I am sooooo sorry for not writing anything before 3:30 today on this post, I am a Florida Gulf Coast University student who was supporting my team in making history and I neglected my site. Jennifer Lopez showed up in Cannes in 2010, but did not attend any of the red carpet premieres but opted only to attend the annual Vanity Fair/Gucci party wearing a silver Gucci cocktail dress and the amFAR Cinema Against AIDS gala wearing a pink Roberto Cavalli Couture gown. I am hoping to see the stunning Latina pop star walking the red carpet and famed stairs at the Palais de Festivals. The first gown I would love to see Jennifer wear is this stunning gold tone on tone stripped Abed Mahfouz Spring 2013 Couture gown. This is a glamorous gown is s sexy sophisticated gown would be a perfect fit for the French Riviera. Next is a stunning seafoam green Georges Hobeika Fall 2012 Couture gown. This gown walked the runway in July of last year and the moment that I saw the leg cut out there has only been one lady that I have been dying to see wear it and that lady is Jennifer. Another sexy flowy yet sophisticated gown perfectly light for the Cannes Film Festival. Last I have a true bold statement via this black Marchesa Fall 2013 RTW gown with gold bodice embroidery. Jennifer has not worn a Marchesa gown in a very long time and I miss the glamorous partnership that the two had together and what a better location then Cannes to rekindle the relationship. This gown with a grand train would be perfect bold statement to make on the red carpet.
Last year Julianna Margulies looked fantastic wearing a bold red on maroon Reed Krakoff custom gown at the 'Cosmopolis' Premiere at Cannes and then brought classic glamour via a L'Wren Scott black gown at the amFAR Cinema Against Aids Gala. I am hoping to see her again this year working some bold statements yet again. The first look I have is a stunning Armani Prive Spring 2013 Couture red gown with a peplum and flared hem. Julianna has started to show that she is a fashion fan and not just a red carpet one note and she has been wearing several statement making ensembles. Next is a Lanvin Fall 2013 RTW dress, on the runway this gown was presented with a heavy yoke and as a cocktail dress. For the Cannes Film Festival I would love to see her wear this as a full length gown and have it made strapless. This would be a play on old Hollywood from the 1960's and a beautiful red carpet moment. Finally we have a stunning peacock blue Naeem Khan Fall 2013 RTW velvet gown with gold beading and embroidery. This would be a glamorous moment with a simple silhouette. I will say Julianna is one of my must sees during the festival this year.
Early this year L'Oreal announced Lea Michele as a spokesmodel and as soon as the news was the released the fashion world lit up with prayers that they will send her to Cannes this year. Lea has been working the red carpets this year wearing several couture creations and looking fabulous. If Lea attends this event I would love to see wear these three looks among many others. First is a stunning pink silk Andrew Gn Fall 2013 RTW mermaid gown. Lea needs to make a bold statement on the red carpet and this is it. The last time I remember seeing an Andrew Gn design on the Cannes red carpet was a stunning 40's inspired moment from Elizabeth Banks in 2009 and it will be hard to top that but I do not think Lea needs to try and top it just bring her own glamour to the carpet. Next we have a stunning bright blue Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Couture gown. Lea started a relationship with the House of Versace last year at the SAG Awards wearing a silver silk chiffon gown and I think that this would be the perfect gown from the house for Lea for Cannes. And finally we have a gown from the Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 RTW collection. Oscar is one of Lea's favorite designers and they have always had a phenomenal partnership with each other. This chartreuse velvet gown would be a sexy but classic gown but I am hoping to see her have a much more dramatic train with this gown than what it appears to be on the runway. Needless to say Lea is another one to look for this year.
