12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards Wish List

 Demi Lovato has recently started to make a red carpet come back and to assist her in her regain of the carpet I have chosen a gown from designer of the moment Maria Lucia Hohan. This Spring 2011 RTW gown would look spectacular on Demi and to finish this look all she would need are a gunmetal clutch and sandals, maybe a pair of small drop earrings. But I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Demi chooses for the awards show.

 Shakira has lost all my love for her on the red carpet as of late and I think that she definitely needs some help. So I have taken the liberty of creating this wish for her, so listen up girl. You need to start wearing bold colors again your skin tone can handle a lot of color and you should own that. For the Latin Grammys I have chosen this electric blue Oscar de la Renta from the Spring 2012 RTW collection, for its bold color. Pair this look with some matchy matchy accessories of an electric blue clutch and peep toes, and a large diamond cuff, and she would look sensational.

 Sofia Vergara is going to be one of the presenters at the awards ceremony and let me tell you I am so excited to see what she brings to the red carpet. I love it when Sofia makes an appearance on the red carpet, she is one of the few women who can make me love something by Missoni. For this appearance though I have chosen a silver Carolina Herrera gown, I love when Sofia dons a Carolina Herrera design on the red carpet because she brings sex appeal to the classic brand. To style this look I would just add silver strappy sandals and some fabulous diamond drop earrings and a diamond cocktail ring.

Now as for everyone that is going to be at the 12th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, I am most excited to see Zoe Saldana. She rarely has a misstep on the red carpet for me. One of my favorite designers to see Zoe in is Givenchy and I have chosen a stunning gown from the Fall 2011 Couture collection. I know the picture says ready to wear but that is a typo my my part and I didn't have enough time to fix that and I knew I would be writing about the look. One thing that I definitely would do is not have Zoe wear the sleeves and collar. I think that they make the look to over the top for the red carpet. This would leave us with a strapless gown wuth a beautiful peplum. To finish this look I would simply add a pair of gold sandals and let Zoe do all the rest of the work which I know she could.

American Music Awards Wish List: A, B, C!

To all the fans of the blog that feel that sometimes it gets neglected will be happy to know that from now until the best dressed of the year list goes up there will not be a day that goes by without some sort of a post, and as an FYI these posts will go up at 12pm EST each day!

Now on with the wishes! First off we have the amazingly talented and beautiful Adele. I love Adele's music, I just wish she would step up her game when it comes to the red carpet. So with that said I have chosen a yellow Burberry Prorsum Resort 2012 dress with a tribal pattern scoop necked collar. Adele is a huge fan of Burberry, hence why I have chosen this dress for her. She always has impeccable hair and make-up and to top this look gold pumps would do the right trick.

Beyonce has gotten a little bit harder to shop for red carpet pieces for as she is preggers. I love this ice blue strapless Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture dress for the fact that it would look stunning on some one like B, who is pregnant or any other celebrity in Hollywood. To finish this look lots and lots of diamonds are needed and a pair of strappy silver sandals.

Now this wish is a stretch because well Christina has gone down hill in her red carpet style ever since her divorce. Now donning this white Givenchy Fall 2011 Couture gown might be exactly what the doctor ordered to bring Christina back onto the fashion stage and out of the worst dressed lists. Tips on how to get ready for Christina: 1) NO FAKE TAN 2) Silver strappy sandals 3) No clutch and 4) Red lips. Stick to these guidelines and you could look absolutely stunning Christina, okay? Wish List: 2011 CMA Awards

Carrie is again hosting the CMA awards with Brad Paisley this year. Here is my wish list for the show.

I choose this Tadashi Shoji Spring 2012 RTW gown for Carrie to wear on the red carpet. I would love to see this on Carrie with her golden hair and amazing skin tone. I would have her hair wear her hair down and light makeup. I would accessorize this gown with a gold clutch and gold sandals.

Now I know it is a long shot but all my wishes for Carrie to wear all gowns at the CMA's tomorrow. To open the show I have chosen a bright burnt orange Farah Angsana Spring 2012 RTW gown, paired with gold heels. Look 2 is a sea foam blue from Jack Guisso Fall 2011 Couture beaded gown, I love how this dress flows which is why I picked it for Carrie (as I did with most of her looks as I feel that is a very important thing for on stage clothing.) To follow up the Guisso gown I have another orange moment but this one more of a tangerine color courtesy of Abed Mahfouz Fall 2011 Couture. And to close this segment I have chosen a blush pink Georges Hobeika Fall 2011 Couture gown that would look stunning on Carrie.

Segment 2 starts with a purple Grecian draped Zuhair Murad Resort 2012 gown, this gown would be paired with simple drop earrings and a diamond tennis bracelet. Following the Zuhair Resort gown is a black and gold over the top Georges Chakra Fall 2011 Couture gown that would be styled with black pumps. The third look in this segment is one of my favorite wishes for Mrs Underwood, this amazing aqua blue Georges Hobeika Signature Spring 2012 RTW gown paired with silver sandals and diamond chandelier earrings. To close the show I have chosen to go big or go home, and big I went with this STUNNING Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 Couture gown, I mean not that it maters because you would not see the shoes but gold sandals would top off this look.

Miranda Lambert needs major help when it comes to what she wears on the red carpet, honey if you read this just shoot me an email I'll help you out. I have chosen this salmon colored Georges Chakra Fall 2011 RTW gown for her to wear on the red carpet. There are usually one of two things that kills a look oh her for me: a) the fit, she is horrible about finding something that fits and accentuates and b) cheap shoes, Miranda has been known to wear cheap shoes with couture level creations and makes it look horrible. So Miranda wear this dress but tailor it to fit your body and then wear gold strappy sandals, and some gold drop earrings.

Taylor Swift never really disappoints on a major red carpet. Recently she has donned one of my favorite designers, Elie Saab, for most of her major red carpet appearance and I am wishing for her to wear this elegant blue Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture cocktail dress. As Taylor is maturing she is straying from froufrou princess frocks and choosing elegant but still sexy (not slutty cough Miley cough Cyrus). To finish this look I would pair it with blue Salvatore Ferragamo peep toe pumps and some diamond and sapphire earrings to frost this stunning look.

2011 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

So the Glamour has releases their 2011 Women of the Year list and this year there were two fashionistas on it this year. Jennifer Lopez and Lea Michele. I don't know when this awards ceremony is to take place but I am sure it is coming up and here is what I want these two divas to wear on the red carpet to receive their awards.

 For Jennifer Lopez I have chosen this ice blue one shouldered embellished Atelier Versace Fall 2011 Couture gown. This gown is just formal enough without being over the top for the event. To accessorize this look I would add a silver crystal Judith Leiber clutch, silver pumps, and a stunning bracelet would be the perfect topping to this elegant look

Lea Michele knows how to work a red carpet. I love to see her in bright colors which unfortunately she is either dark colors or light pinks, so this bright orange Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 RTW would be a great thing to see on her. To finish this look I would add a pair of strappy gold sandals, gold drop earrings, and gold bracelets.

2011 MTV Europe Music Awards Host Selena Gomez

Europe must love Selena Gomez as a host because this is the second European award show this year that Selena is hosting. Well because she is hosting I am sure she will change numerous time through out the night as well as make an appearance on the red carpet. I have compiled a wish list of what I would want her to wear for the night.

For the red carpet I have chosen this fun purple Zuhair Murad mullet dress. If anyone can pull off a mullet dress it is Selena, because she is so young. To finish this look off I would have her hair pulled back, purple clutch and sandals, and a stand out diamond cuff.

The show wishes are set in order of how I would have her wear them on the stage. For most of the night I will say that silver sandals are going to be her best friend. This is good for her when she has to quick change. Well to start the show I would have Selena in this stunningly elegant pink Georges Hobeika Signature Spring 2012 gown paired with the silver sandals and a diamond cuff. Look two is a beaded Jenny Packham Spring 2012 RTW which would be paired with gold sandals and gold drop earrings. The Paule Ka Black Carpet Collection dress would be paired with matching pumps and a stunning diamond necklace, and the final look in this segment is the sequined Emilio Pucci Resort 2012 patterned sequined dress that would be paired with the silver sandals and a solid silver cuff.

 

 The first look in the second segment is a beaded gold Mandalay gown, I have heard that Mandalay has sent options to Selena so who knows this might happen. I would pair this dress with the previously mentioned gold sandals and a diamond tennis bracelet. I would follow that gown up with a cute D&G Spring 2012 dress, I love this dress for so many reasons but it is just so colorful and fun that I just would DIE to see Selena in it. I would finish this look up with a pair of red satin pumps. The second to last look, which is Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 RTW could be a red carpet look but I want to see Selena in it and this would be paired with those now famous silver sandals. To close the show Selena would keep her silver sandals but this time pair them with this gunmetal grey KaufmanFranco Spring 2012 RTW gown to close the show elegantly.

2011: MTV Europe Music Awards Red Carpet Wish List

Beyonce is one of the many people nominated at the 2011 EMA's, now with her being preggers, I am not sure if she will fly to Belfast, Ireland for the awards show. Now with that said I have still picked a gown for Mrs. Knowles to wear. B was one of the celebrities who was front row at the Vera Wang Spring 2012 RTW show and this floral gown from said collection is perfect as it will drape nicely over the baby bump. I would recommend that she wear her hair down with lots of curls and hot pink sandals.

Britney Spears is almost a lost cause when it comes to the red carpet, but yet I still hold a sliver of hope and continue to make wishes for her. Here I have chosen a white Herve Leger Spring 2012 RTW cocktail dress. I choose this because whiles it is still mini and figure hugging there is a beautiful fringe and has is not boring like some of her looks can be. I know I will not win with her when it comes to her hair and makeup it will be kohl-rimmed eyes and her long blonde wavy locks, but I would like to request that if Mrs Spears wears this dress she leave her ugly heavy black ankle boots at home and opt for a silver sandal.

Fergie, what can I say about her. She is a hit or a miss on a red carpet, not always someone that I want to see. BUT when she gets it right she really gets it right. This blue Georges Chakra Fall 2011 RTW gown would look absolutely stunning on her, if she left her stupid eye piercing at home and wore some KILLER diamond earrings. I would also recommend a diamond cuff and some peep toe pumps that match the dress. As far as hair and make-up hair pulled back into a tight ponytail and some simple smokey eyes would take this look into a whole other level.

With this wish I would first like to start off my thanking Martine at Georges Hobeika for helping me in aquiring the image of the gown. Now back to topic, JLo is a red carpet diva and she knows how to dress. She has very few looks in recent years that I have not liked. She really embraced the goddess look a few years back and this wish brings her back to that root. I think that the pale blue color would look absolutely amazing against Jenny from the Blocks coloring. I am almost 100% certain that JLo would not disappoint in the accessories department, but I would pair this with a silver Judith Leiber clutch, silver sandals, a pair of amazing earrings, and a statement ring. Loose curls and diva-licous make-up would put the perfect topper on this stunning look.

Katy Perry has gone from wearing extremely elegant Marchesa to super quirky Jeremy Scott on the red carpet at the EMA's. This year I want her to go over the top in this AMAZING pink Zuhair Murad Spring 2012 RTW gown. The minute I saw this gown online I knew I would have to wish for Katy to wear it to something, so here it is. This gown would stand alone as it is and I would only add diamond stud earrings and some pink pumps.

Lady Gaga as not worn Chanel in a long time and I think that the EMA's would be a perfect place for her to regain her love for the brand. I think that this look head to toe, hat and gloves included, would be absolutely perfect for her. Crazy make-up and sky high shoes would be exactly what she would add to make this look totally GAGA!!!!

Rihanna has been looking absolutely stunning lately and I think that she has exactly what it takes to make this Atelier Versace gown her own. I love the sexy cutouts and the water pattern. I could she her wearing gold strappy sandals and a giant gold cuff to finish this look off.

Naomi Watts for the J. Edgar New York Premiere

 Naomi has SOOOOO much red carpet potential, but she rarely actually lives up to it. I think that she needs to step up her game, as awards season is right around the corner and Naomi just might end up with a nomination for a movie and if she disappoints on the red carpet I will be highly upset. So for the New York premiere I have decided to make Miss Watts go all out Hollywood glam with this dramatic deep red Zac Posen Spring 2012 RTW gown. This dramatic gown needs simple eye make-up and a bold red lip. I would also recommend that Naomi wear her hair up to showcase the beautiful neckline of this stunning gown.

Here are the recommended accessories to pair with this look: the always favored red carpet bag designer Judith Leiber with this burgundy and jet crystal clutch, black lace Christian Louboutin peep toe slingback pumps, and then Harry Winston vine earrings and a stunning statement ring. If she kept to this guide she would no doubt be on everyone's best dressed lists.
