2014 Rome Film Festival: "Trash" Premiere Wish List

We have not seen Rooney Mara give us a major red carpet since the Oxfam charity gala last December at the Dubai International Film Festival, and I am hoping that she will take to the red carpet at the Rome Film Festival and rock some high glamour. The stunningly awkward actress would look stunning gliding down the red carpet at her premiere of "Trash" wearing this stunning white Valentino Spring 2015 RTW puffed cap sleeve a-line gown that features metallic silver starfish embroidery. I always ask myself when picking out a dress for Rooney to wear on the red carpet, "Would a young Audrey Hepburn wear this if she were at hear peak right now?" If the answer is yes then I see that as an impeccable red carpet moment. Her hair pulled into a tight bun, a red lip, and a pair of silver sandals will ensure that this gown is styled perfectly for the Rome Film Festival.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "Time Out Of Mind" Premiere Wish List

Jena Malone is one that I kinda love and hate when she takes to the red carpet. Her very slim athletic build tends to get overwhelmed by a lot of silhouettes and when she gets it right she gets it right. I think that for the Rome Film Festival premiere of "Time Out Of Mind" I think that Jena should wear this J. Mendel Spring 2015 RTW black, silver and white gown which features a modified halter neckline with a metallic, macrame lace and jacquard construction in a geometric panel design with a split up to there. I would actually pair this gown with the runway strappy pointed toe pumps that the gown was paired with on the runway, a white Edie Parker clutch, and a smokey eye will ensure that Jenna has the perfect red carpet look for a film festival that has been severely lacking in glamour so far this year.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "Eden" Premiere Wish List

With some big roles, including a staring role in the "How I Met Your Mother" spin-off "How I Met Your Dad," in her upcoming projects, Greta Gerwig has been doing a lot of the red carpet song and dance around the world and looking fabulous doing so. With the Rome Film Festival premiere of her film "Eden" upcoming next month I am hoping that we will see Greta wear a stunning couture creation for the red carpet. This black and red Armani Prive Fall 2014 Couture strapless gown that features a stunning sculpted peplum bustier and hourglass shaped skirt. While this gown doesn't have yards of extra fabric to make it dramatic I think that the way that this gown would be worn would make this a bold red carpet statement. Hair styled in a 1930's style curled bob, a red lip, a black Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of black Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals would finish this look off to create that impact making ensemble that I know that this would be.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "Stonehurst Asylum" Premiere Wish List

Kate Beckinsale is a red carpet diva every single time she takes to the red carpet, sadly we do not see enough of her on the red carpet. I am hoping that despite is off the main slate appearance that Kate will grab up a stunning red carpet ensemble when she premieres her film "Stonehurst Asylum" at the Rome Film Festival next month. Most red carpet critics will roll their eyes at the fact that I have picked yet another mermaid silhouette for Kate to wear on the red carpet but I think that this stunning Elie Saab Fall 2014 ice blue strapless gown would be a perfect impact making red carpet ensemble. I would style this look with a matching ice blue Edie Parker pearlescent clutch, a pair of silver Jimmy Choo sandals, and some amazing Chopard statement chandelier earrings would finish this look off in a simple and stunning way to ensure that all eyes are on Kate at her big premiere.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "Love, Rosie" Premiere Wish List

Lily Collins will be on hand at the Rome Film Festival to premiere her latest film "Love, Rosie." At the films gala premiere in London, Lily wore a sleek red Solace London high-neck long-sleeved gown. With that in mind I am wishing that Lily will go back to her princessy dressing with this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2015 RTW noir liquid satin strapless bodice and ombre tulle tea length gown. I think that this gown is stunning and it is modern and it is classic, an updated version of Audrey Hepburn. I would finish this look with a sleek up-do, a red lip, and a pair of gunmetal grey Christian Louboutin pointed toe pumps to keep the air of Audrey Hepburn alive.
Suki Waterhouse has become a style star within the past year, thanks in short to her status as girlfriend of Bradley Cooper, and I have to say that I have been slow to jump on her band wagon. I tend to only love Suki's red carpet looks when she is wearing Burberry, except during fashion month where she looked stunning in a few Louis Vuitton ensembles. I figure that Suki would most likely wear a Burberry gown custom made for her by Christopher Bailey, she did preview the Spring 2015 collection at the Met Ball back in May. I would love to see Suki grab this off the runway Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 RTW strapless peacock blue cocktail dress. I think that despite this being a major film festival that Suki is cool enough to make this stunning dress work on the red carpet at the films premiere. I would have Suki style her long bob with bangs with beachy waves, a red lip, a peacock blue Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of metallic silver pointed toe pumps to take Suki's cool style and add a dose of high glamour to create the perfect film festival red carpet ensemble.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "Gone Girl" Photocall & Premiere Wish List

A pregnant Rosamund Pike has been traveling the world doing the song and dance to promote her latest thriller, "Gone Girl." The film has been picking up quite a bit of Oscar buzz including one for a  possible Best Actress nomination for Rosamund. This periwinkle blue Valentino Fall 2014 Couture tulle gown with an asymmetrical neckline would look so pretty on Rosamund. The way the gown is draped just under the bust would give the perfect platform for the rest of gown to drape over Mrs Pike's growing baby bump. A simple pair of silver satin peep toe Salvatore Ferragamo pumps, a simple up-do, fresh faced makeup, and simple diamond jewels will finish what could possibly be Rosamund's best red carpet moment in her pregnancy thus far.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "A Most Wanted Man" Premiere Wish List

After a while off of the glamour path we have recently seen Rachel McAdams wowing on the red carpet. This makes me extremely excited for her Rome Film Festival premiere of "A Most Wanted Man" next month. For the films NYC premiere back in July, Rachel snagged a stunning Zuhair Murad Fall 2014 Couture one-shoulder printed silk dress with a gathered detail draping from the skirt. For Rome I have picked one of my favorite gowns from the Fall 2014 Couture collection for Rachel to glide down the red carpet in. This Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture strapless sheath dress with cascading full ball gown train would be a grand statement for a film festival red carpet in such an antique city. A sleek up-do, a red lip, simple lined eyes, a pair of navy blue peep toe satin pumps, and a stunning pair of statement earring would finish off this stunning red carpet ensemble perfectly for Rachel at a Rome Film Festival Premiere
Robin Wright skipped out on the "A Most Wanted Man" NYC premiere back in July but I am still hoolding out hope that she will take to the red carpet at the films Rome Film Festival premiere. What I love so much about Robin is that she looks stunning in such a mix of styles. She can go from stunning Elie Saab flowing goddess or tulle ball gowns to strutured orgami inspired Marchesa designs to sleek sporty styles by Ralph Lauren. Recently we have seen Robin stick mostly to being dressed by Ralph Lauren, I loved her cream backless jumpsuit she wore in lieu of a gown at the 2014 Emmy Awards, and I figure if she takes to the red carpet at the Rome Film Festival that she will pick another of the designers stunning creations. I have picked this white Ralph Lauren Spring 2015 RTW gown which feature embellished cap-sleeves and a sexy open back. This gown brings together sleek sexy elegance with a hint of that all American sportswear that Ralph is known for. A sleek gold clutch, a pair of gold Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals, and a gold bracelet would perfectly accessorize this stunning red carpet ensemble. Robin's signature short pixie styled in a sleek but punky way and fresh faced makeup would ensure that she leaps onto international best dressed lists.

2014 Rome Film Festival: "Black & White" Premiere Wish List

The always loyal to her favorite red carpet designer Octavia Spencer will take to the red carpet next month at the Rome Film Festival to premiere her film "Black & White," which saw its first premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival last month. Like I said at the start of the post Octavia is very loyal to the man who made her into a red carpet icon, Tadashi Shoji. For almost every single major appearance since she was thrust into the world spotlight when she won her academy award Octavia has worn one of Tadashi's designs. I do believe that she will do the same yet again for the Rome Film Festival. For Spring 2015 Tadashi Shoji looked at the dressings and stylings of Venice, Italy which made for a collection filled with swirling laces and flowing skirts. I picked this stone blue embroidered tulle tee and sunburst pleated floor length skirt. I would have Tadashi line the top and tuck it into the skirt defining the smallest part of Octavia's waist to give her this stunning silhouette. I would also make sure that the look was modified to have a train grand enough for a Rome Film Festival red carpet. Finish the look with a silver Edie Parker clutch, a pair of silver Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals, a chic up-do, and a pair of simple yet statement diamond cluster earrings and Octavia will shut down the Rome Film Festival with her stunning red carpet ensemble.
