2013 MTV Video Music Awards Wish List: Paula Patton

Paula Patton is the wife of R&B crooner Robin Thicke who has one of the catchiest tunes of the summer, 'Blurred Lines,' nominated for a VMA. I will say I am not entirely looking forward to seeing Paula at this years MTV Video Music Awards because this year she has given all kinds of hot mess looks on the red carpet. She needs to fire her stylist in favor of someone who would actually be able to dress her and flatter her. I had to go back to the 2012 Golden Globe Awards to find a decent picture of Paula in her yellow Monique Lhuillier mermaid gown. While a gown is not where I think that Paula should go for the 2013 VMA's I do think that she should stick to Monique Lhuillier because the two of them usually make good red carpet music together. I think that this gold brocade print crepe georgette peplum corset top and black silk crepe pants would be the perfect ensemble for this event. Complete this look with a pair of black Christian Louboutin platform pumps and a black oversized clutch and ditch the coat paired with this ensemble.
