2012 Grammy Awards Nominee Wish List: Adele, Beyonce, Carrie, and Christina

As a bigger woman, Adele, has a hard time getting designers to loan her clothing since a lot of them do not make their designs in her size. I am calling on Bottega Veneta to make this Spring 2012 RTW blue and black chiffon gown in Adele's size and send it to her. I think that this gown is just the kind of departure from her normal style by adding the main color of the gown being blue instead of her go to black. Add a black crystal encrusted clutch and black pumps and it would be a great look for the singer.
If Beyonce attends the 2012 Grammy Awards, it will be her first public appearance since having her baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter, with Jay-Z. From some twitpics I have seen of Beyonce, she didn't really gain much weight during her pregnancy. So knowing that B will most likely be back to her old self again, I am wishing for her to don this blue and black Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 RTW gown. I think that gown would look stunning on B and with some Lorraine Schwartz diamonds and sapphires, a simple blue clutch, and black peep toe pumps she would be right back on the best dressed lists.
I am also excited to see Carrie Underwood next Sunday night, as she always brings the glamour on the red carpet. I am wishing for Carrie to wear this white and peach Georges Hobeika gown with a shell style fan detail on the bodice. I think that this gown is totally what Carrie goes for on the red carpet, elegant and glamourous with a slight edge, which comes thanks of that fan. A gold clutch, strappy sandals, and she should wear her hair worn like it is in the image on the left.
First thing I am going to tell Christina Aguilera is that she needs to drop the Ompa Lompa tan and actually tan in the sun, or is she just to busy doing...wait what is she doing right now? Well whatever, I am expecting to see her at the 2012 Grammy Awards and I would like to see her return to one of her favorite designers by wearing this black Atelier Versace Spring 2010 Couture gown with side cutouts and a thigh high slit. A pair of black spikey Christian Louboutin sandals and a pair of statement earrings would complete this best dressed worthy look, but only if she drops the Ompa Lompa tan.

2012 SAG Awards Best Dressed

1) Lea Michele wowed me by wearing a stunning dove grey Atelier Versace Fall 2010 Couture gown, with a thigh high slit. This is such an unexpected look from the 'Glee' star who usually goes for large Oscar de la Renta ballgowns, sculpted Marchesa designs, or glittery Jenny Packham frocks. So needless to say, when I saw the star not wearing something within her comfort zone and totally out of her box of tricks, my jaw dropped. I always pictured this gown on someone like Angelina Jolie, but well, I have to say that Lea works the hell out of this stunning design.
2) Natalie Portman looked absolutely stunning as she made her appearance on the SAG Awards telecast as a presenter wearing a stunning plum colored Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture gown with a draped chest ruffle. I think that this looks amazing on her and that it is a great choice for her. This gown makes me think of two gowns, one a pink Rodarte Natalie wore to the 2009 Oscars and a purple gown worn by Amy Adams to the SAG's in 2009 by Giambattista Valli as well. I think that that Natalie totally rocks this dress.
3) Emma Stone took a risk by wearing this tea-length Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 gown with a chest ruffle, and I will say it paid off. There is no real innovation in the styling, as it is the same Alexander McQueen clutch that was paired with the dress in the lookbook, and a pair of ruffled Alexander McQueen black peep-toe pumps. But Emma just has the stature to make this look amazing on her.
4) Viola Davis has started taking risks on the red carpet this awards season, and I believe she is doing this because she actually has a shot of winning (and has won most of the awards sans Golden Globe that she has been nominated for) and knows that her face will be all over the news and magazines holding her award. She won last night, and is all over the media in her stunning white Marchesa gown with golden embroidery and embellishment on the bust. Viola really let the dress do the talking by adding a bronze clutch and a few bracelets. Wind whipped up do completed her amazing look.
5) Emily Blunt blew things out of the water again when she attended the SAG Awards with husband and 'The Office' star John Krasinski. I don't know what it is, but my favorite looks from Emily are not from when she is actually dressing as a presenter or a nominee, but when she is dressing as the arm candy of her husband. She definitely did so wearing this green Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 gown. No one quite does elegant and sexy at the same time like Oscar and I am so excited to see her wear this dress; I thought it was lost forever in the archives as there have been two new collections since this was presented.
6) Baby got back is really all I have to say about Kyra Candlewick's orange halter Emilio Pucci gown with side cutouts. For 46, Kyra looks fantastic in a gown that was most likely intended for a celebrity in her 20's.
7) Naya Rivera looked fantastic and the best she ever has worn is this ice blue Naeem Khan Spring 2012 RTW gown, that she modified to be sleeveless. I think that Naya has finally found a silhouette that works for her, and I hope her days of tacky taffeta ballgowns with thigh high slits are gone. This is elegant and sexy, without being trashy or high school prom which are things that Naya seemed to favor in the past. She let the gown do all the talking by wearing a minimal amount of small style jewelry and not carrying a clutch.
8) Amber Riley completes the 'Glee' girls who made my top 10 at this event. The plus sized actress looked phenomenal wearing this black lace Badgley Mischka cocktail dress with a bow accented bust. I have read lots of criticism of the bow, but I think that it is the best feature on her, as it draws attention to two of her best features and her face. She wisely added a simple black clutch and black peep toe pumps.
9) I don't really know who Emilia Clarke is, but I will say that she looked absolutely stunning last night at the SAG Awards wearing a Chanel Fall 2011 RTW gown with a white top that has puff sleeves and a black feather skirt paired with a black jeweled belt. This is actually a red carpet re-run, Zoe Kravitz wore this gown last year, but I will say that Emilia wears it better; Zoe removed the belt which is desperately needed to complete this look. Messy pulled back hair and red lip color completes this regal look.
10) Rose Byrne also took a huge risk that paid off at the 2012 SAG Awards by wearing this Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture jumpsuit. Now I can remember celebs trying to wear jumpsuits on this red carpet in the past, but none of them payed off like it has for Rose. This look is amazing, and she accessorized it in the right way by adding a waist band, a Jimmy Choo clutch, and a statement bracelet. These elements created the perfect red carpet approach to wearing this jumpsuit.

Reese Witherspoon Wish List for "This Means War" Premieres

I love when Reese Witherspoon steps out on the red carpet to promote herself or a film she is in, and I have my wish list for her LA, New York, and London premieres of her new romantic comedy 'This Means War.' This movie follows the story of two CIA agents (Tom Hardy & Chris Pine) as they epically battle against one another for the love of a woman (Reese) after they find out that they have both been dating her.
For the Los Angeles premiere, I would love to see Reese wear this white strapless Donna Karan Pre-Fall 2012 column dress with a black waist scarf tied into a bow. I think that this dress is everything that Reese looks for on the red carpet (as are the others), ladylike and elegant. Pair this with a pair of aqua Christian Louboutin peep toe pumps with black beading and the matching clutch would look amazing with her luscious locks tousled. For New York, I would kill to see Reese in this black and white ink spatter print Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 RTW halter neck dress. I love it when Reese gives us this 50's housewife silhouette and then gives it a modern twist by wearing a futuristic style tight pony tail. Those elements mixed with silver chain link Giambattista Valli sandals would look amazing on the red carpet at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York. And finally for London, Reese needs to wear this Nina Ricci Spring 2012 RTW navy ruched cocktail dress with a beaded yoke accented with a navy bow. I think that this would look absolutely stunning on her, and I would die if she wore it, as it was one of my favorites of this collection and with the Fall 2012 RTW collection nearing debut; I fear it will be lost in the archives of the houses extensive closet forever. Simple accessories such as navy Jimmy Choo strappy sandals and a semi matchy navy and aqua Salvatore Ferragamo clutch would complete this stunning look.

2012 SAG Awards Presenter Wish List

Angelina is like the perfect woman; she always stands beside her long time partner Brad Pitt, and she always does so looking fantastic. Angie is a huge fan of Armani Prive and I would love to see her don this gown from the Fall 2012 Couture collection. I have been extremely let down that most of this collection has not been worn on the red carpet. I think that this is the perfect mix of black and orange for the stunning actress. Hair worn up, and orange clutch, black peep toes, diamond drop earrings, and a black sheer shawl would complete this typical Angie sexy look.
Emma Stone is a daring beauty on the red carpet, and I think that she would look absolutely stunning this amazing detailed Rodarte Spring 2012 RTW purple gown. I have never seen Emma wear Rodarte, but I think that this gown against her fair skin and red hair would look amazing on her. I would pair this look with a pair of purple strappy sandals.
Penelope Ann Miller is someone who I had not heard of before this awards season, though she always look stunning, but she has worn all Pamella Rolland to this point and I would like to see her embrace another designer. I would like for her to wear this creamy gold gown from the Marc Bouwer Fall 2011 RTW collection, with a plunging neckline and a rise and fall hemline. A gold crystal encrusted clutch, gold strappy sandals, and a statement yellow diamond necklace and cocktail ring.
I have got to give credit where credit is due. I was really expecting for Shailene Woodley to really let me down this awards season, but I have been extremely surprised by her run so far. I am not exactly sure that she will wear this stunning black, red, and white floral print gown, just on the fact that it is a little bit bigger in the skirt than exactly what she would normally wear, but I think that she would look amazing in this gown. Just a pair of black strappy sandals, a pair of simple diamond stud earrings, and a giant diamond cocktail ring and hair worn back and up would be absolutely perfect.

2012 SAG Awards Best Actress in a Motion Picture Wish List

I am forever in love with Glenn Close, she is true to herself on the red carpet as she always dresses true to her form, but I have to tell u Glenn velvet is not your friend as it is way to heavy on your frame. I would love to see you in this cream Georges Hobeika Fall 2011 Couture column gown with sheer floral embellished long-sleeved top. I think that this is the perfect mix of dressing modern and dressing age-appropriately. A gold clutch and gold peep toe pumps would complete this look with Glenn's signature hairstyle.
Now, I find Meryl Streep extremely hard to decide what she is going to wear, as she changes it up all the time. Well, for the SAG's, I am wishing for Meryl to wear this emerald green Badgley Mischka Pre-Fall 2012 RTW gown. I really don't feel like wasting my time on her because she is almost a lost cause; just add a pair of black pumps and maybe a black clutch cuz that is what she would do even though I would really recommend matching with green peep toes and a gold clutch, but hey that's just me.
Michelle Williams can go from dressing overtly mature to dressing way too youthful. I am going for a more youthful look by asking Michelle to wear this baby pink Chanel Spring 2011 couture gown that goes to the ankles with the beaded t-shirt style top. I think that this would be perfect for Michelle; it's youthful and elegant but still fun. She should put no hair accessory with this and add a silver crystal encrusted clutch with silver strappy sandals to make this look sing.
I love Tilda Swinton's androgyny on the red carpet and after my wish (of style not color but love the color on her) came true at the Golden Globes! I am hoping that it happens again, but Tilda has never worn this designer before to my documented knowledge. I would love to see Tilda in this nude colored Bouchra Jarrar Spring 2012 Couture top and full length skirt. I love when she wears these draped ensembles and pair it with a gold clutch and maybe the same gold sandals she wore to the Golden Globes would be perfect. If she wanted to add some bling a gold cuff would be a perfect way to.
After Viola stepped out at the Golden Globes in her burgundy Emilio Pucci gown, with a thigh high split, I knew that I had to step up my wishes for her, so I did. I would kill to see her wear this bold green Elie Saab Spring 2012 RTW gown with a central split. I think that this color would look amazing on Viola and she wore gold strappy sandals, carried a gold crystal encrusted clutch, and placed a pair of amazing gold diamond drop earrings would make her end up on my best dressed list for sure.

2012 SAG Awards Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture Wish List

I am really excited to see Berenice Bejo this Sunday night at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The Argentinian actress rarely disappoints me when she steps out on the red carpet and she usually does so by wearing Elie Saab (only switching it up when she wore Gucci Premiere to the 2012 Golden Globe Awards). Well, I am making my prediction here by going into the archives of Elie's couture closet and pulling this pale pink lace one shoulder gown from the Spring 2010 Couture collection with a thigh high split. People who read the blog may not understand why I pull from past collections for celebrities. The answer to this question is simple, I only do it with couture because according to fashion laws couture is seasonless. So I am hoping to see her in this gown paired with silver bejeweled sandals, a silver Swarovski clutch, and diamonds from her go to jeweler Chopard.
This is the second wish I had for Jessica, and I only did it because I was trolling through Versace's pictures and found an image of a celebrity wearing the dress; I was going to wish for Jessica to wear just days before this posted. Well, that is all okay, because I am wishing for her to wear this amazing black and green Armani Prive Spring 2012 Couture gown. Jessica was front row at this show just yesterday and I knew from this moment that she had to wear this gown (among others in the collection). I have been a long time fan of redheads in any form of green, and this will be no exception. I think that Jessica should wear her hair pin straight but pulled back out of her face (not like in the picture where she is wearing white Givenchy) and a pair of black sandals would complete this amazing look for her and for me.
Now I am excited to see Octavia Spencer on the red carpet on Sunday. Octavia has defiantly stepped up her game this year to make sure that she looks good as she is the main hopeful to win the 'Best Supporting Actress' Oscar for her role of 'Minny' in the hit film 'The Help.' For the SAG's I am really hoping to see Octavia in this stunning white flowey Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 RTW gown with a black strappy halter neck. As a full figured woman Octavia is limited to the designers that will lend gowns to her, which is a shame, Monique has designed gowns for fuller figured women for past events and I hope that she would be willing to put her in this gown. A pair of strappy sandals in sliver, a black crystal encrusted clutch, and great pair of stunning diamond chandelier earrings and a great bracelet will be all that is needed to make this look stunning.

2012 Directors Guild of America Awards Wish List

The Directors Guild of America is having its annual awards ceremony on Saturday night. This event is usually packed with actors and actresses supporting their directors. One, I am really hoping to see is 'The Artist' star Berenice Bejo. The Argentinian beauty has dazzled on the red carpet this awards season and I would actually like to see her sparkle this Saturday wearing this amazing Givenchy Spring 2012 RTW dress. I think that Berenice has just the right look and attitude to wear this dress; she gives off this very effortless style even when she is wearing haute couture. A silver clutch and silver pumps are a must have for this look to be effortless and not to over the top.
Rooney Mara has been wearing a lot of black, which I think is due to her hairstyle and color, but the actress who in a way looks like a reincarnated Audrey Hepburn, should embrace that by wearing things that the iconic actress if she were in her prime now would wear. To do this for the DGA Awards I have chosen to put the stunning actress in this stunning Viktor & Rolf Spring 2012 RTW dress. I think that it is a mix of Rooney's style, classic elegance, and a modern edge. To complete this look, black strappy sandals and a matching aqua clutch and a few amazing bracelets would look stunning.
Last, but not least, I would like to see Shailene Woodley a co-star of the film 'The Descendants' wear this amazing Georges Hobeika Fall 2011 Couture gown. I think that Georges Hobeika doesn't get enough love on the red carpet, and I do not understand why because his designs are top notch. I think that this salmon pink color would look stunning on Shailene with a pair of gold strappy sandals and a metallic gold clutch.

2012 SAG Awards Best Television Actress Drama and Movie Wish List

I am a huge fan of Diane Lane's red carpet style, and I am looking forward to seeing what she brings to the SAG awards red carpet Sunday night. I would love to see Diane wear this amazing emerald green Zac Posen Spring 2012 RTW gown and I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this color; it would photograph extremely well against the red carpet and the yellow step and repeat. An emerald green clutch, peep toe pumps, and diamond chandelier earrings and bracelets would make this look sing the most amazing song on the red carpet.
I am also a fan of Julianna Margulies on the red carpet, when she gets it right. I think that she would get it right by wearing this amazing black and white Bottega Veneta Spring 2012 RTW gown. I love this gown and do not understand why it has not been worn before this point, but oh well; more of an option for Julianna Margulies to wear for the SAG Awards. Pair this dress with a black Swarovski clutch, a pair of Christian Louboutin black strappy sandals, and minimal jewelery and she would shine on the carpet this Sunday night.
Kate Winslet wore Elie Saab to the 2011 Emmy Awards and looked absolutely stunning, so I am wishing for her to don Elie's classic designs, yet again, by wearing this royal blue frock from the Spring 2012 RTW collection. I think that this gown would look stunning on Kate, who I always love in blue (my favorite moment next to the Elie Saab at the Emmy's was the Narscio Rodriguez to the SAG's in 2009). I also think this silhouette would look stunning on Kate, who tends to favor very form fitting designs. This is much flowy-er than what she normally goes for, but I think that a change up is good for everyone from time to time. A pair of matching blue peep toes and a blue clutch with some Tiffany diamonds would look stunning on the actress.
Kyra Sedgwick is hard to predict on the red carpet because just when you think that she is gonna pull the classic card, she shifts and gives you something showstopping. Well, for the 2012 SAG Awards Sunday night, I am hoping to see Kyra as a showstopper wearing this amazing sequin Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2012 RTW gold and nude colored gown. I love this dress and I think that it would look absolutely stunning on Kyra. A simple gold clutch and a pair of gold strappy sandals would complete this amazing showstopping ensemble.
