Amy Adams is one of my favorite ladies to see take to the red carpet, and this year Amy has given us a wide range of fabulous designs on the red carpet experimenting with brand new looks. I am expecting that Amy will give us a major red carpet at the 2014 Met Ball. A purple Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 RTW draped gown would be the perfect option for Amy to give an elegant yet bold look on the red carpet. To bring out the blue embellishments on the skirt I would pair this look with a blue Edie Parker clutch, and a pair of dyed to match purple Charlotte Olympia pumps and a very elegant up-do will complete this look for this red carpet.
Blake Lively has been bringing her best back to the red carpet this year. After being off her game for most of last year, Blake has finally mastered a good way of being sexy whilst being grown up. I am excited to see what all 2014 will bring for Blake as she and hubby Ryan Reynolds are booked to walk the red carpets of the Cannes Film Festival next month (wish list for those red carpets to come later this month.) As a constant guest of the Costume Institute Gala since the early years of 'Gossip Girl' Blake will most likely werk the red carpet this year as well. I think that this tangerine orange Marchesa Fall 2014 RTW gown which reminds me of an western take on the Indian sari would be something perfect for Blake to rock on this red carpet. The stunning beading and draping just make this gown into something that is absolutely beautiful. A gold Edie Parker clutch and a pair of custom made Christian Louboutin gold sandals will finish off this look, with some beautiful old Hollywood waves thrown over one shoulder.
Cate Blanchett wowed all awards season long giving one glamorous look after the next. She shocked most by not selecting a blue gown from the Armani Prive Spring 2014 RTW collection, but I feel like she didn't want the headlines pulling reference to the title of the film which gave her her win, 'Blue Jasmine.' If the stunning Australian actress takes to the red carpet at the Met Ball then I am praying she wears one of the blue gowns. I think that blue is a wonderful color on Cate and I would love to see her wear this amazing strapless lace gown. This is an elegant option even for an over the top event such as the Met. Diamond and sapphire Chopard earrings and some dyed to match Roger Vivier pumps will complete this amazing look for the Met Ball.
Last month burlesque queen Dita von Teese took a trip to the Zac Posen atelier in New York City and was fitted in several of the gowns from his Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear collection. While she did wear a custom look for the launch of her lingerie collection at Bloomingdale s in Manhattan last month, I am still hoping that she will rock some Posen on the Costume Institute Gala early next month. Zac Posen has been regarded as the Charles James for this generation with a lot of the same styles and silhouettes, so I am excited to see all off the looks that he creates for this event as I am sure there will be a few. This ink blue Zac Posen Fall 2014 RTW gown with a cowel neck, cap sleeves, full skirt, and an open back would literally be a show stopping moment. I am figuring most of the show stopping moments will come from Zac Posen gowns. Matching Christian Louboutin heels, some stunning jewels, and her normal hair and makeup routine will finish off this stunning look.
