I will say I am excited to see Kate Beckinsale return to the red carpet this year, as she has a few movies to promote this year, the first of which is 'Underworld: Awakening.' Kate can go from sexy temptress in sexy cocktail numbers, like this one, to glamour goddess in sequin gowns like the one she is pictured in. Well, for the mood of this film, I see Kate wearing more cocktail style ensembles whilst promoting it than gowns. The first wish is for Kate to wear this Alexander McQueen Spring 2012 RTW black chiffon cocktail dress. This dress paired with an aqua clutch and gold sandals would look stunning with her hair worn in a sexy loose pony tail.
Now, of all of the wishes that I have for Kate for this promo tour, I would 100% DIE if she wore this amazing Atelier Versace Fall 2011 Couture pop art style dress. Regular readers will know that I am dying for this dress to be worn on the red carpet first for Rihanna to wear at the Grammy Nomination Concert, then Katy Perry for the Peoples Choice Awards, and now Kate Beckinsale for the 'Underworld: Awakening' promo tour. I think that of all the women that I have wished to wear this piece, I would be most excited if Kate would wear it. I know Kate has worn Atelier Versace on a few occasions before, and that this is going to be a semi-lockdown wish. Believe me, all you who follow me on Facebook and Twitter will know if she does, 'cause I will post about it non stop, basically. To make this dress appear on my best dressed list, Kate should she wear amazing shoes and not your stereotypical red carpet go to black pump.
Kate is also a HUGE fan of Chanel, so I think that this greyish lavender trapeze style draped dress from the Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection. This dress paired with a pair of gunmetal grey crystal encrusted Jimmy Choo sandals and flowy hair would be a stunning look for a premiere, or even a press photocall. Kate knows how to bring it and she does so in a classy way. There is rarely a time when Kate does not make my best dressed list; she is definitely one of my girl crushes.
This dark blue J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2012 dress would be perfect for a press junket, maybe an appearance on the Today Show or something. She could also wear this dress on the red carpet for a premiere; it's very versatile in that respect. A navy blue crystal encrusted Judith Leiber clutch and a pair of matching blue strappy sandals and hair worn curled, off one shoulder like it is in the reference image.
And last, but not least, I have this wish for another of Kate's favorite red carpet designers, Lanvin. This amazing teal ruffled cocktail dress with chocolate brown ruffle details from the designers Pre-Fall 2012 collection. I love this dress, as it is in one of my favorite color combinations, and I think that it would look amazing against Kate's skin. A pair of chocolate brown strappy sandals and a chocolate clutch would be amazing with her hair pulled back into a sleek up-do.
