Today marks the last day of red carpet wishes for the 2015 Golden Globe Award nominees, starting tomorrow will be presenters! We are getting close ladies and gentlemen! Only 4 more days! Michelle Monaghan is nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television at Sunday nights awards thanks to her HBO mini-series "True Detective." I was absolutely loving almost everything that Michelle was putting down on the red carpet last year and I am hoping that she keeps up her red carpet mojo during awards season. I picked this dramatic Georges Hobeika Fall 2014 Couture trumpet gown with metallic lace and a portrait neckline for the actress to work as she walks the red carpet. A chic chignon, a light face of makeup, a clutch dyed to match, and a pair of gold pumps would ensure that Michelle makes a major red carpet impact.
Robin Wright is nominated Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama for her hit Netflix web series "House of Cards," again come Sunday night. Robin has recently brought a minimalist wardrobe in neutrals to the red carpet in all of her ensembles and I am predicting that is not going to change any time soon. Based on that is why I picked this cream Ralph Rucci Spring 2015 RTW crepe silk dress that features sheer mesh panels on the upper arm and just below the knee and a soft v-neckline. I think that Robin would look stunning in this gown really showcasing her mastering minimalism. Gold sandals would be all that I would add to finish this look off for the red carpet for Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.
Ruth Wilson has been slowly growing on me with her red carpet style as time runs on. I am hoping that this pattern continues at Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards where her role in the Showtime breakout hit "The Affair" has garnered her a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama. Despite the fact that I believe that Robin Wright will ultimately take home the trophy I am hoping Ruth will bring it for the Globes. I picked this navy Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture embellished ball gown with cape like blouse for this red carpet. This is a very dramatic statement for an actress not nominated for film or expected to win in her category to make but I think it is one that Ruth could and would pull off with great aplomb. A wavy bob, a red lip, and a pair of dyed to match navy sandals would make this a perfect red carpet look for Ruth and the Golden Globe Awards.
I have been in love with Taylor Schilling since her first Emmy Awards back in 2013 where she wowed in a custom white hot Thakoon gown. It was her big break into the red carpet world and her steam has not even started to slow. With a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series, Comedy or Musical thanks to her hit Netflix web series "Orange Is The New Black" I am hoping that her steam doesn't slow. After donning couture for the 2014 Emmy Awards I think we are setting up to see Taylor wear an even more amazing couture look Sunday night. I would love to see her in this amazing Atelier Versace Fall 2014 Couture one shoulder white gown that features color blocking with black and silver Swarovski embellishments on the bodice and strap. Finish the look with a white clutch, and white sandals covered in crystal embellishments a red lip, a pair of short drop earrings, and a chic up-do will make sure that Taylor wins the night on the red carpet even if she doesn't take home one of the coveted Golden Globes.
Last year was a big year for Uzo Aduba. She won an Emmy and a Critics Choice Award for her role as Crazy Eyes in the Netflix series "Orange Is The New Black" and Sunday night she is nominated, and expected to win, Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. Uzo also made leaps and bounds on the red carpet, unexpectedly wowing me wearing a vampy red custom Christian Siriano gown at the 2014 Emmy Awards. I am hoping that she brings the same wow to me come Sunday night. I picked this optical white hand beaded Zac Posen Spring 2015 RTW that features a boned bustier bodice, a tonal hand embroidered and beaded
panel at the front, an angular construction at the sides and pleating at
the back because I think that it is time to see Uzo have a real princess moment. She is not longer a guest star and the spotlight is on her. Finish the look with some stunning statement earrings, a diamond bracelet, a pair of silver pumps, a bold red lip, and slicked back elegant hair to ensure that Uzo has a major moment on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Viola Davis killed, no pun intended, her performance as Annalise Keating in the breakout ABC drama "How To Get Away With Murder." It came as no surprise that she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama for the show. I am praying to the awards gods that she takes home the trophy because I absolutely love her in this show. I picked a bold gown for her to wear as I believe that it will be her big night. This hot pink Ralph Lauren Spring 2015 RTW silk tulle skirted gown with a t-shirt top with stunning necklace style embellishments would make for a wow moment from that actress that has really failed to light my fire as of late. A pink clutch, the runways pink sandals, and a red lip will finish this look off and almost guarantee that Viola will top best dressed lists.
