2013 Hollywood Film Awards Wish List

 The road to the 2014 Academy Awards will begin on Sunday October 21st at the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards, the first major awards event of the season. One thing different about this awards show is that all of the winners are announced prior to the night of the event. The 2013 Hollywood Ensemble Award will be handed over to the ensemble cast of 'August: Osage County' on Sunday night and 17 year old Abigail Breslin is one of the members of the cast. Abigail has a dark but flirty and young red carpet style. For the premiere of the film at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival she wore a dark floral Alice + Olivia gown which she paired with a denim jacket to make it just that much more youthful. For the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards I would love to see this pastel colored Giles Spring 2014 RTW camo print cocktail dress. This is a youthful cocktail ensemble that is perfect for Abigail and the event. Finish the look with a pony-tail over one shoulder and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin pumps and Abigail will have the perfect red carpet look.

 Camilla Alves is not being honored with anything at this awards show but I am sure she will make an appearance as she is the wife and arm candy of Hollywood Actor Award honoree Matthew McConaughey, who is being honored for his work in 'Dallas Buyers Club.' Camilla always looks elegant when she is playing the plus one role. I think that this teal Zuhair Murad Spring 2014 RTW long sleeve dress with lace inserts. This dress is sophisticated with a sexy twist which is something that we usually see Camilla do when she steps out on the red carpet. Finish this look off with amazing flowing locks, gold sandals,  minimal jewels and Camilla will finish off this amazing look.

 Julia Roberts is the other member of the ensemble cast of 'August: Osage County' on this list who will be honored with the Hollywood Ensemble Award and is also going to be honored with the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award. I have not been a fan of Julia Roberts on the red carpet since her black and white Valentino Oscar gown in 2001. I was happy to see her wear a bold red Dolce & Gabbana dress for the films Toronto International Film Festival and I am hoping to see her continue wearing bold options all through awards season. The only couture wish on this list comes from the Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture collection and I think that this multi colored entirely beaded long sleeved cocktail dress is perfect for Julia and features a sexy open back for a hint of sex appeal. Finish the look with the same nude sandals that she wore with her Dolce & Gabbana dress will make for the perfect look for her to wear Sunday night.

 I will have to say that the woman I am most looking forward to seeing take to the red carpet at the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards is the New Hollywood Award honoree Lupita Nyong'o. Lupita is being honored for her work in the Steve McQueen drama '12 Years a Slave.' The actress made her big red carpet debut at the films Toronto International Film Festival premiere wearing a white and gold custom made Prada gown, and then continued on to sit front row at the Miu Miu Spring 2014 RTW collection, I am predicting a stunning custom Prada or Miu Miu gown if she makes it to the 2014 Academy Awards. But for Sunday nights Hollywood Film Awards I would love to see Lupita wear this amazing red, white, and black Miu Miu Spring 2014 RTW cocktail ensemble that is finished off with beaded fringe on the bodice and waist. I am not usually a fan of the Miu Miu collections on the runway, usually favoring the custom red carpet pieces, but I am really in love with this look. I think that Lupita is one of the few women that I can picture wearing this look and in my head she defiantly is the person that wears it the best. Complete this look with a pair of black sandals and a red clutch and Lupita will have the perfect red carpet look for the Hollywood Film Awards.

I keep hearing the possible Oscar buzz behind Sandra Bullock and I can't actually wait to see her latest film 'Gravity.' I am sure that the Hollywood Actress Award honor from this years Hollywood Film Awards will not hurt her chances of at least scoring a nomination. For her to collect her award Sunday night I would love to see the stunning 49 year old actress wear this rust colored J. Mendel Spring 2014 RTW off the shoulder gown with a sexy slit up to there. I was less than impressed with the red J. Mendel gown Sandy wore for the films Venice Film Festival premiere. I would complete this ensemble with a pair of black and gold Gucci 'Kelis' sandals and a black Gucci 'Hollywood' gold studded clutch to give Sandra the perfect red carpet ensemble for the Hollywood Film Awards.
