relatively hidden and all that would be left would be Rosamund looking like she is ready to take home a Globe. Accessorize the look with the matching Elie Saab runway clutch, a pair of red sandals, a pair of diamond chandelier earrings, and a diamond bracelet to ensure that the gown is allowed to sing. A red lip, simple bun, and her fabulous smile are the last perfect finishing touches to ensure that all eyes will be on her.
If you want to join the conversation I will be joining Kelly from Dream In Lace with a live Twitter commentary on what all the stars are wearing. So please join me (@FutureStylist93) and Kelly (@DreamInLace) at about 5 PM EST for all kinds of fashion ID's and LOTS of snarky commentary.

Runway Report: Chanel Spring 2014 Couture
Chanel Couture has a tried and true formula that Karl Lagerfeld seems to stick to. Karl works all the houses classics, the suit, the LBD, the bride, classic silhouettes into his more modern take. Each look in this collection was paired with a couture Chanel sneaker and some looks were accessorized with elbow and knee pads and fanny packs. I am just waiting to see who wears the sneakers and fanny packs during New York Fashion Week!

2014 Grammy Awards: Nominee Wish List Part 2
In her hit song 'Royals' Lorde talks about never seeing diamonds in the flesh, ballgowns, and Cristal and Sunday night she will be in a whirlwind of all of these things and more at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The new artist to the scene is nominated for 4 Grammy's including Record and Song of the Year for 'Royals.' Lorde will also take to the stage during the telecast top perform, but before she does this she will have to take to the red carpet. Lorde attended the 2013 Met Ball as a guest of Chanel so it would not surprise me to see the couture house dress the rising star for this event. I did consider putting Lorde in the recently presented Spring 2014 Couture collection but I think that the collection was too light for the grungy star and I think that this grey textured Chanel Fall 2013 Couture gown is perfect for her for this red carpet. I would love for her to really go balls to the wall with the styling pairing this look with grungy boots and maybe some sort of glove. There are not many that could make a look like that work but Lorde has the confidence to wear couture and make it look like she just threw it on as she was leaving the house like that old hoodie that we all have sitting in the back of our closet.
Now we don't see Pink wear a whole lot of top label designers but I think that she should rock this black Atelier Versace Fall 2013 Couture turtle neck gown with a sheer side panel with beaded trim for the 2014 Grammy Awards on Sunday night. I love that pink has this edgy approach to feminine dressing, and usually makes the two mesh very well and I think that this could be yet another moment where the two blur the lines and fuse together. Pink is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song 'Just Give Me a Reason' with F.U.N.'s Nate Ruess, and the duo will take to the stage during the telecast to perform together. This sexy and sophisticated ensemble would just be the icing on the top of the cake. Finish the look with a pair of simple Saint Laurent sandals and a red lip and Pink has the perfect Grammy look.
Rihanna has garnered 2 Grammy nomination's including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for 'Stay' with Mikky Ekko and Best Urban Contemporary Album for 'Unapologetic.' I am hoping that she wow's me like she did in Jean Paul Gaultier Couture at the 2013 American Music Awards and I think that this sexy white Versace Spring 2014 RTW one shoulder gown with a panel of silver draped metal mesh and sky high slit are the way to go. RiRi isn't nominated for the night's two top awards so this more toned down gown would just let Rihanna shine through with her bad ass bitch persona. Finish the look with some cool ear cuff a cuff bracelet, and a pair of silver strappy sandals will make me just squeal with delight as RiRi walks the red carpet!
Much to the worlds chagrin Taylor Swift is nominated for 4 Grammy awards including Album of the Year for 'Red.' I am praying that Taylor brings a little sexy to the red carpet like she did a few times last year at the MuchMusic Video Awards and MTV Video Music Awards in Herve Leger, and the American Music Awards in Julien Macdonald. Each time that Taylor really sexed it up she found herself on my Best Dressed List. I think that this sexy red lace bustier Elie Saab Spring 2014 RTW gown with a flowing chiffon skirt would be the sexy choice for Taylor to make for the red carpet. Pair this dress with sleek pin straight locks, a smokey eye, a neutral lippie, the runway Elie Saab sandals, and Taylor will have a sexy yet sweet look for the 2014 Grammy Awards this Sunday night!
