Runway Report: Erin Fetherston Spring/Summer 2016 RTW

Erin Fetherston Spriing 2016 RTW
I have noticed that a lot of the collections that have been presented thus far, mind you we are only on Day 1, during New York Fashion Week have been very fall like for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. I was very pleased to see that Erin Fetherston stuck to the right season when creating her Spring/Summer 2016 RTW collection. Erin built on one of Fall 2015's biggest trends, the 70s, but instead of the heavy disco glamour we saw a lighter airy side. I dub this collection Romantic Hippie because all of the soft flowing frocks and chic simple florals that were presented. Prints inspired by needlepoint embroidery evoke scrolling roses and scattered blossoms. Can't you just picture some of these looks on Coachella guests wearing flower crowns and dancing around in the wind. My favorite look in this collection was the tierd white maxi dress with the plunging neckline. I am really hoping that young Hollywood takes notice of this collection as well as street style mavens like Olivia Palermo and Reese Witherspoon because these looks deserve a spotlight be in on a red carpet or on the sidewalk runway.
