"Creed" London Premiere Red Carpet Wish List

I saw Creed back in November and I was sitting on the edge of my seat for almost the entire movie. Such a great way to keep the Rocky tradition alive, receiving quite a lot of awards buzz for Sylvester Stallone. I am excited that the cast will be jetting to London for the European premiere. Michael B. Jordan continues to be a rising star not only on the screen but on the red carpet. I love that we rarely see Michael wearing the basic black tuxedo on the red carpet, men are starting to have fun with their red carpet dressing. I am really excited to see what Michael will wear on the red carpet at the premiere on Tuesday. I would love to see him wearing this Hardy Amies Spring 2016 Menswear silk suit. I love that the print is almost a mix of camo and water. I think that Michael would rock this suit with gusto on the red carpet. Finished with black patent leather lace ups, a crisp white button down, and a black skinny tie I think that this would be an exceptional red carpet look for Michael.
Tessa Thompson has been growing on the red carpets and I have been loving watching her make her amazing choices. I am excited to see what she is going to wear on the red carpet at the Creed premiere in London. Tessa wears a lot of the cool girl brands like Rodarte and Miu Miu and I love that about her. For this premiere I picked another cool girl brand for Tessa to wear. I would love to see her wearing this acid peridot Sally Lapointe Pre-Fall 2016 sequin sleeveless scoop neck cocktail dress. Tessa has the body type and red carpet presence to make this dress not look like she is just wearing a green sequin sack on the red carpet. With such a bold statement the dress is the styling should be kept simple with a chic bun, a lined eye, pink lip, black clutch, and a pair of simple sandals

2016 Golden Globe Awards: Roundup Red Carpet Wish List

Since tomorrow are the Golden Globe Awards are tomorrow night I am starting to get really excited. It was announced last night that the beautiful Kate Bosworth will be one of the presenters tomorrow and I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to see what she is going to wear on her first Golden Globes red carpet. I have decided to pick a beautiful vintage inspired moment with this icy blue Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2016 satin a-line ball gown which reminds me of something that Grace Kelly would have worn in her hay-day. Kate has a vintage glamour about her and I know that she would add all of the perfect touches to make this a totally classic glam look. A pair of diamond cluster earrings, a Grace Kelly inspired up-so, a pink lip, a diamond necklace, a silver clutch, and a pair of silver Christian Louboutin pumps would be the way to win my heart with this look.
Katy Perry is going to be one of the presenters tomorrow night at the Golden Globe Awards and she might be one that I have the least amount of interest in seeing. I have no idea why she is going to be there. She is not in any of the nominated film or television shows or is not part of any of the nominated songs. Anyway Katy hasn't given me a look to love in a very long time so I am not holding out hope that it will be any different tomorrow. I would however be pleasantly pleased if Katy wore this emerald green Alexis Mabille Fall 2015 Couture corseted gown which features a beaded crisscross sweetheart neckline which then drapes into a beautiful cowel down the back. I would keep the air of Dita Von Teese (who modeled the gown for the lookbook) and go with retro glam hair, a red lip, and a pair of gold pumps to keep this look perfect for a Hollywood red carpet.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is one of my favorite ladies to see on the red carpet and I am hoping that since her partner Jason Statham is going to be presenting tomorrow night. Rosie has a feminine model meets Hollywood style which makes for her being able to hang with the Hollywood crowd and the fashion crowd. I picked this Bibhu Mohapatra Spring 2016 RTW lavender and black strapless evening gown because it is chic and elegant but also very modern. I don't think that Rosie has ever worn Bibhu before but what better platform to try it out than the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. The perfect finishing touches to this look would be old Hollywood waves, a pink lip, a black Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of black sandals. This look would make for a perfect plus one look.
Sophia Bush usually nails her ultra feminine red carpet looks so I am intrigued to see what the Chicago P.D. star is going to wear on the red carpet tomorrow night at the Golden Globe Awards where she is going to be a presenter. My favorite looks from Sophia are usually the looks where she is paired up with Monique Lhuillier, so I picked this red silk faille draped peplum bodice and coral floral embroidered column skirt from the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2016 RTW collection for her to wear for the Golden Globe Awards red carpet. I have been waiting to see this gown on the red carpet and I think that we are very likely to see it on the Globes red carpet and I think that Sophia is a great choice to wear it. Finished with a red clutch, a pair of red sandals, a chic updo, diamond drop earrings, and dewy makeup this look would be finished off perfectly for this red carpet.

#RunwayReport: Topman Design Fall 2016 Menswear

London Collections Men's kicked off today with the first of the Fall 2016 Menswear shows. Topman Designs was the first up on the roster and I have to say I hope that this collection is not a sign of things to come. I personally like to dress in a very classy and sophisticated style and the 90's grunge meets 70's leisure suit thing that was going on in this collection has be worried that I won't be able to embrace the trends that are coming into my own wardrobe. There were a few coats in the collection that I wouldn't mind but that is about it. The silhouette on all of the pants were very baggy and I would never go anywhere near a velvet track suit or a crushed velvet leisure suit. I know it is not Topman that usually sets the trends for the next season it just has me slightly worried. Check out some more of the collection bellow.

What are your thoughts? Excited for these styles or are your as terrified as I am?

2016 Golden Globe Awards: Presenter & Plus One Wish List

Heading to the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night will be Televovela star and creator Eva Longoria. I have to say that Eva is either really good for me or she completely misses the mark, and she usually only hits the mark at the Cannes Film Festival. I am hoping though that when she steps out to present at the Globes that she is on point. I would love to see Eva get her hands on this vermilion orange Prabal Gurung Spring 2016 RTW gown with a velvet halter blouse and silk chiffon skirt. I think that this bold color, yet very sleek, gown would make for such a magical modern red carpet moment. Not every look that takes to a red carpet has to exude old Hollywood glamour, and while Eva does know how to work old Hollywood I would love to see her give us something a little different on the red carpet. I would pair this gown with a pair of strappy gold sandals, sun-kissed makeup, and a sleek pony tail to give Eva a modern glam moment on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Jada Pinkett Smith will most likely be on the red carpet on Sunday night on the arm of her husband, and Best Performance by a Motion Picture - Drama nominee, Will Smith. I used to love seeing Jada on the red carpet but with a lot of the looks that she wore on the red carpet at the end of 2015 just made me cringe. I am hoping that sexy, yet not trying to hard, Jada is back on Sunday night. I think that this simple white Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2016 RTW spaghetti strap gown with a plunging neckline, gold embellished waist detail, and central split would be just what I would love to see Jada wearing as she supports the man she loves. This simple gown is perfect since Jada would just be attending as Will's plus one and not a nominee, supporting a show or film she is in, or presenting. Finish this look with a gold Edie Parker clutch, a pair of strappy Christian Louboutin sandals, and a red lip and Jada will be sexy and sophisticated on the Globes red carpet.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum is always one of the best dressed plus one's that takes to the red carpets when she is on the arm of her husband Channing Tatum, who's presenting on Sunday night. I was a little less than enthused with the sheer lace Marchesa gown that Jenna wore to the premiere of Channing's latest film The Hateful Eight, so I am hoping that she will be a little more clothed at the Golden Globe Awards. I think that this raspberry pink Reem Acra Pre-Fall 2016 one shouldered draped gown, while almost a red carpet standard, is something that Jenna would look exceptional wearing on the red carpet. This gown is chic and elegant while not being anything too much. Finished with a silver clutch, a pair of silver sandals, a red lip, chic updo, and a pair of dazzling diamond earrings will finish this look off perfectly for the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards.
I am very nervous about what Jennifer Lopez is going to wear on the red carpet when she shows up to present at the Golden Globe Awards. Last year she brought a lot of drama via a caped Zuhair Murad caped gown (which one could say was too much) and then as the year went on her gowns started having less and less fabric. I always believe that the film and television awards are glamour required and the gowns that JLo has been wearing have been more on the tacky side than glamorous side. I went into the Zuhair Murad archives and picked this forest green Fall 2013 Couture strapless pleated gown. I love this gown and I would love to see it on the red carpet and I think that Jennifer would exude her sexy glamour, without looking tacky, wearing this stunning creation. A matching clutch and gunmetal silver sandals, along with old Hollywood waves, a smoky eye, and a pair of diamond cluster earrings would ensure that this is a JLo look to remember.
Maggie Gyllenhaal is another that I have a love or hate type of relationship with on the red carpet. Usually I enjoy her at the big awards shows, but she often picks looks that fade into the background. I am hoping that she brings her a-game to the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday where she is going to be on hand as a presenter. I picked this chic winter white Ralph Lauren Pre-Fall 2016 high bow detailed neck, long sleeved column gown for Maggie to wear. This is a modern yet classic type of look with no muss or fuss which I think Maggie would appreciate. With such a simple classic look I think that this gown would be perfectly styled with a gold Prada clutch, a pair of gold Prada sandals, a vintage inspired style for her bob, a red lip, and a pair of yellow gold set Van Cleef & Arpels diamond earrings for Maggie's Golden Globe red carpet moment.
Naomi Watts will most likely be on the arm of her husband, Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama nominee, Liev Schreiber at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. At the 2015 Emmy Awards Naomi played this same role wearing a Dior Couture cocktail dress which failed to impress or excite. I would keep her look simple, as she is not the focus of the night I think that something like this silver Saint Laurent Spring 2016 RTW embellished gown would be a perfect choice for her. I think that Naomi would shine bright like a diamond and play the part of the perfect plus one in this simmering gown which is not overly fussy and elegant. Styled with a sleek silver clutch, a pair of silver sandals, sleek hair, red lip, and a pair of diamond drop earrings this look could contend for best dressed against some of the nominees.

2016 Golden Globe Awards: Presenter Wish List Part 1

The Golden Globe Awards are only a few days away and the lists of presenters are starting to roll in. With each new tweet I get more and more excited, it seems like all of Hollywood is planing on turning out on Sunday. Amber Heard helped kick off awards season this past Saturday at the Palm Springs Film Festival Awards Gala, but I was sadly disappointed in her black lace Dolce & Gabbana gown which had a black bralet and a nude pencil skirt lining. I am praying that Amber really brings the sexy to the red carpet at the Globe's on Sunday and I think that she would rock the hell out of this champagne Ralph & Russo Fall 2015 Couture silk corseted gown with its off the shoulder neckline and draped skirt with a sexy split. This dress reminds me of a Grecian goddess and I believe that Amber would absolutely beautiful wearing this gown on the red carpet. Old Hollywood waves, a red lip, a gold Marchesa embellished clutch, a pair of Jimmy Choo gold 'Lance' sandals, and a pair of dazzling vintage yellow gold set Van Cleef & Arpels diamond earrings would make me fall in love with Amber on this red carpet.
It was only Tuesday that the Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2016 collection was presented in London. I am hoping that this color and patterned blocked column gown will be on a plane on it's way to the back of Amy Adams for the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. When I first saw this gown in the lookbook Amy immediately popped into my mind so when she was announced as a presenter at the Globes my mind went straight to this gown for her red carpet moment. Many stars don't take the risk of wearing patterns on the red carpet at these big red carpets but I think that this is done in such a chic and modern way that Amy would look amazing. The navy coloring in this gown would compliment Amy's peachy pink complexion and stand out against her flaming red locks. Finish the look with a black Rauwolf clutch, a pair of black Brian Atwood peep toe pumps, a red lip, old Hollywood waves, a pair of dazzling Cartier diamond earrings, and a Cartier diamond bracelet to make this the perfect look for the modern woman on a Hollywood red carpet.
At the 2015 Emmy Awards Jaimie Alexander set herself up to be a woman to watch on the red carpet wearing a custom Armani Prive multi-color long sleeved gown. I am excited to see what the Blindspot actress is going to wear on Sunday at the Golden Globe Awards. I would love to see her step out wearing this black and white velvet devore Zac Posen Spring 2016 RTW gown which features an inverted halter that drapes at the back, a relaxed floor length silhouette, and an exposed split at the back. This relaxed silhouette is something different for Jaimie who tends to stick to more fitted looks, but I think that this gown would look absolutely fantastic on her. This gown needs someone confident to wear it on the red carpet as many would get lost wearing this type of silhouette alone and add the print this is a downright difficult gown to wear. Finish this look with a vintage inspired bob, art-deco diamond drop earrings, a black clutch, and a pair of black Christian Louboutin sandals and this look is fantastic for Globes red carpet
So far Julianne Moore has been the hardest person to pick a gown for. I went through all of the recent and archived collections trying to pick something that just screamed Julianne, and I couldn't find a single thing. I am figuring that Julianne will wear a custom gown by one of her friends like Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel, or Tom Ford. I really hope so. If I had to pick a runway dress for Julianne it would be this Brandon Maxwell Spring 2016 RTW gown with its column silhouette and its dramatic train, but I would have it made in a bordeaux red or emerald green. While the black is dramatic on it's own (and a great backdrop for some amazing statement earrings) I would really love to see Julianne wearing color. I personally would love this in emerald with a gold clutch, yellow gold set Bulgari diamond and emerald earrings, a pair of gold pumps, chic updo, and a red lip to ensure that Julianne has a major moment on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday night.
Kate Hudson was kinda difficult because almost every look that I said "OOOOOOO she would look great in that" was white, and I don't think that after having such a major white moment at the Golden Globe Awards last year that she will do that again so soon. When I scrolled past this gold short sleeve column silhouette Marchesa Pre-Fall 2016 Gown with a scalloped v-neckline and bugle beaded fringe detailing I mentally dressed Kate in it and my breath was taken away. Kate really does high fashion bohemian like no other on the red carpet and I think that this gown would just come to life on her. I would keep the gold laser cut Marchesa clutch that the gown was paired with on the runway and add a pair of gold Christian Louboutin sandals, a pink lip & a simple updo to finish this look off for Kate.
I am crazy excited that Olivia is going to be on the red carpet at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday! Olivia has such a chic high glam type of look and she always leaves me speechless when she steps out. While she is not usually one to go big or go home I would love to see her wearing this Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture wine red beaded spaghetti strap gown which features a caped back. The only reservation I can see someone having about wearing this gown on the Globes red carpet is the comparisons to the red caped Ralph Lauren gown that Lupita Nyong'o wore in 2014. Olivia has this modern glamour that would take this gown into such an elegant place and would definitely put her in contention for best dressed on this red carpet.

2016 People's Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

People's Choice Awards 2016 Red Carpet
So last night the first televised awards show of the year kicked off, the People's Choice Awards. I am not going to spend too much time because this red carpet was a mishmosh of crap with a few hidden gems. The big surprise for me was just how many women showed up wearing full on gowns when the dress code for the People's Choice Awards is usually much more relaxed casual/cocktail attire. My favorite look of the night was Kate Hudson in her cream Stella McCartney tuxedo jumpsuit followed by Dakota Johnson in Armani Prive Spring 2014 Couture. Surprise favorites were Meghan Trainor in Balmain Fall 2015 RTW and Kat Graham in David Koma. I was disappointed in Priyanka Chopra as her Vera Wang Spring 2016 RTW dress reminded me of a major Carey Mulligan in Prada moment from a few Met Gala's ago, and Carey wore it better. Everyone else failed to excite. My worst dressed at the event was Keke Palmer who looked like she was auditioning for a role on the next Star Wars film with her rat tail/Jedi braid and Yousef Al Jasmi Spring 2016 Couture top and skirt which looks like something leftover from the 80's. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come this year.
