2013 Golden Globe Awards Wish List: Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical

Emily Blunt is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.' Emily will most likely not make it to the Academy Awards with this because it is a comedy and the nominations in the Best Actress category usually goes to those in dramatic films. So I would love to see Emily bring Paris couture to this event wearing this Ottoman Empire inspired Elie Saab Fall 2012 Couture cornflower blue gown. Emily has worn some amazing looks in the past and quite a few have been by Elie Saab. This gown is definitely one of the more avant garde looks that walked this collection and I think that Emily is one of the few that would be able to pull off this look. Finish it with a gold satin Kotur clutch with a tassel, some gold strappy heels, and a sleek hairstyle and she is set to be on the best dressed lists.
I am going to give Jennifer the night off of wearing Christian Dior for this event. I think that the young actress the desperately needs to regain her footing on the red carpet would look stunning in this white and black Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2013 gown. Jennifer has stuck to wearing Dior for most of her major red carpet appearances so I do kind of find it unlikely that the star will not wear a Dior gown but I am hoping for something different. I hope she follows in fellow Dior spokesmodel Natalie Portman's footsteps by always incorporating the brand into her look but not always wearing the brand head to toe like Marion Cotillard. Pair this look with an aqua Christian Dior clutch, the Christian Louboutin teal 'Vampanodo' sandals, and finish the look with Dior Haute Jewelry.
No Golden Globe Awards ceremony is complete without a nomination for Meryl Streep. Meryl is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy for 'Hope Springs,' I do not believe that she will take home the trophy but she will look age appropriate and glamorous no matter what. I wold love to see her wear this midnight blue silk Valentino Fall 2012 Couture gown for the awards ceremony. I think that this gown is perfect for Meryl and hits all the signatures that she is known for, sleeves, modesty, and glamorous draping. Pair it with matching midnight blue Salvatore Ferragamo pumps, a midnight blue clutch, and finish it off with some sparkling sapphire and diamond jewelry and she is done.
