2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards Wish List

Anne Hathaway is being honored this year at the Costume Designers Guild Awards withe the LACOSTE Spotlight Awards. This award spotlights a different actress every year and has been precessed by the likes of Kate Beckinsale and Halle Berry. For this awards show I would love to see Anne wear this black, blue, and orange tulle Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture cocktail dress. Anne has been resorting back to the almost princessy ensembles that she wore so often in the past and I am just coming to accept it and I think that this dress would look amazing on Anne. Pair it with a pair of black peep toe Louboutins and a black Leiber clutch and the ensemble would be complete with simple diamond jewelry accessories.

I am not quite sure what has happened with Jessica Chastain but she has not had a great look all awards season. Every look that she has given us has been ill fitting or ugly. For the 2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards if she is to attend I would love to see her wear this red, white, and grey Armani Prive Spring 2013 Couture one shouldered cocktail dress. Armani likes to pair pants under his cocktail dresses and this I will never understand but if Jessica wore the dress sans pants with a pair of red peep toe pumps I think she could have a winning look on her hands.

Jennifer Lawrence looked incredible at the 2013 SAG Awards in a navy blue Christian Dior Spring 2013 Couture gown and finally it made sense why she was a Dior Spokesmodel. So for the Costume Designers Guild Awards I would love to see her wear this black and blue striped Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 cocktail dress. I think that this is the perfect mix of girly and sporty that Jennifer needs to have a winning red carpet looks. She is not a girl that will rock floaty Marchesa goddess gowns or heavily embellished Elie Saab designs she needs the looks with a bit of a sporty edge. Finish this look with a black Leiber clutch, and some black Jimmy Choo sandals.

The costumes in Keira Knightley's film 'Anna Karenina' were absolutely stunning and I believe that the costume designer will take home an award for her work on the film. If Keira were to take to the red carpet at the 2013 Costume Designers Guild Awards I would love to see her wear this amazing Valentino Spring 2013 Couture frock. The star has a great friendship with the French couture house and has worn several of there amazing looks head to toe on the red carpet before and I think that this should be the case with this as it was styled exactly how I would style it for Keira on the runway.

Nicole Kidman will definitely get a most improved award this year if she keeps up stunning on the red carpet. The costume designer for Nicole's TV movie 'Hemingway & Gellhorn' is nominated for her work on the film and because of this and the fact that Nicole has presented at the Costume Designers Guild Awards before I think it is likely to see her there. I think that this black heavily embellished Elie Saab Spring 2013 Couture gown would look amazing on Nicole classically sophisticated event though she has been giving us a lot of sophistication with an edge lately.  Finish this look with a black stain clutch and a pair of black and bold colored stain pumps, to complete a stunning red carpet ensemble.
