2014 Golden Globe Awards: Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television Wish List

Dame Helen Mirren is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Movie made for Television for her HBO movie 'Phil Spector' at the Golden Globe Awards next Sunday I love this woman because even at a grand old age of 68, she still knows how to have fun on the red carpet. Last year we saw Helen cut off all her hair into a pixie cut which she dyed cotton candy pink for the BAFTA Awards and wear plexiglass platform 'stripper' heels under her Elie Saab gown for the 'Red 2' premiere in Los Angeles. With all that in mind I truly think that this purple Reem Acra Pre-Fall 2014 gown with a beaded peplum top and flowing chiffon skirt would be the perfect look for Helen for the Golden Globes. Finish the look with a simple matching purple clutch, a quirky pair of shoes, and some stunning diamonds will make sure Helen catches the worlds eyes again.
Unlike Helen Mirren, Jessica Lange takes the graceful sophisticated older approach to dressing for the red carpet, which can sometime turn out the wrong type of looks. Jessica is again nominated for her work in American Horror Story. I have chosen this ink blue Badgley Mishka Spring 2014 RTW gown wish covers up her entire body except her arms. The simple design comes with a beaded patch on each shoulder to add a little dazzle to the look for Jessica. Jessica is one who likes to keep it simple on the red carpet when it comes to styling. I'd finish this look off with a pair of black Salvatore Ferragamo satin peep toe pumps and a statement cuff (like it was paired with on the runway) to complete this stunning ensemble.
