2014 Rome Film Festival: "Love, Rosie" Premiere Wish List
Lily Collins will be on hand at the Rome Film Festival to premiere her latest film "Love, Rosie." At the films gala premiere in London, Lily wore a sleek red Solace London high-neck long-sleeved gown. With that in mind I am wishing that Lily will go back to her princessy dressing with this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2015 RTW noir liquid satin strapless bodice and ombre tulle tea length gown. I think that this gown is stunning and it is modern and it is classic, an updated version of Audrey Hepburn. I would finish this look with a sleek up-do, a red lip, and a pair of gunmetal grey Christian Louboutin pointed toe pumps to keep the air of Audrey Hepburn alive.
Suki Waterhouse has become a style star within the past year, thanks in short to her status as girlfriend of Bradley Cooper, and I have to say that I have been slow to jump on her band wagon. I tend to only love Suki's red carpet looks when she is wearing Burberry, except during fashion month where she looked stunning in a few Louis Vuitton ensembles. I figure that Suki would most likely wear a Burberry gown custom made for her by Christopher Bailey, she did preview the Spring 2015 collection at the Met Ball back in May. I would love to see Suki grab this off the runway Burberry Prorsum Spring 2015 RTW strapless peacock blue cocktail dress. I think that despite this being a major film festival that Suki is cool enough to make this stunning dress work on the red carpet at the films premiere. I would have Suki style her long bob with bangs with beachy waves, a red lip, a peacock blue Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of metallic silver pointed toe pumps to take Suki's cool style and add a dose of high glamour to create the perfect film festival red carpet ensemble.

2014 Met Ball: Kate Bosworth, Lily Collins, Nina Dobrev, & Rita Ora Wish List
Since attending the Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture presentation back in January, Kate Bosworth has graced 4 red carpets where she could have rocked one of the looks but she has yet to pull from the collection. I am wondering if she is saving her Dior Couture moment for the 2014 'Charles James' themed Met Ball. This black and white Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture 1960's inspired cocktail ensemble would be a perfect look for this major red carpet. Most of the attendees will go for full length gowns, and only a few ladies daring to go short. Kate rocks these retro short looks so well and I am praying that she rocks this creation on the red carpet. A bold red clutch, a pair of black and silver Christian Louboutin crystal encrusted sandals, simple diamond studs, a bold red lip, and a sleek high bun will finish off this amazing ensemble for this red carpet.
Last year donning Houghton twice for the 'The Mortal Instruments' promotional tour, Lily Collins single-handedly put the New York based brand on the map. I was lucky enough to take in the Houghton Fall 2014 RTW collection taking to the runway back in February during New York Fashion Week. There were an abundance of looks that I would love to see Lily wear but the one that stood out most to me was this amazing cream silk floral jacquard gown with an elephant ear sleeve top in the same fabric layered over to make up a dramatic ensemble for the 2014 Met Ball. Lily isn't the tallest at 5'5", but she definitely knows how to hold her own in avant garde creations. A sleek up-do, a red lip, and gold sandals will make this the perfect red carpet look for the Met Ball.
Nina Dobrev always rocks the red carpet at the Costume Institute Gala and I am excited to see what the 'Charles James' themed red carpet will bring for her this year. She knows how to work the theme and give us a non-costumey look that is usually custom. While this black and green abstract line printed gown doesn't scream Charles James to me I do think that Nina would rock the fuck out of this gown on the red carpet. Hair worn in Hollywood waves over one shoulder, simple kohl rimmed eyes, a black Edie Parker clutch, and black Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals will finish off this look.
Rita Ora knows how to make a major statement on the red carpet and I think that after donning a few other looks from the Moschino Fall 2014 RTW collection, the first for the brand from friend Jeremy Scott, I am hoping that she brings the black and white 'Nutrition Facts' ball gown the same collection. This is going to make for an absolutely stunning red carpet moment that combines both the designs of Charles James and the craziness of Rita Ora. Her signature red lip will undoubtedly be in play, with a simple updo, and a pair of bold colored sandals will make sure that Rita is on the top of every best dressed list from this event.

Runway Report: Houghton Fall 2014 RTW
This past Thursday I was blessed to attend my very first runway show during New York Fashion Week. Houghton Fall 2014 RTW was shown during MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios at 10 am on Thursday morning. Designer Katherine Polk looked to two of the most iconic women in fashion history, Katherine Hepburn (Polk's namesake) and Bianca Jagger. A good percentage of the collection focused on pants, mostly wide legged palazzo pants that opened and closed the show. The collection that Polk entitled 'The Rose Collection' which came from the ivory rose motif jacquard fabric that was featured in the first look and then followed several other looks within the collection. Coats were the real center piece of this collection as almost every single look featured a different coat draped over she shoulders of the models in true Bianca Jagger style. My favorite piece of this collection was the leather bomber style coat with a mohair lining an collar, I could picture Kelly Rowland (who was seated front row) rocking this coat in her day to day street style. A neutral color palette of greys, camel, ivory, and black made this collection light and elegant. Expert draping played quite well against impeccable tailoring to make sure that each look embodied the glamour of the 1940's and the casual elegance of the 1970's. Each look was accessorized with a pair of custom Houghton x Birkenstock sandals that featured a wide range of embellishments including mohair and crystal encrusted appliques. Hair provided by Adam Markarian for Oribe and makeup provided by Maud Laceppe for MAC completed the fantastic look that Katherine Polk envisioned for Fall 2014. Below are some of the looks that I most want to see take to the red carpet from the collection and the stars who I can picture wearing them. I was really excited to see this collection and I hope that I am able to take in the Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection come September.

2013 Tribeca Film Festival: 'The English Teacher' Premiere Wish List
Julianne Moore wowed this year during awards season wearing two of her go to brands, Tom Ford and Chanel. I am surprised that she didn't wear a Lanvin creation throught the span of the parties and awards shows that she attended. Because she didn't wear a Lanvin creation I am sure that within her next few red carpet appearances that she will. For the premiere of her new film 'The English Teacher' during the Tribeca Film Festival I would love to see her wear this blue, green, and white floral Lanvin Fall 2013 RTW dress. Lanvin comes up with a print every season that becomes a red carpet sensation and I think that this will be and I am hoping that Julianne is the first to get her hands on it. Finish with a pair of black satin pumps and and old Hollywood waves would complete this look.
Lily Collins is also in this film and I am sure that she will make an appearance during the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of this movie. I would love to see her do so wearing this black Marchesa Fall 2013 RTW with sheer sleeves and floral embroidery. This dress is the commercial version sold in pre-order from Moda Operandi inspired by the much more embroidered runway version. I think the runway version is too much for this event this scaled back creation is what should be worn by Lily for the Tribeca Film Festival. Complete this look with a pair of black peep toe pumps and a slicked back pony tail for a best dressed list worthy ensemble.

2012 Toronto Film Festival: Premiere Wish List Part Six
'Twice Born' is the film that Penelope Cruz will be promoting at this year's Toronto Film Festival. Penelope has a great relationship with Giorgio Armani having worn gowns by the designer many times on the red carpet most recently in a custom Grace Kelly inspired gown at this year's academy awards. For her premiere I would love to see her wear this lavender Armani Prive Fall 2012 Couture pencil cocktail dress. I would have this made into a simple strapless cocktail dress with the half moon neckline. Add a silver Marchesa crystal beaded clutch and some silver peep toe pumps as well as some amazing earrings by Chopard to complete the ensemble.
Jennifer Connelly is a huge fan of Balenciaga and I am hoping to see her wear the brand for the 2012 Toronto Film Festival premiere of her film 'Writers.' I think that this white column gown with heart cut outs on the bodice would be an amazing choice for the actress. She has not worn the brand since she reappeared after her hiatus from having a baby. I think that this gown is modern and elegant but simple enough for a premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Complete this look with a white and gold Jimmy Choo tube clutch, gold Jimmy Choo sandals, and maybe a gold clutch.
Kristen Bell is one that I am sure will come out for the 2012 Toronto Film Festival because it is not often that the actress will have the chance to attend one of these coveted red carpets. I think that for the premiere of her film 'Writers' that this hot pink one shouldered Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 gown would be absolutely perfect. Kristen is not one of those stars that is not afraid of bold color on the red carpet so I think that this is a great option for the star. Add a pair of silver Jimmy Choo 'Lance' Sandals and then a hot pink clutch and some amazing earrings would complete this look for Kristen to make best dressed.
Lily Collins has not wowed me this year, yes she has has some pretty looks, but I am expecting more from the 23 year old actress. I am hoping that she does wow me at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of 'Writers' and I think that this yellow brocade Valentino Fall 2012 Couture (not RTW) long sleeved gown. I think that this would look amazing on Lily in a 60's inspired type of look with the much coveted Givenchy spring 2012 nude sandals and then a yellow clutch as well as some sleek modern locks. This completes all the Toronto Film Festival predictions.

MET Ball Wish List: Kerry, Leighton, and Lily
Kerry Washington is a MET Ball red carpet regular and she definitely has a reason to walk this year as she is about to premiere her new show 'Scandal' that you can see on ABC. I love to see Kerry in Georges Chakra and when she dons his designs she always looks absolutely stunning. For this years MET Ball I am wishing to see Kerry in this peachy pink Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Couture mermaid gown. I think that this gown is absolutely stunning and has the drama that is needed for the MET. A gold box clutch, gold pumps, and some amazing diamonds are what she should pair with this gown to make it absolutely stunning.
Leighton Meester is another MET Ball regular and a huge fan of Louis Vuitton, having worn the brand on many of red carpets in the past. For this years MET Ball I would love to see Leighton to don this stunning red gown for the red carpet as when I saw it walk the runway she was the first person that came to mind. The only thing that I would change is that I would make this bell shaped skirt all the way to the floor and style this in a very 60's fashion. Add a box clutch in the same pattern of the dress in a lacquer box clutch, gold pumps, and her hair worn in a beehive style would create an ensemble that is exactly what the MET Ball is all about
Lily Collins has been having lots of princess moments on the red carpet lately most likely due to her role as Snow White in the film 'Mirror Mirror.' I am hoping to see the stunning pale actress don this amazing Marchesa Fall 2012 RTW gown that has stunning teal embroidery on the top and a champagne tulle ball skirt. I would not pair this look with a lot just maybe a pair of Champagne colored pumps and her hair worn up to show off the details of the top of the gown.
