Runway Report: ZAC Zac Posen Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear

The space race in the 1960's along with the photographs of William Klein served as the inspiration that Zac Posen looked to as he created his ZAC Zac Posen Fall 2015 RTW collection. Of the ZAC Zac Posen woman for Fall 2015 Zac Posen said "Her wardrobe is infused with lush fabrications and feminine silhouettes with a stylized focus is on street-wear without minimizing the sartorial prowess." The colors and the patterns in the collection were strategically picked to evoke either space or the1960's, or both. All of the patterns in this collection are digitized versions of images taken from Posen's own Instagram account.
What I loved about this collection was that it really mixed cool with the classic Posen glamour. We see structural Zac Posen gowns on the red carpets all the time, and this collection makes those style accessible. The day wear is chic with an edge. Some of my favorite pieces are the black leather and fur jacket, the red to black ombre cocoon style coat, the light blue velvet gown, the black and green ombre structural dress and the dahlia print caped gown. Many of the pieces in this collection would enhance a wardrobe. I am also praying that the three gowns shown get a red carpet moment.
