2012 Elton John AIDS Foundtation Oscar Viewing Party Best Dressed
Spanish beauty Paz Vega rocked the Elton John AIDS Foundations Oscar Viewing Party wearing a stunning Stephane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture gown. I love that even though this dress is completely covered that Paz still looks sexy. The other thing I really love about this look is the amazing layered hip detail as it adds visual interest to such a otherwise simple look.
Dita Von Teese can do no wrong in my eyes on the red carpet and she proved why the other night at the Elton John party wearing a pale pink Jenny Packham gown with embellished sleeves and neckline. She always knows how to make the most modern gowns look like they stepped out of a a store in the 1940's. Like I said it will take a lot for me to not put her on a best dressed list.
I expected Heidi Klum to step out in a screw you seal dress and this stunning yellow Atelier Versace Spring 2012 Couture mini dress was just what she needed. When I pictured Heidi walking the red carpet I figured she was going to wear a gown with an extreme neck plunge but instead she covered her breasts and showed her back and legs in this stunning dress. Heidi is not one the world should count out and she would look absolutely stunning in this.
Gwen Stefani is either a hit or a miss on the red carpet for me. Well last night she was a hit in this Asian inspired Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 Couture dress. Gwen who tends to favor Asian influenced looks is working her black and red couture dress.
Marisa Miller looked absolutely stunning and much like an Oscar wearing this amazing golden shimmering Johnna Johnson dress. I think that the model who tends to favor much sexier and revealing gowns and cocktail dresses would looks amazing in this. I am really happy I get to feature her on this list this year.
Rose McGowan worked this orange and black Paule Ka. I love Rose as she looked amazing in this gown but also for the fact that no matter what she is wearing always looks like she is working a haute couture fashion photo shoot.
Speaking of looking like she is working a Haute Couture photo shoot, Petra Nemcova looked amazing in her red Stephane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture gown with a center cutout and draped fabric off the shoulder down the front of this dress. She knows she looks good hence why she is working it so hard.
I was pleased to see Zhang Ziyi look so stunning in Elie Saab grey blue (much like Penelope Cruz's gown) and she just looked so goddess-y. I think that this gown looks amazing on her frame and was well put together.
Nina Dobrev looked great in her sexy vampire chic (lol) J. Mendel Fall 2012 RTW gown. She sat front row at this show in New York and she was obviously shopping the runways for the gown that she was going to wear on Sunday and she chose such a stunning gown.
Last but not least we have a stunning red chiffon gown by Maria Lucia Hohan on Ashley Tisdale. Ashely looks all the part of California blonde that she should be. The tan the hair the gown just looks effortless I am excited to see she isn't going insane after her peak of stardom and actually looks presentable and age appropriate on the red carpet.

2012 Academy Awards Best Dressed
I knew from the moment I saw a shot of the top half of Milla Jovovich, in this stunning white beaded Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture gown, that she was going to be the number one on this list. You may ask me why, and the answer to that is quite simple. I fell in love with this stunning gown when it originally walked the runway back in July of 2009. I have been wishing for someone to wear it and I am extremely grateful to Milla for giving it a red carpet outing. She paired her gown with an Edie Parker clutch and Elie Saab shoes to make her my best dressed.
This was the big shocker of the night. Stacy Keibler, George Clooney's plus one, walked the red carpet in a hot off the runway Marchesa Fall 2012 RTW gold gown with a draped shoulder and and a rose hip detail. Not many can make this type of lame fabric work but Stacy looks absolutely stunning in her gown.
Penelope Cruz channeled the amazing women of Hollywood past wearing this grey blue Giorgio Armani ball gown. Penelope Cruz looked absolutely stunning in this gown which she paired with a clutch that matched her gown and some stunning Chopard jewels made this look stunning and this is got to be one of her best looks ever. I love her hair and her makeup.
Gwyneth Paltrow looked 60s chic wearing this stunning custom white Tom Ford gown and cape. The first thing that I thought of was Jacqueline Kennedy at John Kennedy's inaugural ball. She also wore a white gown with a cape by an American designer. I love this look and think that as Gwyneth ages this is more of the look that she should go for instead of tummy bearing gowns as she looks so chic. Anna Hu jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes just add to the elegance and glamour of this look.
The last time Meryl Streep won an Academy Award back in 1982 for 'Sophie's Choice' she wore a gold gown. And again when she wore a stunning custom gold Lanvin gown, Meryl accessorized with the perfect gold accessory a Best Actress Oscar for her role as Margret Thatcher in 'The Iron Lady.' I will say I half expected Meryl to wear a large satin ball gown with a large collar so when I saw wearing this stunning gown I jumped for joy. The accessorized with on the red carpet included a Lanvin clutch, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, and antique Fred Leighton jewels.
As soon as I saw this stunning Louis Vuitton gown I will say that I did a little bit of a jump for joy as it is a huge relief that she looked absolutely amazing wearing a stunning gown. I was happy that Michelle's gown fit her body amazingly and was extremely well accessorized it will a Bottega Veneta clutch, Christian Louboutin shoes, and amazing Fred Leighton jewels.
Emma Stone wowed wearing this fuchsia Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture gown. There are bound to be lots of comparisons to a red Balenciaga gown that Nicole Kidman wore to the 2007 Oscars as they both had similar silhouettes and the big bow the the same side of the body. I will say that even when the gown walked the runway I saw the similarities but none the less Emma works this amazing gown with no abandon. Emma accessorized with Brian Atwood shoes, Louis Vuitton jewels and a clutch also by LV.
Many will not know who Li Bingbing is or why she is on the red carpet. I can not answer either of those questions but when you look this good in a Georges Chakra Spring 2012 Couture gown on the Oscars red carpet. Well I am extremely excited to see this gown and it was absolutely stunning when it walked the runway and translated just as well to the red carpet. I will applaud Li for not lining the sheer aspects of the gown like one would expect for such a formal event. Regular readers might recall that I wished for Katy Perry to wear this to the Grammy Awards, but after seeing this I am extremely happy that she didn't as Li looks amazing.
Jessica Chastain looked absolutely amazing wearing this Alexander McQueen dress that was made from a compilation of looks from the Resort 2012 collection. I will sat that I am extremely surprised not to see Jessica in Armani Prive after the moment that she had with him on the day of the show and her nomination. I will say I expected something totally different from her and then when I saw this I was blown away. I have already had four people ask me where the could get this and were very disappointed that this was custom made for her. She topped her regal gown with two million dollars worth of Harry Winston diamond jewelry.
And last but not least we have Shailene Woodley wearing this stunning Valentino Spring 2012 Couture gown. Many will say that this gown is way to mature for her to wear but I will say that this is a gown that is completely in her style and I am super excited that she looks as good as she does. What earned her a spot on this list is that she actually embraced that fact that doing her hair and makeup are good things and not things that she has to fear. Shailene completed her best dressed ensemble with a Valentino clutch, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, and Harry Winston jewels.

2012 Academy Awards Presenter Wish: Melissa, Milla, Mila, Natalie, Penelope, and Piggy
Melissa Leo is someone who has not been officially announced as a presenter but I am almost sure that she will be on hand on to present the Best Supporting Actress award as she was the recipient last year. The actress who tends to favor Marc Bowuer's designs on the red carpet and I think that she would look stunning in this gown with the neckline raised up. I think that she would look amazing in it. Pair it with a pair of gold pumps and I am going to be a happy man as long as she hires good hair and make up gays.
Milla Jovovich will be on hand on Sunday night to talk about the Academy of Arts and Sciences Sci-Tech Awards which she hosted and presented the awards show. Like with Melissa Leo the presenter of the Sci-Tech Awards is always on hand. I think that she would absolutely stunning in this long sleeved Chanel Fall 2011 Couture gown. Simple hair and makeup along with a pair of gold pumps and a gold clutch.
Mila Kunis would look absolutely stunning presenting at the 2012 Academy Awards wearing this one sleeved purple Christian Dior Spring 2012 Couture gown. Mila is the spokesmodel for Christian Dior right now so I am expecting to see her wear Dior for the time being. I think that she would look absolutely in this with a black clutch, black peep toe pumps, and some diamond earrings and rings would look absolutely stunning on her.
Hot Hollywood power couple, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy are going to present with each other at the 2012 Academy Awards. The stunning pig has made appearance this year so far wearing Giles at 'The Muppets' London premiere and a Louis Vuitton gown for the BAFTA Awards. I think that she would look absolutely stunning in the sequined gold and cream Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2012 RTW Gown. This dress screams Miss Piggy. She should pair this with some of her signature white opera gloves and that is about it.
As the recipient of the 2011 Best Actress award for her role in 'Black Swan' Natalie Portman should be on hand to present this years award to one of her fellow colleagues such as Meryl Streep, Viola Davis, or Michelle Williams. I think that this Azzaro Pre-Fall 2012 gown would look absolutely stunning on Natalie and she looked amazing in her white strapless Azzaro last year at the SAG Awards and think that she should wear the brand again. For the red carpet I would pair this look with a silver crystal encrusted clutch and some matching blue peep toe pumps, as well as some great diamond earrings.
Penelope Cruz is tapped to present this Sunday and I am super excited to see what the stunning Spanish beauty wears on the red carpet. I personally would pull this cream and black one shouldered Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture gown for her. This would look stunning on Penelope's body and skin tone. I love when Penelope wears gowns that are more figure hugging on the top and flowyer on the bottom as I feel that those flatter her the most. I would pair this gown with a light gold leather clutch and D'Orsay sandals. Some great earrings and bracelets.

2012 Academy Awards Best Actress Nominees Wish List
The Oscars are Sunday night and I am super excited to see all the nominees take to the red carpet outside of the Kodak Theater before heading in to receive their awards. Glenn Close is super stunning and I think that she would look absolutely stunning in this Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2012 navy ruffled ball gown. I would have half sleeves added to this dress to make it a little more elegant and age appropriate. Some great diamond and sapphire earrings, a navy clutch, and some navy peep toe pumps would be absolutely perfect and Glenn would look absolutely amazing.
I saw this red Carolina Herrera Fall 2012 RTW in a special preview of the collection and the moment I did I knew that it was what I want Meryl Streep to wear this year to the Oscars. I believe after seeing 'The Iron Lady' that Meryl is a huge contender for the little gold statue on Sunday. I think that she would look absolutely stunning on her and it is totally something that she would pull. No clutch, and some black peep toe pumps and diamond earrings would be all that Meryl will need to win.
I am really excited to see what Michelle Williams is going to wear to the 2012 Academy Awards as she has constantly been getting better in her style. I think that this yellow Jason Wu Spring 2012 RTW ball gown with a rise and fall hem is not your typical Oscar dress but is something that Michelle would look stunning in. Michelle is a huge fan of Jason Wu and I am hoping that she wears him on Sunday giving him his first Oscar appearance. This gown without the black belt, a gold clutch, and some gold strappy sandals along with some great gold jewelry will push Michelle onto my best dressed list.
Another Oscars another year I will wish for this dress to be worn. Last year I wished for 'Black Swan' star and Best Supporting Actress nominee Mila Kunis to wear it. This year I have chosen to put Rooney Mara in this stunning red creation. This is seriously one of my favorite gowns and I am still shocked that it has not been worn thus far. I choose this because I am praying for Rooney not to wear another black gown to this award show. I would love for this to be her Oscar dress, paired with some great diamond earrings and some red peep toe pumps.
Last but not least I have this amazing blue Elie Saab Fall 2011 Couture gown for the always stunning Viola Davis. Viola is the other actress nominated in this category that I would like to see go home with the statue. I do not envy the members of the Academy for having to make up their mind on who should receive the coveted little gold naked man on Sunday night. I think that this gown would look absolutely stunning on the actress who has been progressively making more fashion forward and amazing red carpet choices as of late. I think that she would look great in this and the dress has amazing movement. I would pair it with matching clutch and peep toe pumps and some amazing diamond earrings and bracelets.
